In addressing mounting environmental problems in recent years, many Iranian environmentalists have increasingly adapted discourses and implemented programs that are modeled on scientific ecology. Does this mean the verbatim transfer of Western scientific modernity in Iran? My analyses suggest otherwise. This article explores the unique ways in which a burgeoning environmental awareness unfolds in Iranian contexts by investigating how conceptions of "nature" shape the environmentalists' discourses and practices. It appears that an ecological scientific conception of nature is becoming an important frame of reference among such environmentalists. However, another conception of nature-one framed in relation to Iranian nationhood-makes a key contribution to environmentalism in Iran. Drawing on fieldwork conducted in 2009-2011 in Tehran, this study demonstrates how "Iranian nature" is delineated and practiced through the environmentalists' (re)engagements with certain objects-maps, posters, and photographs-in relation to which local ways of conceptualizing nature are elaborated.

The study focuses on the naturalistic intelligences from one of Multiple Intelligences Theory by Howard Gardner. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between naturalistic intelligence with environmental awareness on graduate students at University of Indonesia. In this study, naturalistic intelligence is the independent variable while environmental awareness is the dependent variable. The students who were selected randomly will be given a questionnaire as a research instrument. Afterward, a correlation analysis was conducted with Spearmann test. This study shows that environmental science students had high naturalistic intelligence and good environmental awareness. The analysis shows that there is a strength and significant correlation between the naturalistic intelligence with environmental awareness among graduate students with the value of coefision correlation is 0,754. The students who interest in flora and fauna, understanding the environmental problems, enjoy outdoor activities, have scientific hobbies and concern to the change of environmental will also have a high awareness of the environment. The article analyzes the assessment of the ecological state of the territory by its population in a small town to study the state of public environmental awareness. According to official data, the city of Yelets and the Lipetsk region in general face a significant number of unresolved environmental problems against the background of a quite stable ecological situation. Given the general complex ecological situation in the region, the assessment of the ecological situation in specific settlements, rooted in the local agenda, can be radically different. This allows us to speak about the primary attention of the population to their local place of residence and the problems they face directly. The involvement of the population in the activities to preserve the environment of the region as a whole requires promoting public environmental awareness through a competent environmental policy by state and municipal authorities.

Most environmental problems are due today to actions and activities generated by man to the environment; and the lack of environmental awareness is mostly due to lack of information, and results in the lack of involvement and environmental practices. Environmentally sound actions and knowledge are the results of the individual’s experiences throughout his life. Thus, environmental perception studies may help to find the level of awareness, in the face of the problems that have impact on the environment (Cunha & Cannan, 2015).

Community in the 21st  was faced with a number of challenges, one of which was environmental problems and how to survive in the 21st century. For this reason, there were two important things to be developed, namely an environmentally caring attitude and an interest in entrepreneurship. The development of both should be facilitated by lectures on Environmental Knowledge. This research is intended to analyze the environmental care attitude and interest in student entrepreneurship. The research method used was descriptive qualitative and data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study are 1) The attitude of caring for the student's environment needs to be improved; 2) The interest in student entrepreneurship is very high so it needs to be facilitated through learning that invites students to practice the skills that have been taught. The results of this study are expected to be a foothold in how to develop learning to support the development of environmental awareness and interest in student entrepreneurship.

Plastic pollution, a global problem, contributes to detrimental impacts on the environment. To mitigate plastic pollution locally, farmers’ market scan play a role in reducing plastic consumption. Many studies have suggested that customers and vendors are aware of environmental problems. Yet vendor environmental awareness does not always result in appropriate actions, as many vendors still rely on plastic packaging. To investigate the reasons for such reliance, I conducted vendor interviews and a customer survey at the Prince George (B.C.) Farmers’ Market. The results show that the barriers to reducing plastic include packaging availability, characteristics, functions, and price. Based on interview results, I developed a manual to support vendors interested in reducing plastic packaging at their stalls. I also offer recommendations as to how policy makers can motivate vendors and customers to reduce plastic consumption, such as offering customers reusable bags and organizing plastic-free events.

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program in sustainable development practices based on problem solving for the development of environmental awareness and volunteer work skills of students of the Faculty of Science and Humanities at the University of Sattam Bin Abdul Aziz. The study used the semi-experimental method. The researcher used two tools (environmental awareness scale,  attitude test). The study sample consisted of (45) female students of scientific departments at the University of Sattam Bin Abdul Aziz in Aflaj and Aldalm governorates. The results showed the effectiveness of the training program in developing the environmental awareness and volunteer work skills of the students of the study group. The value of "T" on the scale of awareness of total environmental problems (8.325),  which is a statistical value at the level of significance (α = 0.01),  and the value of "T" in the test of attitudes to the skills of volunteer work (24.7) α = 0.01). The results revealed a statistically significant relationship between awareness of environmental problems and volunteer work skills (0.81). In light of the results,  a number of recommendations and proposals were presented to increase environmental awareness and volunteer work skills among Saudi youth.
