To support the vision of UIN Suska Riau, so established the Technical Implementation Unit field of computer and information systems UIN Suska Riau called Computer Center (PUSKOM). However, in 2013, Computer Center (PUSKOM) UIN Suska Riau renamed the Center of Information Technology and Database (PTIPD). Center for Information Technology and Data Base (PTIPD) UIN Suska Riau is a part that manages the use of information technology in environment UIN Suska Riau. PTIPD provide internet network with current bandwidth capacity of 200 Mbps. PTIPD also conduct training in information technology for students and faculty and to develop information systems and applications as needed academic community UIN Suska Riau. Development of information systems that are not systematically planned will lead the organization does not have the priority scale development projects / IT and impressed patchy. This way will impact on the productivity of the organization. Center for Information Technology and Database (PTIPD) requires strategic planning of IS / IT should be appropriate, because if the IS / IT is not appropriate either target or goal, then the IS / IT will not be a competitive advantage for the Center for Information Technology and Database (PTIPD ) UIN Suska Riau. Form of Strategic Planning Information System that discussed in this study is to use a methodology Ward and Peppard, with the input of the internal business environment analysis and environmental analysis of the internal IS / IT. The results of this analysis define the design strategy plan IS / IT for the Center for Information Technology and Data Base (PTIPD) UIN Suska Riau. Purpose: In the past, marriage was a matter of self-preparation. They become a committee that works to cook, design wedding decorations, receive guests and prepare everything for the wedding. Not to forget, the host is also bothered with a lot of work, especially the event management on the wedding day itself. However, things were different now. Many hosts are so busy with work that they can no longer afford to design their wedding ceremony. Then, comes a wedding organizer as the best solution and become one of the best-selling businesses in the market. Mostly, current WO services are limited to coordinating everything that is needed for a wedding. They offer services to customers through certain packages to choose from for weddings. Indeed, for some people who have sufficient budgets, it is not difficult to adjust the wishes contained in these packages. However, this is certainly different for groups of people who have a minimal budget. Most of the budget is a problem in itself for couples who will use WO Services. With this background, a strategic business plan is carried out by facilitating the prospective bride and groom as customers to plan their wedding according to their respective budgets through IT-based wedding portals and a container in the form of a "marriage bank" to finance the marriage. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses a qualitative method that aims to describe and analyze social activities that happened. There will be several stages of research, including the first stage of the researcher starting to collect various materials that can be support research and be able to provide adequate information. Further analysis is carried out to the business environment and IS/IT environment external and internal using business environment analysis, SWOT analysis, and so on. Findings/Result: This study seeks to map the Business and Information Technology Strategic Planning of Smart Bank Wedding Organizer. Based on the analysis of the internal and external environment, SWOT analysis, and so on, the IS/IT Business and Management Strategy which consists of finance, employee, IT/IS, stakeholders, customers, marketplace, and operational activities can be mapped according to their respective needs. By mapping the IS/IT Business and Management Strategy, it is hoped that the planning, development, and running of the business will run well and sustainably. Paper Type: Conceptual Research.

STMIK Cahaya Surya Kediri adalah sebuah institusi pendidikan tinggi yang memiliki satu program pendidikan S1 Sistem Informasi. Dalam industri usaha jasa, sistem informasi merupakan alat yang dapat membantu memenangkan persaingan. Perencanaan strategis sistem informasi menjadi salah satu kunci sebelum menerapkan sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi pada perusahaan. Perencanaan strategis yang tepat dapat mendukung rencana dan pengembangan bisnis perusahaan. STMIK Cahaya Surya Kediri belum memiliki perencanaan strategis sistem informasi. Bentuk perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang akan dibahas dalam kajian ini menggunakan metodologi Ward and peppard dengan alat bantu metode analisis Value Chain untuk analisa lingkungan bisnis internal, Five Forces Model untuk analisa lingkungan bisnis eksternal, dan McFarlan Strategic Grid untuk analisa kondisi SI/TI internal saat ini. Hasil dari analisis ini mendefinisikan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi berupa strategi bisnis sistem informasi, strategi manajemen sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi, strategi sistem informasi, gap analisis sistem informasi, dan rencana implementasi.The increasing the number of college resulting in the higher competition. STMIK Cahaya Surya Kediri is an institution of higher education that have an educational program S1 Information System. In the business services industry, information system is a tool that can help win the competition. Strategic planning of information systems to be one of the key before implementing information systems and information technology in the enterprise. Proper strategic planning to support the company's plans and business development. STMIK Cahaya Surya Kediri not have a strategic planning information system. Form of strategic planning of information systems that will be discussed in this study using a methodology Ward and Peppard with aids Value Chain analysis method for internal business environment analysis, Five Forces Model for the analysis of the external business environment, and McFarlan Strategic Grid to analyze the condition of the IS/IT internal current. The results of this analysis defines the strategic planning of information systems in the form of business strategy information systems, information systems and information technology management strategy, information systems strategy, information systems gap analysis, and implementation plan.

