EFFECT OF DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIPSTYLE, ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON LECTURERS’ PERFORMANCE

The purpose of this studywas to know how was the influence of democratic leadership style, organizational culture, and lecturers’ performance. How did the democratic leadership style affect lecturer performance. How did the organizational culture to affect the lecturers’ performance.This paper was based on the results of research conducted at STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong college whichwas domiciled in Pancor Selong Sub-district, Lombok Timur regencyof Nusa Tenggara Barat Province using survey method, taking samples from one population and using questionnaire as the instrument. Data collection technique was done through questionnaire with descriptive-verification design. The grain validity test is performed through empirical tests of instrument grains. The collecting data were analyzed using F-test and t-test. The results of testing hypothesis and data analysis showed that the democratic leadership style had a significantly influence on lecturers’ performance. Organizational culture had asignificant effect on lecturer’s performance.

How did the organizational culture affect organizational commitment, self-confidence, and lecturer performance. ABSTRACTIn the temporary observation the performance of employees in BPR was still low, less activities of service. As for example the credit administration did not only perform their own duties but also did the transfer, and there were still employees who came late and, there were employees who did not finish the job on time, some employees still looked relaxed in doing the job. So it could be concluded that the performance of employees in PD. BPR was still low. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the influence of compensation and organizational culture on employees' performance in PD. BPR Kuningan.This research used a quantitative approach and survey method. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Sample and population was employees in PD. BPR Kuningan, amounting to 89 people. Data collection used questionnaires. The validity test and reliability test of data collection were carried out, the results of instrument test stated that the instruments used in this study were valid and reliable. Multiple regression analysis was used to find out to what extent of influence among variables.The result of this research showed that: (1) both compensation and organizational culture had positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) compensation had positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) organizational culture had positive and significant effect to employees� performance.Compensation and organizational culture needed to be improved and maintained on the performance of employees so that the tasks and objectives of the agency could be achieved in accordance with expectations and achieve satisfactory results.�Keywords: Compensation, Organizational Culture, and Employees� Performance�ABSTRAKPada pengamatan sementara kinerja pegawai yang terjadi di BPR masih rendah dilihat, kurang berjalanya pelayanan. Seperti misalnya bagian administrasi kredit selain melakukan tugasnya sendiri juga merangkap bagian transfer, dan masih adanya pegawai yang datang terlambat serta, masih adanya pegawai yang dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaannya tidak tepat waktu, pegawai masih terlihat santai dalam mengerjakan pekerjaanya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja pegawai pada PD. BPR masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada PD. BPR Kuningan.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survey. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Sampel dan populasi yaitu pegawai pada PD. BPR Kuningan yang berjumlah 89 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang kemudian di uji validitas dan realibilitasnya, hasil uji intrumen menyatakan bahwa hasil intrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini valid dan reliabel. Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh antar variabel menggunakan analisis regresi berganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) kompensasi dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, (2) kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, (3) budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.Kompensasi dan budaya organisasi perlu ditingkatkan dan dipertahankan atas kinerja pegawainya agar tugas dan tujuan instansi tersebut dapat dicapai sesuai dengan harapan dan mencapai hasil yang memuaskan.�Kata kunci: Kompensasi, Budaya Organisasi, dan Kinerja Pegawai.

This research aims to determined the level of emotional quotient of  eleventh grade students in SMA Negeri 15 Palembang. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with survey method. Data collection technique used is a questionnaire consisting of five aspects, namely: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and fostering relationships. The population in this research were eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 15 Palembang which amounted to 244 people. The sample in this research amounted to 56 people selected by using a purposive sampling technique. The results of data analysis shows that 32 percent  students in eleventh grade had emotional quotient with a high category that was 65% while the category and 3% low category.

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the application of accounting information systems on the performance of IT division employees with organizational commitment as a variable intervening. This research was conducted at the Palembang State-Owned Bank consisting of Bank Negara Indonesia, Bank Republik Indonesia, Bank Tabungan Negara, and Bank Mandiri. The primary data collection technique was conducted by survey method distributing questionnaires. The population of this study were all employees of the Information Technology Division of the Palembang City State Bank, amounting to 56 people and the sample used was 56 people using a census that is all the population used as samples. Data Analysis using PLS is a part, as well as an alternative to SEM. From the results of calculations and analyzes carried out, the conclusion is that there is no influence between the application of accounting information systems to the performance of employees of the IT division of the state-owned Bank of Palembang.

This research aims to describe the headmaster’s leadership style at SD/MI (Primary School) Muhammadiyah in Banyumas Regency. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Subjects in this research are headmasters and teachers at SD/MI Muhammadiyah in Banyumas Regency, namely MI Muhammadiyah Wangon, SD Muhammadiyah Cipete, and MI Muhammadiyah Pasirmuncang. Data collection technique used in this research is interview. Data validity is checked using technique of source triangulation. The findings show that the leadership style implemented by headmasters at SD/MI Muhammadiyah in Banyumas Regency is a democratic leadership style. This is shown in the way the headmasters carry out their leadership function. For example, as a leader, the headmaster gives information, evaluation, motivation, and innovation for school development, runs situational and non-authoritarian leadership, behaves wisely, and gives directions, examples, as well as rewards. The headmaster always prioritizes a sense of unity and togetherness with the school community. The headmaster uses a strategy of getting close to the community. In dealing with problems, the headmaster solves them calmly and gracefully and discusses them in deliberations in accordance with the development of the problem, and after the decision the problem can be resolved properly. Moreover, the school principal is open to accepting opinions, criticisms and suggestions from staffs.

