The paper synthesizes the optimal structure of data processing of the aircraft transponder of the “friend or foe” identification system based on the Neumann-Pearson criterion. It is also shown, that when synthesizing and analyzing the optimal structure of signal data processing in aircraft transponders of "friend or foe" identification systems, it is necessary to take into account the multichannel reception of request signals and limitations of relative throughput of the aircraft transponder, which is caused by the existing principle of constructing the system as single-channel queuing system with failures. The proposed models make it possible to implement the structures of data processing of request signals for situations of inter-channel merging of previous channel decisions on the detection of request signals or pulse components of the request signals. In the proposed structure, the optimization of data processing is carried out not only in time but also in the spatial parameters of the request signals, and also takes into account the relative bandwidth of the aircraft responder. It is shown that the inter channel merging of the results of detecting the component pulses of the query signals is more preferable compared to the existing algorithm of merging the results of detecting the query signals, as it improves the quality of query signal detection and reduces the dependence of query signal detection of relative response.

The weak direct current (DC) signals detected and converted by the photodetector are output to the mobile phone by voltage/frequency switching, and the signals are processed by the mobile phone APP and audio conversion module. The photodetector is equipped with the automatic switching function to design an optical power meter and detect weak signals. Meanwhile, the optical cable identification system is analyzed and combined with the optical power meter to generate an optical fiber sensing network to improve the weak alternating current (AC) signal detection. This network needs data fusion in sensor nodes’ data collection. The cluster routing protocol is introduced and combined with the back propagation neural network (BPNN) to propose a method suitable for this photoelectric transmission and improve the information fusion and accuracy. In the experiment, the optical power meter is output in gears first, and the output waveforms are normal. The photodiode’s optical power is adjusted to obtain different frequencies on the oscilloscope. In the proposed optical fiber sensing network, weak AC signals are amplified significantly, and different optical fiber lines can be distinguished in the optical cables. The proposed information collection method can reduce network communication and node energy consumption.

Abstract This article contributes a framework for the quality assessment of imputations within a broader structure to evaluate the quality of register-based data. Four quality-related hyperdimensions examine the data processing from the raw-data level to the final statistics. Our focus lies on the quality assessment of different imputation steps and their influence on overall data quality. We suggest classification rates as a measure of accuracy of imputation and derive several computational approaches.

Event-related potentials (ERPs) are noninvasive measures of human brain activity that index a range of sensory, cognitive, affective, and motor processes. Despite their broad application across basic and clinical research, there is little standardization of ERP paradigms and analysis protocols across studies. To address this, we created ERP CORE (Compendium of Open Resources and Experiments), a set of optimized paradigms, experiment control scripts, data processing pipelines, and sample data (N = 40 neurotypical young adults) for seven widely used ERP components: N170, mismatch negativity (MMN), N2pc, N400, P3, lateralized readiness potential (LRP), and error-related negativity (ERN). This resource makes it possible for researchers to 1) employ standardized ERP paradigms in their research, 2) apply carefully designed analysis pipelines and use a priori selected parameters for data processing, 3) rigorously assess the quality of their data, and 4) test new analytic techniques with standardized data from a wide range of paradigms.

Data derived from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) plays a key role in water traffic data mining. However, there are various errors regarding time and space. To improve availability, AIS data quality dimensions are presented for detecting errors of AIS tracks including physical integrity, spatial logical integrity and time accuracy. After systematic summary and analysis, algorithms for error pre-processing are proposed. Track comparison maps and traffic density maps for different types of ships are derived to verify applicability based on the AIS data from the Chinese Zhoushan Islands from January to February 2015. The results indicate that the algorithms can effectively improve the quality of AIS trajectories.

The evolution of Structure from Motion (SfM) techniques and their integration with the established procedures of classic stereoscopic photogrammetric survey have provided a very effective tool for the production of three-dimensional textured models. Such models are not only aesthetically pleasing but can also contain metric information, the quality of which depends on both survey type and applied processing methodologies. An open research topic in this area refers to checking attainable accuracy levels. The knowledge of such accuracy is essential, especially in the integration of models obtained through SfM with other models derived from different sensors or methods (laser scanning, classic photogrammetry ...). Accuracy checks may be conducted by either comparing SfM models against a reference one or measuring the deviation of control points identified on models and measured with classic topographic instrumentation and methodologies. This paper presents an analysis of attainable accuracy levels, according to different approaches of survey and data processing. For this purpose, a survey of the Church of San Miniato in Marcianella (Pisa, Italy), has been used. The dataset is an integration of laser scanning with terrestrial and UAV-borne photogrammetric surveys; in addition, a high precision topographic network was established for the specific purpose. In particular, laser scanning has been used for the interior and the exterior of the church, with the exclusion of the roof, while UAVs have been used for the photogrammetric survey of both roof, with horizontal strips, and façade, with vertical strips.
