Background – Every prospective student is free to make their choice to choose the faculty and study program they are interested in, which of course is in accordance with their abilities academically and financially. This research was conducted based on the research gap found by the researcher. Baker (2018) suggests further research to analyze the expected job variables as a factor in choosing decisions. Objective - To analyze the direct and indirect effect between each variable Interest, motivation, and expected job on the decision to choose. Design/ Methodology/ Approach – This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were new students in the 2020 academic year at the Faculty of Economics at five universities in Bengkulu City. Samples were drawn using the Slovin formula as many as 356 respondents. Results and Discussion – The results of this study indicate that the higher the interest of individuals (students) it will encourage them to decide what they want, so it is said that interest is one of the factors that encourage someone to choose something. Likewise, student motivation in studying can be a determinant of their success in the future. The expected job is an important driving factor for students in choosing the faculty they will take in gaining knowledge. This is evidenced by the results of the current study and strengthened by the results of previous studies. Conclusion – There is a significant effect between each of the expected interest, motivation, and work variables on the decision to choose, with values of 0.596, 0.452, 0.580, respectively. Then the work variable which is expected to be able to mediate between the interest and motivation variables on the decision to choose, with values of 0.507 and 0.566, respectively. Research implications - The expected work variables in this study can provide information to each university that is the object of research that is not only related to student internal factors but there are other external factors that have an important contribution to the decision to choose prospective students in determining their choice to take college. Thus, universities and faculties can establish cooperation with job providers to accommodate quality graduates in the future, so that this can increase interest and motivation in determining college choices at universities in Bengkulu City. Research limitations - This research is limited to the Bengkulu City area with a total sample of 356 respondents and the number of variables studied is only two independent variables (interest and motivation), one mediating variable (expected job), and one dependent variable (decision). choose).

This research was conducted on accounting students at Pemabangunan Panca Budi University, Medan. This research uses associative quantitative research. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square). The basis for sampling in this study using saturated samples (census) with a total sample of 300 respondents. The results of this study indicate that partially the cost of education interest and motivation have a significant effect on the choice of accounting department. This can be seen in the results of the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square), which means that the variability of the dependent variable which can be explained by the independent variable is 65,3%. While the remaining 34,y% is explained by other variables that are not included in the regression model.

Translation Quality Assessment (TQA) has always been a subject of interest to the translation community, and with the progress of translation training and education in some parts of the world, including Indonesia, the need for translation assessment to measure students' skills also increased. This present study investigates the effectiveness of two translation assessment models in students' translation result. It aims to explore how students improve their translation after giving feedback based on two different assessment models. A mixed-method design, which is characterized by the combination of qualitative and quantitative research components, was employed. The data were collected from English Study Program students of Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya Indonesia from two translation courses at the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The students were asked to translate two different types of texts, namely short story and news article. Data analysis involved providing a description of the results and performing a statistical test using SPSS, t-test in particular. The findings revealed that the students improved greatly in their translation after assessed with two different models. This can be seen from the mean scores of their translation. Waddington Method C as the holistic approach and ATA Framework as the analytical approach gave different results for different texts. Both models were similarly effective for literary text, while for journalistic text, ATA Framework was more effective than Waddington’s. The recommendation is made for future researchers to combine two types of assessment models and test them to see the effectiveness. In addition, focusing on different types of source texts, such as manual text, or legal text, or academic text, or others to be translated and assessed, may also be beneficial.

Students have faced or done unusual things one of which is the act of bullying. As individuals who are in the early adult group, students should already have a correct and precise understanding of bullying. However, there are still many bullying incidents that occur among students. This research is quantitative research with descriptive approach. The respondents were new students in the academic year 2020/2021 at one of the universities in Jakarta which has 513 students. The collection method uses Likert scale model which is distributed through google form. Data analysis was carried out using percentiles to describe the categories of perceptions that new students have of bullying. Based on hypothetical data (89,3%) and empirical (50,49%) indicates that the majority of new students have a neutral perceptions of bullying. That means the majority of new students give inconsistent assessments of aggressive behaviors repeated by individuals or groups against weak individuals. The next conclusion based on hypothetical data (0%) and empirical (28,65%) shows that there are still new students who have a bad perception of bullying or it can be interpreted that there are still students who are wrong in making judgment against bullying.
