Teaching and learning process is an integral in the achievement of human resources who have the skills in the field in accordance with the goals of a college. Students who undergo the study other than he get the knowledge in the field that he studied, will also be given the learning experience given the task by the lecturer supervisor of the course and then the results are feasible for the percentage of campus forums with tools and complete electronic media. Nowadays, the percentage becomes the obstacle by students to get the perfect score, because the percentage is related to the presentation slide which is interesting and easy to understand by the audience. The percentage slide also becomes an assessment at the moment of presentation in front of the class forum, the student is not yet understand how to make an interesting and effective presentation so that the idea is well conveyed. In addition, students also difficult to make a presentation with a combination of images and writing because it has not got the skills to design the slide so much the results of the presentation of what is with a fairly satisfactory percentage value. In today's digital age, it can be said that any profession of someone in the world of organization, both business world and academic world can not be separated from the necessity to do the exposure to explain the purpose of a problem or information. Ability to present good information with an attractive means is necessary to get the ideas and ideas to the person who received the information. Good presentation skills, interesting and informative is needed everyone so that ideas or ideas can be easily understood. One of the media presentations to make the ideas submitted so more informative and interesting is to use Ms. Power point.

In the academic world "Real learning" in any form is an active interaction of human mind with past experience, and that relates to man, machine, materials and ideas. Therefore any teaching and learning process should be aimed at providing ample scope for the learners mind to interact and acquire fruitful experience. Only through this active interaction, the learners and educators can reconstruct his/her experience in light of new experience leading to "Real learning".  This enables to enhance the competency, tenacity and inquisitiveness among the scholars.  A dedicated and focused approach towards different teaching and learning experience of educators from different parts of the world, especially from the Middle East has been widely discussed in this Special Issue of general Education Conference.

This chapter aligns the tenets of critical pedagogy with current practices of assessment in the United States. The author posits that critical pedagogy is an appropriate lens through which to view assessment, and argues against the hegemonic practices that support marginalization of students. Grounded in critical theory and based on Marxist ideals, the content supports the notion of teaching and learning as a partnership where the desire to empower and transform the learner, and open possibilities for the learner to view the world and themselves in that world, are primary goals. Political mandates to evaluate teacher performance and student learning are presented and discussed. In addition to the formative and summative assessments that teachers routinely do to students, the author suggests integrative assessment, where students with the teacher reflect together on the learning experience and its outcomes. The chapter includes specific examples from the author’s own teaching that operationalize the ideas presented.

One of the formal education pathways that prepare its graduates to have excellence in the world of work is Vocational High Schools (SMK). Current problems in SMK are generally related to limited equipment, low practice costs, and a learning environment that is not suitable for the world of work. Education is carried out to achieve human resources with the ability to think which is formulated as "Higher Order Thinking Skills" (HOTS) which aims to form human resources with the ability to innovate and be able to solve problems. In developing CBI-based learning models, there are learning models that aim to provide a concrete learning experience through the creation of imitations of experiences that are closer to the actual atmosphere. Computer-based learning is strongly influenced by cognitive learning theory, a model of information processing that began to develop in the 60s and 70s.

People use different promotional tools to promote their products and services so that other people come to know about those products and services and their benefits. For this promotion,both print and electronic media are very important tools nowadays. The world is on its peak, people are developed and have become modern thinkers and so did the media. The media has made it a point to the people of this world that we are your need and you will only develop more by using us and avoiding the media will prove harmful for you.It is worth noticing that participation and involvement of females in these promotional campaigns is also considered as very important. Whereas, females have nothing to do with the promotion of a product or service and the objectives of a promotional campaign can also be achieved without their involvement in it. Islam has given clear orders for females to cover themselves and appear modest at all times. The temptation of unnecessary involvement of females with males in social activities has been condemned in the teachings of Islam. In the light of these orders by Al Mighty ALLAH, the participation and involvement of females in the promotional campaigns of products and services will be totally against the spirit of Islam. This is because these promotional campaigns use a female's facial and physical beauty to sell a product or service, which spreads moral and ethical corruption in the society. Therefore, this is a condemnable act in the light of teachings of Islam and it must be avoided.

The maxim of the moment and for the new millennium (at least for now) is that “after 9/11 the world changed.” Focused, amplified, and projected by the media, the September 2001 events have echoed with an apparent immensity and a rending of the global geopolitical fabric that merit comparison with Waterloo in June 1815 and Sarajevo in June 1914. In each case, an epoch is said to have ended, the first by conventional battle in concert with peace conventions that ended several decades of global conflict, the latter two with acts of terrorism that precipitated global wars of vastly differing intensities and probable durations. Each of these turning points in global history has, of course, its own character, dynamics, and contexts, which largely transcend the narrower episodes and scenes that constitute the intersections of drugs, war, and peace. Nevertheless, one of the persistent and little-noticed elements in the history and geography of warfare during the past half millennium has been the role played by psychoactive substances. With the exception of the Sino-British Opium Wars (1830s–1840s), drugs as aids or obstacles, let alone causal factors, of war have been largely overlooked. Yet even a cursory overview, as presented here, should establish the contours of a topic that merits in-depth attention. Here we have only the space to point to some key instances and promising case studies. Future researchers may find these useful points of departure. The three pivotal events noted earlier, plus October 1492 as the antecedent and fourth key moment, mark a fivefold periodization that provides a convenient way of framing the differing historical relations between drugs and warfare. Prior to Europe’s transatlantic expansion and the coeval eruption of capitalism across the globe, the varying articulations between drugs and war were largely local, individual, and particular. With the rise of long-distance trade networks structured by mercantile capitalism, prime commodities such as sugar and tropical spices launched European-based empires and provoked wars from the East Indies to the West Indies, as well as points north and south.

