This study concerns on how reading text materials are developed for vocational school. This study was conducted by using developmental research. The subject of this research was class XII SMK Sandhy Putra 2 Medan consisting of 36 students. Instrumentations for collecting data were questionnaire and interview. After analyzing the data, the writer got the students’ need in learning English in term of vocation that they have. Based on the students’ need analysis, then it was got some basic competences which need to be reached by the students, and based on the basic competences, syllabus can be designed. After syllabus had been designed, developing teaching materials was done. The developed teaching materials were related to the vocation that the students had; it was culinary art. The development of materials followed four stages; those were pre-development/ planning, development, evaluation, and revision.

Teaching materials by integrating local culture makes easier for students to understand the subject matter in the learning process. The aims of the study is to measure the effectiveness of teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai in improving the students problem solving abilities. The research method was a quasi experimental which use non equivalent control group in the pretest posttest design. The sample of study were students of Senior High School grade X in Binjai that consisted of experiment group which used teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai and control group that used student handbooks. Teaching materials are tested by material experts and technology experts to ensure the quality of teaching materials. Data collection was conducted through test. The results showed that the teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai effective in improving students problem solving abilities in the experimental group students based on the results of N gain value was 0.67 which has medium criteria. It means teaching materials based on agricultural local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning activities.

It has been determined that the drawings, photographs and pictures related to the subject of the continuity of the tangent function on page 68 of the Ministry of National Education’s twelfth-grade mathematics textbook contradict principles 1, 7 and 10 of Yanpar’s (2007) teaching material development principles. According to these principles, teaching materials should: i) be simple, plain, and understandable, ii) reflect real life as much as possible, and iii) be easy to develop or revise, if necessary. This study aims to develop a portable tangent bridge model to meet the needs of the subject of the continuity of the tangent function. With this aim: i) teaching with the analogies model in the design of the teaching material, ii) “this is my project” format in the development and iii) Yanpar’s (2007) principles were considered. The design of the model lasted 14 weeks. At the end of the study, a portable tangent bridge model from waste products was designed and developed. This model is thought to contribute to the teaching effectiveness of teachers (Shulman, 1987) with content knowledge alongside with pedagogical knowledge (Shulman, 1986). With this contribution, the needs of the subject as described by Taba (1962) and Tyler (1949) will be met. This model will also serve as an example of meeting the needs of the subjects of knowledge and its product, technology, as highlighted by Cahit Arf (Terzioglu &Yilmaz, 2006).

Abstract Developing Student Worksheet is one of the competences that must be mastered by Physics Education Student of FMIPA Universitas Negeri Jakarta. An integrated lecture tool has been developed to train students' writing competencies in the Physics Worksheet. This development research applies the ASSURE model. Lecture devices have been tested against physics education students. Students give very good appreciation to the lecture, by giving average score equal to 83.97. Students' performance in preparing the Student Worksheet physics subjects is also very good, which is shown by the average of student performance compiled the Subject Student Worksheet 84.52. Based on the results of testing the use of educational tools to students of education students FMIPA Universitas Negeri Jakarta showed that the lecture tools are worthy to be used as teaching materials. Keywords: Integrated lecturing tools, KPS, Student Worksheet. Abstrak Mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dikuasai oleh Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNJ. Telah dikembangkan perangkat perkuliahan terpadu untuk melatih kompetensi mahasiswa menulis Lembar Kerja Siswa mata pelajaran fisika. Penelitian pengembangan ini menerapkan model ASSURE. Perangkat perkuliahan sudah diujicoba terhadap mahasiswa pendidikan fisika. Mahasiswa memberikan apresiasi sangat baik terhadap perangkat perkuliahan, dengan memberikan skor rerata sebesar 83,97. Kinerja mahasiswa menyusun Lembar Kerja Siswa mata pelajaran fisika juga sangat baik, yang ditunjukan oleh rerata nilai kinerja mahasiswa menyusun Lembar Kerja Siswa mata pelajaran  sebesar 84,52. Berdasarkan hasil ujicoba penggunaan perangkat pekuliahan terhadap mahasiswa pendidikan mahasiswa FMIPA UNJ menunjukan bahwa perangkat perkuliahan terpadu layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Kata-kata Kunci: Perangkat Perkuliahan Terpadu, KPS, Lembar Kerja Siswa.

