According to the data of the World Health Organization, globally, in 2018, 18 million new cases of cancer were registered, of which 2.09 million (11.6%) were diagnosed with lung cancer and 9.6 million deaths, of which 1.76 million (18.4) are in lung cancer. The overall standardized incidence rate by age is 25% higher in men than in women. Statistical data taken from the Center for public health – Shtip,  shows that lung cancer is more common in men and more common in people aged 55-65, while in women there is no dominance of a certain age group. The total number of newly registered cases of lung cancer in Stip for 2016 is a total of 25. In 2017 the total number is 35 of which 30 of the patients are men, most of them are aged 55 to 65 years. In 2018 the total number is 22. The total number of newly registered cases of lung cancer in Shtip for 2019 is 7 of which are all registered in men, most are aged 45 to 54 and 65 to 75 years. Due to the frequency of this type of cancer, it is important to raise the awareness in people to prevent or detect the disease early, which improves the chances for a better prognosis and a better outcome of treatment.

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a faith scale for young children. Data were collected from 424 young children, who had not yet entered elementary school, with their parents rating their faith level. Sixty-five preliminary questions were formulated under three domains―knowing, loving, and living—that were based on existing studies related to faith. The questions were reduced to 40 through a content validity test conducted by a seven-member panel. These questions were subsequently refined through pilot study, main survey, and statistical analysis. After exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, the scale was finalized, comprising 25 questions that can be categorized into three factors: confessional faith life, missional life, and distinctive life. This scale is expected to measure early childhood faith and prove the effectiveness of Christian education programs on a young child’s faith development.

Background The HEADPOST Pilot is a proof-of-concept, open, prospective, multicenter, international, cluster randomized, phase IIb controlled trial, with masked outcome assessment. The trial will test if lying flat head position initiated in patients within 12 h of onset of acute ischemic stroke involving the anterior circulation increases cerebral blood flow in the middle cerebral arteries, as measured by transcranial Doppler. The study will also assess the safety and feasibility of patients lying flat for ≥24 h. The trial was conducted in centers in three countries, with ability to perform early transcranial Doppler. A feature of this trial was that patients were randomized to a certain position according to the month of admission to hospital. Objective To outline in detail the predetermined statistical analysis plan for HEADPOST Pilot study. Methods All data collected by participating researchers will be reviewed and formally assessed. Information pertaining to the baseline characteristics of patients, their process of care, and the delivery of treatments will be classified, and for each item, appropriate descriptive statistical analyses are planned with comparisons made between randomized groups. For the outcomes, statistical comparisons to be made between groups are planned and described. Results This statistical analysis plan was developed for the analysis of the results of the HEADPOST Pilot study to be transparent, available, verifiable, and predetermined before data lock. Conclusions We have developed a statistical analysis plan for the HEADPOST Pilot study which is to be followed to avoid analysis bias arising from prior knowledge of the study findings. Trial registration The study is registered under HEADPOST-Pilot, ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT01706094.

Introduction: Acute scrotum is a common surgical condition. Ultrasound along with Doppler plays an important role in differentiating the various causes. Purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of ultrasound in identifying the various causes of acute scrotum. Methods: All patients with history of acute scrotum presenting to the Department of Radiology were included in the study. Scrotal ultrasound was performed with a linear 7.5 to 12-MHz transducer with abundant acoustic gel. Imaging was done in longitudinal and transverse planes with Power Doppler and Color Doppler. The testes, epididymis, spermatic cord, scrotal wall and inguinal region were evaluated. Kidney, Ureter and Bladder region was evaluated for possibility of calculus. Final diagnosis was made based on clinical outcome, follow up, intraoperative findings and histopathology when available. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 18 for windows. Descriptive analysis was done. Non parametric correlation between side and torsion was done using Kendall Rank Correlation Coefficient. Results: There were altogether 50 patients available for statistical analysis. Age of the patients ranged from 14 to 65 years with mean age of 34.7±14.7 years. Most common age group was 21 to 40 years. Inflammatory pathology was the most common pathology of actual scrotal pain. There was no significant correlation between side of pain and testicular torsion. Conclusion: Inflammatory pathology was the most common cause for actual scrotal pain. The most common age group was 21 to 40 years.

Osteoporosis characterized by low bone mass/osteopenia can be identified using radiomorphometric indices in routine panoramic radiographs. This study estimates the prevalence of osteopenia in 50-80 years age group, using panoramic mandibular index (PMI), mental index (MI) and mandibular cortical index (MCI). PMI, MI and MCI were applied on 36 panoramic radiographs; MI and MCI were compared with PMI. The prevalence of osteopenia was 11.1% with PMI and 44.4% with MCI. Using MI, the prevalence was 2.8% and 33.3% with 3mm and 4.77mm threshold respectively. The prevalence of osteopenia detected was highest using MCI (44.4%). Considering PMI as gold standard, MI with 4.77 mm threshold showed better agreement with PMI.

