This study was conducted to determine sheep farmers' selection of marketing channels in livestock sales and the factors affecting their choices. The research data were generated from the survey data of 53 enterprises selected via simple random sampling method in Samsun province in 2019. In this research, descriptive statistics were used to determine some characteristics of the sheep farmers, and the chi-square test was employed to compare the farmers' characteristics according to the selection of the marketing channels. According to the results of the study, four marketing channels were identified to be efficient in livestock marketing. These were final consumers, brokers, retailers, and mixed channels. Besides, it was determined that the variables of selling additional products (milk, cheese, fleece) in the enterprise other than livestock, being a member of the Sheep and Goat Breeders Association, and the reason of choosing marketing channels had an impact (P<0.05) on the selection of marketing channels.

Mothers’ regularity of weighing their children aged <5 yo at Posyandu is crucial to monitor the growth, nutritional status, and health of the children. Several factors could affect mothers’ regularity in weighing their children at Posyandu. This study aimed to identify factors affecting mothers to regularly measure the weight of their children <5 yo at Posyandu in Toobaun Village Kupang District. The study used an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study design. The sample was 57 mothers who had under-five children obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test. The result showed that knowledge (p= 0,002) and distance home-posyandu (p=0,000) associated with mothers’ regularity of weighing their under-five children, while mother’s occupation had no association with mothers’ regularity of weighing their children( p=0,091). Health workers should encourage mothers to measure regularly the weight of their under-five children at Posyandu.

Background: Wasting prevalence in Indonesia is never been decreased for years. Wasting caused by many factors such as skipping breakfast and inappropriate selection of snacks that contribute to children’s level of nutritional intake adequacy.Objectives: The purpose of this research was to analyze correlation between skipping breakfast and selection of snack among elementary school children. Method: This was an analytical observational research with case control design conducted in three elementary schools in Sembung Village, Gresik. The sample size was 22 students in each group, which taken using a simple random sampling technique at student of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. Data was collected by interviewing the respondent with structured questionnaire. Nutritional status was classified with BMI/Age using WHO-MGRS standard. Association among variables were analyzed using Chi-Square test. (α=0.05). Result: The result showed that 68.2% respondent from cases used skipping breakfast while 27.3% respondent from control used to skip breakfast. 22.7% respondent in cases used to consume high nutritional value snack food while 72.7% respondent in control used to consume high nutritional value snack food. Chi-Square test showed there was an association between breakfast habits and the selection of snack with wasting (p=0.007; OR=5.714) (p=0.001; OR=9.067).Conclusion: Skipping breakfast habits and the selection of snack had a correlation with wasting incident in village children.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Prevalensi wasting di Indonesia tidak pernah mengalami penurunan yang signifikan selama tahun ke tahun. Kejadian wasting dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti kebiasaan sarapan dan pemilihan makanan jajanan yang mampu berkontibusi terhadap tingkat kecukupan energi dan zat gizi anak.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebiasaan melewatkan sarapan dan kebiasan memilih jajanan makanan kejadian wasting pada anak sekolah dasar di pedesaan.Metode: Penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain case control ini dilakukan di 3 sekolah dasar di Desa Sembung Kecamatan Wringinanom Kabupaten Gresik. Besar sampel penelitian ini adalah 22 sampel untuk masing -masing kelompok yang berasal dari kelas III, IV dan V dan diambil secara simple random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara pada anak dengan kuisioner tersktutur. Klasifikasi berdasarkan pada nilai tabel z-score IMT/U WHO-MGRS.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji chi-square (α=0,05)Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 68,2% responden kelompok kasus, terbiasa melewatkan sarapan sedangkan 27,3% responden kelompok kontrol terbiasa melewatkan sarapan. 22,7% responden kelompok kasus terbiasa membeli makanan jajan bernilai gizi tinggi sedangkan 72,7% responden kelompok kontrol terbiasa membeli makanan jajan bernilai gizi tinggi. Hasil Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan ada hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan dan pemilihan makanan jajanan dengan kejadian wasting (p= 0,007 OR: 5,714) (p= 0,001 OR: 9,067).Kesimpulan: Kebiasaan melewatkan sarapan dan pemilihan makanan jajanan berhubungan dengan kejadian wasting pada anak pedesaan.

