This study aims to 1 find out the process of designing the development of teaching materials on writing free poetry of class 13 students of SMP Xaverius Tugumulyo, 2 to describe the teaching material of free class 13 class 13Tugumulyo SMP poetry, valid and effective. The method used Research and Development research and used model Dick and Carey. Interview data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. The questionnaire value is used to determine the quantitative data. The design feasibility conclusion is included in the good kategoti, with the percentage of 80 percent. Results from validation of content or material feasibility are included in either category, with percentage of 80 percent. Last validation of language with good category, with percentage 74,28 percent. The validation results of the overall team of experts are categorized well, with the percentage of 78.33 percent. Practicality of teaching materials can be seen seen from the calculation of the validity of the instrument with the results of 0.98, with the category of validity is very high. The effectiveness of instructional materials and significant relationships can be seen from the calculations using SPSS 20, with a result of 0.0001. The conclusion of the research and development of teaching materials writing free poems that researchers have developed has been an alternative use in the process of teaching and learning. This study aims to: (1) produce debating teaching materials based on a model of jurisprudence in Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar High School IT; (2) examine the feasibility of debating material teaching materials based on the model of jurisprudence in class X SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. This research was designed with research and development. The design of this study is R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective Design and Development Model). The data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data from the assessment of experts and practitioners. Qualitative data comes from comments, criticisms, and suggestions from expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials. Quantitative data is sourced from scores of expert and practitioner evaluations of the components of teaching materials. The data analysis technique of this study is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis, namely grouping data and concluding data in the form of comments, suggestions, and criticism from experts and practitioners to improve teaching materials and quantitative data analysis that is looking for the average of each indicator of expert judgment and practitioners for product feasibility. Components of the results of the assessment of teaching materials indicate that the component of content eligibility obtained an average of 3.39, the presentation component of 3.53, the language component of 3.47, the graphic component of 3.64, and the implications for developing competency debating 3.83. This research and development resulted in the product of the Arguing Teaching Material Based on a Model of jurisprudence that had been assessed by experts and practitioners. The results of expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials indicate that the assessment is in a very feasible category.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang didukung data kuantitatif. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE. Karya inovasi ini dibuat dengan macromediaflash 8. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan menggunakan model Miles Huberman.Hasilpengembangan diperoleh sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mempermudah mengingat rumus trigonometri. Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, android, konsep trigonometri Abstract [The Development of Interactive Android Based Learning Media to Facilitate Understanding of Trigonometric Concepts]. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive android based learning media to facilitate understanding of trigonometric concepts. This research is a development research with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data. Development model used is ADDIE. The innovation work was made with Macromedia Flash 8. The subjects in this study consisted of 8 students on a small group trial and 30 students on a large group trial. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative data analysis technique using Miles Huberman model. The results of the development obtained a learning media that can help students to simplify remembering the trigonometric formula. The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of teaching materials based on an open-ended approach to improve the reasoning abilities of fourth grade students in elementary schools. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). The subjects of this study were 3 classroom teachers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis (data reduction, data presentation and conclusion) and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of stage 1 media validation, it was obtained 84.8%, and the results of stage 2 media validation were obtained 94.8%. The result of material validation for stage 1 was obtained 84.6%, and validation for material for stage 2 was obtained 93.3%. The results of initial field trials obtained media 93.7% and material 92.3%. This shows that the teaching material is declared valid and suitable for use. Based on the results of this study, the suggestion that can be conveyed is that teaching materials based on an open-ended approach can be used as a tool for teaching and learning resources for students.

This study aims to investigate students’ perceptions of English Day Program in speaking skill development. To achieve the objective, a questionnaire and interview were administered to collect the perception of 35 eight graders of SMPK Penabur Kota Wisata, Bogor. The quantitative data collected by the questionnaire and the qualitative data obtained from the interview were analyzed employing the descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that students' motivation to master English speaking was very high, and they expected the English Day Program would help them develop English speaking. However, only slightly more a half of them were enthusiastic to join English Day Program due to its previous poor implementation.

Speaking Ability was the important aspect in communication. The aim of the study was to investigate the improving speaking ability through storytelling in teaching speaking at eight grade of SMAN 1 Lambitu. This research used classroom action research. The subjects in this research were the students at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Lambitu. The sample were 16 students in one class. The researcher used the technique of storytelling through recount text to improve speaking skill. Quantitative data analysis technique used this research through average score and percentage of students’ test, while qualitative data analysis was taken from analysis of observation during the classroom. The result of this study was in cycle I was at fair category (60-70) which average score was 67,4. It indicated the students’ ability in storytelling was not active (<50%)., which the critical success 31,5%. While in cycle II, the result of students’ score was 75,3, which means that the students were good category (60-79). The result was indicated that the students habits in storytelling technique in cycle II was active (<80%). Moreover the result of observation were student enjoy the lesson and follow the teaching and learning process smoothly and regularly. So, the conclusion that story telling technique was improving students’ speaking ability at Eleventh Grade of SMA 1 Lambitu.