The pandemic that has hit the world has forced us to do learning indirectly or is often referred to as online (Daring). Online teaching and learning process requires some adjustments both on the teacher's side and the student's side. One of the adjustments is the need to seek technology and adaptation using technology. The currently widely used technology is online meeting services, such as the Zoom Meeting application, Google Meet, Video Calling via the Massager application, or other similar applications. To adapt to the technology, teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 01 Pekanbaru strongly desire to deepen ownership of the Zoom application as one of the media used for online learning. This training aims to provide an understanding and hands-on practice of using Zoom Meeting technology to increase learning effectiveness.

New York's twin tower bombings, popularly referred to as 9/11, are regarded as a watershed period in world affairs. It happened at the cusp of the new century and its impact, since then, has been enormous, for it radically changed many aspects of human life. Both the print and the electronic media were pivotal in these changes. Besides shaping the way that communities perceive others, it also influenced the manner in which communities are dealing with one another. Since a radical Muslim group was blamed for this dastardly deed and since Muslims were implicated for this reprehensible act, the secular media expectedly placed the Muslims - in majority and minority settings - around the world under the spotlight. The media's negative portrayal and reporting about Muslims did not only contribute towards a tendentious relationship between the media and the Muslims but it also contributed towards the spread of Islamophobia. This thus caused Muslims in both majority and minority settings to adopt a skeptical view of the role of the secular media. Considering these developments, this essay's focus turns to the South African print media that reported and analyzed their reporting of this event during that period. Since it is beyond this essay's scope to look at all the country' s daily and weekly tabloids, it restricted itself to two widely circulated South African weekly newspapers, namely the Sunday Times and Mail & Guardian. It first describes and discusses their front-page reports as they captured the tragic 9/11 event, before it reflects on their editorials -columns providing one with insights into the respective editors' understanding of this event and their perceptions of Muslims nationally and globally. Being a purely textual study, it conceptualizes Islamophobia as the essay's conceptual frame.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic forced the world to respond in new and unconventional ways. Quick thinking and unusual flexibility were required whilst operating under conditions of uncertainty and fear. This article deals with agility in the implementation of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic as it occurred at Ohalo College of Education with the outbreak of the epidemic in Israel in March 2020. Within 48 hours from the moment that Israel’s government announced a nation-wide lockdown, the College shifted from frontal teaching and learning to social distancing and distance teaching. The College adopted agile leadership that led to moving 700 courses to distance learning and teaching, with 150 lecturers and 1,500 students in their homes; the semester continued, but differently, in light of the lockdown and limitations ordered by the government. It is clear that such swift organization, executed with maximum flexibility, did not benefit from proper planning and was far perfect. This article offers a look at academic agility as demonstrated during the transition of a college of education to distance learning under emergency conditions. It will be examined through an analysis of survey responses from students. The goal of the survey was to assess students’ attitudes toward the implementation of this strategy.

Works discussed in Chapter 3 includeFrom Casablanca to Locarno: Love Updated by the Internet and Electronic Media (1995),Time-Out (1998), The Techno-Wedding (1999), The Center of the World (1999), Territorial Outings (2001), Meat: The Territory of the Body and the Networked Body (2002), Memory Pictures (2005), The Experimental Research Center of the Territory (2008), The Traders’ Ball (2010), Ego Cyberstar and the Problem of Identity (2010), Ebb and Flow: The Internet Cave (2011), and Sociological Walk with Google Glass (2014). Chapter 3 also explains Forest’s unique position in the acrimonious “Quarrel of Contemporary Art” (Querelle de l’art contemporain) that raged among French intellectuals and in the media in the 1990s and early 2000s and highlights his contributions to France’s annual Internet Festival, which he helped create.

AbstractLearning mathematics is very important for students, based on the learning objectives of mathematics in primary to secondary education, namely to prepare students to always develop logically, rationally, critically, accurately, honestly, efficiently and effectively in the world of education. The media can increase and direct the attention of students so that it can lead to learning motivation, more direct interaction between students and their environment and the ability of students to learn on their own according to their abilities. Therefore we need a learning media that can visualize objects from cartesian coordinate material. One such visual media is Power Point which can be used to visualize work objects from mathematics. This study aims to produce learning media that can be understood by students and to determine student interest in learning by using a microscope-based powerpoint learning media on cartesian coordinate material. The method used in research is research and development and the collection technique used is direct observation. The results of trials conducted, Microsoft PowerPoint based learning media were able to attract student interest in learning.Keywords: Microsoft Powerpoint, cartesian coordinate.
