In general, the quality of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia can be said to lag behind non-Islamic educational institutions. The quality of education is influenced by the quality of the education management it carries out. The better the quality of management of an educational institution, the quality of education produced will certainly be directly proportional. Changing times continue to occur and competition between educational institutions is also getting tougher. If you are not able to manage an educational institution properly, you will be left behind and it is possible to go bankrupt. One of these self-improvement efforts is the need to reformulate strategic management by considering the concept of a strategic management model. The purpose of this study is to explore a strategic management model for improving the quality of Islamic education. The research was carried out through an approach to library research methods. The results of this study have shown that in fact management strategy has a concept in Islam, so there are already Islamic educational institutions to run it according to Islamic guidelines in order to improve the quality of Islamic education.

Entering the past decade, the issue of quality has always been the talk of the actual, especially in the context of education management. Recognized or not, the quality of Islamic education institutions are still largely under the quality of education in general. Various attempts have been made and many of the concepts that have been applied, but everything seemed not bring significant improvement. "Total Quality Management (TQM) or Integrated Quality Management (MMT) as an effort to improve the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. Although at first the concept of MMT is only known in the industry, but the amazing success invite the interest of education experts, 3 to study it more deeply, formulate operational patterns of adoption, and to create a model in teknical to apply. This research was conducted in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. Consideration is SMP Muhammadiyah I Gurgaon is one of the Islamic educational institutions (schools distinctively Islamic) 5 formal mission has always been to apply concepts of Quality Management (TQM). This study resulted in that SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok already implementing Total Quality Management in the management of education. However, the application of Total Quality Management in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok can be said is not fully maximized, in the sense that there are still some things that need to be evaluated together.

<p><strong><em></em></strong><em>The study of the history of Islamic education in Indonesia is a study that should continue to be able to give ibrah for development and improvement of the quality of education. This dynamics is the metamorphosis, a process towards perfection. Based on a historical perspective, Islamic educational institution found that Indonesia is still experiencing a metamorphosis is less perfect. This indicates that the Islamic educational institutions should hold first settled towards perfect metamorphosis, a process that ushers in the institution of Islamic institutions on excellence and advancement. This paper attempts, identify the metamorphosis of the Islamic educational institutions as well as find aspects of the imperfections of the process metamorfosisnya. The results of this paper will, be insightful while discourse and early action to improve the image and quality of the institutions of Islam.</em></p>

Management of Islamic education in pesantren needs to return to its historical roots in order to confirm the identity, character, distinctiveness and uniqueness. There is a spirit that is timeless, even the underlying model of ideal education in the contemporary era. Development of Islamic epistemology for education should be able to give birth to a generation of Muslims who worships in the field of religion and experts in the field of science and technology. pesantren as an educational institution of Islam with a good management should be able to play its role to achieve this goal. Whereas in fact there who think that pesantren have not been able to put its strategic position in the development of science in accordance with the times. Nevertheless, the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren is evidence that pesantren have been organized in a good management so that it can survive in changing times from time to time. More precisely knowing Islamic education management in pesantren from the perspective of epistemology may illustrate that pesantren will continue to be needed to confront the changing times.

Recently, madrasah education has begun to dim its existence, the Islamic educational institutions have become less popular among the public in terms of output and quality, so that Madrasah education generally is in second class in real condition when it is juxtaposed with educational institutions in general in Indonesia. This condition occurs because the Madrasah only think about how education continues to run regardless of the factors that can attract the public to be the main choice in processing the son or his daughter, in addition madrasah is lost identity as an Islamic educational institution that should be principled in accordance with the values- the value of Islamic educational institutions contained in the Qur'an and Hadith as the main guidance in the effort to maintain its existence. In theory of interest, the most important thing to note is the view of parents in choosing a Madrasah which if it is ranked in percentage above 50%, so the sequence is qualified, excelling, then the closeness to school / madrasah with home. While if we ranked in percentage under 50%, then the sequence is a low cost, discipline, madrasah status, easy transportation and a supportive environment to the development of children creativity. So to fulfill all efforts which become the desire of the community become the key to the emergence of these interests, but the main thing is to maintain the quality of education continuously with the appropriate management model, meaning it is in accordance with the basic concept of management of Islamic Education Institution, so that objectively society will assess and care for the existence of madrasah education together with madrasah stakeholder

The quality of education is a standard that must be maintained by educational institutions in Indonesia. Quality assurance of school is an education management business in maintaining the process of determining and fulfilling management quality standards on an ongoing basis so that producer consumers and other interested parties obtain satisfaction. The implementation of quality assurance, it is hoped that it will be able to create quality graduates. The quality assurance standards have been stipulated in Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005. SMP Bilingual Terpadu is an educational institution that has applied the education quality assurance system. In each semester, school managers try to map and improve the quality of schools. Improving the quality of education in SMP Bilingual Terpadu based on standard mapping results. The results of the mapping will be used as a basis for increasing the implementation and supervision of quality assurance at SMP Bilingual Terpadu Krian Sidoarjo.

