<p><strong><em>Background:</em></strong><em> </em><em>Channa striata contains important compounds in the process of tissue synthesis and important role in wound healing, such as albumin, zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), iron (Fe) and unsaturated fat acids. <strong>Purpose :</strong> To determine the effect of Channa striata extract to the amount of neutrophil in healing process of traumatic ulcer. <strong>Material and Method :</strong> The design of this study used randomized post test only control group design. 18 wistar rats were divided into 6 groups, i.e: K-1 (no treatment for 1 day), K-3 (no treatment for 3 days), K+1 (giving hyaluronic acid 0.2% for 1 day), K+3 (giving hyaluronic acis 0.2% for 3 days), P1 (giving Channa striata extract 100% for 1 day), P3 (giving Channa striata extract 100% for 3 days). <strong>Results :</strong> There was a decrease in the number of neutrophil in the treatment group. The mean and standart deviation of the number of neutrophil in the K-1 group (75,96±3,65), K-3 (50,76±2,04), K+1(72,96±2,97),K+3(45,06±2,83),P1(54,20±1,31),P3(32,50±,85). <strong>Conclusion :</strong> The using of Channa striata extract 100% for 3 days are the most effective in decreasing the amount of neutrophil in healing process of traumatic ulcer of Rattus Novergicus Strain Wistar.</em></p>

AbstrakLatar belakang:Metode penyembuhan luka telah mengalami perkembangan, baik berupa suatu produk atau stimulan terhadap proses biologis tubuh dalam menkompensasi luka. Fibroblas merupakan salah satu komponen penyembuhan yang berperan penting dalam proses fibroplasia. Culture Filtrate Fibroblast (CFF) merupakan hasil kultur fibroblas yang akan dibuktikan efeknya terhadap proses percepatan penyembuhan luka pada penelitian ini. Metode. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental dengan metode post test only control group design dan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan menggunakan tikus putih wistar. Hewan coba dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu 2 kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan CFF ke area eksisi luka dan kelompok kontrol yang diberikan larutan NaCl 0,9% ke area eksisi luka. Data diolah dengan SPSS 16.0. Data Kategori dianalisa dengan Chi-squared dan data numerik dengan Independent T-test. Hasil. Dari tingkat penyembuhan tidak ditemukan perbedaan pada kedua kelompok, namun perubahan restriksi jaringan lebih besar pada kelompok perlakuan. Pada skor pembentukan kolagen, derajat epitelisasi serta jumlah pembentukan pembuluh darah baru pada hari ke-3 tidak ditemukan perbedaan antara kedua kelompok. Namun pada pengamatan hari ke-7 memperlihatkan pembentukan kolagen, derajat epitelisasi serta jumlah pembentukan pembuluh darah baru lebih banyak pada kelompok perlakuan. Pada fibrosis hari ke-3 dan hari ke-7 memperlihatkan terjadinya fibrosis lebih banyak pada kelompok perlakuan dibanding kontrol. Pada pengamatan terjadinya infeksi hari ke-3 memperlihatkan infeksi lebih sedikit pada kelompok perlakuan dan terjadinya infeksi sama pada hari ke-7. Kesimpulan. CFF memberikan tingkat penyembuhan luka yang lebih baik dibanding NaCl.Kata kunci: CFF, NaCl 0,9 %, tingkat penyembuhan luka.Abstract Background: Wound healing methods have been developed, either a product or a stimulant to the body's biological processes in wound compensation. Fibroblasts is one component that plays an important role in the healing process of fibroplasia. Culture filtrat Fibroblast (CFF) is a result of fibroblast culture to be proven effect on the acceleration of wound healing in this study.Methods. This study used an experimental design method post test only control group design and randomized block design (RBD) by using wistar mice. Experimental animals were divided into 4 groups, the two groups of treatment given to the area of excision wound CFF and the control group were given 0.9% NaCl solution to the excision wound area. Data processed with SPSS 16.0. Data were analyzed with categories Chi squared and numerical data by the Independent T-test.Result. From degree of wound healing is not found differences in both groups, but the changes in the network restriction greater in the treatment group. The score formation of collagen, the degree of epithelialization and the amount of neovascularisation formation at 3rd day there was no difference between the two groups. However, the observation of 7th day shows the formation of collagen, the degree of epithelialization and the amount of neovascularisation formation more in the treatment group. On the 3rd day fibrosis and 7th day showed more fibrosis in the treatment group compared to controls. In observation of the 3rd day infection showed fewer infections in the treatment group and the same infection between the two group at 7th day.Conclusion. CFF give wound healing better than NaCl.Keywords:CFF, NaCl 0,9 %, degree of wound healing.

