One of the most important things in the work process is the presentation of information that is fast and accurate. Data is processed in a short time, it will increase work efficiency, one of which is by using the system to process and display data into information. Information systems are needed considering technology is growing and now people are required to use more technology to reduce activities outside the home. Problems that often arise are the tight location of registration and the length of service for one registrant due to filling out registration forms and screening examinations for new students. In addition, the large accumulation of registration and trial files also takes a long time so that announcements of new student graduations cannot be made. The goal is to build a new student admission information system for all faculties at the Indonesian Methodist University, reduce applicants who come to the registration location, reduce the use of paper registration forms, help submit and fill in student data, conduct online screening exams, provide information on new student registration, schedule and payment of tuition fees. The result of this initialization is building a new student registration information system using the Codeigniter Framework and Application Programming Interface (API).   Index Terms—Application Programming Interface (API); Codeigniter framework; information systems; online registration

A secure academic information system is part of the college. The security of academic information systems is very important to maintain information optimally and safely. Along with the development of technology, academic information systems are often misused by some irresponsible parties that can cause threats. To prevent these things from happening, it is necessary to know the extent to which the security of the academic information system of universities is conducted by evaluating. So the research was conducted to determine the Maturity Level on the governance of the security of University Ahmad Dahlan academic information system by using the COBIT 5 framework on the DSS05 domain. The DSS05 domain on COBIT 5 is a good framework to be used in implementing and evaluating related to the security of academic information systems. Whereas to find out the achievement of evaluation of academic information system security level, CMMI method is needed. The combination of the COBIT 5 framework on the DSS05 domain using the CMMI method in academic information system security is able to provide a level of achievement in the form of a Maturity Level value. The results of the COBIT 5 framework analysis of the DSS05 domain use the CMMI method to get a Maturity level of 4,458 so that it determines the achievement of the evaluation of academic information systems at the tertiary level is Managed and Measurable. This level, universities are increasingly open to technological developments. Universities have applied the quantification concept in each process, and are always monitored and controlled for performance in the security of academic information systems.

AbstractStudies by the author based upon a sample of over 1.1 million patients in the North West of England have shown that the introduction of computers cannot be demonstrated to produce significant improvements in health promotion activity. Other studies have revealed error rates in health-care information systems in excess of 50%. This paper considers the reasons for these findings and demonstrate that there is a level of maturity of information management required before information systems can make a significant contribution to health promotion and evaluation. With the advent of locality commissioning and a re-affirmation of the emphasis upon health promotion activity set out in Health of the Nation and Our Healthier Nation [8], the role of information management has become even more significant. The paper presents a maturity model developed by the author, known as General Practice Information Maturity Model (GPIMM) that provides a strategic framework to improve the use of information by practices and to improve practice to enable viable sharing of accurate information. The paper will show the model can be used as a basis for the development of training and information strategies. The model identifies computerised practices as being in one of five stages of maturity: (1) Computerised, (2) Computerised PHC Team, (3) Coded, (4) Bespoke, (5) Paperless. The model specifically leads practices to a point in their development where they are able to carry out health evaluation, promotion and audit activities as a routine activity. Once these activities form part of practice activity they are then extended to encompass a group of practices such as a Primary Care Group. Finally, a case study is presented to show how the model was used to enable two very different but geographically neighbouring practices to work together towards the establishment of a common dataset. This dataset will be used to enable health promotion and evaluation activity to be provided for a total population of over 20,000 patients.
