The problem statements of this research were what dictions used in English Speaking by the students of Educational Study Program of DayanuIkhsanuddin University and what are likely to cause the diction used in English Speaking by the students of Educational Study Program of Dayanu Ikhsanuddin University. This research applied a qualitative research, categorized as a case study. Two kinds of instruments of collecting data were used; observation and interview. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three steps inner activities analysis; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of the research were the students had wrong dictions. The wrong case such as waste phrase, meaningless, out of part of speech, blur meaning, doesn’t fit in a sentence, and others. The students had wrong dictions because they did not know that is wrong, did not realize it wrong word and still cannot separated from Indonesia form.

Students’ Problem in Speaking English at Second Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Siompu Barat, La Mido, FKIP Unidayan Baubau. This research aims to investigate the problems of speaking English at the second grade of SMA Negeri 1 Siompu Barat. This research applied a qualitative research, categorized as a case study. Two kinds of instruments of collecting data were used; observation and interview. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three steps inner activities analysis; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research showed that there are two problems of speaking English at the second grade of SMA Negeri 1 Siompu Barat, consist of psychological and language problems. The psychological problems were fear of mistake, shyness, anxiety, lack of confidence, and motivation. Meanwhile, the students’ speaking problem from language use were inhibition, nothing to say, low or even participation and mother tongue use. It can be concluded that there were some problems of speaking English at the second grade of SMA Negeri 1 Siompu Barat.

The recent research is related to the cultural hegemony which is contained within the novel Merpati Kembar di Lombok written by Nuriadi. The problems to be studied are the form of cultural hegemony which is contained within the novel Merpati Kembar di Lombok written by Nuriadi. Then the objectives of this research are describing the form of cultural hegemony. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Documentary method and note-taking technique are applied during data collection. Meanwhile, data analysis is conducted by applying the theory of hegemony proposed by Antonio Gramsci with several steps to follow such as data identification, data reduction, data analysis, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Then, the results of data analysis are: the form of cultural hegemony committed by the noble group/society within the novel Merpati Kembar di Lombok is categorized into two levels namely declining hegemony and minimum hegemony.

The purpose of this research is to acknowledge the utilization of Yayasan Dana Sosial Al Falah’s (YDSF) infaq funds and inmates empowerment at Medaeng Correctional Facility. The motive behind this research is the phenomenon of inmates empowerment in Medaeng Correctional Facility that is done by YDSF by utilizing infaq funds. Empowerment is purposed to develop inmates to become a better person in behavior, spiritual, and social connection. This is a qualitative research. The approach of this research is using case study method. Informants in this research is YDSF, correctional facility staffs, and inmates. Data gathering technique is done by data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. Findings in this research show that infaq utilization affect da’wah aspect which is inmates empowerment in Medaeng correctional facility. This is not only develops inmates to become a better person, but also their spirituality and religion activity so when they done their time, they’ll be easily accepted by the people.Keywords: infaq, Empowerment, Development

Abstract. This studi aimed to investigate the form of persuasive text written by eight grade students of MTs Darussalam Deru, Sumberrejo, Indonesia in discovery learning. This study was qualitative research in form of case study with 28 students as the research subjects. Four students were chosen to be interviewed because the persuasive text was in line with the indicators. Techniques of collecting data were observation, test method, interview, and documentation. The data was validated by using triangulations of data sources and method. Technique in analysing data was content analysis that was started from 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, 3) drawing conclusion and verification. The results of this study showed that the structure of persuasive text written by the eight grade students of MTs Darussalam Deru, Sumberrejo, Indonesia had been referred to the structure that was well appropriated to the theory of Kosasih. The conclusion of this study showed that the discovery learning by using a wrapped media was appropriate to be implemented. It could train the students in improving their cognitive skills and curiosities. Keywords: Persuasive text, discovery learning, wrapped media Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk teks persuasi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII MTs. Darussalam Deru, Sumberrejo, Bojonegoro, Indonesia pada pembelajaran discovery learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan jumlah subjek 28 siswa. Dari 28 siswa kemudian peneliti mengambil 4 siswa untuk diwawancarai dengan alasan teks persuasi sesuai dengan indikator. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, metode tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.  Data divalidasi dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi metode. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode content analysis yang dimulai dari 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, 3) penarikan simpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur teks persuasi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII MTs. Darussalam Deru, Sumberrejo, Bojonegoro, Indonesia sudah mengacu pada struktur teks persuasi sesuai dengan teori Kosasih dengan baik. Simpulan pada penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media kemasan kudapan sangat tepat diterapkan pada pembelajaran. Pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media kemasan kudapan dapat melatih siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif dan mengembangkan rasa ingin tahu siswa. Kata kunci: Teks persuasi, discovery learning, kemasan kudapan

This study aims to determine the empowerment of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) in Yayasan Dana Sosial Al-Falah (YDSF) in Surabaya. The research was motivated by a crisis of leadership in the present, which is why it is necessary to have education of Islamic leadership early in student age. The education to prepare a leader is not cheap, and therefore it needs a solution in a way of help of zakat organizations. This is a qualitative research by case study strategy. The data collection was taken by doing data reduction, data presentation, andconclusion. The research results show that the empowerment of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah has an impact on the field of education with the establishment of RK program. RK does not only educate the participants to become candidates for leader, but also prepare them into Quran generation that is supported by a variety of activities and sharia-based leadership

The purpose of this study is to describe the dynamics of the career development on each stage, starting from growth, exploration and establishment in Batik makers of Giriloyo. This study employs case study qualitative research methods, and involves three women who worked as batik maker. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. From this research it is revealed that participants did not fulfill the developmental tasks at all three stages as a whole and they went through stages of career development sequences and period that is differed from the established theory of career development. It is also revealed that the participants experienced dissatisfaction with the wages. However, in the other hand they felt proud to be able to take part on their community and wishes to continue to make batik as long as they are physically able. The results of the study led researchers to recommend early career recognition by families, schools and communities.

