The article studies the species varieties of forest insects in the centers of attack with determination of the tree stocking degree. The major insect species are represented by such samilies as bark beetlesipidae capricon betles – Cerambycidae. The artice considers the effect of insect on common pipe decaying in the location of pine fungus. It has been substantiated that the formalion of forest insect attack centers depend on the age of trees. Concentration of larger and lasser pine – shoot beetles dominates in the forest of 40 years of age. They intensify the effect of pine fungus with further weakening the trees. Following the results of investigation it has been determined that such insects as larger pine-shoot beetle lesser pine-shoot beetle, black pine Capricorn beetle, blue pine char cool beetle, Curkulio glandium are the synergist of Heterobasidion annosum finvader.Обгрунтовано значення ентомологічного фактора у розповсюдженні кореневої губки сосни звичайної, а також видового складу стовбурових шкідників в осередках Heterobasidion annosum з визначенням ступеня заселеності дерев. Основні види стовбурових шкідників представлені родинами: короїди – Іріdае, вусачі – Сеrambycidае, златки – Вuprestidае, довгоносики – Сulculionida).Предметом роботи є збудник кореневої губки сосни звичайної в умовах Корабельного лісництва державного підприємства «Житомирське лісове господарство». Метою роботи є вивчення впливу стовбурових шкідників на всихання сосни звичайної в осередках кореневої губки. Встановлено, що формування осередків стовбурових шкідників залежить від віку насаджень – осередки великого і малого соснового лубоїдів переважають в насадженнях до 40 років, що призводить до підсилення шкідливої дії кореневої губки. Основними методами проведення робіт є фітопатологічна експертиза соснових насаджень, а також проведення обстежень соснових деревостанів з визначенням характеру всихання в залежності від ступеня ураження як збудником кореневої губки сосни звичайної, так і розповсюдження збудника ентомологічним шляхом в соснових деревостанах.За результатами роботи встановлено, що формування осередків стовбурових шкідників залежить від віку насаджень – осередки великого і малого соснового лубоїдів переважають в насадженнях до 40 років, призводячи до підсилення шкідливої дії кореневої губки і значного ослаблення насадження в подальшому. В результаті проведених досліджень було виявлено, що великий сосновий лубоїд, малий сосновий лубоїд, чорний сосновий вусач, синя соснова златка, соснова жерднякова смолівка є синергітами збудника Heterobasidion annosum.Сферою застосування результатів є лісогосподарські підприємства різних форм власності з метою збереження та захисту лісових насаджень від збудника кореневої губки в умовах зони Полісся України.Висновки досліджень полягають в тому, що для повноцінного відновлення лісів, з лісогосподарської точки зору найбільш ефективнішим вирішенням проблеми є проведення рубок догляду, тоді, коли приріст починає сповільнюватися, отже вдається зберегти максимальний приріст дерев що залишаються, а від реалізації заготовленої при рубках догляду деревини отримати прибуток не чекаючи, поки вони будуть знищені шкідниками. В перспективі є сенс в подальших дослідженнях штучно створених насаджень які ще довгий час не зможуть функціонувати без систематичного і регулярного лісогосподарського та лісосанітарного догляду, причому слід чітко розуміти, що цьому повинен передувати досить тривалий період трансформації штучних лісових фітоценозів до природного стану. Тому важливим завданням лісівників в ДП „Житомирське ЛГ” у цьому напрямку є підтримання стабільного фітосанітарного стану насаджень і всебічна стимуляція природних саморегуляційних процесів в лісових екоценозах.

