Management of Waqf by individual collectors dominates Waqf management in Indonesia. However, since Waqf laws stated that The individual and an institution could manage Waqf, the opportunity to develop Waqf is more open for Waqf institutions. One of the established Waqf institutions is the Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution. This study aims to identify and analyze existing strategies and generate development strategies for Islamic Boarding School-based Waqf. The research method used was descriptive qualitative by using Business Model Canvas (BMC), Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT), and Analytical Network Process (ANP) approaches. The researchers conducted this study in Daarut Tauhiid Islamic Boarding School Bandung from November 2020 to March 2021. The respondents were practitioners, namely the director and staff of Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution, regulators from the Ministry of Religion, and academics from universities in Bogor and Jakarta. Data were collected from in-depth interviews and questionnaires from respondents. The most important development strategy to be implemented in the Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution is the development of human resources competency. Therefore, competent human resources can establish a trusted, professional, and trustworthy team managing Waqf-based Islamic boarding schools.

One Pesantren-One product is a social entrepreneurship program that has the aim of developing an Islamic boarding school-based economy. Participants of one pesantren one product will be assisted through entrepreneurship training, capital, packaging design and creating an online platform. The aim of the research is to explain the program from a social entrepreneurship perspective. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method at the Pesantren At-Taqwa Digitalpreneurship. Data collection was carried out by observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. The results showed that the one pesantren-one product program was based on 4 concepts, namely social value, Innovation, civil society and economic activity so that the implementation was in line with the local wisdom of the pesantren itself.

This research entitled The Role of Islamic Boarding Schools in Preventing Radicalism in the Al-Ma'ruf Lamongan Islamic Boarding School, in this study there are several things that will be examined, namely 1) the role of teaching in the Al-ma'ruf Islamic boarding school in preventing radicalism? 2) the role of kiai in the Al-ma'ruf Islamic boarding school in preventing radicalism? The researcher used qualitative methods and a case study approach. The results of the research of the subjects studied were first through the role of teaching books to understand religion, then the inculcation of disciplinary values, methods and aspects of the curriculum used in the Al-ma'ruf Islamic boarding school based on books or books that teach the values of understanding. moderate Islam, and the cultivation of the ideology of Ahlussunnah Wal jama'ah Annahdliyah (NU), the two roles of the kiai as role models, the kiai as advisors, and the Kiai as guides, hereby researchers want to know about the Role of Islamic Boarding Schools in Preventing Radicalism in Islamic Boarding Schools Al -Ma'ruf Kranggan Sidokumpul Lamongan.

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that develop in the archipelago. The function of the pesantren no longer races on the function of the transmission of the religious science and reproduction of ulama, but also as the center of economic development in achieving financial independence. The study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. The results of the research found that the Islamic Boarding School of Darul Aman Gombara Makassar conducted economic efforts such as laundry, hydroponic, waste processing, canteens, and collaborative business with Central Bank Of Indonesia (BI) in the production of nuggets. The purpose of the business is to build the independence of Islamic boarding schools and the provision of free religious education services for students. But various obstacles are experienced including marketing management and professional human resources in managing the business. It’s needed a strategy in developing a business that can bring profits and sustainability of business to have an impact on the increase in the economy of Islamic boarding schools in particular and society in general. The strategy starts from need assessment analysis, optimizing potential, supervision, and monitoring, and reflection, and evaluation.

Sea transportation is a major factor connecting the islands of Indonesia which has strategic and important value in supporting the sustainability of the national economy. Along with the government's policy on the sea highway program and the development of the domestic shipping industry, the growth of the commercial fleet, especially vessels, is currently experiencing rapid progress. In supporting the government program and the demand for reparation and procurement of new ships in domestic production, readiness is required from the shipyard. However, the current condition of the shipyard is only able to meet 83% of the demand for new shipbuilding so that the shipyard still needs to be developed in order to improve its capabilities, so that it can meet the needs and be able to carry out its functions in accordance with the progress of shipping technology. In this study discusses the strategy of developing shipbuilding using qualitative descriptive methods and quantitative SWOT analysis. In this case study shipyard development strategy by increasing the ability of shipyards to meet the demands of ship building by increasing supporting facilities and accompanied by increasing the ability of human resources in the mastery of science and technology. The development and sustainability of Islamic Boarding School are strongly influenced by the regeneration of the leadership of kiai as a successor of the vision and mission, depending upon their disciplines. Regeneration of the leadership of kiai often occurs on the basis of lineage to maintain and respond the developmental and institutional dynamics in the boarding school. The research is intended to analyze and discover the leadership patterns of kiai, the shifting patterns of the leadership, and the impact of the shift towards the development of the institutions. This study is phenomenological. The data collection techniques employed were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis procedures were data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Tringualation was used to check the data validity, credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability.The findings of the research reveal the following results. Firstly, the pattern of the leadership of kiai is preserving and maintaining lineage or dzurriyyah (leader is born). The characteristics of the leadership of kiai are paternalistic, charismatic, pseudo-democratic, and transcendent-transformative. Secondly, the shifting patterns of the leadership of kiai are maintaining direct dzurriyah, direct and closest dzurriyyah, and indirect and closest dzurriyyah. The patterns are based on the following principles: a) capable to maintain knowledge and the characteristics of the boarding school, b) able to maintain the values of the ​​boarding schools and families (dzurriyyah), c) able to maintain the values ​​and patterns of leadership characteristics which are paternalistic, charismatic, pseudo-democratic, and transcendent-transformative, and d) finally, able to maintain the institutional characteristics of the boarding schools which are salafiyah, salafiyah-khalafiyah, and khalafiyah. Thirdly,  the impacts of the leadership shift of kiai are as follows. a) the leadership pattern is more open and accepts value changes. b) Diversity of institutional models occurs from salafiyah, salafiyah-khalafiyah, and khalafiyah. c) the models of institutional buildings are from wood and bamboo to modern buildings. d) the quality of human resources is in the forms of expertises religious knowledge and science. e) the management of santri is from traditional to classical management models, and f) the outputs or graduates involve in the works for the religious instution and community services in his environment.

