The article analyzes the development of China’s space industry from its inception to the present. It is shown that the PRC has consistently implemented a policy of development of this strategic industry and has made tremendous progress in this area to date. Having gone through a number of stages, first with the help of external support (the USSR), then relying mainly on its own forces, China has made a breakthrough in space and today represents one of the world’s largest space powers. At the same time, the problems that persist in the industry need to be solved.

Abstract Purpose of Review Augmented reality (AR) is becoming increasingly popular in modern-day medicine. Computer-driven tools are progressively integrated into clinical and surgical procedures. The purpose of this review was to provide a comprehensive overview of the current technology and its challenges based on recent literature mainly focusing on clinical, cadaver, and innovative sawbone studies in the field of orthopedic surgery. The most relevant literature was selected according to clinical and innovational relevance and is summarized. Recent Findings Augmented reality applications in orthopedic surgery are increasingly reported. In this review, we summarize basic principles of AR including data preparation, visualization, and registration/tracking and present recently published clinical applications in the area of spine, osteotomies, arthroplasty, trauma, and orthopedic oncology. Higher accuracy in surgical execution, reduction of radiation exposure, and decreased surgery time are major findings presented in the literature. Summary In light of the tremendous progress of technological developments in modern-day medicine and emerging numbers of research groups working on the implementation of AR in routine clinical procedures, we expect the AR technology soon to be implemented as standard devices in orthopedic surgery.

The research team, consisting of a political scientist and two young international finance specialists, made an interdisciplinary investigation on Sberbank to understand the prerequisites of its current state. To achieve this, the authors checked the history, principles of operation and the relationship of Sberbank with different political institutions, including the national state as the main one of these. We discovered that Sberbank changed drastically parallel to the changes of the state — founded as a transparent, stable saving institution during tsarist Russian Empire it absorbed all the controversy of later epochs with its “crescendo” in the 1990s. Much has been already saying about the citizens’ deposits, made before 1991 and later claimed “burnt” or “zeroed”, but the authors tried to add some arguments trying to represent alternative points of view and calculate the scales of citizens’ financial losses. The paper contains the analysis of the most important facts and stages of development of the organisation since the foundation till recent years.

This review surveys the current state of the art in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, focusing on algorithms for quadrotors. Tremendous progress has been made across both industry and academia, and full vehicle autonomy is now well within reach. We begin by presenting recent successes in control, estimation, and trajectory planning that have enabled agile, high-speed flight using low-cost onboard sensors. We then examine new research trends in learning and multirobot systems and conclude with a discussion of open challenges and directions for future research.

Originally, the biosocial model of borderline personality disorder (BPD) was based on clinical experience and intuition. Within the last 30 years, tremendous progress has been made strengthening the empirical basis for this model. Currently, most researchers postulate three core domains of BPD psychopathology: affective dysregulation, interpersonal disturbances, and problems in identity. Whereas affective dysregulation research has the strongest empirical support, morphological and functional neuroimaging findings point to alterations of the central regions of the emotion regulation circuitry: prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, and insula. It is unclear whether these alterations are due to early adverse childhood experience or instead are more genetically driven, resulting in a pattern of emotional hypersensitivity,. However, evidence shows that successful DBT changes dysfunctional emotions and cognitive patterns as well as related neurobiological underpinnings. This chapter discusses the current state of research on the biological underpinnings of BPD.

The principal focus of this chapter is resiliency theory, as an expanding ideology attempting to provide supportive resources with suggestions for how education practitioners might function, as positive social change agents in organizations and institutions. Elemental to current transformational and remedial trends under construction in organizations and institutions, education practitioners are increasingly responsible for distressed student populations. Scholars from various disciplines have contributed to the current state of this ideological reformulation, titled resiliency theory, while research investigations presently continue to unfold and develop. Data were gathered electronically from First Year Seminar instructors during the 2015 school year from faculty questionnaires with eight questions focusing on the following areas: engaging topics, successful instructional strategies and benefits of FYS courses. Findings suggested: 1) strengthened positive external support systems, such as mentoring and experiential learning programs, 2) increased personalized academic learning environments, and 3) affirmation of the “value” in higher education.