Invasive forest insects continue to accumulate in Australia (and worldwide) and cause significant impacts through costs of prevention, eradication and management, and through productivity losses and environmental and biodiversity decline. We used our recent non-native Australian forest insect species inventory to analyse border interception rates (2003–2016) of established species, and link interception frequencies with biological traits, historical establishment patterns, commodities and countries of origin. The strongest predictor of interception frequency was year of establishment. Polyphagous species were more likely to be intercepted, as were more concealed species, although this latter likely reflects the higher interceptions of bostrichid borers and other wood-boring Coleoptera relative to other taxa. Interceptions occurred more often for species native to Asia; in contrast, interceptions from other regions were more likely to be of species invasive there. While interception frequencies did not provide a good overall indicator of contemporaneous species establishments, wood and bark borers were more closely linked for establishments and interceptions. The first fifty forest insect species to establish comprised 85% of all border interceptions of established species between 2003 and 2016, while the most-recent fifty species represented just 6% of interceptions. We suggest that early-establishing species are among the “super-invaders” that continue to move globally, while more recent invasive species may be exploiting new trade pathways, new commodity associations, or changes in dynamics in their countries of origin.

In the present paper we have determined the fatty acid content of some edible insects of Mexico. A comparative analysis of the insect species studied in this research showed that caproic acid was present in a minimal proportion which ranged between 0.01 for Periplaneta americana (nymphs) and 0.06 (g/100 g, dry basis) for Euschistus strenuus. The highest proportion of caprilic acid (0.09) was found in Tenebrio molitor (adults). Atta sp. had the highest amount of capric acid (0.26). Polistes sp. was found to be rich in lauric acid (0.77) and for myristic acid it had the highest content (5.64). Dactylopius sp. and E. strenuus were rich in palmitic acid (14.89). Euschistus taxcoensis had the highest quantity of palmitoleic acid (12.06). Llaveia axin exhibited the highest quantity of stearic acid (22.75). Polistes sp. was found to be rich in oleic acid (38.28). The highest quantity of linoleic acid was observed in T. molitor (larvae) (10.89), and in L. axin the highest content of linolenic acid (7.82) was obtained. A comparison between the species under the present investigation revealed that, in general, the insects are poor in caproic, caprilic, capric, lauric, myristic, palmitoleic and linolenic acids, because the quantities were either minimal or could not be detected at all. They had moderate quantities of stearic, palmitic and linoleic acids and had high quantities of oleic acid. Finally it was concluded that although a particular insect species is unable to fulfil the total fatty acid need for a human, if consumed in combination they could definitely be able to supply a good amount of this highly valued nutrient.

În perioada 16 – 20 septembrie 2019, a avut loc la Suceava cea de-a 13-a conferință internațională a Grupului de lucru IUFRO* 7.03.10 „Methodology of forest insect and disease survey in Central Europe”, cu titlul „Recent Changes in Forest Insects and Pathogens Significance”. Conferința este organizată, la fiecare 2 ani, de către universități sau institute de cercetare din domeniul forestier din Europa iar, după 19 ani, conferința revine în România. Facultatea de Silvicultură din cadrul Universităţii ”Ștefan cel Mare” a avut onoarea de a fi organizatoarea acestei manifestări științifice importante, sub coordonarea comitetului grupului de lucru IUFRO 7.03.10. La buna desfășurare a conferinței au contribuit Asociația „Societatea pentru Silvicultură si Mediu Suceava”, precum și sponsorii Regia Națională a Pădurilor Romsilva și compania AlphaScent (USA). Temele abordate în cadrul conferinței se încadrează în sfera preocupărilor privind dăunătorii și bolile care afectează pădurile din Emisfera Nordică și identificarea de soluții tehnice pentru controlul bolilor și dăunătorilor, respectiv: actualizarea informațiilor privind distribuția bolilor si dăunătorilor forestieri; identificarea si monitorizarea speciilor invazive de boli și dăunători și identificarea de soluții pentru reducerea impactului bolilor și dăunătorilor forestieri. Conferința a reunit peste 80 de participanți și invitați, cercetători și practicieni din domeniul protecției pădurilor din 19 țări, care au împărtășit rezultatele activității lor în domeniul protecției pădurilor în cadrul celor 31 de prezentări orale și a celor 28 de postere afișate. Cu sprijinul colegilor de la Direcția Silvică Suceava, Ocolul Silvic Adâncata și Ocolul Silvic Pojorâta, programul conferinței a inclus o excursie in rezervațiile naturale Pădurea Zamostea Luncă și Codrul Secular Giumalău, o ocazie rară pentru participanți de a cunoaște și admira frumusețea naturii acestui colț de țară.

