Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of 'Contextual Teaching and Learning' on students 'mathematical communication skills in terms of students' self-confidence. This research uses factorial design. The population in this study were all students of class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ansharullah Birandang Island in the academic year 2018/2019. The sample of this study is students of class VII.B as an experimental class and class VIII as a control class. The instrument used was a questionnaire instrument to measure the level of students 'Self Confidence and description tests to measure students' mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) There are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who take the CTL learning model and students who take conventional learning. 2) There is no influence of the interaction between CTL learning models with Self Confidence on students' mathematical communication skills. Thus in general the CTL learning model influences students' mathematical communication skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh 'Contextual Teaching and Learning' terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self-confidence siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain faktorial. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ansharullah Pulau Birandang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelasVII.A sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen angket tuntuk mengukur tingkat Self Confidence siswa dan tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran CTL dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Tidak terdapa tpengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran CTL dengan Self Confidence terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Dengan demikian secara umum model pembelajaran CTL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

This study aims to determine the influence of the cooperative learning model CORE type on the mathematical communication skills at the eight grade students of SMPN 2 Kediri in Academic Year 2019/2020 on cube and block material.  The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with post-test only control group design.  The population of this study were all eight grade students of SMPN 2 Kediri in academic year 2019/2020, which were distributed in three classes.  The sample class was selected using cluster random sampling technique, obtained class VIII-B as the experimental class and class VIII-C as the control class.  As for data collection techniques, namely observation and tests.  The data analysis technique used the prerequisite test, namely the normality test and the homogeneity test followed by the pooled variance t-test.  Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was a difference between the mathematical communication skills of students who obtained the cooperative learning model CORE type and those who used the direct learning model.  Classes that using the CORE model get an average score of 77.86 while those taught with the direct learning model get an average score of 65.15.  This shows that learning using the cooperative model type CORE has an influence on the mathematical communication skills of students of class VIII SMPN 2 Kediri in academic year.

This study aims to determine the differences in mathematical communication skills of students in the material opportunities by using PBL and CTL learning models in class X of the Al-Istiqomah Private Vocational School in the Regency of Java. This type of research is semi-experimental. The population in this study were all students of class X of Private Al-Istiqomah Vocational School, Regency of Java. The research sample was 2 classes. The results of the research obtained F_count> F table which is 15.31> 3.99, so to test the hypothesis it can be concluded that rejecting H0 means thank Ha, there are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using problem based learning models with students taught using Contextual Teaching learning models Lerning. There are differences in mathematical communication skills of students taught using a problem-based learning model compared to students who are taught using the 9% Contextual Teaching Lerning learning model

This study aims to analyze: (1) the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model is higher compared to the Direct learning model; (2) PPKn learning outcomes of students who have high social skills are higher than students who have low social skills (3) interactions between contextual teaching and learning models and social skills in influencing PPKn learning outcomes of grade 4 students. Research in the form of Quasi-Experimental Design with factorial 2x2. The instruments used are PPKn learning results test and Social Skills instrument. Data analysis using two-lane anava. The results showed: (1) There is an influence of Contextual Teaching and Learning Model on the learning outcomes of PPKn students in grade IV SD Negeri 101788 Marindal I; (2) PPKn learning outcomes of students who have high social skills are higher than students who have low social skills; (3) There is an interaction between contextual teaching and learning models and social skills towards the learning outcomes of PPKn Siswa at SD Negeri 101788 Marindal I.

The purpose of this study was to increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance mate-rial through the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model for class VI students of SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two findings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question in-strument (written test). The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 66,67% in the first cycle and increased to 83,33% in the second cycle. The application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model can increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance material of class VI SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year

This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical communication ability of students taught by the gallery walk type cooperative learning model is higher than the mathematical communication skills of students taught by conventional learning models (2) student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to communication skills. mathematics students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample is class VII-2 as the experimental class and class VII-1 as the control class. Data collection using a mathematical communication ability test sheet.The results showed (1) t_(count )= 3.56 and t_(table )= 1.67 or) t_(count ) > t_(table ) so that it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills are taught by cooperative learning model type gallery walk is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who are taught by conventional learning models. (2) Based on the results of student responses, an average score of 3.55 was obtained so that it can be concluded that student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan students were very positive.

<p>This study aims to improve the learning outcomes long jump style bouncy on grade VIII students SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat karanganyar academic year 2016/2017.<br />This research is a quasi experiment research (PEK). This research uses Pretest-postest Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study are Class VIII E and VIII F SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 64. Class VIII E consists of 32 students using the conventional strategy (Direct Instruction), while class VIII F consists of 32 students using Contextual Teaching and Learning strategy. Techniques used to collect test and observation data.<br />The result of the research is as follows. There is influence of learning long jump learning with bouncy style using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy compared with conventional direct instruction learning in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017. In the descriptive analysis of the mean mean total long jump results, the force style using Pretest Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy 64.31 with 9 students (28.13%) reached KKM while 23 students (71.88%) did not achieve KKM and increased to 79,31 at posttest value with 7 students (21,88%) did not reach KKM and 25 students (78,13%) can reach KKM while with conventional learning is from pretest 62,41 with 8 students (25% ) Students can reach KKM while 24 (75%) students do not reach KKM and increase to 76,16 in posttest value with 9 student (28,13%) not reach KKM and 23 student (71,88%) student can reach completeness criterion Minimal. In the inferential analysis, it was concluded that, students studying with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy, the better result of learning 3.156 (without covariate) and 2.686 (with covariate).</p>

Students’ low mathematical communication skill is influenced by several factors such as learning models applied by teachers in the classroom and the students’ learning motivation. Advanced organizer Model is appropriate to improve the students’ low ability. This study aims to determine whether: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward the mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward the students’ mathematical communication skill, and; (3) there is an interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication skill. This research employs quasi-experimental design and the statistical analysis used is the two-ways variance with unequal cells. The result of this research shows that: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward students’ mathematical communication skill, and ; (3) there is no interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication ability.

This study aims to find out (1) the POGIL learning model effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are effective against mathematical communication skills. (3) the difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills. This research is quasi-experimental research with the research design of The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of grade VII MTS Negeri 02 Kerinci. This study's sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class selected by a random sampling cluster. The research instrument is a test f mathematical communication ability, and the data is analyzed using one-sample t-test statistics and independent t-test samples. This study shows that (1) the POGIL learning model is effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are ineffective against mathematical communication skills. (3) there is a difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills.

This research did from the low ability phenomena of mathematical communication of SMP in Purwakarta. The low skill ability of mathematical communication can be seen from the lack of students in completing the test of mathematical communication form to provided in the first research, the purpose of this research was to examined the improvement of CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) skill with traditional learning and the methodology of this research using quasi-experimental method which consist of two classes. The first is experiment class treated using CTL and the second is control class treated traditional learning. The population of the research taken was students of SMP Negeri 1 Babakan Cikao and a randomly selected sample of consist of 30 students of class VII A as the experiment. Class and 30 students of class VII D as control class. The instrument of this research used 6 items about mathematical communication description form, that has been tested the validity, reliability and distinguish of power form indexed difficulty. Based on the result of data analysis have concluded that the improvement of mathematical communication ability in SMP Negeri 1 Babakan Cikao by using CTL approach is better than traditional learning.