Research purpose to:(1) describe the form of teaching material to write exposition text based on the potential of Wajo area; and (2) testing the feasibility of teaching materials for writing exposition text based on the potential of the Wajo region. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (RD). The research design used is Recursive, Reflective Design, and Development Model (R2D2). The data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data from expert and practitioner assessments. Qualitative data sourced from comments, criticisms, and suggestions from expert and practitioner assessments of teaching material. Quantitative data sourced from expert and practitioner assessment scores on the components of teaching materials. The data analysis technique of this research is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis is to group data and conclude data in the form of comments, criticisms, and suggestions from experts and practitioners for the improvement of teaching material. Quantitative data analysis is looking for the average of each indicator of expert and practitioner ratings for product viability. This research and development resulted in the teaching of Wajo Regional Potential Themed Text Exposition Texts for Class VIII Students of SMP / MTs that have been assessed by experts and practitioners. The results showed that the content eligibility component obtained an average of 0.93 (very feasible), a presentation component of 0.91 (very feasible), a linguistic component of 0.92 (very feasible), a graphic component of 0.94 (very feasible), and component implications for developing writing skills competence 0.94 (very feasible). The results of expert and practitioner assessments of teaching materials indicate that the assessment is in a very feasible category. Thus, teaching materials are recommended to be used as teaching materials in junior high schools.

This study attempts to improve students’ vocabulary achievement through Clustering Technique. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII-B SMP Katolik Trisakti 2 Medan that consisted of 32 students. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were vocabulary tests for quantitative data and diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet for qualitative data. Students’ score kept improving in every test. In the first cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 64.68. And in the second cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 79.85. Based on diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, teaching and learning process had done effectively showed the improvement. Every student was studied actively. And from the research can be concluded that Clustering Technique can improve students’ achievement in vocabulary.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the instruction process using the flipped classroom (FC) model within the scope of Computer Networks and Communication course. Theoretically, the community of inquiry model was taken as a reference and the effectiveness of the instruction process was evaluated accordingly. Students were preservice teachers studying Computer Education and Information Technology in the third grade in the Van region in Turkey. There were a total of 19 students, of which 12 are male and seven are female. FC process was carried out in the spring semester of 2018–2019 and lasted 11 weeks in total. A mixed-method design was used to gathering the data. Therefore, the research design was an explanatory design from mixed-methods designs. The quantitative data collection tool was the Turkish version of the Community of Inquiry Survey. The quantitative data were analyzed by dividing the students into very low, low, high, and very high levels. The qualitative data collection tool was the interview form created concerning the community of inquiry model. The qualitative data were analyzed by the use of the community of inquiry coding template's themes. At the end of the instruction process, students had a very high level of cognitive, social, and teaching presence perception. This situation was detailed and supported with the qualitative data obtained. Concerning the cognitive presence, the students firstly talked about that they started the learning process with videos. Regarding the social presence, they mentioned the motivating effect of the questions. About the teaching presence, participants firstly mentioned the direct instruction role of the videos.

<p>Modul adalah salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajarnya, peserta didik membutuhkan modul pembelajaran biologi yang berbasis <em>contextual Taeching Learning</em> (CTL). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan modul yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian <em>Research and development </em>(R&amp;D) dengan menggunakan model pengembanan 4-D (<em>four D</em>) terdiri dari tahap define, design dan develop, sedangkan tahap dessiminate tidak dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan modul yang dikembangkan memiliki nilai rata-rata kevalidan yaitu 3,51 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Nilai rata-rata kepraktisan modul oleh peserta didik yaitu 3,49 dengan kategori praktis.</p><p> </p><p>Modules are one of the teaching materials that students can use in the learning process. Students need a biology learning module based on contextual learning (CTL) to increase their learning achievement. The purpose of this study was to produce a valid and practical module. This research was a Research and development (R&amp;D) study using the 4-D (four-D) development model consisting of define, design and development stages, while the disseminate stage was not carried out. The results of this study indicate that the module developed has an average value of validity 3.51 or on very valid criteria. The average value of the practicality of the module was 3.49 or on the practical category</p>

Project based learning (PoBL) is a constructivism learning approach that focuses around student centred learning. PoBL has been found to be effective in different tertiary institutions of learning across the globe. However, in spite the effectiveness of PoBL, it has not been adopted in Nigerian tertiary institutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effective strategies for integrating PoBL in teaching and learning Woodwork Technology Education (WTE) at tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Three research questions were posed in this study. A mixed method approach involving both quantitative and qualitative method was employed for the study. The sample of the study comprised 50 in-service postgraduate students from Nigerian tertiary institutions studying Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for the quantitative aspect, and 9 in-service post graduate students for the qualitative part. A 16-item structured questionnaire was used for quantitative data collection while semi structured interview was used for qualitative data collection. Data was analyse using the SPSS software version 24 to analyse quantitative data and NVIVO 12 was used for qualitative data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that traditional instructional approach is the predominant method used in teaching and learning WTE at tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It was also revealed from the findings that PoBL encourage student ownership of learning, enhances students critical thinking, effective collaboration and communication. The findings from the study also revealed that restructuring of WTE curriculum at tertiary institutions in Nigeria to focus on a learner centred approach, as well as organising seminars and workshops for WTE lecturers to be acquainted with the application of PoBL in WTE teaching and learning were among the effective strategies for integrating PoBL in teaching and learning WTE at tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Finally, this paper calls for the integration of PoBL into the teaching and learning of WTE at Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of education in Nigeria for effectiveness in skills acquisition.