To determine factors that influence fracture patients on the selection of fracture treatment in Raden Mattaher General Hospital of Jambi. A cross-sectional study was conducted from May 23 to September 25, 2018, using a questionnaire with limb fracture patients as participants. The survey included questions about the selection of fracture treatment, severity fracture, beliefs, culture, side effects, and treatment costs, and was completed by 64 patients. Data analysis used for this study were chi-square test. The factors affecting the selection of fracture treatment were fracture severity (p 0.001; 95% CI 2.13-32.60), beliefs (p 0.003; 95% CI 1.70-20.53), and treatment costs (p 0.009; 95% CI 1.41 – 33.14). Professional personnel, especially nurses, need a persuasive approach and education with appropriate communication and media in fracture patients and families so that they can make the right decisions in fracture treatment.

The purpose of this study is to first look at the pattern of rice marketing channels and to find out the factors that influence it in Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Tanjung Lago district, Banyuasin Regency in September - November 2019. The selection of the location of this study was carried out deliberately with the consideration that the majority of residents in Tanjung Lago district Banyuasin Regency are rice farmers, there is a village market, and is an area of rice production centres. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method with surveys and interviews in which the sampling is used a simple random sampling method by taking 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that rice marketing institutions have formed a marketing pattern consisting of four marketing channels. Factors that have a significant effect on the pattern of rice marketing channels are farm-level selling prices, marketing margins, and marketing efficiency. Marketing channel 1 is the shortest marketing channel, which has produced the smallest marketing margin value of 23.65%. The selling price of farmers' grain/rice, marketing margins, and marketing efficiency partially or simultaneously significantly influences the average farmer share of 67.69%.

The nature of the relationship between consumers and the brands to which they are loyal is, however, more wide-reaching than consumers’ behaviours and attitudes. Behavioral aspect of male and female may be different because of their choice and selection. Here, the main aim of this study was to identify the relationship between the gender and brand loyalty with reference to Soap, Noodles and Hair oil in Nepal. The study was conducted among the 200 student of private and public school of Kathmandu valley. The simple random sampling technique was used to select the students. Chi-Square Test was used to identify the relationship between the male and females to brand loyalty. The result indicates that there was significant association in brand loyalty of male and female in noodles whereas there was no significant association in brand loyalty in soap and hair oil. The future researcher can explore the factors affecting the brand loyalty of male and female.

  Objective: To analyze factors associated with anxiety in postmenopausal women.   Methods: This study was descriptive analytic with cross-sectional approach conducted in 228 postmenopausal women that aged 50-64 years old in coastal areas of Kendari City. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. The technique of collecting data used questionnaires and the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (T-MAS). Data were analyzed using Chi-square test with a significance value p  0.05.   Results: The results showed that 188 respondents (82.4%) had. anxiety. Its most experienced anxiety was aged 50-54 years old (37.7%), low education (96.0%), as housewife (62.7%), low income (91.2%) and lived with a partner (54.4%). There was correlation between anxiety with age (p=0.016), education level (p = 0.009), income (p = 0.011), and residence status (p = 0.029). There was no correlation between anxiety with occupation (p = 0.351).   Conclusion: There was a correlation between anxiety in postmenopausal women in coastal areas with age, education level, income, and residence status.   Keywords: age, anxiety, education level, income, postmenopausal women, residence status

