<p>This paper was made from my master thesis entitled "Perception about self-defense and women self-defense training". The study was conducted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The main objective of the research was a comparison of the strategies which self-defense trained and untrained girls used to attempt for their self-protection in order to reduce the risk of violence. The study finds out the effectiveness of self-defense training towards women’s self-protection. Non random sampling technique was used to select the sample. The study used statistical techniques of analysis. The study constitute 120 respondents falling in the age range- range 18-30 years.</p> <p>The findings support the hypothesis that women who take self-defense training are better equipped with physical and mental skills which allows her to defend herself from assailant than a woman who did not have training. Self-defense training, increased confidence, self-efficiency in women and reduce the chances of victimization.</p><br>

Pendahuluan: Usia produktif dengan rentang usia dari 18-45 tahun, merupakan usia dimana manusia sudah matang secara fisik dan biologis. Tidak sedikit masyrakat dengan usia produktif yang sudah merasakan beberapa gejala adanya penyakit degeneratif yaitu contohnya penyakit asam urat. Penyakit asam urat adalah jenis arthiritis yang sangat menyakitkan yang disebabkan oleh penumpukan kristal persendian. Tujuan Penelitian mengetahui faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi kadar asam urat darah pada usia produktif di Desa Nongan, Kabupaten Karangasem. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah korelasional dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 58 responden dengan Non- probability sample yaitu dengan Random sampling. Hasil: Hasil  analisis statistik dengan menggunakan rank spearman menunjukan bahwa dari 4 variabel yaitu makanan dengan p value = 0,000, aktifitas fisik dengan p value = 0,001, tingkat pengetahuan dengan p value = 0,000, jenis kelamin dengan p value = 0,000 lebih kecil dari pada 0,05 maka ada hubungan yang bermakna antara makanan, tingkat pengetahuan, aktifitas fisik, jenis kelamin dengan Kadar Asam Urat pada Usia Produktif di Desa Nongan.   Kata Kunci: asam urat, usia produktif   ABSTRACT Introduction: Productive age with age range from 18-45 years old, is the age which is human are mature physically and biologidally. Not afew peoples with productive age who al ready feel some sign of degenative disease for example uric acid disease. Uric acid disease is the arthritis type that very painfull uaused by cumulation of crystal joint. The purpose of this study to know factors that influence blood uric acid levels in productive age at Nongan village, Kabupaten Karangasem. Method: The type of this study is cross – sectional. The amount sample of this study is 58 respondents with Non –probability sample thatis Random sampling technique. Result: Statistical analysis results using rank spearman show that from 4 variables that is food with p value = 0,000 , physical activity with p value = 0,001, knowledge levels with p value = 0,000 , gender with p value = 0,000 smaller than 0,05 so there is a meaning ful correlation between food, knowledge levels, physical activity, gender with Uric acid levels in productive age at Nongan village.   Keywords: uric acid, productive age

<p>The major trust of this study was to examine the academic achievement of pahari students in<br />relation to their mental health. The present study was carried-out on sample of 200 pahari<br />students selected from 6 secondary schools of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir through<br />stratified random sampling technique. Mental health scale developed by Dr. Mercy Abraham and Dr. K.C. Baby Prasanna was used to collect required information, while the total marks obtained by the students in the previous class were used as an achievement criterion. Two statistical techniques like Pearson’s product moment method and ‘t’ test were used to analyze the data. The study shows that there is a positive correlation between academic achievement and mental health of students. The result of the study further revealed significant differences between boys and girls as well as rural and urban students in regard to their mental health. On the basis of these findings some suggestions both for practice and further studies have been put forward by the author.</p>

This article examined the impact of Organization Justice on employees’ performance in cantonment board Peshawar. The study was conducted using 150 employees as a sample and applied stratified random sampling technique. Statistical techniques i.e reliability analysis, Factor analysis, correlation and Regression applied. The results were obtained using correlation regression to know the direction, association and impact of variables and the effects organization justice on employee’s performance. The results found that Organization Justice affects the employee’s performance positively Therefore it is suggested that CBP should exercise such justice in the organization which will inculcate more confidence in the employees. All the hypotheses developed for this study has been proved through the analysis of this research study