The purpose of this study resulted in strategic planning of information systems and information technology. STIKES 'Aisyiyah palembang as one private health university in south sumatera is still having difficulty in determining the priority scale of SI / IT development. Therefore it is needed an information system planning and information technology with qualitative approach using ward and peppard framework. In analyzing the internal business environment the researcher uses the value chain method to map the main activities and supporting activities, the main activity of STIKES 'Aisyiyah Palembang is described using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). the current external business conditions use the five forces model and for internal and external environment analysis SI / TI uses current technology trends. <p>Sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi (SI/TI) merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Sebagai contoh, sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi pada salah satu organisasi yang ada yaitu Dinas Perindustrian dan Tenaga Kerja (Dispernaker) Kota Salatiga. Dispernaker dalam menjalankan tugasnya sudah menggunakan SI/TI tetapi penggunaanya belum maksimal, hal ini menyebabkan Dispernaker seringkali menemui masalah. Melihat kondisi masalah tersebut maka dibutuhkan suatu perencanaan strategis SI/TI yang dapat mendukung proses bisnis pada organisasi (dalam hal ini Dispernaker) sedangkan perencanaan strategis sendiri merupakan proses bagaimana organisasi mencapai atau merealisasikan tujuannya. Untuk dapat menerapkan perencanaan strategis yang sesuai dengan organisasi tentu melalui sebuah penelitian. Penelitian tersebut ialah penelitian perencanaan strategis sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini sendiri nantinya akan menggunakan metode <em>Ward and Peppard</em> yang dilakukan dengan menganalisis lingkungan bisnis juga lingkungan SI/TI secara internal dan eksternal. Metode tersebut memiliki beberapa analisis, analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis SWOT, analisis <em>Value chain</em> dan analisis PEST, analisis <em>Five Force Model</em>, analisis <em>McFarlan</em>. Dari hasil penelitian ini akan memberikan rekomendasi yang berkaitan dengan visi misi, dengan harapan rekomendasi tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan publik.</p><p><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p align="center"> </p><p class="Judul2"><em>Information systems and information technology (IS / IT) is one of the factors that influence the success of an organization. For instance, information systems and information technology in an organization called the Department of Industry and Labor (Dispernaker), Salatiga. SI/TI in Dispernaker in its used has not be maximzed yet ,because the use of SI/IT in the Dispernaker has not been maximal. This matter causing data in the  dispernaker not well structured. This problem Happen because of random Datas. Besides, there are a part of business process that still take manually. Dispenaker Salatiga also doesn't have strategic planning of SI/TI. By the conditions of the problem, we need a strategic plan of IS / IT to support business processes in an organization (in this case Dispernaker) while strategic planning is itself is a process of how organizations achieve theirgoals. To be able to apply strategic planning according to the organization is through a research. The researchis astudy is a strategic planning of information systems and information technology. The research will use Ward and Peppard method by analyzing the business environment and the IS / IT internally and externally. The method has some analysis, the analysis used are SWOT, Value Chain and PEST, Five Force Model, McFarlan Strategic Grid. The results of the study will be recommendations related to the vision and mission. Researcher hopes that these recommendations can be used to improve the quality of public services.</em></p>

Information systems researchers continue to grapple with the development of frameworks to aid managers in the identification of opportunities for the strategic use of information technology. Many of the current frameworks have been proposed to guide the systems development process, but few have successfully dealt with the underlying business issues that drive the need to develop an information system in the first place. Because the difficulties that a particular business must cope with arise from the distinctive characteristics of the firm, its product and the particular niche in which the firm operates, this chapter presents a two-dimensional Competitive Force/Marketing Mix (CF/MM) framework that can be used to recognize opportunities for strategic information systems within the firm’s niche. The CF/MM framework is based on a combination of Porter’s view of strategy as a response to the unique mix of the five competitive forces faced by a firm, and the firm’s marketing strategy. By using the CF/MM framework, managers and researchers can identify opportunities to use emerging information technologies as part of front-line competitive strategy. After presentation of the CF/MM framework, the chapter presents a summary of the results of a CF/MM-based analysis of 150 articles related to the competitive use of information technology that have been published in both the popular press and scholarly press. Organizations that are successful in creatively focusing the use of the expanding array of modern information technologies on their particular business niche will increase their ability to survive in the dynamic business environment of the year 2000 and beyond. The CF/MM framework can also be used by IS managers to orchestrate the mix of applications held by a firm in order to maximize the strategic impact of IT investments.