Introduction In this study correlations between care burden, depression, and personality at intrapsychic level in caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease patients were evaluated. Materials and methods Caregivers: n.40. Tests: Social-schedule; CBI; BDI; SASB-Structural-Analysis of Social Behaviours- Form-A- intrapsychic behaviours (8 Cluster); ECOG. Patients:MMSE. Statistical analysis: Chi-squared test; Anova one way F test; Pearson’s R coefficient. Results Correlations: CBI-total and NPI(p < .001); CBI-total—ECOG (p = .042); CBI-total—BDI(p< .001); CBI- total-SASB-Cl7(p = .014); SASB-CL8(p<0.000); BDI and SASB-Cl 2 (p = .018), SASB-Cl 3 (p = .004), SASB-Cl7(p < .000), SASB-CL8 (p < .000). High CBI is correlated with high depression, neuropsychiatry symptoms, low cognitive patient’s functions. Caregivers have the following intrapsychic behaviors: poor self-care, poor ability to take care of themselves; they exercise control over themselves and do not consider and/or ignore their basic needs at emotional and physical levels. These intrapsychic behaviours are indicators of depression (SASB Model) and are correlated with high care burden–CBI and high depression-CDQ. Discussion Care burden is closely related to the depression and individual personality (intrapsychic experience) of the caregiver. This may reveal a source of strength and may suggest areas of multidimensional and psychotherapeutic interventions.

Introduction: Paediatric spinal anaesthesia is often the technique of choice in many short duration surgeries. However, the failure rate is higher with spinal anaesthesia in children than in adults. Aim: To evaluate if a non-touch technique of paediatric spinal anaesthesia can reduce anaesthetic failure. Materials and Methods: A pilot study was done in 10 paediatric patients from January 2018 to July 2018 in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry, India. Ten children posted for infra-umbilical surgeries in the age group of 4-10 years were given a sedative premedication with a combination of Pethidine and Midazolam They were kept in lateral position with the back much inside the edge of the table so that there was a considerable space between the table edge and the baby. Identification of the L3-L4 space was done by touching the patient. The 25-gauge quincke needle was pricked and the hub was held with the hand in the table without touching the patient. Results: The anaesthesia was successful with adequate level in all the patients; T8 in five patients and T10 in the other five patients. There were no significant side effects. Conclusion: From this pilot study on 10 patients, it can be suggested that the novel non-touch Partha’s technique is feasible and more successful with absent failure rate when administering spinal anaesthesia in the paediatric age group.

Monitoring high throughput distributed system by using a statistical analysis of the “historical time series” of an Instrumentation Data”. “The Pipeline has been made to process the information which can be otherwise called data pipeline, is a lot of information handling components associated in arrangement, where yield of one component is the contribution of the next one”. Several codes are giving different visualization for statistical analysis of data. “Network and Cloud Data Centers” generate a lot of data every second; this data can be gathered as period arrangement information. A timeseries is a grouping taken at progressive similarly dispersed focuses in time that implies at a particular time interval to a particular time, the estimations of explicit information that was taken is known as information of a time-series. “This time-series information can be gathered utilizing framework measurements like CPU, Memory, and Disk utilization”. The TICK and ELK Stack is abbreviation for a foundation of open source instruments worked “to make collection, storage, graphing, and alerting” on time arrangement data incredibly easy. As an information collector, using Telegraf, “for storing and analyzing” information and the time-series database InfluxDB and Elasticsearch. For plotting and visualizing used Grafana and Kibana. Watchman is utilized for alert refinement and once system metrics usage exceeds the specified threshold, the alert is generated and sends it to the Telegram.

Background. The study of the sensitive portion of the medial plantar nerve is relevant not only in the examination of patients with tibial nerve mononeuropathy or its branches, but also in the diagnosis of polyneuropathies. Objective: to analyze the normative parameters of the sensory potential recorded during the study of the medial plantar nerve by the orthodromic method in healthy adults.Materials and methods. 126 sensitive fibers of the medial plantar nerves were studied on the Dantec Keypoint G4 device (Denmark) in 63 healthy individuals (31 men and 32 women; age from 20 to 80 years). 3 groups were identified taking into account age: group 1 included healthy people aged 20 to 39 years (n = 23); group 2 consisted of people aged 40 to 60 years (n = 20); and 3 – older than 60 years (n = 20). The parameters of the sensory potential of the medial plantar nerve are analyzed.Results. The sensory potential in the study of the sensitive portion of the medial plantar nerve was registered in all 126 healthy subjects. Comparative statistical analysis did not demonstrate significant differences between groups 1–3 in the values of such parameters of the sensory potential as the latency of the onset, the duration of the negative phase and the rate of propagation of excitation. At the same time, in groups 2 and 3, the magnitude of the amplitude from peak to peak of the sensory potential was significantly lower compared to group 1, and averaged 8.92 and 7.86 MV, respectively.Conclusion. Knowledge of the regulatory parameters will allow expanding the use of electroneuromyography of the sensitive portion of the medial plantar nerve in clinical and research practice.

Data which would reveal the importance and level of moral skills of schoolchildren are still lacking. This research investigated children in 2 age groups and was based on the Moral Skills Inventory (Bakutyte, 1999). For the present study, this inventory was adapted after carrying out a pilot study at one middle school in Kaunas, Lithuania. Subjects were chosen by a random selection method in the Lithuanian middle schools of Kaunas, Klaipeda and Vilnius. Schoolchildren were questionned in the age groups 10 to 12 (258) and 13 to 15 (294) respectively. Our research results prove that schoolchildren aged from 13 to 15 try very hard to be sensitive towards others: and are trying much harder to console to a statiscally significant extent (p<.05) in comparison to the 10 to 12 age group.
