The use of robotics systems in education also known as "Educational robotics", "Robotics in education" is gaining popularity as a trend. This is evidenced by the increase in the number of publications on this topic in scientific journals and conducting an experiment at the national level on "Methodological system of teaching the basics of technology and robotics as part of STEM-education" by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The rapid development of the robotics industry necessitates training of appropriately qualified specialists. However, school remains a traditional place to master basic competencies needed to determine the professional orientation of a person, and familiarity with robotics increases the chances of students choosing this area of activity in the future. Teachers mainly choose the most common technical tools for teaching robotics, which has both advantages and disadvantages. It is important to develop a classification of educational technical solutions that already exist and are used in the process of teaching the basics of robotics at school. The paper analyzes sets of components used in teaching the basics of robotics for school-aged children, explores 84 different technical solutions that can be used in the process of learning robotics, and identifies common and distinctive features. As a result of the research a classification of robotic platforms and ready-made technical solutions was offered for use by teachers in the process of teaching students the basics of robotics. In the perspective of further research, it is planned to develop methodological recommendations for the selection of content and means of teaching the basics of robotics to secondary school pupils.

The article investigates the results of stakeholder analysis applied in the course of design and implementation of a national-level project aimed at Ukrainian dual studies management (DSM) system formation. The concept of dual studies (DS) was introduced and promoted in Ukraine thanks to a launched in 2013 project conducted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Office in Ukraine (FES-Ukraine) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES), Ukrainian Marketing Association, a wide range of higher educational establishments (HEEs), employers, their associations and other interested parties. Being a complex project, it required deliberate approach to stakeholder analysis and classification that allowed shaping well-targeted strategies aimed at ensuring the required scope of stakeholders’ engagement. The authors applied the Mendelow’s Matrix of stakeholder classification; offered classification of stakeholders according to the DSM levels (macro or state level; meso or regional and sectoral level; and micro level or the level of HEE-company cooperation); and, in addition, in 2013 (launch of the project) and 2019 (launch of the national experiment of DSM introduction as a result of project activities) the authors conducted superposition of stakeholders in the “impact – engagement” system of coordinates. This approach demonstrated expected vs. caused impact of stakeholders on DSM introduction and their expected/real engagement into DSM system functioning in Ukraine. A superposition interference as of 2013 and 2019 demonstrated differences in the list and functions of stakeholders engaged into Ukrainian DSM system on the initial and current stages of its development. This allowed confirming the hypothesis concerning the impossibility of German DSM management system “import” without its adaptation to the national context.

Digital transformation has led to changes in business models of traditional players in the existing markets. What is more, new entrants and new markets appeared, in particular platforms and multisided markets. The emergence and rapid development of platforms are caused primarily by the existence of so called indirect network externalities. Regarding to this, a question arises of whether the existing instruments of competition law enforcement and market analysis are still relevant when analyzing markets with digital platforms? This paper aims at discussing advantages and disadvantages of using various tools to define markets with platforms. In particular, we define the features of the SSNIP test when being applyed to markets with platforms. Furthermore, we analyze adjustment in tests for platform market definition in terms of possible type I and type II errors. All in all, it turns out that to reduce the likelihood of type I and type II errors while applying market definition technique to markets with platforms one should consider the type of platform analyzed: transaction platforms without pass-through and non-transaction matching platforms should be tackled as players in a multisided market, whereas non-transaction platforms should be analyzed as players in several interrelated markets. However, if the platform is allowed to adjust prices, there emerges additional challenge that the regulator and companies may manipulate the results of SSNIP test by applying different models of competition.

: Phytocompounds are long known for their therapeutic uses due to their competence as antimicrobial agents. The antimicrobial activity of these bioactive compounds manifests their ability as an antibiofilm agent and is thereby proved to be competent to treat the wide spread of biofilm-associated chronic infections. Rapid development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria has made the treatment of these infections almost impossible by conventional antibiotic therapy, which forced in the switch over to the use of phytocompounds. The present overview deals with the classification of the huge array of phytocompounds according to their chemical nature, detection of their target pathogen, and elucidation of their mode of action.

AbstractThe selection and manipulation of objects in Virtual Reality face application developers with a substantial challenge as they need to ensure a seamless interaction in three-dimensional space. Assessing the advantages and disadvantages of selection and manipulation techniques in specific scenarios and regarding usability and user experience is a mandatory task to find suitable forms of interaction. In this article, we take a look at the most common issues arising in the interaction with objects in VR. We present a taxonomy allowing the classification of techniques regarding multiple dimensions. The issues are then associated with these dimensions. Furthermore, we analyze the results of a study comparing multiple selection techniques and present a tool allowing developers of VR applications to search for appropriate selection and manipulation techniques and to get scenario dependent suggestions based on the data of the executed study.

The benefits of early detection and classification of epileptic seizures in analysis, monitoring and diagnosis for the realization and actualization of computer-aided devices and recent internet of medical things (IoMT) devices can never be overemphasized. The success of these applications largely depends on the accuracy of the detection and classification techniques employed. Several methods have been investigated, proposed and developed over the years. This paper investigates various seizure detection algorithms and classifications in the last decade, including conventional techniques and recent deep learning algorithms. It also discusses epileptiform detection as one of the steps towards advanced diagnoses of disorders of consciousness (DOCs) and their understanding. A performance comparison was carried out on the different algorithms investigated, and their advantages and disadvantages were explored. From our survey, much attention has recently been paid to exploring the efficacy of deep learning algorithms in seizure detection and classification, which are employed in other areas such as image processing and classification. Hybrid deep learning has also been explored, with CNN-RNN being the most popular.
