The article is devoted to the identification of conceptually identical perceptions of musical time in the cultures of India and Indonesia. The paper considers tala, the Indian category of time, in the context of structuring the parameters of musical compositions in Indian art. Gamelans (Indonesian ensembles of musical instruments) are described in detail as well as the basic principles of organizing musical material in the compositions they perform. The aim of the work is to compare the patterns of perception of the category of time in the cultures of India and Indonesia. The research methodology is based on the principles of an integrated approach that considers the musical traditions of these countries from theoretical and historical-cultural positions. In the process of working on this article, the key role was played by the experience of studying Indian and Indonesian cultures obtained by the authors during scientific internships in India and Indonesia (T.V. Kartashova – institute Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra in 2004–2006 and in 2009 (New-Delhi, India); V.U. Antipova studied at the Indonesian Institute of Arts in Yogyakarta under the Darmasiswa Indonesian Scholarship program in the 2017–2018 academic year). The result of the study is the identification of the cyclical nature of musical time in the art of India and Indonesia. It is concluded that in the coordinate systems of different civilizations there are certain intersection points, and often they appear at a conceptual level. The identification of common interpretations of various categories makes it possible to comprehend deep intercivilizational ties, which makes it possible to identify the relatedness of the basics of world understanding in the cultures of South and Southeast Asia.

Abstract. Starting from the Academic Year 2018–2019, Politecnico di Milano university has established a BSc programme on “Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation” (ICMR). This course is aimed at training students to cope with issues related to different types of natural and anthropogenic hazards, among which Geohazards are paid a primary attention. A “Workshop on Monitoring Techniques for Geohazards” is included to present different Geological, Geophysical and Geodetic techniques to be applied to landslides within an integrated approach. The use of active and problem-based learning techniques was one of the basic principles in the design of ICMR programme. This resulted in planning some visits and field campaigns to allow students to directly work on real case studies. The course has been scheduled for the first time in the second term of A.Y. 2019–2020, when the COVID-19 pandemics developed and prevented the lab activities in the field to be implemented as planned. The paper presents how the content and the organization of the course have been revised to try to reach the same learning objectives notwithstanding the limitations on the activities “in presence”.

The article is dedicated to revelation of the peculiarities of integrated approach in the process of schoolchildren's aesthetic education in the People's Republic of China. The possibilities of using art while teaching different subjects (Mathematics, different languages, Literature, History etc.) have been outlined. The Chinese pedagogues underline the close connection of Mathematics and Music. It provides opportunities to learn fractional nature of the notes, feel the rhythm of the music, relate harmony, intervals, melody and notes to whole numbers, proportions, arithmetic operations, logarithms, Geometry and Trigonometry. The authors have pointed out that aesthetic subjects (music, art, theatre) are also closely connected in educational process of schools. The characteristic feature of schoolchildren's aesthetic education in the People's Republic of China is taking into account the regionality (differences in development of art depending on the region of the country). It is due to different historical, socio-economic and cultural factors of development of different regions in China. The regionality strengthens the connection of arts with History, Economics and Geography and helps schoolchildren to understand the significance and differences of regional music in China, to learn various Chinese musical instruments, folk lullabies and to investigate the important characteristic features of the Chinese music. So, schoolchildren's aesthetic education in China has a strong national basis: art is connected with national expression, development of musical traditions, nature and mental aesthetic ideas.

Well-Known Institute of Management is situated in New Delhi, India, and offers a 2-year fully residential post-graduate programme in management (MBA). Dr. Vivek Gupta joined the Well-Known Institute of Management in the year 2018 as an assistant professor in the area of information technology and system management. He is also heading the IT team of the institute. The critical and unprecedented COVID-19 situation brought another challenge for Dr. Gupta and his team. Going virtual is inevitable. But which platform will serve the purpose of running the next academic session in virtual mode? The IT team proposed a three-stage process in deciding and recommending a plausible online platform for conducting online classes. In the first stage, requirements for conducting online classes are to be analysed and recorded. In the second stage, the options available in the market are explored followed by their assessment based on the requirements recorded in Stage 1. The IT team simplified the assessment by first mapping these requirements with 20 important functionalities of these five platforms. However, the outcome was not favourable. Not a single platform is meeting all the requirements. The IT team is back to square one. In addition, there are other major considerations that needed thorough analysis like managing the desirable behaviour from the users of the selected online platform. The next few months are going to be a real challenge for Dr. Gupta and his team in aligning the institute with a new norm in the upcoming academic year.

Abstract Experimental evidence [Shin, 1992] has shown that the natural frequencies of high speed spindles with angular contact ball bearings decrease with increasing rotational speed. A recent study [Wang, et al., 1991] illustrated that this phenomenon is caused by stiffness change of the bearings. A simplified approximation was used in the analysis to examine the bearing radial stiffness at high speeds. While the investigation explained the experimental observations in a qualitative sense, the analytical results so far are not sufficient to quantitatively describe the spindle behavior under high speed operations due to the approximations made in the modeling process. This paper presents an integrated approach toward the modelling of flexible spindles with angular contact ball bearings from basic principles. The local dynamics of the bearings are coupled with the global shaft motion. The model derived includes both the longitudinal and transverse vibrations of the shaft interacting with the nonlinear bearings. The influences of shaft speed on the bearing stiffness matrix and the system frequencies have been studied. It is shown that the spindle dynamic behavior can vary substantially as speed increases due to the bearing gyroscopic moment and centrifugal force. These effects have been ignored in most of the previous spindle models. Lab tests were conducted to validate the model. The analytical predictions are quantitatively verified by the experimental results.

This study was formulated to evaluate the impact of bacterization with Azotobacter of two cabbage genotypes (Pusa Early golden acre and Pusa drum head) under field conditions. The study was performed in herbal garden of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. The plants were treated with graded treatments (60,120,180 kg N ha-1) of N alone and in combination with seedling inoculation withAzotobacter. The plants were sampled and tested for various morpho-physiological and biochemical parameters. Chlorophyll content, NR activity, protein content, sugar content and phenol content was found to be significantly higher in plants treated with N in combination in Azotobacter. Thus, the use of Azotobacteras a supplement or biofertilizer in integrated nutrient management systems was highly recommended to minimize the application rates of synthetic fertilizers and attain the goal of sustainable agriculture.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a complex pathology that requires an integrated approach in both diagnosis and treatment, including optimal prevention of thrombosis, control of clinical symptoms, and identification and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors and comorbidities. The article analyzes some of the new positions of the recommendations of the European Society of Cardiology on atrial fibrillation, presented in 2020. Effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are discussed in the management of patients with AF in conditions of multimorbidity. The basic principles of the CC to ABC concept, introduced with the aim of improving a structured approach to the treatment of patients with AF, and the 4S-AF regimen necessary for decision on the use of oral anticoagulants, choosing a method of control of the rhythm and / or its frequency, choosing between ablation, cardioversion and antiarrhythmic drugs, as well as to determine the mode of treatment of major cardiovascular diseases. To improve the prognosis and achieve the best results in these patients, the most important is to reduce the risk of stroke, control cardiovascular risks and comorbidities, and ensure high adherence to the therapy within the framework of the concept of comprehensive patient protection. Rivaroxaban is considered by the authors of the article as one of the drugs that provides comprehensive anticoagulant protection of patients with AF. The efficacy profile of rivaroxaban in the prevention of acute cerebrovascular accident and high safety rates were confirmed in a population of multimorbid AF patients of different ages and the highest risk of stroke and / or bleeding.