  This study aimed to investigate the effect of anonymous peer assessment on students’ writing ability. Quantitative approach was used in this study. Post-test only control group design was the design used in this experimental study. The post-test only control group design was designed to discover the purpose of this study which was to investigate the significant effect on writing ability between students who obtain feedback from anonymous peer assessment and students who obtain feedback from conventional assessment. The study was conducted at SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja. The eleventh grade students in Academic Year 2017/2018 were chosen as the population. The samples were 44 students from XI AP and XI UPW. The instruments used in this study were lesson plan, anonymous peer checklist, writing scoring rubric, and writing test. Writing scoring rubric and writing test were used to obtain the data through post-test while lesson plan and anonymous peer assessment were used during the treatment. The data then was analyzed by using SPSS 16. The results of the analysis show that (1) the mean score of the experimental group was 77.55 while the mean score of the control group was 68.77. (2) The t-observe was 3.892 and it exceeded the t-critical value which was 2.018. Therefore, based on the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference on writing ability between the eleventh grade students who obtained feedback from anonymous peer assessment and those who obtained feedback from conventional assessment at SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja in academic year 2017/2018.

Haruan is a kind of freshwater fishes commonly found in South Kalimantan. Haruan extract contains nutritional substancessuch as albumin, Zn, Fe, Cu, and unsaturated fatty acid which can help accelerate wound healing. The aim of this studywas to histopathologically assess the effect of 100%, 50%, and 25%haruan extract compared to aquadest and ibuprofenon macrophages count in inflammation phase of wistar rats’ buccal mucosa wound healing. This research was a trueexperimental with post test-only with control design. Samples used were 30 wistar rats divided into 5 groups, 100%, 50%,25% haruan extract treatment groups, ibuprofen treatment group as positive control, and aquadest treatment group asnegative control. Mean macrophages counted on day 3 of 100%, 50%, 25% haruan extract treatment groups aquadest,and ibuprofenl were 2.05, 4.4, 3.9, 3.3, 2.4 respectively. In conclusion, haruan extract had a significant effect in decreasingmacrophages count in inflammation phase of wound healing.

Background: Ethanol extract of binjai leaves contain bioactive compounds in the form of flavonoid and saponin which is potential as anti-inflammatory, so it will be able to control the wound healing process. Binjai leaves extract can affect the number of neutrophil on inflammatory phase, as it is characterized by neutrophil cells infiltration to the wound tissue, so its number will increase at the beginning of inflammatory phase and decrease on the 3rd day. Objective: To prove the effect of binjai leaves extract in 1 mg/mL, 2 mg/mL, and 3 mg/mL which given topically to the number of neutrophil in day 1, 3, and 5 of wound incision on the back of male mice. Methods: The study design was a pure laboratory experimental study with post-test only with control group design which involved 36 mice divided into 4 groups: negative control group design which was given BR2 feed, treatment group which was given binjai leaves extract in 1 mg/mL, 2 mg/mL, and 3 mg/mL. Results: The result of One-way ANOVA showed that there was significant difference of all groups in day 1 (p=0.000), day 3 (p=0.001), and day 5 (p=0.000). Post-Hoc LSD test showed that there was significant difference (p<0.05) between the negative control group and treatment groups. Conclusion: Binjai leaves extract has an effect to increase the number of neutrophil in day 1 and decrease the number of neutrophil in day 3 and 5 on the healing of back wound incision in mice.

Haruan is Kalimantan’s indigenous fish which has the potency to accelerate wound healing. Haruan extract hassubstantial properties such as albumin, Zn,Cu, and Feto accelerate wound healing. The purpose of this study is to assessthe effect of haruan extract on wistar rats buccal mucosa wound healing on day 1, 3, 5, and 7 histopathologically. Thisstudy was purely experimental with pretest-posttest with control group design. Samples were divided into 4 treatmentgroups, haruan extract 25%, 50%, 100% treatment groups and aquadest treatment group as negative control, eachtreatment wasperformed for 7 days. Neocapillariescount reached its peak on day 5. Mean neocapillaries scoring of eachgroup was 12, 16.5, 18.5, 6 respectively. Two way Anova and post hoc LSD tests presented a significant differencebetween negative control and haruan extract groups. In conclusion, haruan extract treatment significantly increasedneocapillaries count in wound healing process.

This research purposed to prove whether Self Collection Strategy and Students’ Motivation gives significant effect on the students’ Vocabulary Mastery on English Subject. This research was quasi-experimental research by using the post test-only control group design. The population was the students at Economic Accountant Department Bung Hatta University in the academic year of 2016/2017. The writer used cluster random sampling to select the samples. To collect the data, the researcher used vocabulary test. The data analyzed by using t-test and SPSS 16.0. The findings of this research showed that the mean score of students who were taught by using Self Collection Strategy was 84. The mean score of students who were taught by using memory strategy was 76. It means that Self Collection Strategy gave significant effect toward their vocabulary mastery on English Subject. The elements of Self Collection Strategy such as heterogeneous group, individual accountability, and group reward are considered as the effort for the findings.

