Hubungan Budaya Sekolah dan Komitmen Organisasi dengan Produktivitas Kerja Guru di SMP Negeri di Kota MataramAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara budaya sekolah, komitmen organisasi baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama dengan produktivitas kerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Mataram. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 88 orang ditentukan melalui teknik Stratifikcation random sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah budaya sekolah (X1) dan komitmen organisasi (X2), sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah produktivitas kerja guru (Y), Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen angket dengan skala Likert, selanjutnya untuk pengujian hipotesis digunakan teknik analisis regresi dan korelasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan yang ditunjukkan dengan persamaan regresi ? = 135,88 + 0,18X1 untuk variabel budaya sekolah, persamaan ? = 95,11 + 0,534X2 untuk variabel komitmen organisasi, dan persamaan ?= 76,82 + 0,170X1 + 0,530X2 untuk kedua variabel secara bersama-sama. Kekuatan hubungan variabel ditunjukkan oleh koefosien korelasi (r), untuk variabel budaya sekolah ry1 = 0,232 dengan kontribusi 5,4 %, untuk komitmen organisasi ry2= 0,562 dengan kontribusi 31,6 %, dan koefisien korelasi untuk kedua variabel Ry.12 = 0,603 dengan kontribusi 36,36 %. Berdasarkan hasil ini disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara budaya sekolah, komitmen organisasi, baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama dengan produktivitas kerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Mataram.Kata kunci : produktivitas kerja guru, budaya sekolah, komitmen organisasi.Relations Between the School Culture and the Organizational Commitment with the Labor Productivity Teachers in Junior High Schools in the City of MataramAbstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the school culture, the organizational commitment either individually or jointly with the Labor productivity teachers in junior high schools in the city of Mataram. The research sample as many as 88 people are determined through Stratifikcation random sampling techniques. The independent variable in this research is the school culture (X1) and the organizational commitment (X2), while the dependent variable is the labor productivity teachers (Y). Data were collected using questionaires with Likert scale, further to test the hypothesis used regression analysis and correlation techniques. The analysis showed that there is a positive and significant correlation shown by the regression equation ? = 135,88 + 0,18X1 for the school culture variables, equation ? = 95,11 + 0,534X2 for organizational commitment variables, and equations ?= 76,82 + 0,170X1 + 0,530X2 for both variables together. The strength of the relationship between the variables indicated by the correlation coefficient (r), for the school culture variable ry1 = 0,232 with contibution is 5,4 %, for organizational commitment ry2= 0,562 with contribution is 31,6 %,, and correlation coefficients for both variables Ry.12 = 0,603 with contribution is 36,36%. The purpose of this study was investigated the relationship between information education of energy attitude and energy instructional strategy of science and technology teacher in junior high schools in Taiwan. With the questionnaires and statistic analysis of 618 teachers, we found the energy attitude of teachers is positive and they made good use of energy instructional strategies. The energy safe attitude of teachers whose age are 41-50 years old were better than those below 28 years old and 29-33. The energy safe attitude of teachers who worked for 16-25 years were better than those below 5 years and 6-15 years. And the saving energy attitude of teachers who taught in school above 49 classes were better than those below 12 classes. At the same time we found the infusing question strategy and cognitive-oriented strategy of teachers whose age were 41-50 years old made better use of than those age were 29-33 years old. The energy attitude could forecast the using situation of energy instructional strategy especially in infusing question strategy, cognitive-oriented strategy and total energy instructional strategies.

This research aims (1) to indentify the level of teaching skill and working performance of Social Science (IPS) teachers at the Public Junior High Schools in the Regency of Hulu Sungai Utara, (2) to indentify the level of working motivation and working performance of IPS teachers at the Public Junior High Schools in the Regency of Hulu Sungai Utara, he method used in this research was descriptive quantitative method. The sample of this research was taken by using random sampling. The result of the research shows that (1) based on the respondents’ answers about teaching skill, approximately 64.45% of the respondents strongly agreed, while 31.10% of respondents agreed, 3.46% of respondents disagreed and 0.99% of respondents strongly disagreed. (2) based on the respondents’ answers about motivation, approximately 53.59% of respondents strongly agreed, while 41.62% of respondents agreed, 3.03% of respondents disagreed and 1.77% of respondents strongly disagreed. (3) based on the respondents’ answers about working performance, approximately 68.04% of respondents strongly agreed, while 26.83% of respondents agreed, 3.64% of respondents disagreed and 1.48% of respondents strongly disagreed. Teaching skill had a strong correlation with working performance of IPS teachers which can be identified from the value of ry1 = 0.832 in the interval of 0.80 – 1.000 with very strong criteria. Working motivation had a strong correlation with working performance of IPS teachers which can be seen from the value of ry2 = 0.768 in the interval of 0.60 – 0.779 with strong criteria. There was a positive and significant correlation between teaching skill and motivation together with the working performance of IPS teachers. The result of double correlation testing shows that the correlation value (R) was 0.850 with p = 0.000. Those three factors are related to each other in supporting working performance. The purpose of this research is to find out information about the effect of organizational culture, leader behaviors, job satisfaction, and justice on organizational commitment. In this study, school is considered as an organization. The study was carried out at Islamic Junior High Schools in the Mataram City, NTB. The data for this survey reseach were collected by using quesionnaires distributed to fifty-nine teachers as the samples. The data were analyzed statistically using path analysis.The results of the analyses shows that: (1) organizational culture has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment,  (2) leader behaviors have a positive direct effect on organizational commitment, (3) job satisfaction has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment, and (4) justice has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment.