Automotive sales industries and businesses are businesses that have a great contribution to economic growth in the country.  Competition in the automotive sales business is also getting higher so it requires the need for the right business strategy to survive and grow. Most of these automotive businesses have utilized Information Technology (IT) to support their operations. However, the capability in planning, managing and implementing Information Systems and Information Technology (SI/IT) that is linked to the company's business strategy has not been fully implemented. Therefore, Strategic Planning of Information Systems is currently one of the keys in achieving the company's goals that must be aligned with the business strategy set by the company. The role of SI/IT should not only be an operational automation tool but more than that as an organizational key enabler.  The study was conducted for modeling SI/IT strategy plan based on Hyundai's business strategy using Ward & Peppard methodology, analysis with SWOT, Value Chain, Five Force which then mapped into Critical Succes Factor to obtain possible SI/IT strategies.   Keywords: Strategic Planning, Balanced Scorecard, Automotive Industry   Abstrak   Industri dan bisnis penjualan otomotif merupakan bisnis yang memiliki kontribusi besar terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negeri ini.  Persaingan pada bisnis penjualan otomotif juga makin tinggi sehingga membutuhkan kebutuhan strategi bisnis yang tepat untuk bertahan dan tumbuh berkembang. Sebagian besar bisnis otomotif ini telah memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi (TI) untuk menunjang operasionalnya. Namun kemampuan dalam perencanaan, pengelolaan serta implementasi Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi Informasi (SI/TI) yang dihubungkan dengan strategi bisnis perusahaan masih belum diterapkan sepenuhnya. Untuk itu Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi saat ini merupakan salah satu kunci dalam pencapaian sasaran perusahaan yang harus diselaraskan dengan strategi bisnis yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan. Peranan SI/TI yang ada sebaiknya tidak hanya sebagai alat otomasi operasional namun lebih dari itu sebagai key enabler organisasi.  Kajian yang dilakukan untuk pemodelan rencana strategi SI/TI berdasar strategi bisnis Hyundai dengan menggunakan metodologi Ward & Peppard, analisis dengan SWOT, Value Chain, Five Force yang kemudian dipetakan ke dalam Critical Succes Factor untuk mendapatkan strategi-strategi SI/TI yang memungkinkan. Este artigo teve por objetivo descrever usos e aplicações de três ferramentas de gestão presentes no ambiente empresarial contemporâneo: a Tecnologia da Informação (TI), os Sistemas de Informações Gerenciais (SIG) e a Gestão do Conhecimento (GC). Foi realizada revisão narrativa de literatura. Verificou-se que o fluxo de informações funciona como o elemento unificador entre TI, SIG e a GC. Ao possibilitarem o uso adequado de informações e de pessoas com vistas ao alcance dos objetivos organizacionais, fomentam a criação de vantagens competitivas. Identificou-se, então, que a introdução dessas ferramentas, ao alterar processos internos e externos, contribui para o desenvolvimento das organizações.Palavras-Chave: Tecnologia da Informação. A narrative review of the literature was performed. It was verified that the information flow works as the unifying element between IT, ISM and KM. By enabling the proper use of information and people to achieve the organizational objectives, they promote the creation of competitive advantages. Manies Group is a company engaged in the sale of fashion that has been known by the people of the City of Madiun since 1971. Business competition is getting higher with the construction of several Mall and Department Stores. One strategy to deal with such competition is through information technology and information systems. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the information system strategic planning for Manies Group. The purpose of this study is to identify data needs to develop information systems and information technology. The planning analysis methodology uses the framework of John Ward and Joe Peppard. The analysis results are mapped using portfolio designs using McFarlan's Strategic Grid. The final result of this research is a document on the IS / IT strategic plan that supports the process of designing and building information systems for Manies Group

The role of information systems and information technology is indispensable in a variety of fields of work and human resources required to have good quality so it could use the technology appropriately. The library is space that contained a lot of catalogs needed for learning and teachingas media seek knowledge and insight for students and lecturer, then the required information system that can hold all the information about then added data quickly and accurately. Therefore, the library shoidbeable to capitaliz on the presence of information technology to improve the quality of its services. It takes a strategic planning of information systems/information technology that isusedas the basis for the construction of an idea information system and in accordance with user needs.Strategic planning of information systems at the Library STMIK Palangka Raya using the methodology Wardand Peppard (Ward, 2002). With the strategic planning of the library can analyze and evaluate theexisting potential of the entire surroundings of the library in order to develop them selves in accordance with the progress of informationand communication technology as well as libraries have a guide in theform of strategies that should be run in the field of informationtechnolog y to improve its performance.It has a good performance of the library will be able to provide acompetitive advantage for the Organization so that it can continue tocompete in today's global era.