Abstract: Islamic education institutions in Indonesia face two challenges, namely; internal and external. Internally, Islamic education is faced with the classic problem of the low quality of human resources in education management. The causes include poor quality and education staff development and selectivity of education personnel. Furthermore externally, Islamic education institutions faced three major issues; globalization, democratization, and liberalization. The issue of globalization that is identical with market orientation and mechanism also affects the world of education. That way in education also includes awareness about how to attract and convince the community of the type and model of education. From here, the education world is ready or not ready to be involved in competition to gain public trust. To face these challenges Islamic Education institutions must maximally manage and empower all elements of management in the management of educational institutions. A good understanding of the elements of management can have an impact on the readiness of educational institutions to manage their institutions well in any condition to be the best and foremost. To determine the quality of teacher performance, an educational institution must conduct a process of evaluating the performance of its teachers. MTsS YASPI College Foundation Labuhan Deli is one of the educational institutions that always improves the quality of education in schools. Teacher performance appraisal at Labuhan Deli YASPI schools is still done conventionally, so there are many assessment criteria and it takes a long time to evaluate the teacher's performance. This study aims to optimize the teacher performance appraisal process to be faster and more precise. The method used is Profile Matching. The results of this study can determine the teacher's performance more precisely by 100%. So that this research can be recommended as an appropriate system in evaluating teacher performance in schools

Based on the analysis of educational and regulatory documents, the main pedagogical principles of the State Service for Education Quality of Ukraine (SSEQU) are summarized: a) basic pedagogical principles of SSEQU’s activity, which are defined by the legislator as basic principles of state educational policy (people orientedness; primacy of the law; ensuring the quality of education and equal access to education; humanism; democracy; unity of teaching, upbringing and development, etc.); b) principles that determine the legal sphere of the SSEQU’s activity (institutional separation of control functions and functions ensuring the activities of educational institutions; transparency and publicity of management decisions; responsibility and accountability of education authorities and educational institutions to society; public administration; public partnership etc); c) pedagogical principles that guide and structurally organize SSEQU’s activities (universal design and reasonable adaptation; scientific nature of education; diversity of education; integrity and continuity of education; integration with the labor market; freedom of choosing the types, forms and pace of education, educational program, educational institution; academic integrity; academic freedom, etc. Empirical data analysis based on the educational process participants’ views on the factors, which comprise educational quality, revealed that the interviewees valued most the level of qualification, experience, knowledge and skills of their teachers, educational and methodological support, the use of new technologies and innovations in teaching for achieving quality education. Interaction and cooperation between education stakeholders was identified as important by teachers and students, and less important – by parents. Interviews with students - prospective educational experts revealed that they valued the sequence of communication skills, knowledge and skills of expert activity, experience and knowledge of pedagogical activities. Abstract This study intends to explain the portrait of educational institutions fostered by Muslimat Education Foundation (YPM) NU in Kediri Regency, and try to describe the effectiveness of Muslimat NU in Kediri Regency in improving quality. This study seeks to describe in depth the problems in accordance with the data obtained in the field and on the interpretation of researchers. Muslimat NU is one of the organizations of many organizations in the community. Muslimat NU is a community organization and is an autonomous body of Nahdlatul Ulama whose task is helping to implement policies on women members. Among YPM's work programs in order to improve the quality of education in the district of Kediri are improving the quality of Al-Qur'an Kindergarten and play group, including on managerial aspects, facilities and infrastructure, administration, curriculum and Human Resources (teachers, managers and employees). Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam tentang permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut sesuai dengan data yang diperoleh di lapangan dan atas penafsiran peneliti. Muslimat NU merupakan salah satu organisasi dari sekian banyak organisasi yang ada di masyarakat. Muslimat NU adalah organisasi masyarakat dan merupakan badan otonom Nahdlatul Ulama yang bertugas membantu melaksankan kebijakan pada anggota perempuan. Diantara program kerja YPM dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yang ada di kabupaten Kediri adalah; Peningkatan kualitas Taman Kanak-Kanak dan Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an, di antaranya pada aspek manajerial, sarana dan prasarana, administrasi, kurikulum dan Sumber Daya Manusia (guru, pengelola dan karyawan). Educational institutions in which there is an educational process, have a function not only in the aspect of developing science, but also have a mission to improve the quality of personality through good character. In this position, the teacher has a role in instilling inclusive values (tasamuh) in the learning process that can be applied in everyday life as well as the process in developing the potential of their students. Each educational institution or each teacher will have different tasamuh values in each habituation or teaching. Get used to communicating with others using the language of unity, namely Indonesian, helping each other, not blaming others, especially fellow Muslims, especially other religions, and respecting different principles and respecting others. This study focuses on the views of Islamic Education teachers about the concept of tasamuh and the actualization of the tasamuh attitude of Islamic Education teachers in the learning process at SMK NU Lamongan, MTs Putra Putri Lamongan, SD NU Banat-Banin Lamongan. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. This study shows that teachers play a role in developing tolerant attitudes to students in the school environment, social groups and even the community, through habituation and learning Islamic Education. The teacher's perspective on inclusive attitudes also plays a role in shaping the personality of students to be more open and respect all differences.