The purpose of this research was to find out correlate between economical family background, parents attention and learning intencity with mathematics learning achievement of all junior high schools in Sedayu. This research was conducted in 3 junior high schools in Sedayu, the population was 460 students and the sample was 92 students using random sampling taking technique. Data collection technique using a questionnaire and a test technique. The result of minor hipotesis are Sig = 0,000<0,05; Sig = 0,032<0,05; and Sig = 0,010<0,05. Meanwhile the result of mayor hipotesis is Sig = 0,000 < 0,05. So, there are  positive correlate and significant between economical family background, parents attention and learning intencity with mathematics learning achievement as collective and partial. It is expected that students, parents and teachers care about economical family background, parents attention and learning intencity to mathematics learning achievement increasingly.

Abstrak: Salah satu tujuan pembelajaran IPA di SMP/Mts adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan, konsep, dan keterampilan IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguasaan konsep dan miskonsepsi biologi pada siswa SMP Se-Kota Sumbawa Besar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Se-Kota Sumbawa Besar tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian dipilih berdasarkan lokasi sekolah yaitu SMP pusat kota, SMP di pinggiran kota, dan SMP di luar yang ditentukan dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa pengembangan tes pilihan ganda dengan teknik modifikasi Certainty of Response Index. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) penguasaan konsep biologi pada siswa SMP di pusat kota tergolong tinggi, penguasaan konsep biologi pada siswa SMP di pinggiran kota tergolong sedang, dan penguasaan konsep biologi pada siswa SMP di luar kota tergolong rendah;(2) miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa SMP di pusat Kota, SMP di pinggiran kota, dan SMP di luar kota termasuk dalam kategori sedang; (3) miskonsepsi materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup tergolong tinggi,, miskonsepsi materi keanekaragaman makhluk hidup tergolong sedang dan miskonsepsi materi tingkat organisasi kehidupan tergolong sedang; (4) retensi penguasaan konsep selama dua minggu pada SMP di pusat kota meningkat sebesar 5,70%, retensi penguasaan konsep siswa pada SMP di pinggiran kota meningkat sebesar 11,69%, dan retensi penguasaan konsep siswa pada SMP di luar kota  meningkat sebesar 5,75%. Perbedaan tingkat penguasaan konsep biologi dari ketiga kelompok sampel kemungkinan disebabkan karena perbedaan minat belajar siswa. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi biologi pada siswa SMP se-kota Sumbawa Besar adalah kurangnya kemampuan dalam mengolah informasi dan rendahnya tingkat penalaran. Miskonsepsi pada materi ciri-ciri mahluk hidup tergolong tinggi disebabkan siswa hanya mampu menyebutkan dan memberi contoh, tanpa mampu menjelaskan konsep ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Perbedaan retensi penguasaan konsep siswa pada ketiga kelompok sampel dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor kelupaan pada siswa. Retensi dapat ditingkatkan dengan penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif dan pembelajaran bermakna.Kata kunci: penguasaan konsep, miskonsepsi, teknik modifikasi CRIAbstract: One of the objectives science in secondary school is to improve the student’s knowledge, attainment concept, and process skills science. This descriptive research is aimed to analyze the understanding concept and misconception of Biology in the Junior high school’s students at Sumbawa Besar City. The kind of this research is descriptive. The population consist of 1197 students of eight grade in six Junior High School at Sumbawa Besar City in academic year of 2013/2014. The sample of this research was selected based on school location consist of junior high school in central town, suburban, and rural area of Sumbawa Besar City which were determined by Cluster Random Sampling. The research’s instrument is developing multiple-choice test with modification technique of CRI. The results of this research shows : (1) understanding concepts of biology in junior high schools’ students in central town is classified as high, while that students in suburban is classified as moderate, and students in rural area of Sumbawa Besar City is classified as low; (2) misconceptions that occur in material  about characteristic of living thing, diversity of living thing, and levels of live organization at junior high schools’ students in central town, suburban and rural area of Sumbawa Besar City are classified as moderate; (3) misconceptions occur in characteristic of living things material classified as high, misconceptions occur in of living things materials and levels of life organization  are classified as moderate; (4) retentions of  understanding concept during two weeks of the junior high school’s student in central town is increase by 5.50 % ,while that of student in suburban is increase by 11.38 % , and student in rural area of Sumbawa Besar City is increase by 5.55 % . Difference in the level of attainment concepts of the three sample groups is probably due to difference interest in learning of student. One of the causes of biological misconceptions on junior high school students at Sumbawa Besar city  is the lack of ability to process information and low level of reasoning. Misconceptions on the material characteristics of living thing is high because students were only able to mention and give examples, without being able to explain the concept of the characteristics of living thing. Differences in students' attainment concepts retention in l three groups of samples can be affected by factors on student forgetfulness. Retention can be enhanced with the use of active learning strategies and meaningful learning.Keywords : understanding concepts, misconceptions, technique of modified CRI

