The Julungan ceremony is a village clean tradition which is held every 7 months by the community in Kalisoro Village, Tawangmangu District. The purpose of this study aims to describe the Julungan ceremony as a village clean tradition in Kalisoro Village, Tawangmangu Subdistrict in terms of cultural values. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with terminology method and content analysis. The results of this study can be concluded that the Julungan Ceremony is a traditional ceremony of clean village and earth alms carried out in Kalisoro Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. The Julungan ceremony is held every Kliwon Tuesday at Wuku Juluwangi on the Javanese calendar which is followed by the Kaliroso villagers. Cultural values can be seen from the Julungan ceremony procession. Julungan as a ceremony that describes an expression of gratitude to God is marked by continuing to commemorate and continue to preserve. This research can be used as a knowledge to the Karanganyar community that the Julungan ceremony is a traditional ceremony for generations that must be preserved and maintained by the community by following the procession in the Julungan ceremony.

Literary works, such as novel, usually comes from the writer’s feeling; it could be the feeling of love, frustrations, angers, satisfactions, disappointments, satire, and many other feelings towards an individual, social, organizations, even the government. A novel could also be some kind of warning towards the readers so that they could be cautious if there are any similar events happen in their real life. The main objective of this research explains the American manipulative leadership and the American cultural values seen in Ender’s Game and to analyze the effect of American Manipulative Leadership towards its Subordinate shows by Ender’s Game. The researcher uses the qualitative method to analyze the primary data and the supporting data using content analysis to interpret the images, symbols, and words.    This undergraduate thesis concludes two major points. Firstly, American manipulative leadership uses two values; which are risk-taking and the future, change, and progress and forgotten two other values, directness/openness/honesty and freedom of American Cultural values. Secondly, American manipulative leaderships also affect the subordinate psychological condition. And novel can also be called as a popular culture due to its enormous achievement and its consumption by the mass.

Abstract: The current study entitled “A Morphological Analysis of Slang Words Used by Characters In Ralph Breaks the Internet Movie” aimed to investigate the morphological processes of constructing slang words and its meaning of the  found slang words used by the movie characters. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis design. The findings revealed that there are 42 slang words categorized into different morphological processes included compound (14,28%), clipping (11,90%), blending (14,28%), affixations (16,66%), reduplicative (7,14%), backformation (2,4%), abbreviation (2,4%), conversion (4,76%), alternation (14,28%), extension (4,76%) and word manufacture (7,14%). This study demonstrated the meaning changes of the slang words that have been affected through certain morphological processes by modifying their word category. Consequently, some slang terms have preserved the original meaning despite the changes in their spelling. In the meantime, certain slang words get abbreviated or shortened and retained their original meaning. Meanwhile, some slang words change their meaning by deriving their word category. Besides, there were certain slang words that change their meaning depending on word usage.Key words: morphology, Ralph Breaks the Internet, slangAbstrak. Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Morfologi Kata-kata Slang yang Digunakan oleh karakter dalam Film ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’” bertujuan untuk menelaah proses morfologi dalam membangun kata-kata slang dan maknanya yang digunakan dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain analisis isi. Data temuan menunjukkan  42 kata slang yang dikategorikan ke dalam proses morfologi yang berbeda, yaitu ‘compound’ (14,28%), ‘clipping’ (11,90%), ‘blending’ (14,28%). , ‘affixations’ (16,66%), ‘reduplicative’ (7,14%), ‘backformation’ (2,4%), ‘abbreviation’ (2,4%), ‘conversion’ (4,76%), ‘alternation’ (14,28%), ‘extension’ (4,76%) dan ‘word manufacture’ (7,14%). Studi ini mendemonstrasikan perubahan makna dari kata-kata slang yang telah dipengaruhi proses morfologi tertentu dengan memodifikasi kategori kata asal. Hasilnya beberapa istilah dalam kata slang tetap mempertahankan makna aslinya meskipun ejaannya berubah. Sementara itu, kata-kata slang tertentu disingkat dan tetap mempertahankan arti aslinya. Beberapa kata slang lainnya berubah makna dengan mengubah kategori katanya. The research aims to describe and to analyze the forms of code-mixing used by Boy William on Vlog #Dibalikpintu. This study was a descriptive qualitative method and human research is the main instrument of this study. In collecting the data, this study utilized observation and documentation methods. This study employed content analysis which focused on analyzing the forms of code-mixing which were defined by Suwito (1983). The result of this study: In the word form, there are 19 data found, (15 nouns, 2 verbs, 1 adjective, 1 question word). In the phrase form, there are 19 data found, (17 noun phrases, 2 adjective phrases). In the baster form, there are 5 data found, (1 noun as a form of gerund suffixation, 3 noun suffixation, 1 verb suffixation). In the word reduplication form, there are 2 data found, (1 noun, 1 compound noun). In the idiom form, there are 2 data found, (1 formal idiom, 1 informal idiom). In the clause form, there are 25 data found, (8 noun clauses, 14 verb clauses, 3 adjective clauses).

