This research is intended to study the implementation of communication ethics in building social harmony at Banjar (Balinese community) Dharma Santhi, Labuapi Subdistrict, West Lombok Regency. This research is designed in the form of descriptive qualitative research by using case study model on social phenomenon of religion in that location. With regard to it in order to realize a harmonious religious social life one of the supporting factors is the ethics that needs to be applied in communicating, both interpersonal communication and group communication in activities related to the implementation of Hinduism. The implementation of communication ethics used as the basis of religious social life in Banjar Dharma Santhi relates to the application of the teaching of tri kaya parisudha (three things to be sanctified), especially the aspect of wacika parisudha (talking good and true). Application of communication ethics based on the teachings of Hinduism can realize a good communication, especially related to the implementation of religious life conducted by the people who are in Banjar Dharma Santhi. Communication in accordance with the teachings of wicika parisudha implemented by Hindus in the location can realize social relationships with fellow Hindus in religious ritual activities. The application of wacika parisudha teachings can also be a basis for communicating with the general public to realize harmony in religious social life.

This study was conducted to observe the socio-economical status, living standard and health management practices of the people of the Bede community of Bangladesh. Bedes living in the Savar area of Dhaka district was selected for a case study. To conduct the study, data were obtained through a questionnairebased survey of 700 respondents about their social and economical status, professional practices, standard of living and literacy status, health management and treatment methods used. It has been observed that these mostly nomadic people of the Bede community have a weak socio-economic condition, large family size {(9-16 member family (58.22%); 17-24 member family (22.20%)}, intense smoking habit and a low level of literacy (80.00% people are illiterate). They practice ethno-medicine and snake-charming as their main professional business to earn a living. In offering health care services to people, they use medicaments prepared from various plant and animal parts and minerals and apply various ethno-treatment techniques, like spiritual, physical, mystical and psychological techniques to treat various ailments. Although they practice their age-old traditional system of medicine as their profession to treat others, they have been found to depend largely on Allopathic, Homeopathic and modern Traditional medicines for treating their own illness, particularly when they suffer from  diarrhoea, dysentery, small pox, orthopedic problems, and even snake-bite, which is supposed to be their own specialty. Gender analyses have provided useful insights into the social organization of the people anthropologists study. Here we demonstrate how Casas Grandes gender roles influenced other aspects of Casas Grandes worldview and social life. Medio period (A.D. 1200–1450) iconography depicts differences between males and females. Gender roles were not only defined by their proximity to males and females but to birds and serpents. Furthermore, Casas Grandes cosmology was based on gender complementarity that combined the productive, reproductive, and ritual activities of men and women within a single system. The development of social differentiation was tied to this system, indicating that gender complementarity and the accumulation of productive and ritual power into a limited group of women and men may have been an important factor in the development of social hierarchies in many Middle Range societies.

Among this sides is the relationship with others which flow out from Andalus Al-Khawf poem trends, such as Ibn. Khātimah injunctions and poetry wisdom. It draws out from its dual opposite relationships the following relationship that comprise highest and lowest, good and misdeed, speaking and silence, migration and residence, to exhibit human minds in front of other with a straight illustration. I will present in this work the most important good human behavior value that exist in dual opposite controversial relationship that guide Ibn. Khātimah in a side, and his strong desire to disseminate and plant it in mind of the people of his time in other side, towards power of reader on the text.Keywords: Fear- Relationship with Other- Conjunctions of Wisdom- Behavior Value- Opposite.AbstrakKajian ini memaparkan kecenderungan Ibn Khātimah Al–Anṣāriy Al-Andalusiy dalam menjadikan tema pendidikan jiwa serta nilai-nilai perilaku yang terpuji dalam hasil karangannya. Puisi di zaman Andalus adalah satu wadah yang luas yang mampu mencerap nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang terpancar dari pelbagai aspek kehidupan Andalusia. Di antaranya ialah aspek hubungan dengan pihak lain yang timbul daripada halatuju yang menggariskan perjalanan puisi yang bertemakan perasaan takut di Andalus seperti yang di dapati dalam kumpulan wasiat Ibn Khatimah dan juga kata hikmah berpuitis beliau. Hubungan kontra dua hala yang turut merangkumi hubungan di antara pihak atasan dan bawahan, kebaikan dan kekejaman, luahan dan berdiam diri, duduk dan berkelana; menjadikan jiwa manusia terlukis dengan satu bentuk yang sama di mata pihak yang lain. Melalui kupasan ini, nilai perilaku terpenting yang tersirat dalam bentuk hubungan kontras dua hala tersebut yang mencorakkan hasil kerja Ibn Khatimah yang amat komited untuk melihatnya tersebar dan tertanam di kalangan pembacanya dengan autoriti mereka; akan diketengahkan.Kata kunci: Takut– Hubungan dengan yang Lain– Wasiat dan Kata Hikmah– Nilai-Nilai Perilaku– Kontras.