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore religious development programs in boarding schools in Yogyakarta and to find out how the implementation of religious development programs, especially preventive counseling programs. Methodology: This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject were religion teachers, counseling teachers, the vice-principal of student affairs, homeroom teachers, students, and parents of the student. Main Findings: The results showed that there are two religious development programs at boarding schools in Yogyakarta. First, the development of faith and piety towards Allah by providing concepts in the form of a school lesson. Second, a program to teach religious morals values by internalizing religious values about morals. At the beginning of the study, these programs were designed by paying attention to many current teenage issues and anticipating their future. Applications of this study: This study can be useful in the field of educational psychology, especially in the personality section. The results of this study can be used by counselors at a school to overcome adolescent problems. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research showed that to make a student well behave in this digital age was not enough if only giving a theoretical study to them but also inviting them to do good things to their teacher. Furthermore, a stay program in the boarding school can be a consideration for parents to form a positive personality for their children.

Objective - The aim of paper is to investigate whether traditional management, is the Islamic boarding school has implemented the Islamic Corporate Governance Methodology/Technique - This research is a qualitative study using case study. Key Informant in this research is the General Secretary of Bahrul Ulum Foundation. The analysis technique used is the technique belong to Yin (2009) that divides three techniques for the analysis of case studies: the pairing pattern analysis techniques, the technique of making the explanation, the time series analysis technique. Findings - The findings indicate that in its implementation, corporate governance at Islamic boarding school based on the value of Tawhid. Furthermore, principle of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and fairness being the corporate governance principles at an Islamic boarding school. Research Implications: This study uses only one boarding school. Future studies are expected to examine more than one boarding school to obtain mixed results. Novelty - Based on the finding, the study suggests the ICG formulation will be found appropriate for every boarding school in Indonesia. Tasawuf or also called by Sufism is an integral part of Islamic religious knowledge which is particularly served in traditional even in modern conditions nowadays. A case study was done in this research in order to capture all of natural phenomenon happened in six different Islamic boarding schools in East Kalimantan particularly in Sabilarrasyad, Darul Ihsan, and An-Nur Islamic boarding schools in Samarinda, Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari Islamic boarding school in Balikpapan, and Darul Quran wa Tarbiyah and Al Hidayah Islamic boarding schools in Kutai Kartanegara. Specifically, direct observation, semi-structured interview, as well as document study were applied in this research in order to figure out the implementation of teaching and learning of Tasawuf particularly in terms of curriculum applied, materials and media used, methods and evaluation utilized at above Islamic boarding schools. As the result, the essentials of teaching and learning of Tasawuf is directed through hidden curriculum particularly inserted in Akhlak materials taught by the teachers or what so called by Asatidz and Asatidzah at all Islamic boarding schools investigated in this research. Additionally, traditional patterns of Islamic teaching and learning of Akhlak materials are applied i.e. Bandungan, Sorogan, and Wetonan as well as conventional learning steps including Tarjamah, Pendhabitan Harakat, Imlak, Mutholaah, and Memorizing methods. Small difference in terms of media used among those Islamic boarding schools does not lead to significant highlighted aspect since all of the Kitab used is contained about Akhlak or particularly regarding with how to build positive characters, behavior, and attitude of the students. Finally, future implication is also served and discussed in this research.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the business model of a successful social tourism business in Granada, Nicaragua. The study assesses how the business provides an avenue to combat the challenges that restrict certain stakeholders from participating in tourism. The case identifies specific mechanisms, such as investing in the local community’s education and favoring local vendors and merchants, as ways in which social tourism businesses can disseminate value among all stakeholders and create a more equitable form of tourism. Design/methodology/approach The case study method was chosen for collecting and analyzing data. Data include in-depth interviews with business founders, managers and employees, field observation notes, photographic documentation and additional written documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis. Findings The study found that the business was able to produce a high-quality tourism product that disseminated value among all stakeholders. The study also proved the value of the additional building blocks within the Business Model Canvas for Social Enterprise, and the clear distinction between “co-creators” and “beneficiaries.” Originality/value This study uses the Business Model Canvas for Social Enterprise, a model unverified since inception, to analyze a successful social tourism business. It confirms the usefulness of the additional building blocks within the model, and the additional delineations between “co-creators” and “beneficiaries.” Furthermore, the paper recommends these distinctions are extended to all blocks in the canvas, to illustrate the many ways a company can distribute value based on its business model.
