Bidikmisi scholarship is a government program to help prospective new students who are academically capable and economically incapable. The Bidikmisi scholarship is a form of tuition assistance and living expenses. Starting in 2018 Budi Darma University began accepting new students through the bidikmisi scholarship path, admission of new students through the bidikmisi path must meet the requirements set by the government. Determination of whether or not a prospective new student is a recipient of bidikmisi based on report cards, school performance, results of selection tests and interviews. During this time the organizers and managers of bidikmisi at Budi Darma University have had difficulty determining prospective students who are truly eligible to receive bidikmisi scholarships in addition to the very limited quota and the large number of prospective students receiving bidikmisi scholarships as well as the value of each criteria for prospective students receiving bidikmisi which is almost the same or similar to one another. To make it easier to determine prospective students receiving the Bidikmisi scholarship, the K-Medoids algorithm is used. K-Medoids algorithm is one of the algorithms in data mining to group data based on the closest criteria value

Acceptance of new students is one of the processes that exist in educational institutions every year, the number of prospective students who register causes the new student admission committee cannot manage everything properly so that it is less effective in handling it. In this study, the new student admission system used by Al-Basyariah Vocational School Bojong Gede still uses the system manually, which still uses paper records, so that minimal damage and even data loss occurs. Making a new student registration information system is expected to facilitate new prospective students in registering by saving time and costs compared to coming directly to school and with the information system of new student admissions, it is expected to help and simplify the processing of students in this school.

Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT) is a program organized by the government in overcoming poverty and food needs. The BPNT program aims to reduce the burden of expenditure and provide more balanced nutrition to Beneficiary Families (KPM). However, in the implementation of the BPNT program there were still technical problems, including the determination of potential BPNT recipients who were wrongly targeted. To facilitate Government in determining prospective BPNT recipients, the authors make a decision support system using the Simple Additive Weighting method where this system generates ranking to choose citizens who are entitled to receive BPNT through calculating the criteria of each alternative. It is expected that this application can provide recommendations for prospective BPNT recipients who are more targeted.

Abstract: In the era of digital media development, which is increasingly rapid, almost everyone of all ages is in dire need of digital media that is connected to the internet so that people can provide and receive information quickly. With the implementation of school closures since March 16, 2020 due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, schools are carrying out online learning activities. With these conditions, the school must have an appropriate marketing strategy, the school must be able to carry out the process of admitting new students. So that many prospective students will register at the school even though the school is still not open. The solution that can be done is to develop a website-based school information system where prospective new students can access the website anywhere and anytime so that they can receive information about the school quickly, precisely, and accurately and carry out the registration process as prospective students without having to come to school. The development of a new student admission information system is designed using the Waterfall Method with the stages being carried out, namely needs analysis, design, programming, testing, and support or maintenance.Keywords: Program Design, Student AcceptanceAbstrak: Di era perkembangan media digital yang semakin pesat saat ini hampir setiap kalangan dari berbagai tingkat usia sangat membutuhkan media digital yang terhubung dengan internet sehingga masyarakat dapat memberikan dan menerima informasi dengan cepat. Dengan diberlakukannya penutupan sekolah sejak 16 Maret 2020 dikarenakan pandemi global Covid-19 sekolah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran secara online. Dengan kondisi seperti ini sekolah harus memiliki strategi marketing yang sesuai, sekolah harus dapat menjalankan proses penerimaan peserta didik baru. Sehingga banyak calon siswa yang akan mendaftar di sekolah tersebut walaupun sekolah masih belum dibuka. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengembangkan sistem informasi sekolah berbasis website dimana calon peserta didik baru dapat mengakses website tersebut dimanapun dan kapanpun sehingga mereka dapat menerima informasi tentang sekolah secara cepat, tepat, dan akurat dan melakukan proses pendaftaran sebagai calon siswa tanpa harus datang ke sekolah. Pengembangan sistem informasi penerimaan peserta didik baru di rancangan menggunakan Metode Waterfall dengan tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu analisis kebutuhan, desain, pembuatan kode program, pengujian, dan pendukung atau pemeliharaan.Kata kunci: Perancangan Program, Penerimaan Peserta Didik