Abstract The objective of this research is to acquire deep understanding of the "Kasrah Hamzah Inna"  on Alquran Alkareem Albaqarah and Alqashas Epistles,  which consist of 149 verses. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative  method using content analysis of the verses of quran.  The result showed that there are 97 % the "Kasrah" was compulsory, and 3% was uncompulsory. The most verses appear with "Inna" is in the beginning of the kalimah, and after the verb "Qaul" . The 97% of  kasratu inna is a compulsory ,its  divided into five: 1. At the beginning of the sentence amounted to 80 (54%) (and it is divided into 5; a.hakikat it was 13 (16%), b,hokum it was  3 (4%), c.ibtidaiyah it was  12 (15%), d. isti'nafiyyah it was 12 (15%), e. ta'liliyyah  40 (50%)). 2. After the Conjunction it was 1 (1%). 3. After the answer of  oath sentence  it was  1 (1%). 4. After the words amounted to 31 (21%). After the sentence torch circumstances it was  5 (4%). Meanwhile, the position of non compulsory kasratu Hamzah inna was founden  after faa aljazaa,  only 5 times (3%). The results show  that many types of kasrah hamzah inna was founded in  albaqarah and alqashas.

This article aims to discuss the destructive nature of Indonesian language through Instagram social media. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis approach. Use data in the form of captions from uploading Instagram accounts @ young_lex18. The mix between Indonesian and foreign languages is the main highlight of the caption from account @ young_lex18. Using Indonesian and foreign languages in one sentence that does not comply with the writing rules can cause the existence of Indonesian to fade away. Caption is used to clarify content in uploads or express what is felt. The language used is in accordance with what is felt, so the writing rules are not cared.

MAKNA SIMBOLIK RITUAL AMONG TEBAL DALAM NOVEL GENDUK KARYA SUNDARI MARDJUKI AbstractThis study aims to describe the symbolic meanings of among tebal ritual and the description of attitude of life of the tobacco farmers on the slopes of Sindoro in novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki. This research uses descriptive qualitative method which put forward on content analysis with in-depth reading on the novel. The problem in this research is the symbolic meaning of among tebal ritual and the description of the attitude of life of the tobacco farmers on the slopes of Sindoro which is reflected from among tebal ritual in the novel Genduk. The data of this research are all symbolic expressions in among tebal ritual and all words and sentences that describe the attitude of life of the tobacco farmers on the slopes of Sindoro in the novel Genduk. Result this research can describe the symbolic meaning of among tebal ritual which consists of symbolic meaning of ritual offerings that are white, yellow, red, and black tumpeng which symbolize the four elements in human beings that cannot be separated and jajan pasar that symbolize human character in this world is different. Prayer in rituals has a high expectation for tobacco plants to be planted to grow fertile with good harvest. The symbolic meaning of the procession of among tebal ritual is the togetherness that is in the society of tobacco farmers on the slopes of Sindoro. This study describes the attitude of life of the tobacco farmers on the slopes of Mount Sindoro which reflected from among tebal.Keywords: among tebal, attitude of life, symbolic meanings, tobacco farmers AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan makna simbolik ritual among tebal dan deskripsi sikap hidup petani tembakau di lereng sindoro dalam novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang lebih mengedepankan pada analisis konten (isi) dengan pembacaan mendalam pada novel. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah makna simbolik dari ritual among tebal serta deskripsi sikap hidup petani tembakau di lereng sindoro yang tercermin dari ritual among tebal dalam novel Genduk. Data penelitian ini berupa semua ungkapan simbolis pada ritual among tebal serta semua kata dan kalimat yang mendeskripsikan sikap hidup petani tembakau di lereng Sindoro dalam novel Genduk. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan makna simbolik ritual among tebal yang terdiri atas makna simbolik sesaji ritual yaitu tumpeng putih, kuning, merah, dan hitam yang melambangkan keempat unsur dalam diri manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan serta jajanan pasar yang melambangkan karakter manusia di dunia ini tidak ada yang sama. Doa dalam ritual memiliki makna pengharapan tinggi untuk tanaman tembakau yang akan ditanam dapat tumbuh subur dan panennya bagus. Makna simbolik prosesi ritual among tebal yaitu kebersamaan yang terjalin di masyarakat petani tembakau lereng Sindoro. This article aims to reveal philosophy level from axiology (use) of literature in the society of Minangkabau’s superstition viewed from cultural manifestation. This research is a content analysis researh using descriptive qualitative method. The research was done in 10 places in Luhak Kubuang Tigo Baleh Minangkabau namely Salayo, Cupak, Gantuang Ciri, Guguak, Koto Anau, Muara Paneh, Kota Solok, Talang, Panyangkalan, dan Kinari.The data in this research is the statements of superstition in KubuangTigoBaleh society which is obtained from observation and indepth interview withpenghulu, cerdik pandai, and alim ulama. In analyzing the data, the research usedMiles danHubeman’s modelsthrough three steps (1) data reduction, (2) data display and (3) conclusion. Based on the findings it can be concluded that There are four patterns of superstition, namely negative, positive, prediction and witchcraft pattern. Moreover, in the process of pattern meaning the lofty ethic values are framed and considered as local wisdom of the Minangkabau society, especially in KubuangTigoBaleh which is appropriate, well-mannered, educated and existence acknowledged as a belief.

