The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Research methods. The research uses dialectical methods of scientific knowledge of the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture, primarily analysis and synthesis. Empirical methods of cognition, such as description, measurement and comparison, were also used to characterize the quantitative indicators of indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Statistical index and correlation-regression methods were used for the analysis of sustainable development indices. Research results. In the process of disclosing theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture, it is established that in determining indicators and indices of sustainability of entrepreneurship should make maximum use of existing national and sectoral systems for monitoring and assessing the national economy integration with the possibility of their supplementation and full integration. All calculations should be performed by analyzing statistical reporting and summary statistical indicators of entrepreneurship in agriculture. The system of indicators with which to judge the individual aspects of business development should be built by dividing it into groups - environmental, social and economic. All indices should be built on the methods of integrated and aggregate indices, which can be used to comprehensively judge the development of entrepreneurship in agriculture and the country as a whole. Such indicators should be divided into economic-ecological, ecological-social, socio-economic groups and a separate index of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Scientific novelty. The main theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture are revealed and the scheme of their construction is proposed and the list of the main indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture by components is given. Practical significance. The presented theoretical and methodological approaches should be used as a basis for building indices and indicators of sustainable business development.

Research results. The theoretical provisions and methodological approaches to the formation of the concept of a bio-oriented economy, as well as its place in the context of sustainable development, are generalized. Scientific novelty. The concept of bio-oriented economics has become further developed, the purpose of the implementation of which in the context of sustainable development is recognized to satisfy the demand and needs of society in the process of realization in the biomass market produced on the basis of a bio oriented economy. In the context of increasing global environmental challenges associated with anthropogenic destructive impact on the environment, the bioeconomic direction of sustainable development in combination with a closed production cycle becomes relevant, the development of which would help to overcome the imbalance of the ecological and economic system and minimise the burden on the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehensively consider the prerequisites for the establishment of a framework of categories for combining green concepts of sustainable development, in particular, to substantiate the theoretical and methodological foundations for interpreting the fundamental features of circular bioeconomy to form a specific vision of the issue. The methodological basis of the study is general scientific and special theoretical and empirical methods, in particular inductive and deductive, heuristic method, graphic, analysis and synthesis, etc. At the empirical level, descriptive, comparative, and observational approaches are used. The theoretical level covers the historical, abstract-logical, hypothetical, formalisation method as a manifestation of logical thinking and theoretical generalisation for formulating the results of the study. This study systematises the ideas of leading scientists on the positioning of circular economy and bioeconomy, highlights similarities and differences in the process of combining concepts, identifies fundamental generic and specific features, establishes complementary relationships to generate the author's position and formulate a fundamental vision of the problems of circular bioeconomy. The practical significance of the study is conditioned by scientific substantiation of the terminological platform of the problems of circular bioeconomy. Further research is aimed at developing criteria for regulating the bioeconomic system with subsequent evaluation of results

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report (2007) concluded that the globally averaged net effect of human activities since 1750 has been one of the sources of global warming. The Stern Report (2007) corroborates this statement and states that anthropogenic CO2 influences the climate and stresses that the cost of mitigating against climate change is significantly lower than the cost of climate change. The Tata group companies have been actively seeking out experiences of other global companies to develop an effective action plan against climate change. The present paper seeks to review the role of the Tata group in addressing and abating the climate change. It further looks at the various Tata group companies like Tata Chemicals Limited, Tata Steel Europe, Tata Communications and Tata Motors and their ways to stay the course towards sustainable development

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to examine the role and scope of the influence of leadership on the sustainable development of SMEs. Research methods included the theoretical analysis of scientific literature and a direct survey. The quantitative sample for analysis contained 138 managers, the representatives of companies (SMEs) located in Poland. The data was collected in November and December 2015.The obtained results show that leadership is one of the key aspects that enable sustainability. It is more important than employee approval, beliefs of employees from individual departments and teams, a long-term strategy for the sustainable development of the company, approval by external stakeholders, and substantial financial resources. There is a statistically significant relationship between taking action related to sustainable business in the company and manager’s conviction (awareness) regarding the concept of sustainable business development as well as the influence of the manager on employees and the stimulation of their behaviour, including their development, decent treatment, communication with the manager, and the system of rewards and promotions. Managers undertake some action aimed at developing their employees. They also establish relationships with external stakeholders. The paper presents theoretical reflections on the relationship between the sustainable business development of SMEs and leadership, also verified by the empirical study conducted among managers of private companies. The findings of the study contribute to the understanding of the connections between these constructs. The relationship between the creation of sustainable business development is analysed in depth with reference to SMEs. Entrepreneurs and managers of SMEs can benefit from the study in order to build an organisation capable of achieving effective and sustainable development.

The article presents the results of the analysis of the elements of business models of spa tourism enterprises in the context of the principles of sustainable development in tourism business. In the process of defining individual rules for tourist enterprises, an approach based on sustainable tourism criteria and an attempt to adjust them to individual conditions resulting from the specifics of the tourist business activity being carried out was proposed. The characteristics of the individual components of business models were based on the results of interviews conducted in 17 tourism enterprises. The CANVAS scheme was used to examine the structure of the business model. It was found that the business models of spa tourism enterprises not only fail to conform to the principles of sustainable development, but are also not used as managerial tools. Their knowledge among managers is very poor. The analysis was supplemented with additional roles played by Polish sanatoriums in preventing the SARS-Cov2 virus pandemic. The research also revealed an example of cooperation between several spa companies, in the framework of coopetition and exchange of knowledge and services, which can be considered as the initiation of cooperation based on open innovation.

Over the past years, increasing attention is paid to sustainability and sustainable development, where three main components – economic, society and environment are not independent but interrelate with each other and seek compromise. Human and environmental wellbeing are goals to be achieved, but economic wellbeing is a factor enabling sustainability and providing it over time. On the way towards sustainability, one of important fields that have not been discussed sufficiently in Latvia is individual heating for households. To evaluate it, one can use quantitative indicators that point towards successful outcomes and conclusions for policy makers?. In the concept of sustainable development indicators play an important role because they indicate the relevant issue timely and based on outcomes it could be determined what needs to be done to achieve the goal. The aim of this paper is to determine the current situation in the energy sector in Latvia in order to establish indicators for monitoring sustainable development in the individual heating sector. The paper presents the results of statistical data analysis for the use of wood fuel in households.
