<p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran <em>problem</em><em>-based learning</em> terhadap pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah materi hukum Archimedes di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Ketungau Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan <em>quasi</em><em>-experimental designs </em>dengan <em>nonequivalent groups posttest only</em>. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah butir soal pemahaman konsep berbentuk tes pilihan ganda dan pemecahan masalah berbentuk tes uraian. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Ketungau Tengah tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Sampel sebanyak 37 orang siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil dengan teknik <em>cl</em><em>uster random sampling</em>. Analisis data menggunakan uji MANOVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian: (1) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa cukup dan pemecahan masalah siswa baik setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran <em>problem</em><em>-based learning</em>; (2) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kurang dan pemecahan masalah siswa sangat kurang setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran konvesional; dan (3) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran <em>problem</em><em>-based learning </em>terhadap pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah materi hukum archimedes.</p><p><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>The research aims to examine the effect of the problem-based learning model of learning on concept understanding and problem-solving of Archimedes material in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Ketungau Tengah. The research used quasi-experimental designs with nonequivalent groups posttest only. The instrument used was a matter of understanding the concept in the form of multiple-choice tests and problem-solving in the form of description tests. The population of the research was all students of class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Ketungau Tengah in the academic year 2018/2019. A sample of 37 students consisted of two classes taken cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis using the MANOVA two-way test. The results of the research: (1) The ability to understand students' concepts is sufficient and students' problem-solving is good after the application of the problem-based learning model; (2) The ability to understand students' concepts is lacking and students' problem-solving is very lacking after the application of conventional learning models; and (3) There is an influence of the problem-based learning model on the understanding of concepts and problem-solving in Archimedes material.</em></p>

Biology learning is designed to provide opportunities for students to be able to solve problems in everyday life. Therefore, a learning model is needed that can construct students' knowledge in order to be able to solve problems. This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by audio-visual media on the problem-solving ability of the reproductive system material at Efata Soe High School. This research is an experimental research design (Quasi-Experimental Non-equivalent control design) with pre-test and post-test patterns. The sampling technique used was random sampling involving classes X1 and X2 as the experimental class 1, 2, and class X3 as the control class. The results of the Posthoc test with LSD found that the problem-solving ability of the audio-visual-assisted PBL experimental class and the PBL class with practicum had a sig value, 0.000> 0.05 with the conclusion that the two classes' solving abilities were not different. Meanwhile, the problem-solving ability of the experimental class 1, 2 with the control class has a sig value. 0.840 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the problem-solving abilities of the experimental class and the control class are different, this is supported by the Difference post-test scores in three classes, namely in the experimental class 1 and 2 with a value of 82.3 and 81.4 while in the control class with a value of 65.97. Abstrak: Pembelajaran biologi dirancang untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mampu memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. oleh karena itu dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang dapat menkonstruksikan pengetahuan siswa agar mampu memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem-based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi sistem reproduksi di SMA Efata Soe. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen rancangan (Quasi Experimental Non-equivalent control design) dengan pola Pre-test dan Post-test. Teknik Pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling yang melibatkan kelas X1 dan X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1, 2 dan kelas X3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji Posthoc dengan LSD ditemukan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas experimen PBL berbantuan audio visual dan kelas PBL dengan praktikum memiliki nilai sig, 0,000>0,05 dengan kesimpulan kemampuan pemecahan kedua kelas tersebut tidak berbeda. Sedangkan, kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas experiment 1, 2 dengan kelas kontrol  mempunyai nilai sig. 0,840<0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas experiment dan kelas kontrol berbeda  hal ini didukung dengan nilai post-test pada ke tiga kelas tersebut berbeda yaitu pada kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 dengan nilai 82,3 dan 81,4 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan nilai 65,97.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematics problem solving ability of students in 4th grade primary school Pasi Pinang. This research uses a quantitative approach, with the type of research is quasi experimental. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of primary school Pasi Pinang and the sampling technique in this study was selected by total sampling of two classes. The experimental class was treated with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and the control class was treated with the expository learning model. The instruments used consisted of a learning motivation questionnaire and a math problem solving ability test. Data analysis was carried out using two-way ANOVA. From the results of this study, it was obtained that the average result of the mathematics problem solving ability taught by the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model was 82.16 while the average result of the mathematics problem solving ability taught by the expository learning model was 71. , 36. So it can be concluded that the results of the mathematics problem solving ability of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model are higher than students who are taught with the Expository learning model.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on the ability to understand the concepts of class VII students of SMP 16 Kota Bengkulu. The research carried out was quasi-experimental with a population of all students in class VII of SMP 16 Kota Bengkulu totaling 218 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique and a sample of 60 students was obtained, 30 students in the VIIA class as the experimental class, 30 students in the VIIE class as the control class. Data collection using Instrument concept understanding ability test. Data analysis techniques using Ancova. The results showed that there was the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on the conceptual comprehension ability of seventh grade students in Bengkulu City 16 Junior High School at 80.50% with an average of 82.75 and there was an effect of an initial ability of 60.50% with an average average of 82.80. It can be concluded that the ability to understand students' concepts is better by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model.

Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Salafiyah Darul Falah Mataram yang berjumlah 153 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII B dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain pre-eksperimen (One Group Pretest Postest Design). Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan teknik cluster  random sampling . Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t test Sampel Related. Hasil perhitungan uji-t tes Sampel Related  didapatkan  sebesar dan sebesar dengan taraf signifikan . Karena , maka menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Teachers Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model for students' math problem solving skills. The population in this study is the students of grade VIII SMP Salafiyah Darul Falah Mataram, amounting to 153 students. The sample in this research is class VIII B with the number of 28 students. The type of research used is quantitative research, with pre-experiment design (One Group Pretest Postest Design). The sampling technique is using cluster random sampling technique. Technique of data analysis using test-t test Sampel Related. The result of t-test calculation of Sample Related test obtained t_hitung equal to 19,01 and t_table equal to 2,052 with significant level 5%. Because t_hitung≥t_tabel, then show that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model effective to student's math problem solving ability.

Research on the effect of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu has been done. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu. The type of research was a quasi-experimental study non-randomized design with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was conducted with a purposive sampling technique. The study sample was students in class X MIA 6 as an experimental group (n = 22) and students in class X MIA 3 as a control group (n = 22). The data testing of students' learning outcomes used a non-parametric statistical analysis, the analysis of Mann-Whitney U-Test. The research results indicated that the mean value of the experiment class was high compared to the control class, 22.61 >18.39. The statistical analysis obtained that sig. 2-tailed (0,032) ˂ 0.05 and Zcalculation (-2.149) ˂ Ztable (-1.96). The average value of the experiment class was 82.95 while the average value of the control class was 73.64. So it can be concluded that there is the effect of applying the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes.

<p>The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of learning models to student achievement. Learning models compared between NHT-CTL, NHT and direct instruction. Method of research used quasi experimental with the factorial design of 3x1. Population of this research was all students class VIII in SMP Negeri at Madiun City. The sampling technique using a stratified cluster random sampling. Samples in this research were 266 students with 91 students as experimental class I, 88 students as experimental class II and 87 students as control class. Data collection methods used documentation and test.Hypothesis testing was performed using one-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. Based on the results of hypothesis testwere concluded that NHT-CTL learning model gave better achievement than NHT learning model and direct instruction, while NHT learning model and direct instruction gave the same achievement. </p>

