Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pesan moral yang disampaikan oleh film serial pendidikan karakter Laskar Anak Bawang (LAB) pada episode “Tahu Sama Tempe” dan “Pak Kumal”. Film ini diproduksi oleh Pustekkom Depdiknas dan disiarkan oleh stasiun TVRI pada tanggal 6 dan 11 September 2000. Tahu Sama Tempe mewakili film-film serial pendidikan karakter yang berisikan wawasan keilmuan, sedangkan Pak Kumal mewakili film pendidikan karakter yang berisikan akhlak mulia. Penentuan sampel dilaksanakan secara randon (acak). Hasil randomisasi terpilih 10 lokasi yaitu Medan, Palembang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Samarinda, Makassar, Mataram dan Kupang. Tiap kota yang terpilih; secara acak diambil 10 Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang mewakili SD di dalam kota dan yang di pinggiran kota; SD yang berstatus negeri dan SD yang berstatus swasta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum film dapat menyampaikan pesan moral secara efektif kepada siswa. Seluruh pesan moral yang ada di dalam episode Tahu Sama Tempe dapat mempengaruhi siswa secara efektif. Sedangkan pesan moral yang terkandung dalam episode Pak Kumal ada yang berpengaruh efektif tetapi ada juga yang tidak. Pesan moral yang berpengaruh efektif adalah: ‘Jangan main hakim sendiri’, ‘Kederwawanan’ dan ‘Kesediaan untuk meminta maaf’. Sedangkan yang tidak adalah ‘Jangan menilai orang dari penampakan luarnya’, dan ‘Motivasi membantu orang lain’. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disampaikan saran (1) agar Pustekkom menggandeng berbagai pihak yang berkepentingan untuk terus mengembangkan film-film serial televisi yang bermuatan pendidikan karakter, (2) film-film pendidikan karakter yang dikembangkan hendaknya berisikan wawasan keilmuan, wawasan kebangsaan dan akhlak mulia, (3) film-film pendidikan karakter yang telah diproduksi disamping disiarkan melalui stasiun televisi hendaknya juga di upload ke dunia maya seperti youtube, Jardiknas/e-dukasi.net, dan (4) penelitian serupa hendaknya dilaksanakan lagi dengan sasaran para siswa yang tinggal di daerah pedesaan dan daerah terpencil. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan karakter, Pesan moral, Film serial televisi, film lascar anak bawangAbstract: This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of moral massage delivered by Laskar Anak Bawang (LAB), a character building serial, in the episode of “Tahu Sama Tempe” and “Pak Kumal”. This film was produced by Pustekkom, Ministry of National Education and broadcast by TVRI on 6th and 11th of September, 2000. Tahu sama Tempe represented character building serial films containing scientific horizon, while Pak Kumal represented character building film containing noble character. Samples were taken randomly. The randomization resulted 10 locations which were Medan, Palembang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Samarinda, Makassar, Mataram and Kupang. In each selected town 10 elementary schools were randomly selected. They represented urban elementary schools and suburban ones, public schools and private schools. The result of research showed that in general a film could deliver moral message effectively. All moral messages delivered within Tahu Sama Tempe episode could influence children effectively. While moral massages in Pak Kumal episode could not entirely influence, some of them could influence children effectively, while other messages could not. Ones that effectively influenced children were the following messages: not to act vigilante, generosity, and willing to apologized While other ones that did not influence effectively were: not to judge a book from the cover and motivation to help others. Base on the result, the following recommendations should be considered, they are: 1) Pustekkom should invite stakeholders to continue developing television serial film contains character education, 2) The character building films that will be developed should containscientific horizon, nationality, and noble character, 3) The character building films that had been developed should be uploaded to cyber world (e.g. youtube, Jardiknas/e-dukasi.net) as well as broadcast through television station, and 4) The similar research should be conducted again with students in rural area as the target. Realizing the character building on students is a national education goal. The character education is very important for the students. Therefore, the socialization and enculturation of national character education in schools by using an effective and efficient method are needed. This study aims to understand the process of socialization of character education in elementary school, to find the effective way of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through comics, and to determine the impact of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through the comic for the character building of students. This research was conducted using qualitative methods (Research & Development). The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the socialization of the nations character education in primary schools is done in several ways; integrated with in the curriculum through the school management, and through extracurricular programs. Those ways do not seem to produce maximum results. Socialization model of the national character of education in the elementary schools through the comic is more