While co-operatives are traditionally associated with workers, consumers, and farmers, the business model, with its emphasis on democracy and community, has also been adopted by small business owners, the self-employed, and professionals. These business co-operatives are distinct phenomenon, because they primarily consist of independent organizational entities that are not co-operatives and are generally in direct competition with one another. They are unique in that they bring together separate organizations that seek to combat market threats while adopting a philosophy based on co-operative principles. This article begins with an overview of the Australian co-operative landscape. It then defines the concept of business co-operatives and then draws upon the Visual Atlas of Australian Co-operatives History Project, which has developed a large database of Australian co-operatives over time and space, to examine the development of business co-operatives in Australia. It looks at where business co-operatives formed in the economy, the motivation underlying their formation, their average life spans, and their relationships with the broader co-operative movement. The article highlights the value of business co-operatives in introducing the values of participatory democracy and working for the common good into unanticipated markets and reinforcing the co-operative movement.

The AD indeed is based on an accommodation solution with rooms distributed in various buildings across a village. The purpose of this study is to analyze the AD business model supporting the development of this emerging business opportunity in the accommodation industry. Design/methodology/approach The research is conducted with a multiple case study approach, collecting data from different sources such as semi-structured interviews and archival research. The cases are all located in Italy where the AD was applied for the first time. Findings The AD business model is based on business idea, value creation and innovation. The business idea is based on the aim to contribute to the renaissance of a village with an emotional link between the entrepreneur and the village. Regarding the value creation, the AD is a form of accommodation that offers more than a hotel experience. The tourist can live like a resident and experiencing local traditions and culture. The innovation is indeed related to the services that are totally different from a traditional hotel. Originality/value Considering the previous studies, this research tries to fill the gap concerning the necessity to define the characteristics of the AD business model and to understand the key elements at the base of this hospitality approach.

PPK FTI activities is a manifestation of the application of one of the faculty visions, namely entrepreneurship, which is then also supported by ristekbrin through a community service funding scheme. One of the outputs of this activity was to produce 6 viable tenants and became the essential thing in this PPK FTI activity. Several stages were passed, starting from administrative selection until 20 tenants were obtained to participate in the training which would later be selected again into 6 tenants. Sociopreneur mindset training is important in this KDP activity because, in addition to the spirit of empowerment, doing business must also provide benefits to others. In addition, sharia aqad is also a training material because buying and selling aqad is the key to the start of the business process where to be taken. In essence, doing business is about the benefits of the world and savings in the afterlife. Some obstacles were experienced during online training, such as signals and voices, but these did not dampen the tenant's enthusiasm for participating in the training. Most of the tenants were able to receive well and were satisfied with the training material so that it could be practiced in their entrepreneurial activities.

Abstract   The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide physical condition training to novice athletes, training programs for physical trainers at Padepokan Judo Ksatria Bhayangkara (PJKB). This training needs to be done because the training process is still minimal. Trainers have the obligation to provide training and make athletes excel, but there are still limitations in doing so. Training for novice athletes is still very much needed because of the lack of planning and maturity in carrying out training activities both in terms of training material and from the intensity given. Higher education as an institution that produces trainers and educators, as well as an organization that organizes community service activities, has a moral obligation to carry out coaching and training. For this reason, community service programs providing athlete training are the way to be taken to overcome this problem. Activities include physical condition training. The material discussed is the judo training program. The training is planned to be held on October to December 2020. The purpose of the article is to present an example of a diagnostic tool for identifying the competence gap of representatives of the “Z” generation who want to conduct business in the e-business model. The first part presents the characteristics of the “Z” generation (Gen-Z) based on studies of Polish and foreign literature. Groups of individual professional competences important for e-business owners were also identified, which were developed on the basis of the results of personal research carried out in 2018 by the CAWI method. The methodological part presents the construction and application of the "e_BIS" tool, which can be used to diagnose the current state and development of competences, broken down into competences: business (B), IT (I) and strategic leadership (S). Based on preliminary analyses, it was formulated that the presented tool can be useful both in education (secondary and higher) and on the labour market to properly shape the individual professional competences of representatives of the “Z” generation.