<p><em> The ceremony of Penabeng Desa at Sasih Kaenem which is held every year exactly falls on Tilem sasih Kaenem day. The ceremony of Penabeng Desa at Sasih Kaenem is done by making a barrier fence in every border of Desa Pakraman Batuyang, aiming to maintain the natural balance of both the great bhuana and bhuana alit. The problems discussed in this research are (1) How is the existence of Penabeng Tradition? (2) How is communication semiotics in Penabeng Tradition? (3) How is the impact of communication semiotics in Penabeng Tradition in Pakraman Village Batuyang District Sukawati Gianyar?.</em></p><p><em>This research found among others: The existence of Penabeng tradition in Pakraman Batuyang Village, held every morning every year precisely Tilem Sasih kaenem, all the people of Desa Pakraman Batuyang make a guardrail fence in every border of Pakraman Village Batuyang. The means used include pandandui, sungga, centipedes, and turushidup. Semiotics Communication in the tradition of Penabeng in the village of Pakraman Batuyang there are some namely, the process of intrapersonal communication, the process of interpersonal communication and non-verbal communication on the procession of the tradition of Penabengdi Desa Pakraman Batuyang. Impact contained from Communication Semiotics in Penabeng tradition in Pakraman Village Batuyang namely:</em><em> </em><em>Religious Impact affects people's beliefs and culprits, Social impacts affect society's social life and Conservation Impact Culture affect the existence and development of community life.</em><strong></strong></p>

The aim of the article is to give a sociological description and analysis toward the civic engagement of Taniwel Timur in building social harmony between Muslims and Christians, pre and post-conflict in Maluku. There are two main important points which are, the history of Muslims-Christians’ engagement in building a relationship and social interaction, and Muslims-Christians’ engagement becomes the basic in building harmonious social relationships. This research employed a qualitative research method through a structured interview technique with key informants, observation, and library study. The result of the research found that; first, the Muslims-Christians engagement divided into two which are the association form of civic engagement such as religious institutions, custom and government and everyday form of civic engagement consist of such simple, routine interactions of life as Christians and Muslims family visiting each other, eating together often enough, jointly participating in festivals and allowing their children to play together. Second, the Muslims-Christians’ engagement was based on strong brotherhood, cooperation with many parties, strong traditions and mutual trust. Association form and everyday form of civic engagement had the same position to build a strong social system. It also created a sphere of solidarity, justice, and fraternity. In conclusion, Taniwel Timur's society can construct a harmonious social life.

This study explored communications between the people involved in the design of home adaptations, including clients and carers, occupational therapists, surveyors and builders. The aims were to explore (i) what constituted good communication in this context and (ii) how communication occurred. One London borough was selected as a case study. All participants lived or worked within the borough and had been involved in the adaptation process. Nineteen individual semi-structured interviews were conducted with six clients, four occupational therapists, six grant surveyors and three builders. The findings suggest that the professionals constituted a ‘community of practice’ (Wenger 1998) within which communication was good. The professionals used plan drawings to support communication between them. However, the study found that client involvement in the design was limited and that plan drawings were not effective tools in communication with them. The clients relied on the occupational therapist to represent their interests in the design process. Occupational therapists' communication with clients on the design of adaptations may be enhanced by the development and use of more sophisticated visualisation tools to replace the plan drawings. This would enable clients to become more engaged in the adaptations process.