AbstrakDewasa ini pariwisata di Kota Bandung terus berkembang dan menunjukkan kontribusinya dalam menyejahterakan masyarakat. Kecenderungan perkembangan pariwisata sekarang ini tidak merujuk pada pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya Sunda, melainkan hanya terkonsentrasi pada industri ekonomi kreatif. Permasalahan ini tentunya dapat mengancam keberadaan pariwisata budaya di mana identitas budaya Sunda pada sektor pariwisata di Kota Bandung mulai ditinggalkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana dampak perkembangan pariwisata terhadap budaya Sunda di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Penulis berusaha mengembangkan konsep dan menghimpun fakta dengan cermat mengenai permasalahan eksistensi budaya Sunda. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari observasi, kajian dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa perkembangan pariwisata di Kota Bandung berdampak pada melunturnya pariwisata bernuansa nilai budaya Sunda. Eksistensi budaya Sunda sebagai nilai-nilai yang harus dilestarikan kian kurang dihormati pada sisi esensi sejarah. Hal ini ditandai ketika beberapa pagelaran Sunda tidak lagi menyentuh pemahaman pada nilai-niai yang terkandung pada budaya Sunda. Pagelaran hanya bersifat formalitas, seremonial, dan bermotif ekonomi. AbstractTourism in Bandung continues to grow today and show the contribution to the development of social welfare. However, the development of tourism in Bandung focused on the creative industries, while the Sundanese cultural values tend to be ignored. The main purpose of this research is to determine the impact of tourism development to Sundanese culture in Bandung. This research used descriptive qualitative method, that author are tried to develop concepts and gather facts about Sundanese culture in tourism. Data collection techniques in this research consisted of observation, documentation review, and interviews. The results of this research explains that the development of tourism in Bandung impacted to faded Sudanese cultural values in tourism. On the essence of history, the existence of Sundanese culture as values that should be preserved to be less respected. Indicators of declining respect to the Sundanese culture is the lack of understanding on cultural values which contained in a Sundanese arts performances. Sundanese arts performances just a formality, ceremonial and economically motivated.

The tradition called Minggon Jatinan is a tradition that held every Sunday by the citizens of Batang Regency in the place named Hutan Kota Rajawali. This tradition is a development of local culture that had a such way modification to interest the internal or external tourists. The tourists that come to Minggon Jatinan tradition will be treated of so many variants culinary and the caracteristic culture from Batang. The purpose of this research is to reveal the viewpoint from the community about the Minggon Jatinan tradition in Batang Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with terminology method and content analysis. The result of the research and the study show that minggon Jatinan tradition can increase the economy of Batang’s citizens that participate into the tradition. Moreover, Minggon Jatinan is an effort to conserve dan show off the local culture of Batang Regency into beyond the world. This research can be a knowledge for the citizens that the Minggon Jatinan tradition is a big prospect to develop the economy of Batang Regency and persuade the citizens to develop the tradition.
