In 2020, the world was hit by the Covid-19 epidemic and the countries made different decisions on when and how to adopt adequate measures. One of them was teleworking; many people stayed at home where they worked and at the same time took care of their family members and assisted their school-age children. After one month of working from home, the respondents assessed that their family members had a better understanding of the concept of working from home. Besides, the respondents were more organised for this type of work and took care of their school-age children. The fear of losing their job has also reduced, but they were more concerned about salary cuts. The selection of findings and measures could become a guide for employees in order to help them balance private life and work and thus manage stress when working from home.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on various sectors, one of which is education. The world of education also feels the impact. Educators must ensure teaching andlearning activities continue, even though students are at home. It is hoped that the status ofa pandemic will pass quickly with increasing public awareness to join and break the chainof spreading this virus. This dedication article will address two issues; First, trying to lookat the problems of parents and school-age children during the pandemic in terms of education; Second, trying to build public awareness to prevent Covid-19. The results of this service are: First, providing solutions to parents and school-age children for problems that arise in the midst of a pandemic in the aspect of education; Second, increase public understanding of Covid-19 and how to prevent it. Keywords: Impact Covid-19, Educational Transformation, Online Learning. Abstrak Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak besar pada berbagai sektor, salah satunya pendidikan. Dunia pendidikan juga ikut merasakan dampaknya. Pendidik harus memastikan kegiatan belajar mengajar tetap berjalan, meskipun peserta didik berada di rumah. Status pandemi diharapkan cepat berlalu dengan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat untuk ikut andil memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus ini. Artikel pengabdian ini akan membahas dua masalah; Pertama, mencoba untuk mengetahui problematika orang tua dan anak usia sekolah di saat pandemi dalam aspek pendidikan; Kedua, mencoba membangun kesadaran masyarakat untuk pencegahan virus Covid-19. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah: Pertama, memberikan solusi pada orang tua dan anak usia sekolah atas problematika yang muncul di tengah pandemi dalam aspek pendidikan; Kedua, meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang Covid-19 dan cara pencegahannya. Iodine deficiency is one of the most important health problems in the world. It intervenes in the synthesis of thyroid hormones, which carry out important functions, so that a deficit of this mineral causes alterations of different kinds such as those related to growth. The objective of the present study was to know the prevalence of iodine deficit in the diet of Valencian children from 6 to 8 years old and their relationship with anthropometry. The analysis of the dietary intake was carried out through questionnaires. Thirteen schools participated in the study. The sample studied consists of 661 school children belonging to the Valencian Community, between 6 and 8 years of age: 298 boys and 363 girls. 79.12% of the children did not meet recommended daily iodine intakes. When comparing the groups of girls and boys with an inadequate intake, in general, girls show worse nutritional adequacy. When comparing the groups of girls and boys with sufficient iodine intake, no statistically significant differences were observed. No immediate effects of iodine deficiency on children’s anthropometry were observed. Intake of dairy products, fish and iodized salt is recommended, since they can contribute to the diet the iodine required to avoid a deficiency.

Based on the analysis of philosophical, psychologically-pedagogical sources the essence and structure of such notions as “patriotic feelings”,” upbringing of patriotic feelings of senior pre-school age children” is specified. Peculiarities of the upbringing of senior pre-school age children’s patriotic feelings using fiction are determined. Based on the analysis and generalization of the researches of the Ukrainian and foreign scientists such components in the structure of the notion“ upbringing of the patriotic feelings“ are selected: cognitive (knowledge about Motherland, symbolic, symbols, traditions), emotionally-valuable (positive attitude to the family, Motherland native language), behavioural (readiness for compassion and empathy for family members, a wish to follow positive behaviour of literary characters in the own livelihoods. As a result of generalization of the researches of the Ukrainian and foreign scientists, it was determined that upbringing of patriotic feelings of the pre-school age children who understand the responsibility for their behaviour is a practical aspect of the manifestation of patriotic behaviour which is realized through moral behaviour and responsibility. This article reveals peculiarities of the interaction of teachers and family in the education of patriotic feelings of children of the senior pre-school age. Principles of activation of the interaction of teachers and family members in the upbringing of patriotic feelings of the pre-school age children using fiction are illuminated, scientific background of the notion “interaction” is characterized, namely: establishing of trustful business contacts with pupils families; providing parents with psychologically-pedagogical information; using fiction as means of the upbringing of patriotic feelings; ensuring regular interaction of children, teachers and parents; attracting family members to the pedagogical process; creating of a subject and the emotionally developmental environment in the family. Directions, forms and methods of the upbringing of patriotic feelings of the pre-school age children using fiction are determined.

