It was starting from the author's interest in mothers who are both urban women and put forward the concept of health literacy about care, healing, and health conditions of their children, if their children experience illness. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of health communication that occurs in whatsapp group "Tentang Anak"; the topic of conversation conducted in whatsapp group "Tentang Anak"; and communication barriers that occur during the health communication process. This study uses a qualitative approach with virtual ethnographic methods. The results of the study showed that the ongoing health communication process included the search by the mother for the health information about their children in whatsapp group "Tentang Anak". The topic of discussion is about information of healthy lifestyles for children, child development, child care, and child healing techniques when experiencing any pain. The communication barriers in the health communication process are personal obstacles, educational barriers, and time constraints.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan fungsi manajemen pada Masjid Al-Anshari dalam meningkatkan Jama’ah Shalat Shubuh dan Shalat Jum’at. Secara lebih rinci tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengetahui proses perencanaan, proses pengorganisasian, proses penggerakan dan proses pengendalian di Masjid Al-Anshari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dipandang tepat untuk digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yakni dengan cara observasi, wawancara, rekaman audio dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Masjid Al-Anshari di dalam meningkatkan jama’ah Shalat Shubuh dan Shalat Jum’at memiliki proses perencanaan berupa penyusunan unsur tujuan, unsur kebijakan, unsur kemajuan, dan unsur program. Proses pengorganisasian yang dilakukan dengan pembagian kerja melalui struktur organisasi, departementalisasi dengan deksripsi kerjanya, distribusi otoritas, dan koordinasi yang dilakukan setiap Briefing di Coffee Break. Proses penggerakan dilakukan melalui proses motivasi, proses kepemimpinan dan proses komunikasi. Proses pengendalian dilakukan dengan memperbaiki penyimpangan-penyimpangan yang ada.   This study aims to determine the application of management functions in the Al-Ansari Mosque in improving Jama'ah Shubuh Prayer and Friday Prayers. In more detail, the purpose of this research is to find out the planning process, the organizing process, the mobilization process and the control process at Al-Ansari Mosque.  This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, considered appropriate for use in this study. The data collection method is by observation, interview, audio recording and documentation study.  The results of this study indicate that the Al-Ansari Mosque in improving the congregation of the Shubuh Prayers and Friday Prayers has a planning process in the form of compilation of objectives, policy elements, progress elements, and program elements. The organizing process is carried out with the division of labor through the organizational structure, departmentalization with its work description, distribution of authority, and coordination that is carried out every Briefing at Coffee Break. The mobilization process is carried out through a motivational process, a leadership process and a communication process. The control process is carried out by correcting the existing deviations.

Person-centered care has led healthcare professionals (HCPs) to be more attentive to patients’ ability to understand and apply health-related information, especially those with chronic conditions. The concept of health literacy (HL) is essential in understanding patients’ needs in routine care, but its measurement is still controversial, and few tools are validated in French. We therefore considered the brief health literacy screen (BHLS) for assessing patient-reported HL in chronic care settings, and also developed an HCP-reported version of the BHLS with the aim of using it as a research instrument to assess HCPs’ evaluation of patients’ HL levels. We assessed the content validity of the French translation of both the patient-reported and HCP-reported BHLS in chronic care within hospital settings, through cognitive interviews with patients and HCPs. We performed qualitative analysis on interview data using the survey response Tourangeau model. Our results show that the BHLS is easy and quick to administer, but some terms need to be adapted to the French chronic care settings. Health-related information was observed to be mainly communicated orally, hence a useful direction for future literacy measures would be to also address verbal HL.

As the healthcare system evolves, it is becoming more complicated for physicians and patients. Patients might have had one doctor in the past, but now are likely to regularly see several specialists along with their primary care physician. Patients can access their health records online, which increases transparency and accountability, but adds more information they have to interpret. This is the concept of health literacy—the ability to obtain, process, and act upon information regarding one’s health. This article will characterize health literacy in primary care and provide three areas that primary care physicians and researchers can direct their focus in order to increase health literacy among patients: community engagement, trainee education, and examination of personal bias.