Today, the important problem is the creation of new decamethoxine and thiotriazoline based drugs for the treatment of stomatitis. The aim of the work is to develop a method for quantitative determination of decamethoxine and thiotriazoline in the model mixture (1:25) by spectrophotometry. Materials and methods. Series 6 model mixtures were made at the ratio of decamethoxine and thiotriazoline 1:25. We used certified substances: thiotriazoline series GTT 3460911 (manufacturer: State Enterprise Chemical Reagents Plant, Kharkiv), decamethoxine series № 010915 (manufacturer: LLC “PHARMCHIM”). Optizen POP spectrophotometer, polyvinyl alcohol, hydrochloric acid, and eosin were used. Results. A method for quantitative determination of decamethoxine and thiotriazoline in MS was developed. It was established that the content of active substances in MS is thiotriazoline from 0.5021 to 0.5096, decamethoxine from 0.0207 to 0.0211. Conclusions. A method for quantitative determination of decamethoxine and thiotriazoline in MS has been developed. The method of quantitative determination of decamethoxine and thiotriazoline in MS is reproducible.

Objective: The aim of the work was to determine the validation characteristics for the designed procedure for quantitation of the (S)-2,6- diaminohexanoic acid substance, 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate, by absorption spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet region.Methods: For study purposes, the substance (S)-2,6-diaminohexanoic acid of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate and a standard sample (SS) obtained from the State Enterprise “Chemical Reagents Plant” of the Scientific-Technological Complex “Institute of Single Crystals” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, was used. In the course of our work, we used chemical, physical, physicochemical (absorption spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet region), and statistical methods of analysis. The study was carried out at the Laboratory for Standardization and Technology of Medicines at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Zaporizhia State Medical University (Ukraine).Results: In previous studies, we have developed a technique for spectrophotometric determination of the quantitative composition of (S)-2,6- diaminohexanoic acid of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate. The results of the conducted studies showed that the absorption curve in the UV region of the substance solution has a maximum absorption, namely: λ = 238 nm. The results of the quantitation of the substance (S)-2,6-diaminohexanoic acid of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate prove that our technique is accurate and reproducible and meets the current requirements. In order for the developed methodology to ensure consistent and accurate analysis results, its validation was carried out. According to the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (DFU) (2 editions), the developed method for the quantitation of the substance was checked for such validation characteristics as specificity, linearity, range of use, accuracy, correctness, and robustness.Conclusion: As a result of the work, it was proved that the developed method of the quantitation of the substance (S)-2,6-diaminohexanoic acid of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate by spectrophotometric method is valid.

Abstract The study was conducted in the forests of the State Enterprise “Gorodotske Forest Economy”, located in the Manevytsko-Volodymyretsky region of the Volyn Polissya in Ukraine. The annosum root rot (Heterobasidion annosum (Fr.) Bref.) impact on timber merchantability was investigated. The comparison of the cost estimation of stands assortment structure was carried out on the basis of the market value at current selling prices of the State Enterprise “Gorodotske Forest Economy” of the Volyn Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting as of 2017, taking into account the quality and the average length of the assortments. We present a comparative analysis of productivity, merchantability and assortment structure and financial value of timber volume by various assortments of pine and birch stands of the Volyn Polissya region affected by annosum root rot. We found that in the pine plantations, the overall productivity and the value of merchantable wood was higher by 42% in the control sites (areas between the fungal disease centers) as compared with those in the root rot disease centers. In the middle-aged birch-pine stands, the value of merchantable wood was higher than that in pine plantations of 34 the comparable age: by 9% in the disease centers and by 8% in control sites.