This study aims to examine the effect of auditor independence on leadership style and organizational culture on auditor performance with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. The data collection method in this study uses the questionnaire method by taking 102 respondents in the Public Accountant Firm in Pekanbaru, Padang and Medan. Data analysis is performed through path analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Auditor independence significantly influences organizational commitment, 2) Independence significantly influences auditor performance, 3) Organizational Commitment cannot be used as an intervening variable for the influence of Independence variable with Auditor Performance, 4) Organizational Commitment has a significant effect on performance auditor, 5) Leadership Style has a significant effect on Organizational Commitment, 6) Leadership Style has a significant effect on Auditor Performance, 7) Organizational Commitment is not able to be an intervening variable for the influence of Leadership Style variable on auditor performance, 8) organizational culture has a significant effect on Organizational Commitment, 9) organizational culture significantly influence Auditor Performance, 10) Organizational Commitment can be used as an intervening variable for the influence of organizational culture variables on auditor performance

The purpose of the research to: (1) describe the influence of emotional quotient toward students independence learning, (2) describe the influence of emotional quotient toward students comprehension of mathematics concept of Grade VII students in MTs. Ma'arif Darul Fattah Terpatih Galak Slahung Ponorogo. This research is quantitative researh was using survey method with population is all of student Grade VII in MTs. Ma'arif Darul Fattah with total of all student is 48 students. Then, students were choosed randomly for the sample with total 24 students. The data collection technique in this research are questionnaire and test, whereas the research instrument were using questionnaire of emotional quotient and independence learning also question test about comprehension of mathematics concept. The data analysis technique were using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with analysis of simple regresion which assisted by computer program SPSS Statistics 17.0 for Windows. The result of this reseach indicates that have an significant influence between emotional quotient toward independence learning. Whereas not have an significant influece between emotional quotient toward comprehension of mathematics.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect leadership style, motivation, and work environment for job satisfaction. The sampling method in this study use probability sampling. Sample in this research is 100 employee on PT. Niagamas Lestari Gemilang in Jakarta. Data collection technique is done by deviding quisioner. Data analysis technique used SmartPLS 3.0. The result of this study is leadership style, and work environment have significant positive effect on job satisfaction, and motivation have insignificant positive effect on job satisfaction. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, motivasi, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasaan kerja. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah probabilitas sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 karyawan PT. Niagamas Lesatari Gemilang yang berada di Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuisioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SmartPLS 3.0. hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan, dan lingkungan kerja mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasaan kerja, dan motivasi mempunyai pengaruh postif yang tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja.

This study aims to analyze the value of the density of marine debris, perceptions and participation in Temberan beach and Pasir Padi beach, as well as determine the relationship of perception and participation to the density of marine debris. This research is a type of research that is descriptive with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). The study was conducted at Temberan beach in Bangka Regency and Pasir Pasir Beach Pangkal Pinang in October 2019. The sampling technique used was random sampling and purposive sampling. The data collection technique was carried out using observation technique namely sampling and questionnaire. The validity test uses the Pearson Product Moment formula and the reliability test uses the Cronbach’s Alpha formula. The results showed that the density of debris in the Temberan beach was more dominant at 10.92 pieces/meter2, while at Temberan beach 3 pieces/meter2. The results of perception and participation are different, with the Temberan beach occupying more complex waste problems. The relationship of perception and participation in the density of marine debris have a relationship that affects each other.

The purpose of this study are: 1) To explain the presence or absence of influence of leadership style, organizational culture and job satisfaction on employee performance at Bhayangkara Padang Hospital. and 2) Measuring the magnitude of influence of leadership style, organizational culture and job satisfaction on employee performance at Bhayangkara Padang Hospital. The samples used in this study were 85 respondents by using saturated sampling. This research is an explanatory research. Data collection techniques are questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using Descriptive Analysis and Inferential Analysis. To know the influence of independent variable to dependent variable partially, used t test. While to know the influence of independent variable to dependent variable simultaneously, used F test. The assumption used in validity test is if R-count> R-table item declared valid. Based on the instrument validity test the influence of leadership style, organizational culture and job satisfaction on the performance of employees known all items declared valid and reliable. The Leadership Regression Coefficient (X1) of 0.608, marked as positive indicates Leadership (X1) influences the direction of Performance (Y), which means that each increase of 1 unit of Leadership (X1) will cause the effect on Performance (Y) of 0.608 The coefficient of regression of Organizational Culture (X2) equal to 0,127, marked positive indicate Organizational Culture (X2) have influence on Performance (Y), meaning every increase of 1 unit of Organizational Culture variable (X2) will cause influence to Performance equal to 0,127 The coefficient of regression of Job Satisfaction (X3) is 0,305, marked as pos itive indicating Job Satisfaction (X3) influential in the direction of Performance (Y), which mean every increase of 1 unit of Job Satisfaction variable (X3) Leadership independent variable (X1) has a significant effect on Performance (Y), Organizational Culture (X2) has a significant effect on Performance (Y), Job Satisfaction variable (X3) has significant effect on Performance (Y). The First Hypothesis (H1), Second Hypothesis (H2) and Third Hypothesis (H3) are proven and accepted.
