During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning at SMP N 3 Kalibagor must continue, but various obstacles arise in distance learning. Limitations of internet quota, feeling lazy and bored with studying alone at home and limited internet coverage in the area around the school are obstacles. The teacher must be able to find the right distance learning solution so that it can serve the learning of all students with all their limitations and problems. Observation and interviews are the right methods for obtaining data from students and teachers. Blended learning between online and offline PJJ is an alternative that can be implemented to overcome PJJ during the Covid pandemic 19 Learning communication with class group WA is used to provide material and assignment information learning. Offline learning activities with visits to students' homes or study groups need to be done to serve students who have problems and limitations. Activities visiting students can provide a spirit of motivation and character education for students. Blended learning by combining WA class groups and student home visits and study groups is an appropriate alternative in distance learning.

All this time, character education can be done well through offline learning in schools. Teachers can control student activities in school directly during learning. The problem arose when Covid-19 began to plague which required offline learning to be eliminated and replaced with online learning. This study aims to reveal how the strategy of MAN 2 Banyuwangi as one of the favorite schools in implementing character education in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Data collection was carried out through observation where the researcher went directly to the field to observe the learning process. Data collection was also carried out through interviews with related parties, as well as documentation obtained from learning activities during the pandemic. The data were then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From this research, it can be concluded that in carrying out character education during the Covid-19 pandemic there are at least three main things done by the school. First, forming a distance learning atmosphere is exactly the same as studying in school. Second, be consistent in implementing the school culture that is usually done in schools and still adapting to existing conditions. Third, establish solid cooperation between schools and parents.

Character education is very important in order to shape the character of the nation. Character education can make students become social beings who help each other, are civilized and polite. Teaching and learning activities carried out in Indonesia previously were face-to-face or offline learning. At the time of face-to-face or offline learning, teachers can easily observe the character of students and can provide direction and character education easily. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the change of face-to-face or offline learning to be replaced by online or virtual. For this reason, collaboration and communication between teachers and parents of students to jointly apply character education is very necessary. Teachers can provide good habituation tasks, by implementing PPK (Strengthening Character Education) in online or virtual activities, and parents working with teachers to supervise student activities from home.

An important component of the educational program is to ensure professional erudition, development of clinical thinking (CT), the formation of students' basic practical skills. In the year of the pandemic, it is especially difficult to really promote the development of these components of professional development in students, and modern pedagogical teaching methods, despite their effectiveness in the offline learning process, need development, improvement during distance learning. The need for the formation of CT students was determined by the founders of medicine many centuries ago, important in the creation of professional thinking was the psychological and pedagogical relationship "teacher-student-patient". Unfortunately, today this chain is lost, but the need to form analytical and exploratory thinking in medical students is extremely important, so it is necessary to revise and analyze the pedagogical methodology for modernization and use in distance learning. CT is an element of future professional activity with the help of which an algorithm of actions in specific clinical situations is created, it is the ability to identify and analyze, as well as to search and evaluate relevant information to achieve the appropriate conclusion. This article tries to conduct a conceptual analysis of the pedagogical methodology of CT formation and the possibility of their application in the conditions of distance learning of the discipline "obstetrics and gynecology". New technological programs are necessary for modeling simulation training. The main tasks of higher medical school are to achieve maximum development of intellectual abilities of the student, in the online format this can be achieved through the use of "virtual patients", situational tasks and cases, game techniques and clarity. However, methods of CT assessment and finding a strategy for its development are also important, as it is a key element of doctors' daily practice. In the 21st century, students need to think through their development, be able to work in teams, distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information from the patient, and be multilingual and highly developed so that they can be effective in all disciplines. These are the characteristics that are expected of modern medical students. However, when faced with unspecified emergencies, they are unable to make the right clinical decisions, leading to accidents. The reason for this is the lack of CT skills among young doctors, so the formation begins in school, adapting to the conditions created by the pandemic. Medical schools should teach the principles of scientific methodology and evidence-based medicine, including analytical and critical thinking, throughout the curriculum. It is important to develop a professional algorithm for the development of CT in each teacher, in order to rely on the development stimulus not only on the theoretical basis of students, but also on the ability to analyze clinical situations, and what is important to act properly algorithmically. Attention should be paid to the psychological and pedagogical aspects and approaches to the development of each student in particular. Moreover, there is no consensus on the most effective learning model for teaching CT skills and clinical considerations, and this skill is not effectively tested in medical schools, so the analysis of existing methods and their application in distance learning is extremely important.

The closure of all teaching and learning activities at educational institutions throughout Indonesia starting March 2020, to assist in efforts to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Hundreds of thousands and even millions of students throughout Indonesia began to feel the impact of teaching and distance learning activities carried out online at their respective homes, many problems began to arise from mounting homework, incomprehensible assignments, psychologically shaken children because they were not put up with online learning, and parents who are busy working to buy their children online learning needs. Therefore, the opening of several community reading parks or TBM for short, if it can help a little bit the burden of parents and the burden of the students themselves, in doing the tasks given by the Educational Institution, with face-to-face offline learning methods.