ABSTRACTBackground: Inflammatory and/or non-inflammatory processes play a role in stimulating pulp repair and the formation of hard tissue, namely reparative dentin. Macrophages play a role in the pathogenesis and chronic inflammatory disorders. The combination casein lactoferrin of bovine colostrum as an immunomodulator has therapeutic potential. This study aims to determine the therapeutic effect and duration of application of the combination of casein lactoferrin of bovine colostrum, on the expression of macrophages as pulp capping.Method: This study was a true experimental laboratories post test only control group design, consisting of three groups of 60 male wistar rats with 4 observation times, namely day to day 7, 14, 21 and 28 each of 5 mice. The maxillary 1st molars were prepared until the roof of the pulp was exposed. Three groups, namely the combination of casein and lactoferrin bovine colostrum (CKL) and calcium hydroxide (K1) and the untreated group (K0). Each group was filled with glassionomer as a permanent restoration. The tissue was made histological preparations with hematoxylin-eosin staining and the number of macrophages were counted, then analyzed by two way ANOVA and post hoc LSD tests.Result: The results showed that the therapeutic effect and duration of application of the combination of casein and lactoferrin bovine colostrum on the expression of macrophages as pulp cappingConclusion: The combination of casein and lactoferrin of bovine colostrum as capping material can increase the number of macrophages in the healing process of dental pulp.

Abstract: Weight is one measure that gives description of the tissue mass including body fluids. Weight change is nfluenced by nutriment consumption. Sago contains high carbohydrates that can increase body weight. This study aimed to obtain the effect of sago compared to rice to body weight of wistar rats. This was a random laboratory experimental pre-post test with control group design. Subjects were male wistar rats, aged 5-6 months. The rats were divided in two groups: rice group as control and sago group. Sago was cooked in papeda form as much as 75 g of dried sago and 300 mL water. The rats were fed for 2 weeks. Data were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the sago group showed an increase of body weight significantly (p=0,001) meanwhile the rice group lose body weight significantly (p=0,001). Conclusion: Sago can increase body weight of wistar rats significantly.Keywords: body weight, sago, riceAbstrak: Berat badan merupakan salah satu ukuran yang memberikan gambaran massa jaringan termasuk cairan tubuh. Salah satu yang memengaruhi berat badan yaitu dengan mengonsumsi makanan bergizi. Sagu memiliki kandungan karbohidrat (pati) yang besar dan dapat meningkatkan berat badan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian sagu terhadap berat badan dibanding nasi pada tikus wistar. Desain penelitian ini ialah eksperimental laboratorium acak pre-post test with control group design. Subjek penelitian ialah tikus wistar jantan berusia 5-6 bulan dibagi atas 2 kelompok: kelompok nasi (kontrol) dan kelompok sagu. Sagu dimasak dalam bentuk papeda sebanyak 75 g sagu kering dan 300 mL air. Tikus diperlihara selama 2 minggu. Berat badan diukur dengan menggunakan timbangan. Data dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian sagu sebanyak 2 cc setiap hari selama seminggu mampu meningkatkan berat badan secara bermakna (p = 0,001) sedangkan pemberian nasi menurunkan berat badan (p=0,001). Simpulan: Pemberian sagu dapat meningkatkan berat badan tikus wistar secara bermakna.Kata kunci: berat badan, sagu, nasi

This study aims to determine the morphology of Leydig cells in hyperlipidemic wistar rats after having administered with sembung (Blumea balsamifera) extract orally. This study utilised a randomized post-test only control group design. The sample in this study were 16 adult male wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) aged 3-4 months with a body weight of 150-200 grams, which were equally and randomly divided into two groups, namely control group (hyperlipidaemia and sterile aquadest) and treatment group (hyperlipidaemia and sembung leaf extract). Hyperlipidaemia was induced with lard administration for 50 days. Data were analysed statistically using the Independent t-test. The results showed that the number of Leydig cells in the treatment group was higher than the control group with 68.13 ± 1.89 and 55.63 ± 1.92 cells respectively (P <0.05). In addition, the mean Leydig cell core diameter of the control group, 5.00 ± 0.34 µm, was smaller compared to the treatment group which was 5.80 ± 0.20 µm (P <0.05). It can be inferred that sembung leaf extract provides a protective effect against damage to Leydig cells due to hyperlipidaemia.

Nigella sativa oil is antioxidant compound has the effect that serves to prevent cellular damage. The effect of Nigella sativa oil in the motility and total count of spermatozoa wistar rats. Experimental research with the design of post test only control group design. Wistar rats consists of 24 head and divided into 4 groups consist of control and treatment group. The control group was distilled. The first treatment was of Nigella sativa oil everydays as much with dose 150 mg/kgbw, 250 mg/kgbw, and 350 mg/kgbw, for 16 days, . Statistic test for motility and count of sperm wistar rats use the Kruskal-Wallis followed by Mann Whitney test. Avarage value of motility in the control (21.67±9.832) its lower than treatment. In dose 350 mg/kgbw its highest (52.33±13.292) compare in the treatment 250 mg/kgbw (40.67±17.512) and 150 mg/kgbw (30.67±8.165). avarage value of count sperm in the control (130.83±41.877) its lower than treatments. In dose 350 mg/kgbw its highest (199.67±23.480) compare in the treatment 250 mg/kgbw (187.50±74.538) and 150 mg/kgbw (140.83±32.568). Administration of Nigella sativa oil occur to enhancement motility and number of spermatozoa wistar rats.