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh: 1) kompetensi guru, 2) komitmen kerja guru, 3) motivasi kerja, dan 4) kompetensi guru, komitmen kerja, motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMP-SMP negeri andalan di Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru di SMP negeri andalan se Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013, meliputi guru-guru di SMPN 1 Godean, SMPN 1 Sleman, SMPN 3 Sleman, SMPN 4 Pakem, SMPN 4 Depok, SMPN 1 Depok, dan SMPN 1 Kalasan sebanyak 262 guru. Sampel sebesar 150 orang ditentukan menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif (b1= 0,380) dan signifikan (p=0,000) terhadap kinerja guru; 2) motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif (b3= 0,262) dan signifikan (p=0,000) terhadap kinerja guru; 3) komitmen kerja berpengaruh positif (b2= 0,325) dan signifikan (p=0,000) terhadap kinerja guru; dan 4) kompetensi guru, komitmen kerja dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru di SMP-SMP negeri andalan di Kabupaten Sleman.Kata kunci: kompetensi guru, komitmen kerja, motivasi kerja, kinerja guruTHE EFFECTS OF COMPETENCE, WORK COMMITMENTS, AND MOTIVATION IN THE WORKPLACE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE TEACHERS OF RELIABLE JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS (SMP) IN SLEMAN DISTRICTAbstractThis study aims to reveal the effects of:1) teacher’s competence, 2) teacher’s commitment, 3) motivation to work, and 4) teachers’ competence, commitment to work, and motivation to work on the performance of teachers of reliable state junior high schools in Sleman District. This study is correlational research. The population in this study was all of the teachers of reliable state SMP’s in Sleman District in the academic year of 2012/2013, including teachers of SMPN 1 Godean, SMPN 1 Sleman, SMPN 3 Sleman, SMPN 4 Pakem, SMPN 4 Depok, SMPN 1 Depok and SMPN 1 Kalasan, totaling 262 teachers. A sample of 150 people was established using the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using regression analysis techniques. The results show that: 1) teachers’ competence has a positive and significant effect (b1 = 0.380) and (p = 0.000) on teachers’ performance; 2) work motivation has a positive and significant effect (b3 = 0.262) and (p = 0.000) on teachers’ performance, 3) commitment to work has a positive and significant effect (b2 = 0.325) (p = 0.000) on the teachers’ performance; and 4) teachers’ competence, commitment to work, and motivation to work have an effect on the performance of the teachers of reliable state junior high schools in Sleman District.Keywords: teacher competence, work commitments, work motivation, teacher performance

This study aims to develop a pattern of planning for educational facilities in the education management system in Jambi Province based on the projection of population growth in Jambi Province in 2023. The method used in this study is the quantitative method. The data collection method was carried out by literature study, and secondary data study from the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi Province. The results showed that the projected population growth in 2023 experienced different trends in each district and city. Population growth projections provide a real picture of school needs for junior high school & senior high school. This trend indicates a strong direction of management functionalization in planning aspects for local governments to meet the needs of educational facilities junior high school & senior high school which are relatively balanced with the population. Analysis of the results of the calculation of the number of school availability with the population in each region is relatively less balanced. This happens because one of the main factors, namely planning for school needs, is not based on information and projected data for calculating population growth in the area. The results showed that the areas that did not need to add junior high schools until 2023 were Kerinci, Merangin, Sarolangun, Batanghari, Muaro Jambi, East Tanjung Jabung, West Tanjung Jabung, Tebo, Bungo districts. On the other hand, the areas that require an additional number of junior high schools are the City of Jambi as many as 32 and the City of Sungai Penuh with 3 schools. For the senior high school, all districts in Jambi Province require additional schools. Therefore, it is suggested to the Government and Regional Governments to develop plans based on population growth projections so that there is an even distribution of educational facilities so that inequality between regions can be minimized..Key words: population growth projections, educational facilities, management, planning