AbstracThis research aims to determine the influence of the use of audio visual media on the outcome of PAK grade XII students SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar learning year 2019/2020. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence on the use of audio visual media on the outcome of PAK grade XII students SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar Year learning 2019/2020.This research is a correlational study using the descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The population is the entire grade XII student of SMA Negeri 1 at the 2019/2020 Christian Protestant learning year, amounting to 358 people. Sampling using the Random Sampling technique of 12% of the population is 40 people. This research instrument is a closed poll for variable X and test for variable Y. This research is a correlational study using the descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The population is the entire grade XII student of SMA Negeri 1 at the 2019/2020 Christian Protestant learning year, amounting to 358 people. The present study intended to find out the level of Social Intelligence and Achievement in Science among Higher Secondary School Students. This study belongs to Survey Method. The size of the sample in the study was 300 Higher Secondary School Students who were selected through Random Sampling Technique. The investigators had used Social Intelligence Scale developed by Baskaran. P and Anandan. K (2011) and Achievement Test in Science (ATS) developed by the Investigators. The Statistical techniques used in this study were Mean, Standard deviation, t’ test and Correlation to analyse the data. It was inferred that there is significant relationship between Social Intelligence and Achievement in science among selected High School Students.

This study aims to determine the level ofaddiction game in students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The population of the study was all students of SMP N 25 in Padang City, amounting to 739 people, a sample of 266 people selected using the stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.870 (addiction game). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study show (1)addiction game to students is generally in the high category, (2) the implementation of guidance and counseling can be designed guidance and counseling service programs to reduce the level of game addiction to students.

Research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between the pedagogic competence by PAK teacher on the cognitive realm of grade X students SMK Negeri 1 Pangaribuan year of learning 2019/2020.This research is a correlational study using the descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The population is the entire class of X S MK Negeri 1 Pangaribuan, a Christian Protestant number of 144 people. Sampling using the Random Sampling technique of 25% of the population is 36 people. The research instrument is a closed poll. Analysis result of value of Rxy = 0,548 Rtabel = 0,329 and Thitung = 3,820 Ttabel = 2,042 indicates that there is a relationship between pedagogic competence by Guru PAK to the cognitive realm of grade X students SMK Negeri 1 year of learning 2019/2020 and obtaining a sense of simple regression equation is.Hypothesis Test Obtained fcount = 14,682 Ftabel = 2.09 then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. This research concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between the pedagogic competence by PAK teacher on the cognitive realm of grade X students SMK Negeri 1 Pangaribuan year of learning 2019/2020 of 30.03%. In connection with the results of this study, the authors provide input materials for PAK teachers to improve the cognitive realm of students.. Keyword: pedagogic competence by PAK Guru, student cognitive realm.

In this study random sampling technique was used in which total samples of 186 were collected out of which 72 were boys and 114 were girls with the age range of 13 to 18 years. All these participants were administered P.G.I. Health Questionnaire developed by Verma, Wig and Prasad (1978) and Bell Adjustment Inventory developed by Mohsin and Shamshad (1968) to find out healthy students and unhealthy students. The purpose of the study is to compare boys and girls on Bell Adjustment Inventory to find out any significant difference in home adjustment, health adjustment, social adjustment, emotional adjustment and overall adjustment. Another purpose is to compare healthy group and unhealthy group on Bell Adjustment Inventory to find out any significant difference in home adjustment, health adjustment, social adjustment, emotional adjustment and overall adjustment. The result found no significant between boys and girls in the domains of Bell Adjustment Inventory: home adjustment, health adjustment, social adjustment, emotional adjustment and overall adjustment. Where as the result found significant in comparison between healthy students and unhealthy students in all the domains of Bell Adjustment Inventory: home adjustment, health adjustment, social adjustment, emotional adjustment and overall adjustment which signifies that healthy students were adjusted well in all the domains of Bell Adjustment Inventory mentioned above.

The study was aimed to analyze the relationship of co-curricular activities with students’ physical and mental health of Male Secondary School students of FATA. A sample size of 200 respondents was selected on the basis of random sampling technique. A questionnaire of five points Likert Scale after seeking due permission from Principals and Head Masters was used to reach to the in-depth of the phenomena. Statistical techniques Mean, Percentage and Standard Deviation were run to analyze the collected data. The researcher analyzed the relationship between co-curricular involvement and its positive impacts on students’ health performances. Finally it was determined that co-curricular activities have a long-lasting connection with physical and mental health of secondary schools students.
