The paper presents the development results of computer methods for analyzing text data and assessing classification inaccuracies at the stages of thematic modeling. This study uses as an example the task to process textual data of a collection of graduate qualification works prepared and defended by students of Altai State University, Faculty of Mathematics and IT in recent years. The main results obtained in the paper are listed as follows. Relevant application areas and directions for computer methods and thematic modeling in the educational process are identified. Justification of the general algorithm for solving the problem of the thematic analysis of collections of educational materials is carried out. Information technologies for thematic modeling are developed, and estimation of analysis errors on a set of test documents is obtained. It is shown that computer-based methods of thematic modeling and information technology to support them can be used both in the educational process and in the development of educational and methodological documents.

The purpose of the study is to analyze pre-service IT teachers' views on seminar which is supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) related to current methodologies and tools in K-12 computer programming education. The study sample consisted of 44 pre-service IT teachers who study as 3rd or 4th undergraduate program at Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology in 21 different universities. The data is collected through a Students’ Perceptions about Kid’s Programming Language Questionnaire consisting of 27 five-point Likert-type items, grouped under three factors. The collected quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as means, standard deviations. The results of the study indicated that almost all visual programming tools have positive effects on students’ views, Small Basic is not as effective as other tools. It is due to this situation that Small Basic tool is text-based in contrast to the other block-based features.

Recent developments in technology have changed the learner’s profile and the learning outcomes. Today, with the emergence of higher-order thinking skills and computer literacy skills, teaching through traditional methods is likely to fail to achieve the learning outcomes. That is why; teachers and teacher candidates are expected to have computer literacy skills. Programming is the main focus of this study since it is an important part of computer literacy. The study aims to analyze mathematics education students’ skills in the process of programming and their practices of integrating it into their teaching. The participants of the study are 42 third grade students of an Elementary Mathematics Education Program of a state university in Turkey. Within the study in which theory and practice was carried out simultaneously, the participants were taught the basics of programming and the algorithms with C programming language. The teacher candidates put the theoretical knowledge into practice using the visual programming application by MIT App Inventor at the computer laboratory. In addition, they used the MIT App Inventor visual programming environment to develop programs they will use in teaching mathematics in groups. Given the component of teaching of programming during this process, it is considered that the process of teaching in question will be effective in planning the teaching process of future studies. The reason is that not only it analyses the development of the variables used in this study but also because it takes into consideration the opinions of teacher candidates.

Educating young people is one of the most beautiful and humane vocations. The transfer of knowledge to young people and their introduction into the world of science requires a well-prepared and organized educator. The application of information technologies in education has become an everyday tool, so that its role in the educational process has come to the fore during the last two years. The Covid 19 pandemic brought new challenges to the education system in Republika Srpska. The best solutions for the teaching process were sought. At the beginning, the classes were conducted at a distance, last year in classrooms with classes shortened to 20 minutes, and this year the classes again last 45 minutes, with respect to protection measures. The paper will show how the students coped with all these changes and how much their knowledge of information technology helped them in all this. The research includes an analysis of data collected by a survey of high school students and refers to their attitudes towards the performance of the teaching process in the past few years.

Modern teaching methods are implemented with the use of information technologies that facilitate and accelerate the transfer of knowledge to students, increase student motivation and increase the level of assimilation of information through diversity and interactivity of its visual representation. Today, there are many approaches to using augmented reality technology in education. Such learning system can be divided into three basic groups: visualization of 3D images for a visual representation of training material; recognition and marking of real objects, which are oriented in space; the interaction of the virtual object is constructed in the computer (smartphone) with the person in real-time. The article describes the concept of augmented reality and focuses on the use of augmented reality technology in the educational process of training of students of technical specialties. Given the relevance and benefits of using this technology in the educational process. Analyzed AR apps «AR Circuits 4D» and «Electricity AR» with a view to their adaptation to the educational process of training specialists in electronics. The algorithm of creating apps augmented reality platform Vuforia and Unity3D software. Requirements for image targets, 3D models and their format, software Unity 3D. Provides practical experience in creating educational AR applications on the platform Vuforia and Unity3D software that renders 3D images of the DC-AC converter for illustration of educational material. 3D model converter created in the CAD system Proteus Design Suite, which conventuals Autodesk FBX Converter to format .fbx. The AR app is downloaded to the Android device by any known method.

The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.

The article discusses the prospects of role-playing games in the educational process to increase students’ motivation and involvement, as well as the possibility of modern information technologies (primarily social networks) for constructing innovative forms of such games. The author’s format of the live-action role-playing game is presented. It was developed and tested at the Saratov State University. It involves the integration of numerous educational tasks into a single plot, within which each participant plays a role and communicates with other participants to complete tasks. The main interaction, plot development and group activities occur in dialogs, conversations and groups of social networks. This approach has shown its viability in teaching legal disciplines, and also has prospects for use in IT education.
