Blockchain technology could radically transform our business environment in the decades to come. It has the power to redefine our views of business processes and may even impact our overall economy. The works comprehensively document the implementation of blockchain applications in various sectors. Our goal is to determine what state blockchain technology is in and what kinds of applications it has. A large majority of the current blockchain-related research is dedicated to crypto currencies, such as Bitcoin. Only a small percentage of work is dedicated to exploring the wide range of potential blockchain technology applications. Blockchain technology has multiple applications across multiple industries. This study attempts to determine the opportunities and threats presented by Blockchain Technology for current or future applications. The number of published studies that were studied carefully and critically and added to the Block chain’s body of knowledge was large.

In this paper, we are interested in the knowledge that is “wasted” in organizations, that is existing relevant knowledge that is overlooked in the process of knowledge conversion. Given the competitive pressure firms are facing in today´s business environment, a waste of knowledge is not only costly but also dangerous. This means that we consider knowledge from a knowledge at risk perspective. Having this in mind, the purpose of this paper is to review research on knowledge waste in organizations to establish our current body of knowledge regarding this topic. The study consists of a systematic review of 51 peer-reviewed articles addressing knowledge waste in organizations. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, no systematic literature review on this topic has previously been published or presented. The topic seems to be a promising field for intensive research and offers a variety of future research avenues. In view of practitioners, the study´s finding may enable an increased awareness towards the areas where existing knowledge is at the mercy of “waste”. This can assist practitioners to better cope with risks related to this waste and, therefore, better exploit the (limited) knowledge base available.

The widespread use of sensorial technologies has created new opportunities for enterprises, as these new sources of data assist in increasing the context-awareness in which enterprises operate and enable them to better anticipate and adapt to changes in the business environment. This leads to better decision-making and greater profitability, as well as to reduced operating risks. However, if enterprises are to get any benefit from these new data sources, there is a need for tools, which will enable them to deal with the complexity of the multitude of data sources, both from physical and virtual objects, as well as a means to extract relevant and correct information and knowledge from it. Having access to data is not enough. The real value to enterprises comes from being able to process it, interpret it and being able to make accurate forecasts upon which they can base their business decisions. This paper presents the blockchain technology which is intended to support the development of sensing enterprise systems for intelligent knowledge management. Since the creation of the internet, blockchain is the most important technology created that is in constant development and has still much more to develop. In a simple way, blockchain is a computational technology for register of operations, decentralized, free-access, transparent, global, continuous. It is a public database that is accessible for everyone and is much more secure and reliable than other forms currently known to perform similar operations. Thus, it is intended to demonstrate the importance of this recent technology in business processes and the future trends of its use in sensing enterprise business processes. The proposed framework intends to demonstrate and serve as the foundation for new business models supported by the new capabilities provided by sensorial technologies in the support of enterprise applications.

In the coming years, blockchain technologies may become one of the breakthrough innovations in the financial sector of the economy, optimizing and simplifying transaction operations in a number of areas, and reducing their cost. In this regard, representatives of the financial industry should understand the possible consequences caused by the integration of the technologies under consideration in business processes. It is important to understand that the blockchain technologies have a very significant potential for transforming the established algorithms for the interaction of financial market participants, and be aware where are the boundaries of these changes, what new opportunities are presented by blockchain technologies and. Furthermore, finally, what are the expected consequences for the development of the financial sector itself and the other sectors of the national economic system associated with it. It should be noted that studies on blockchain technologies are very fragmented and, as a rule, have an insufficient level of both theoretical and empirical study. It seems relevant at the present stage of the development of economic science to conduct a systematic study aimed at finding and substantiating the areas of economic activity that are most susceptible to penetration of blockchain technologies. This involves a further justification of the possible consequences and using methods that are not so much qualitative but of quantitative analysis. In this regard, the process of resolving the issues posed in order to minimize risks for financial and other organizations in the face of the opportunities and threats to come under the pressure of the integration of blockchain platforms into the business environment becomes a vital and urgent task. This research is devoted to the solution of the questions posed. Without claiming to be complete and perfect concerning the proposed mechanisms to solve the tasks, the work, in fact, is an invitation to the scientific community to develop further a methodology for studying the influence of blockchain technologies on the dynamics and parameters of the formation of economic growth rates.

Race has been one of the most controversial subjects studied by scholars across a wide range of disciplines as they debate whether races actually exist and whether race matters in determining life, social, and educational outcomes. Missing from the literature are investigations into various ways race gets applied in research, especially in higher education and student affairs. This review explores how scholars use race in their framing, operationalizing, and interpreting of research on college students. Through a systematic content analysis of three higher education journals over five years, this review elucidates scholars’ varied racial applications as well as potential implicit and explicit messages about race being sent by those applications and inconsistencies within articles. By better understanding how race is used in higher education and student affairs research, scholars can be more purposeful in their applications to reduce problematic messages about the essentialist nature of race and deficit framing of certain racial groups.