The purpose of this study is to capture the phenomenon of communications that happened in the context of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for Indonesian people; encompassing interpersonal communication, group communication and mass communication. The research method used was Schutz’s phenomenology which is based on the search of the meaning of the behavior (action). Tracking data is conducted through direct and indirect observation at two Traditional Chinese Medicine clinics in Beijing and Jakarta. Informants consisted of the therapists (TCM physicians), patients and the government in the health field. In this study, the actions are the behavior of the actors constructed in TCM, which is measured through therapists and the actions of TCM patients in Beijing and Jakarta. The results shows that appropriate communication, supported by accurate evidence will facilitate and perpetuate the acceptance of TCM for Indonesians to go to Beijing or Jakarta. Bombardment of mass communication of TCM has increased the awareness for the presence of TCM in Jakarta, but also became a boomerang for TCM image overall.

<p>In an effort to maintain harmony between religions, the people of Adat Piling Village have formed an organization called the Joy and Grief Society, whose members consist of Hindus and Christians in the Indigenous Village of Piling.<br />Based on this background there are several issues raised, namely: 1) How do the communication strategies of the Community Grieving Society in realizing the tolerance of Hindus and Christians in the Adat Piling Village Penebel District of Tabanan Regency? in realizing tolerance between Hindus and Christians in Adat Piling Village Penebel District Tabanan Regency? 3) What is the impact of the implementation of the communication strategy of the Grieving Society and Residents towards Hindus and Christians in the Adat Piling Village Penebel District Tabanan Regency.<br />The results of the analysis obtained from this study are: 1) Communication strategies of Organizational Joy and Grief Residents in realizing tolerance between Hindus and Christians in the Indigenous Village of Piling using five types of communication, namely: a) verbal communication, b) non verbal communication, c) interpersonal communication, d) persuasive communication, and e) group communication. 2) The obstacles that exist in the implementation of the communication strategies of the People's Sorrowful Organizations are in the form of physical barriers, differences in mindset, social factors. 3) The impact arising from the implementation of communication strategies of the Community Grieving Society on Hindus and Christians in the Piling Traditional Village includes cognitive impacts, affective impacts, behavioral impacts, and social impacts.</p>

The purpose of this research is to discover, characterize, and analyze the social life patterns of the Ibanags in Nassiping, Gattaran,  Cagayan. The descriptive case study approach was utilized, which included current information regarding the nature or status of this cultural group, as well as other phenomena. 100 clients were chosen from conception until death or burial based on their understanding of facts and information about Ibanag beliefs, traditions, and rites. The participant-observer technique, in which the researcher participated in the practices, rituals, and other ceremonies while simultaneously observing and seeing them, necessitated her staying among the people for several months. The researcher also studied reference materials or documents, as well as other demographic data on the community and its population. Farming and fishing are the most common jobs, however, some of them also work in carpentry and have their businesses. The Ibanag people have traditional beliefs and habits that are at variance with what teachers teach in schools from conception to death. On the other side, the problem of value conflicts can be solved by shifting unfavorable ideas and practices to more favorable ones, which can be attributed to people's education and willingness to change

Waqf has an important role in improving social life, economy, welfare, education, and creating zero hunger as stated in the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. However, many Muslims still do not know the definition and function of waqf. Even though Indonesia is known as Muslim Country Population (WCP), it still has constraints in the economy and welfare of its population. University of Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor in collaboration with the Central Bank of Indonesia establish International Center of Awqaf Studies (ICAST) as a place of creating successor on waqf specialization through various programs that expected to enhance waqf understanding and formulate the experimental cases of waqf in Gontor Indonesia that existed since 1958 till now. This research aims to disseminate waqf to the people of Indonesia until waqf accepted and implemented easily. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with a case study in the ICAST. The conclusion of this research is ICAST disseminating waqf understanding to many levels of society through several programs, such as the establishment of master in waqf economics, research and publications, nazir waqf certification, seminars, and workshops