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini yaitu masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) yang juga sebagai alternatif solusi permasalahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent group pretest-postest design. Instrumen berbentuk tes literasi matematis berupa tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Cianjur tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang tersebar dalam sembilan kelas, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII D sebanyak 27 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBI), dan VIII C sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelas control dengan pembelajaran biasa. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI).  Peningkatan tersebut lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan peningkatan pada siswa dengan pembelajaran biasa.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Problem Based Instruction, PBI.  Mathematical Literacy Ability Students through Problem Based Instruction Learning ModelsAbstractThe background of this research is low mathematical literacy ability. The purpose of this research is to find out the differences in increasing students’ mathematical literacy ability between those who use the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model as an alternative solution to the problem and who use ordinary learning. A method in this research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The instruments are a mathematical literacy instrument consisting of the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). The population in this study were all students at SMP Negeri 5 Cianjur in year 2018/2019 that spread into 9th grade, while the samples chosen with purposive sampling technique were two classes, namely VIII D class as the experimental class which is given Problem Based Learning (PBI) and VIII C as the control class with ordinary learning. Based on the tests of mathematical literacy abilities that have been analyzed it is found that there are differences in mathematical literacy skills students who applied the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model is were better than ordinary learning. The increase is better when compared to the increase in students with ordinary learning.Keywords: Mathematical literacy ability, Problem Based Instruction, PBI.

One ability that students must master is problem solving. Increasing students’ problem-solving ability will improve their mindset. The alternative used to increase students’ problem-solving ability is applying Problem Based Learning model. This study aims to understand the presence or absence of the application of the model of the application of Problem Based Learning to the problem solving of students of class VII PGRI (Equated) Sungguminasa. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design of the Control Posttest Group. The population in this study in all VII class SMP PGRI (Disamakan) Sungguminasa and selected class VII A as an experimental class with consultations with the Problem Based Learning model and class VII C as a control class with training in direct learning models involving the community. The technique of collecting data in this study is the test then analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics using the t test (Independent Sample t-test). Based on the results of the study concluded that the Problem Based Learning model determines the problem-solving abilities of students of class VII SMP PGRI (Disamakan) Sungguminasa.AbstrakSalah satu kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa adalah pemecahan masalah. Meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah akan berpengaruh pada peningkatan mindset siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI (Disamakan) Sungguminasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain Control Group Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh kelas VII SMP PGRI (Disamakan) Sungguminasa dan terpilih kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model Problem Based Learning dan kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran langsung yang mewakili populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji t (Independent Sample t-test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI (Disamakan) Sungguminasa.

This study aims to determine the effect of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic seminar method to the student’s learning result in the heat topic of second semester X Class of SMA Negeri 8 Medan T.P 2013/2014. This research is quasi experimental with research design is Two Group Pretes-Postes Design. The  population in this research was all students in class X which consists of 12 classes and the totaled is 343 students. Class X-8 and X-7 were chosen as an experimental class and control class with random sampling technique. Instrument learning results were contain of multiple-choice tests and observation sheet of student activity in the classroom. Average data of pre-test experimental class and control class are 44,33 and 40,33. In both classes, the pretest data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The ability of students at the beginning of both classes are same as analyzed by t-test. After treatment,the data of learning achievement using posttest, shows average yield of experimental class and control class are 70,17 and 56,50, which are normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on t-test, Ha was accepted and reveal that there is significant influence of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic Seminar method to the student learning outcomes. Keywords   :           classroom discussion, Socratic seminar, quasi experiment, learning results

The purpose of this research is to know if there are: (1) the influence of PMRI approach to the problem-solving ability of mathematical learners; (2) the influence between multiple intelligences capability categories of mathematical problem solving abilities; (3) there is an interaction between PMRI approach with multiple intelligences on mathematical problem solving ability. This research is a quasi-experimental design research with 2 × 3 factorial design. Sampling technique in this research use probability sampling with cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is the test of mathematical problem-solving ability and multiple intelligences questionnaire. The resulting data of mathematical problem-solving test were analyzed by using another test of two different cell paths. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is an influence of PMRI approach to students' mathematical problem solving ability; (2) there is influence between categories of multiple intelligences ability in mathematical problem solving ability; (3) there is no interaction between PMRI approach with multiple intelligences on mathematical problem solving ability.