Reading Opening Window The world is a pearl word that describes the importance of reading habits among people. Reading can provide a wealth of knowledge and information from different disciplines in any part of the world. Seeing this, reading has an important role to educate the next generation of the nation. The term reading culture will be a mere discourse if it does not begin with reading habits from an early age. It is the habit that will build the reading culture in Indonesia. According to data from UNESCO in 2012 mentioned that reading interest in Indonesia is only 0.001. That is every 1000 residents only one person who has an interest in reading. The low interest in reading in Indonesia is of particular concern to academics. Teras Library is one of the solutions to instill interest and reading habits in elementary school early on. The habit that is planted early on can be a character that is embedded in students to adulthood. The Teras Library will bring the book closer to the students so that students can read the book casually according to the characteristics of elementary school-age children. With the cultivation of interest and reading habit from an early age, it is expected in the long run there is no longer the term "Generation Zero Book" in Indonesia.

Abstract: Nutritious and safe intake is a prerequisite for the growth and development of school-age children. Poor breakfast habits and snacks for school children that do not meet the requirements contribute significantly to the nutritional problems of school-age children. This is one of the priority health problems. Low achievement in the implementation of school children's nutrition programs has led to healthy breakfast and snack innovations workshops at one of the elementary schools in Sekarbela sub-district, Mataram city. The workshop participants included 50 people consisting of school-age children, parents, teachers, and canteen vendors. The workshop was guided by a nutritionist, and he explained the selection of nutritional intake, both through breakfast and snack. Also, participants were trained to practice a variety of healthy breakfast innovation menus. After the workshop, participants were able to practice and be actively involved in making a healthy breakfast innovation menu. The response of participants to the menu is quite good. After mentoring by a nutritionist, parents and teachers can solve the problems encountered. Cafeteria vendors get input regarding snacks supply after expert review. This workshop has been going well and has produced the results as targeted.Keywords: PJAS, healthy breakfast, workshop, school-age children.

AbstractBackgroundScabies, a common human skin disease with a prevalence range of 0.2% to 71.4% in the world. It can have considerable impact on general health leading to illness and death not only through direct effect of its infestation and as a result of secondary bacterial infection. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of scabies and its associated factors among school age children in Arba Minch zuria district, Gamo zone, Southern Ethiopia.MethodsA community based cross sectional study was carried out in 845 school age children from February 20 to March 30, 2018. Multi-stage sampling technique was used to select study populations. Logistic regression an analysis was used to identify factors associated with scabies. Findings were presented using 95% CI of Crude Odds Ratios (COR) and Adjusted Odds Ratios (AOR. To declare statistical significance, p-value less than 0.05 was used.ResultA total of 825 children participated in the study with response rate of 97.6%. The overall prevalence of scabies was 16.4% [95% CI: 13.9%, 18.9%]. overcrowding index, family history of itching in the past two weeks, wealth index, knowledge of scabies, climatic zone, frequency of washing body, frequency of washing clothes, finger nails cutting practice, history of skin contact with scabies patient, washing hair more than once weekly, and sharing of clothes were significantly associated scabies disease.ConclusionIn conclusion, the prevalence of scabies in Arba Minch lies at 16.4% in the global scabies range 0.2% to 71.4%. The prevalence was highest in highlands followed by midland and then lowland. This represents a significant scabies burden which we recommend warrants health service intervention.Authors summaryScabies, a common human skin disease with a prevalence range of 0.2% to 71.4% in the world. This cross-sectional study investigated the bilingual lexical skills of 175 US school-age children (5 to18 years old) with Cantonese, Mandarin, or Korean as their heritage language (HL), and English as their dominant language. Primary study goals were to identify potential patterns of development in bilingual lexical skills over the elementary to high school time span and to examine the relation of environmental factors to lexical skills. HL and English productive lexical skills were assessed with a Picture Naming and a Verbal Fluency task. English receptive lexical skills were assessed with Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test. A survey obtained information about participants’ language use in six environmental contexts. There were age-related significant increases in both HL and English skills. However, English proficiency already had a significant lead over HL proficiency at the youngest age. English receptive lexical skills reached monolingual expectations from age 8, whereas for HL, high school age participants on average only reached the level of early elementary school monolinguals. Although more English use at home at younger ages was associated with stronger English skills, the relation did not exist for older participants. Instead, among older participants, more English use at home was associated with weaker HL skills. Children’s attendance at HL programs and visits to home countries bore little relation to HL proficiency.

Technology in the multimedia field that is currently developing is Augmented Reality (AR). Utilization of Augmented Reality as a medium for children's education provides a new perspective on the existing educational media, not only using real objects but also using virtual objects in the delivery of information. AR is a technology that combines three-dimensional virtual objects into a real three-dimensional environment and displays them in real time. AR can make delivery easier and make information more interesting especially for children. AR is expected to be able to support as one of the media for school-age children in an effort to realize health promotion. This research method uses a literature review that focuses on the use of Augmented Reality as a medium for health education for school-age children. The literature used is in the form of articles originating from national and international journals. The application of AR as an educational medium can increase children's knowledge. In Indonesia the use of AR media has not been implemented much less especially in nursing. The need for the development of this AR media in the world of nursing.