Data collection is interactive with data analysis, data collection is an integral part of data analysis activities. Data reduction is an attempt to deduce data, then sorting through data in certain conceptual units, certain categories, and certain themes. Data reduction results are processed in such a way as to look more fully in their figure. It may take the form of sketches, synopsis, matrices, and other forms; it is very necessary to facilitate the explanation and affirmation of conclusions. The process, not once, but interacts back and forth. The process of occurrence in qualitative research is very dependent on the complexity of the problems to be answered and the sharpness of the researchers' traceability in making comparisons during the data collection process. How can the data analysis process be operated? This paper will attempt to answer and describe the parts (1) understanding the meaning of data analysis, (2) analysis when collecting data; (3) data reduction; (4) data presentation; (5) drawing conclusions and verification.

This study aims at describing the process of word-formation used on messaging applications found in the Play Store. This is descriptive qualitative research. The data are messaging applications written in English and in the form of words. To collect the data, the researchers use observation. The analysis data consists of three steps namely data reduction, data display, and verification. There are 56 data found. There are 6 types of word formations; Affixation (4 data), compounding (15 data), blending (4 data), coinage (8 data), clipping (4 data), reduplication (1 data). However, there are 20 messaging applications that cannot be classified into the type of word formation such as Path, Line, Lemon, etc. They are simple words that have already existed in English and have been used in everyday communication. Meanwhile, nowadays they are used as a name of messaging applications and have different meanings as the real meaning. The suffixes used in the affixation process are –er, -ous, -ster. There are 6 formations of compounding used in the messaging application such as N+N, V+V, N+V, V+N, Adv. + Prep. There are 3 ways of blending process such as taking the whole part of the first word and taking the first syllable of the second, taking the first syllable of the first word and taking the whole part of the second word, taking two syllables from the front part of the first word and taking the last syllable of the second word. Coinage consists of the name of the company and the name of the product. There are two types of clipping found namely fore-clipping and back-clipping. Reduplication happens when there is a copying of the partial part of the word. Apparently, there are morphological processes used in life such as word formation to name the messaging application.

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan: 1) Modelpembinaan anak jalanan di Pondok Pesantren, 2) Kendala-kendala yang terjadi dalam pembinaan anak jalanan, 3) Mengatasi kendala yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun metode analisis datanya melalui: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menjelaskan bahwa: 1) Pembinaan yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Sabilul Hikmah ini adalah pendekatan secara personal sosial dimana pengurus pondok pesantren harus berinteraksi sosial secara anak per anak agar tahu apa yang sebenarnya diinginkan oleh masing-masing anak serta pembinaan dengan pendekatan secara agama (religius), 2) Kendala yang paling menonjol adalah sulitnya masa peralihan anak-anak yang semula hidup bebas dijalanan dan kemudian hidup di lingkungan pondok pesantren serta kurangnya dana operasional untuk mencukupi kebutuhan sehari-hari para santri, 3) Mengatasi anak yang susah diatur adalah dengan membuat anak - anak tersebeut merasa nyaman maka itulah guna dari pembinaan melalui pendekatan personal sosial,sedangkan kendala dari keuangan adalah bagaimana pendiri Pondok Pesantren menggunakan uang pribadi dalam mencukupi kebutuhan sehari-hari para santri.Kata Kunci : Model Pembinaan, Anak Jalanan, Personal sosial dan religi.ABSTRACTThe research objective is to understand and describe: 1) The mentoring model for street children at Islamic Boarding School, 2) The problems in mentoring for street children, and 3) The solution for solving the problems. This research applied the descriptive qualitative research. The techniques for data collection were observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis data started from data collection, data reduction, result of research and conclusion. The result of this research showed that: 1) The mentoring which was done by Salafiyah Sabilul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School was a personal and social approach where Islamic boarding school staffs should make an social interaction to eachof street children so they could understand their real needs, 2) the most problem which faced by street children was the difficulties on their adaptation from the life street to Islamic boarding school which did not have a good financial to support all their daily needs, and 3) To mentor the street childern who could not be taught easily was by making them feelmore comfortable so it aligned with the goal of a personal and social approach, and to cover the lack of financial on the student’s daily needs was by using the staff’s personal money.Keywords: Mentoring Model, Street Children, Personal and social approach, and religion.

This study aims to describe the fuction of extracurricular art of dance for students of SD Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu. Type of qualitative research and descriptive naturalistic research method.the subject of this research is the extracurricular coach of dance art and the student of extracurricular activities of dance art. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation (data display), data verification(coclusion drawing/verification) and withdrawal of conclusion (verification data). Testing the validity of the data using persistence of observation, membercheck and triangulation. The result of the research show the extracurricular function of dance which includes 1) development fuction, 2) sosialfuction, 3) rekreativefuction, the three fuctions have been done, but there are some indicators in the function of extracurricular art of dance that has not been done, that is development function in indicator the formation in indicator the formation of the character of discipline. In this indicator the formation of the character of students who follow extracurricular activities of dance art came too late because before the extracurricularschedule of dance art there are students who are still in the canteen and rest. Therefore, there should be a break between classroom hygiene activities and extracurricular activities of dance, so that the indicators of character building discipline are done.