Ginger is a high value crop belongs to family Zingiberaceae. Ginger has multiple health benefits and can be easily grown in mid-hill regions of Nepal. The major challenge is the limited availability of information on factors affecting ginger yield. The objective of this project was to analyze different factors influencing ginger production. The study was conducted in Surkhet district of Nepal in 2018. A total of 100 farmers (60 and 40 from Barahtal and Chingad rural municipalities respectively) were selected using simple random sampling technique. Primary data were collected using interview schedule, focus group discussion and key informant interview. Data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel. The descriptive statistics, chi-square test and correlation were used to derive conclusion. The average age and land under ginger cultivation were 41 years and 0.093 hectare respectively. Average ginger production in the study area was 980 kg per ropani. There was a strong positive relationship between farm size and ginger production. Training, subsidy and labor crisis had positive association with ginger production. However, family size and years of schooling were not significant but positively correlated. It is recommended that concerned authorities should give emphasis on farmer training, extension services, and subsidy to enhance ginger production. Int. J. Appl. Sci. Biotechnol. Purpose of the study: This empirical study aims to identify the perceptions of pilgrim tourists’ regarding their accommodation and transport facilities in the Golden Temple, Vellore city, Tamil Nadu, India. Methodology: This study used both primary and secondary data for data collection among pilgrim tourists. Data were later on analyzed using SPSS statistical tools like percentage, Chi-square, ANOVA using Statistical Package for Social Sciences were applied. Results: The findings of the study indicate that the income of the family doesn’t relate to accommodation facilities and the age of the respondents was affected by the transport facilities in Vellore City. Applications of this study: The study brings to highlights the basics of accommodation and transportation and the factors affecting the perception of pilgrim’s tourists. It concludes that the age of the respondents affects the transport facilities in Vellore City. The transportation facilities should be improved for the tourists to attract and improve pilgrim tourism. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study has found that the tourists had sufficient maturity, education and good exposure about their destination. The study found that accommodation facilities such as comfort, peace, safety and security, attitude and behavior of staff, and sanitation and hygiene are not more satisfied. Transport facilities such as Signboard, street lights, traffic rules have to be improved.

The study identified the marketing channels involved in the marketing of saffron and revealed grower preference to various marketing channels. Furthermore, it found that the choice of marketing channel depends on income of the saffron grower. The primary data was collected from the respondents (201 saffron growers, 6 dalals and local traders, 17, retailers/wholesalers and 5 firms) in the three selected villages of Pampore namely Letpora, Ledhu and Konibal based on interview schedule framed in accordance with the objectives of the study. Proportional sampling framework was followed for selecting the respondents of the study. The chi-square test for association has been used to find the relationship between two categorical variables which in case of present study is income and channel.

Background. To identify the most common retention protocols practiced by Iraqi orthodontists using a specially designed e-survey. Furthermore, this study aimed to assess the effect of sociodemographic factors on the participant’s choice. Methods. Two hundred and twenty-five questionnaires with 23 multiple choice questions were sent to members of the Iraqi Orthodontic Society. The questionnaire was organized into four sections representing information about sociodemographic status of the orthodontists, factors affecting the selection of the retention system, commonly used retainers in the upper arch and lower arch, and duration of the retention system. The chi-square test was used to test the significant association between different variable and sociodemographic factors. Results. The response rate was 87.5%. The majority of the respondents considered the original malocclusion (80.2%) and clinical experience (49.7%) as the main factors for choosing the retention protocol. In the maxillary arch, a combination of vacuum-formed retainer and fixed retainer (35%) was mostly applied; in the mandibular arch, a fixed retainer was mainly used (46.7%). Most of the respondents recommended initial full-time wearing of a removable appliance (78.2%), especially in the first 3–6 months (47.2%). According to the respondents, bonding a fixed retainer to all anterior teeth was most common (79.7%), fabricated, and adapted directly inside the patient’s mouth (75.1%). More than half used flowable composite (54.8%) and recommend leaving the retainer forever (53.8%). Most of the variables showed a statistically significant association between the sociodemographic factors and type, duration, and fabrication of the retainer used. Conclusions. A combination of removable and fixed retainers was commonly used in orthodontics retention, and sociodemographic factors significantly affected retainer choice.