Abstract: New Student Admission is one process that exists in educational institutions such as schools that are useful for screening prospective students who are selected according to the criteria determined by the school to become students. In general, the process of admitting new students is done through the stages of registration, selection tests and announcements of new student admissions. So far, Kosgoro Vocational School has registered new student participants in a manual and not computerized way, causing time constraints and more costs for prospective students. In developing this application using the waterfall method includes the stages of determining software requirements, program design and testing of applications that have been made, In terms of making this website using Codeigniter and PHP so that the web display is more attractive and more efficient in accepting new students and providing convenience to prospective students to be able to register online and administrative staff can use it and see the latest developments in new student registration. Kebijakan Promosi dari Universitas untuk mendapatkan mahasiswa baru merupakan hal yang vital bagi kelancaran proses penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru. Pihak lembaga perlu mengkaji dan melakukan analisis yang baik sebelum melakukan promosi. Di era sekarang, banyak media yang dapat dijadikan sebagai media promosi. Dengan berkembangnya cara penyebaran informasi serta banyaknya media pihak yang berkepentingan sudah seharusnya jeli mana yang mendapat prioritas lebih dari semua banyak lini media tempat promosi. Ketika tingkat prioritas sudah ditentukan maka upaya promosi akan menjadi lebih mudah dan lebih tepat sasaran. Akan tetapi penentuan tingkat prioritas tidak dapat dilakukan secara asal dan sembarangan. Perlu dilakukan pengkajian yang lebih dalam bukan hanya sekedar intuisi belaka. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh promosi dengan minat calon mahasiswa memilih AMIKOM sebagai universitas pilihan dengan acuan tiga variable yaitu sosial media, website, dan referensi alumni. Pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS dan SPSS AMOS untuk mencari validitas, reliabilitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah semua variable signifikan, dengan urutan dari nilai tertinggi ke terendah adalah Sosial Media, Referensi Alumni, dan Website. Kata Kunci—Promosi, Validitas, Reliabilitas, HipotesisPromotion policy from the University to get new students is vital for the smooth process of admission of New Students. The institution needs to review and conduct a good analysis before conducting a promotion. In this era, many media can be used as promotional media. With the development of ways of disseminating information and the many media interested parties it should be observant which gets priority over all the many lines of media wherepromotion. When the priority level has been determined, the promotion effort will be easier and more targeted. However, the determination of priority levels cannot be done arbitrarily and carelessly. Deeper studies need to be done not just mere intuition. This study discusses the effect of promotion with the interest of prospective students choosing AMIKOM as the university of choice with three variables reference, namely social media, website, and alumni reference. Data processing using SPSS and SPSS AMOS software to find validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results obtained are all significant variables, with the order from highest to lowest values are Social Media, Alumni Reference, and Website.Keywords— Promotion, Validity, Reliability, Hypothesis

One of the very important aspect in the Education is related to the enrollment of new students which has a very complex problems. To overcome all the problems, the District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda, published a policy on the new students enrollment, year 2016/2017 by using online system/model. This research Purposes are (1) to describe the implementation of the  District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda for new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017 for SMA level and (2) to know how the implementation of the District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda for new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017 can be accepted by community. This research uses qualitative approach with the technique of data collection through indept interview, observation and  the documentation study. The sources of the informations for this research are the school headmasters and new student parents/new students. The research findings are (1) according to the school headmasters (the policy implementors), year 2016/2017 that the new students enrollment policy can be implemented on the SMA levels, although there are some problems associated with the students non-academic achievements, disability/Environment Devolopment(ED)/PTK, and the school capacity and the stages of the  registration path. While according to the new students’ parents/ new students, the new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017  can be accepted with four notes, namely the problem of the non-academic students’ achievement, disability/ED/PTK, school capacity and the stages of the new students enrollment path; (2) related to the registration phase students’ non-academic achievements, disability /ED/PTK done before the regular /general path, causes many problems; (3) system/model of selection for students’ non-academic  achievements, disability/ED/PTK based on the leves of the highest value of the National Examination results causes problems; and (4) the school capacity according to the policy implementors and new students’ parents/new students hope the government provides enought school capacity for the community; and (5) Headmasters always have their HP on and they are always at school.

Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut in order to improve the new student admission, has adopted numerous type of promotion strategies. The strategies are among others high school visits, banner displays, brochure distribution, and promotions via social media. However, those strategies adopted by Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut are admittedly costly. Application of Selecting Promotion Strategy Enrollment of New Students in the Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut is an application used to help determine what kind of promotional strategy is likely to be more accurate and more planned as the guidance as well as the reference in order to increase the enrollment percentage of new students. The determination of such promotional media’s outcomes is supported by applying the method of K-Means Clustering to do the classification of promotional media data obtained from the result of students’ questionnaires. Obviously such thing becomes a solution to help determine the promotional strategy at Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut.

Promotion technique is one of the methods used by AMIK and STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangiantar in finding new students. By developing promotional techniques that are more effective and efficient, it can produce the information needed to get new student candidates. The data that is processed in this research is the data of new student candidates who come from the AMIK New Student Admissions (PMB) and STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar. Based on promotional data in 2020, there are several promotions carried out, including through print media, banners, collaboration with SMA / SMK schools in Pematangsiantar city, through alumni, and the web. Furthermore, the data is processed using Rapidminer software. The processing stages are grouped using the K-Medoids algorithm on the data of prospective students, including name, place and date of birth, address, religion, cellphone number, school origin, choice of study program and source of information. Followed by the process of improving the data so that more accurate data is obtained to be processed. The results of the testing of this method are knowing which regions are applying to AMIK and STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematngsiantar which are grouped into 2 clusters, namely the highest and the lowest. The K-Medoids algorithm that is used makes a big contribution by providing new information that can be used as a reference for AMIK and STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematngsiantar in terms of Promoting New Student Admissions in the coming year.

<p>The application of online-based student admission aims to provide the widest possible opportunity for every citizen to obtain a fast, transparent and accountable registration service. The purpose of the research carried out at the State Senior High School 2 Singkawang (SMAN 2 Singkawang) was to describe the online-based prospective student admission planning at SMAN 2 Singkawang, organizing admissions based on online students at SMAN 2 Singkawang, the implementation of prospective participants online-based students at SMAN 2 Singkawang, online admission supervision of prospective students at SMAN 2 Singkawang, as well as an online evaluation of new student candidates at SMAN 2 Singkawang. The approach used in this study is qualitative research on the type of case study research. The results of the research that have been conducted include 1) Planning the recruitment process of online-based prospective students conducted by the agency and the school; 2) Organizing in the acceptance of new students through the division of committee work; 3) Implementation of new online-based student admissions is carried out in accordance with existing technical instructions; 4) Supervision carried out in new student admission activities is carried out by the principal as the head of the education unit and also as the person in charge of the activity; 5) On this online-based new student admission activity, it has run well. But there are those that are the main focus of supporting activities are the internet and electricity networks, so that these two facilities must be ensured in good condition.</p>

<p>The purpose of this study is to obtain information about school policies in supporting PIP which is focused on the process of determining prospective PIP recipients, strategies implemented by the principal, procedures for implementing PIP policies, forms of PIP policies and constraints. With a qualitative approach, this research was compiled using interview data and document data. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study found that the school policy in supporting PIP was in the form of (1) The process of determining prospective PIP recipients, namely the establishment of a PIP responsible committee equipped with assignments and referring to technical guidelines. Supporting documents for the determination of prospective PIP recipients in the form of new student admission forms, photocopies of COWs, photocopies of PIP cards, photocopies of KKS, and PKH; (2) The strategy carried out by the school principal in supporting PIP conducts socialization, proposing students who are eligible to receive PIP; and provide socialization / direction to students receiving PIP; (3) Procedures for implementing PIP policies are guided by technical guidelines; (4) In the form of the PIP policy in Santo Gabriel's private junior high school, the PIP funds were collected collectively by the principal, the PIP funds received were intended to pay for student re-registration, school fees, and books. The school submits a written report to the District Education Office regarding the realization and distribution of PIP funds; (5) Internal barriers in supporting PIP, namely: (a) Students do not understand PIP; (b) New student admission forms are incomplete; and (c) The committee has difficulty in determining eligible students to be submitted as candidates for PIP recipients. Whereas external barriers, namely student data sent centrally when disbursing some students are not all realized.</p>