The main purpose of this research is to develop the teaching materials of five senses based on multiple intelligences which are valid, and to know the level of effectiveness of the materials teaching the five senses, a multiple intelligences to the observation of students ' activities and the study results test. This research uses research methods Research & Development (R&D). To develop the product, researchers use ADDIE's model of development consisting of five phases: 1. Analysis, 2. Design, 3. Development, 4. Implementation, and 5. Evaluation. The teaching materials are developed in the form of a multiple intelligences-based five senses module which is the subject of a trial is 20 students. The technique of data collection in this study is the students ' intelligences test, validation sheet, observation sheets, student activities, and student study results tests. The data analysis technique used by researchers to test the valid is analyzed quantitatively and to test its effectiveness will be in quantitative analysis. The main problem in this research is to find out the design of valid teaching materials and the practicality of teaching materials. This research is a Research & Development (R&D) research method. To develop the product, this research uses a 4-D development model consisting of four stages, namely: (1) the defined phase, (2) the design phase, (3) the development phase, and (4) the disseminate stage. This research was conducted in class V of SD Negeri 1 Lalebbata Palopo, which acted as the subject of the study was the fifth-grade students totaling 25 people. Data collection techniques in this study are: observation, documentation, Questionnaire, and Validation. Analysis of the data used by the researcher was to test its validity by using the Aiken's formula and for analyzing student questionnaire response data and observations using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the integrated religious neuroscience-based teaching material is said to be valid by three validators with several revisions so that it can be said to be valid and can be tested, then this teaching material can be said to be interesting because the results from the questionnaire responses of 20 students tend to agree with teaching material developed. Thus this research needs to be socialized so that it can become a consideration of teachers in schools in improving students' writing skills.

This study aims to develop accounting teaching materials and to see the feasibility of teaching materials in improving the quality of classroom learning on the subject matter of the accounting cycle of service companies. This research is a development research adapted from the ADDIE model. There are 5 stages, namely: 1. Analysis (Analysis), 2. Design (Design), 3. Development (Development), 4. Implementation (Implementation), 5. Evaluation (Evaluation). Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts and assessments from class X accounting students of Ar-Rahman Medan Private Vocational School. Based on the assessment of material 1 on the feasibility of teaching materials for accounting books, the average score is 3.87 with the "Eligible" category, and the material expert orders 2 obtained an average score of 4.20 in the "Eligible" category, an indication of media experts is obtained on average. amounting to 4.00 in the "Eligible" category. Students' assumptions about accounting book teaching materials show an average of 4.45 with the category "Very Appropriate". Thus, the teaching material for the Accounting Service Company Cycle book is declared "Feasible" to be used as an accounting learning medium in improving the quality of learning.

This research aims is to find and describe students' needs for ESP and find out students' perceptions of ESP teaching that has been running. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research was the first semester students of Informatics Engineering of STMIK STIKOM Indonesia. The data collection was done using online questionnaire on google form application. The data obtained were then classified so that the needs of Informatics Engineering students on English learning can be identified and then be described. The results of this research can be used as a reference for subsequent research, namely syllabus planning and the development of teaching materials of ESP. Referring to students awareness of the importance of speaking skill and the also the need of having grammar lessons as basis for their practical competence, it is a task for ESP lecturer to apply teaching strategies which are interesting, motivating and engaging to cover both areas in equal portion.

The history of Indonesian Chinese society is still rarely studied in history learning at school. One of them concerns the discriminatory treatment of them during the New Order era. This article aimed to describe discriminatory policies against ethnic Chinese during the New Order era, to present it as a history teaching materials, and to elaborate on the importance of studying it for the younger people. This research used historical and qualitative descriptive method using literature. The result showed that (1) Ethnic Chinese in the New Order era received discriminatory treatment in various sectors. It was a violation of human rights and susceptible to trigger conflict. (2) The study of the Chinese people can be served as a history teaching material in the subject of the New Order era. (3) Teaching materials development is expected to be used to create awareness of multiculturalism through history teaching.Sejarah masyarakat Tionghoa Indonesia masih jarang dikaji dalam pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah. Salah satunya mengenai perlakuan diskriminatif terhadap mereka pada masa Orde Baru. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebijakan diskriminatif terhadap etnis Tionghoa selama Orde Baru, menyajikannya sebagai bahan ajar sejarah, dan menguraikan arti penting mempelajarinya bagi generasi muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis dan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Etnis Tionghoa pada masa Orde Baru menerima perlakuan diskriminatif di berbagai sektor. Hal itu merupakan pelanggaran atas hak asasi manusia dan terbukti rentan konflik. (2) Studi tentang dinamika masyarakat Tionghoa tersebut dapat disajikan sebagai bahan ajar sejarah pada pokok bahasan masa Orde Baru. (3) Kajian tersebut diharapkan dapat menciptakan kesadaran multikulturalisme melalui pembelajaran sejarah.
