The major trust of this study was to examine the academic achievement of pahari students in
relation to their mental health. The present study was carried-out on sample of 200 pahari
students selected from 6 secondary schools of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir through
stratified random sampling technique. Mental health scale developed by Dr. Mercy Abraham and Dr. K.C. Baby Prasanna was used to collect required information, while the total marks obtained by the students in the previous class were used as an achievement criterion. Two statistical techniques like Pearson’s product moment method and ‘t’ test were used to analyze the data. The study shows that there is a positive correlation between academic achievement and mental health of students. The result of the study further revealed significant differences between boys and girls as well as rural and urban students in regard to their mental health. On the basis of these findings some suggestions both for practice and further studies have been put forward by the author.

The researcher selected 185 secondary school teachers and 45 head teachers through a proportionate stratified random sampling technique as a sample. A questionnaire for teachers and headteachers was used as a research instrument in this study. Data were collected through personal visits and postal service. Data were analyzed through mean scores and standard deviation. Based on analysis it was found that inclusive education provides an opportunity for the enjoyment and implementation of full human rights without any discrimination because inclusive education allows understanding individual differences. It is recommended that the school Education Department of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) may introduce inclusive education at the district and tehsil level. Study habit (attending lectures, reading books, visiting library, and facing examination) plays an important role in determining academic achievement. The objectives of this study were to analyze the correlation between study habits and academic achievement and analyze the indicators that were most significantly correlated with students’ academic achievement. The study was conducted at the Biology Department of FMIPA UNNES in February - March 2018. The sample of respondents consisted of students of the Biology Department of academic years 2014, 2015 and 2016. A total of 308 students were taken as the sample using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data was taken using a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using the path analysis method assisted by SmartPLS. The results of the data analysis showed that the indicators of study habit have a significant correlation to the students’ academic achievement of Biology Department. The correlation coefficient values of study habit indicators from high to low were reading books, attending lectures, facing exams, and visiting the library. This study showed that the habit of reading books had the most significant correlation. It is suggested to conduct the experimental research which is related to the effectiveness of reading habit.

Personality is a special characteristic possessed by a person that reflects his attitude and behavior. Personality can affect the level of academic achievement. This study employed a correlational design with 234 students of Faculty of Nursing, University of North Sumatra as samples. This study aimed to determine the relationship between personality and academic achievement. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The results of the Chi-square test determined that there was a relationship between personality trait as independent variable and academic achievement index as dependent variable with p-value of 0.043. Then, a nonparametric spearman’s rho test was conducted and produced correlation relationship strength of the personality variable to the achievement index of 0.050. It is suggested that next research should consider other variables that might affect academic achievement such as interest, motivation, lecturer teaching styles, and environment.