Books have long been recognized  resources for health literacy and healing (Fosson & Husband, 1984). Individuals with health conditions or disabilities or who are dealing with illness, disability or death among friends or loved ones, can find solace and affirmation in fictional works that depict characters coping with similar health conditions. This study asked the question “If we were to select a new collection of children’s health-related fiction in mid-2014, which books would we select and what selection criteria would we apply?”  The results of this study are a set of criteria for the selection of  current English language literary works with health-related content for the pre-kindergarten to Grade 6 (age 12) audience http://hdl.handle.net/10402/era.38842, a collection of books that are readily available to Canadian libraries - selected against these criteria http://hdl.handle.net/10402/era.38843, a special issue of the Deakin Review of Children’s Literature -  dedicated to juvenile health fiction, and book exhibits in two libraries to accompany the Deakin Review issue.

This study aims to find out an overview of how the mathematics learning process on lines and angles in class VII SMP YPK 2 Manokwari, the level of teacher readiness, and to obtain an overview of the implementation of student-centered learning through the contextual learning model that takes place at SMP YPK 2. Manokwari on lines and angles. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that (1) The learning process of mathematics at SMP YPK 2, especially in the material of lines and angles, has gone well in accordance with the learning plan that has been made and in accordance with the learning steps, namely introduction, core activities, closing, and evaluation (2 ) The readiness of the teacher in preparing for learning is good (3) The implementation of learning that is centered on students through the contextual learning model has not been fully carried out due to time constraints and differences in the abilities of each student which are not the same as the lack of existing facilities and infrastructure

Hypertension (HTN) is a major risk factor for the development of heart disease, which is the number one cause of death in the United States (U.S.). The Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) led to a significant increase in emergency department (ED) visits: up to 20 [percent] of visits are considered as avoidable. Many patients present to EDs with uncontrolled chronic health conditions, such as HTN, which can be successfully managed in the outpatient setting. Factors contributing to the large volume of patients that present to the ED with uncontrolled HTN has been understudied. This cross-sectional study examined relationships between selected demographic and health variables, medication adherence, health literacy and social support network among adults (n=50) with HTN that presented to the ED. Participants were predominantly male (56 [percent]), 41-60 years old (46 [percent]), and Caucasian (60 [percent]). Only 36 [percent] of participants were adherent to their HTN medications, 42 [percent] had adequate health literacy, and 38 [percent] perceived high levels of social support. The variable with the strongest correlation to medication adherence was last primary care provider (PCP) visit (-0.473, p [less than] 0.001). However only 54 [percent] of participants had seen a PCP over the last 6 months. Increasing PCP visits and reducing avoidable ED visits has the potential to improve chronic disease health outcomes and reduce health care costs. This study has provided evidence that it is both acceptable and feasible to perform research in the ED setting that addresses chronic health conditions, such as HTN. Findings from this study may be used to inform novel ED interventions that can help adults to better manage their chronic health conditions, such as HTN, outside of the acute care setting.

The purpose of this study is to describe verbal and nonverbal communication styles as well as obstacles in the communication process carried out by SPG. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are passive participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were determined using a purposive technique. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the communication style used by SPGs is more dominated by nonverbal communication such as showing friendly facial expressions, eye contact with consumers, ideal body posture, matching clothes and make-up, managing physical closeness with consumers, and using time as good as possible. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan gaya komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal serta hambatan-hambatan dalam proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh seorang SPG. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipan pasif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Cara penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive. Dalam menganalisis data peneliti melalui beberapa tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh para SPG lebih didominasi oleh komunikasi nonverbal seperti menunjukkan ekspresi wajah yang ramah, kontak mata dengan konsumen, postur tubuh yang ideal, pakaian dan riasan yang senada, mengatur kedekatan fisik dengan konsumen, dan penggunaan waktu sebaik mungkin.
