Abstract Organizations or companies need human resources to carry out all business activities, both related to operations, marketing, finance, human resources, and information systems. Human resources are believed to be one of the key factors in achieving superior organizational performance. Of the various factors that must be considered to achieve this performance are workload, work stress, and motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of work load, work stress, and motivation on RS Ludira Husada Tama employee’s performance. The number of samples was 110 respondents, data collection using questionnaires, and using linear regression analysis. The results in this study indicate: workload and motivation variables partially affect employee performance; workload, work stress, and motivation variables simultaneously influence employee performance; of the three variables; the biggest influence on employee’s performance is the workload variable. Overall, workload, work stress, and motivation variables contributed to the influence of 26.4% while the remaining 73.6% was influenced by other variables not included in the research model.

The tax system reform is a part of Slovakia’s comprehensive tax and levies reform. The reform should contribute to improving and making public finances more efficient. Its implementation into practice, however, is problematic due to attitudes and problems on the part of both the professional public and business entities. The aim of the paper is to help public authorities, and also tax policymakers and business entities to understand the perception of the tax system reform focusing on the most important and key factors of its sustainable effectiveness and performance in the context of its non-macroeconomic especially social, technological and process aspects. The analysis reveals the differences in perceptions of key factors from the viewpoint of the three studied groups. The paper is based on the information of the main actors of tax reform. In extensive empirical quantitative research (N = 1500), the data was obtained through the questionnaire survey carried out in four main districts of Slovakia. The data obtained during six months of 2018 using the questionnaire method were processed by basic statistical methods of descriptive statistics, followed by an analysis of major components and the factor analysis using more sophisticated multidimensional statistical tools. The factor analysis is crucial to the present paper as it has identified five significant indicators of the reform assessment and the functioning of the tax system after tax reform. Subsequently, a correspondence analysis has been applied to the item “electronization/computerization—great user comfort” to find out the differences in its perception by the respondents. The article thus provides a new scientific view on the evaluation of the reform of the financial administration’s management system in the Slovak Republic as well as its functioning in the context of its sustainable effectiveness and performance. The research results offer important and exciting implications and also motives for further investigation on the issue.

Anticipative consistency (AC) and several personal characteristics (e.g., self-efficacy, vital capacity, optimism, trait anxiety) were studied as personal adaptative resources involved in subjective well-being and academic progress of graduate students. More than 600 graduate students of different specialities were interrogated at various stages of the study. To obtain data on subjective well-being, the author used Subjective Well-Being Scale and Satisfaction With Life Scale. An average study grade was an academic progress indicator. To determine significance of personal variables, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Dispositional Optimism Test, Life-Purpose Orientation Test, Vital Capacity Test and Trait Anxiety Scale were used. To process obtained data, frequency study, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and multivariate regression analysis were applied. Student AC factor model includes five elements (i.e., discipline, precaution, learning activity self-direction, success self-rating and mind-body self-regulation). A developed AS-VUZ-2 questionnaire enabled collection of data on the element intensity and general AC of students. Regression analysis revealed that significant positive predictors of subjective well-being include general AC of students and self-efficacy. A subject’s trait anxiety is a significant negative predictor. Several elements of a student’s AC (i.e., precaution and learning activity self-direction), as well as parameters demonstrating a subject’s confidence for life circumstance control and trait anxiety have a positive contribution to academic progress. Parameters indicating self-fulfillment satisfaction and a factor demonstrating a subject’s risk to acquire new experience represent significant negative predictors. Considered as a student’s AC element, precaution has the most significant positive impact on academic progress as compared with all the considered variables.

Objectives: The present study seeks to examine the perception of the graduate students and pensioners of some selected localities of Kolkata about the importance of ATMs as a branch surrogate, impact of the ceiling on withdrawals from ATMs, and the strategies to win over the capping for the customers as well as for the banks to retain them. Participants and Data collection: It obtained primary data from 200 respondents consisting of 140 graduate students and 60 pensioners using different non-probability sampling techniques through schedule and personal interviews. Research Methods: Different statistical tests like factor analysis, Mann Whitney U test, students t-test, regression analysis, and descriptive statistics were performed to assess support for the hypotheses. The reliability of the questions and sample adequacy test was also carried out. Through factor analysis, five major factors viz. perceptions about ATM- an avatar for banks, customers satisfaction in ATM services, customers repercussion on capping, financial planning for withdrawals, and strategies for customers to avoid charges and for banks to retain them were extracted. Results: The results of the study suggest that youth prefer to use ATMs which has become indispensable and provide diversified financial services that leads to customers satisfaction, but withdrawing now requires some planning as customers need to visit branches to avoid fees. To retain the customers the banks should encourage the use of more electronic cards and net banking, should not charge for withdrawing own funds, allow them to access even the non-home branch ATMs close to the their locality, should reduce the minimum average floor balance to enjoy free unlimited access of home bank ATMs and keep currency of higher denomination to reduce the number of transactions.