effective to apply, because students are more interested in the visualization of interesting and familiar images.Menyadari pembangunan karakter siswa adalah tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pendidikan karakter sangat penting bagi para siswa. Oleh karena itu, sosialisasi dan enkulturasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah-sekolah dengan menggunakan metode yang efektif dan efisien diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami proses sosialisasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar, untuk menemukan cara yang efektif untuk model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik, dan untuk menentukan dampak dari model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik untuk membangun karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif (Research & Development). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah dasar ini dilakukan dengan beberapa cara, terintegrasi dengan subjek termasuk, melalui manajemen sekolah, dan melalui program ekstrakurikuler. Mereka cara tampaknya tidak menghasilkan hasil yang maksimal. Model Sosialisasi karakter nasional pendidikan di sekolah dasar melalui komik lebih efektif untuk diterapkan, karena siswa lebih tertarik pada visualisasi gambar yang menarik dan akrab.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to describe the various ways in which a group of principals conceptualize the power basis of teachers within teacher–principal interactions. Design/methodology/approach The present study takes power as a potential to influence people as it was conceptualized in the taxonomy developed by French and Raven (1959/1968) and Raven (1993). This taxonomy was also used to discuss the conceptions emerged in the interview data. A total of 16 principals, 8 from public schools and 8 from private schools, were interviewed. Findings The phenomenographic analysis of the interviews with the 16 principals revealed five ways of understanding teachers’ power basis. These conceptions (in the form of categories of description) were: (a) the principal’s sense of reciprocity, (b) teachers’ field-specific knowledge, (c) teachers’ administrative experience, (d) teachers’ union affiliation and (e) teachers’ legal rights. Categories (a) and (b) were common to all the study’s participants. Category (c) was unique to participants from private schools, while categories (d) and (e) were unique to participants from public schools. Research limitations/implications Three topics – the subtler forms of legitimate power, the issue of teacher tenure and the influence of unions on the educational system – appeared to have potential for interesting future studies in the field of educational management. Practical implications There is an apparent need to include social power as a course component in preparatory programs for educational administrators. The revised power taxonomy, which took its final form after the revisions made by Raven (1993), appeared to be an adequate explanatory theory to understand the teachers’ bases of power, and as such, it can be used to structure the content of the course about power interactions in school settings. In addition, the Turkish Ministry of National Education should handle the issue of unions’ improper influence over the educational system and take necessary measures in order to maintain the effective functioning of public schools. Originality/value To date, subordinates’ bases of power as a research subject has apparently been ignored. The present study is the first to reveal variations in the ways that school principals conceptualize teachers’ basis of power. Although the study data were collected in one city in Turkey, the research implications drawn from its findings can inspire interest in this neglected field of study all around the world.

Abstract. The formation of character is one of the national education goals. Article 1 of the 2003 Education Law states that among the objectives of national education is to develop the potential of learners to have intelligence, personality and noble character. Currently karakterbangsa strengthening of the strategic priorities of national education progra, given the state of the nation must be returned to the characterization of identity bangsa.Berbagai efforts should be made to build character education, including through modeling (modeling) characters through 3D animations Fim impressions. The strength of this medium is its appeal capable mengypnosis children so charges can be internalized character education in children. The purpose of this research is to "develop Animation 3D Virtual Reality for Education Character in elementary school," This study uses the Research & Development (R & D) through the stages: (1) analysis of the needs of the Media, (2) Media Development, (3) Validation and Product dissemination. Subjects were students of primary schools, with three locations in West Java (Bandung, Cimahi, Bandung regency). Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah “mengembangkan Film Animasi 3D untuk Pendidikan Karater di Sekolah Dasar”, Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D) melalui tahapan : (1) Analisis kebutuhan Media, (2) Pengembangan Media , (3) Validasi dan Diseminasi Produk. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SD, dengan lokasi di tiga wilayah Jawa Barat (Cimahi, Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan Cianjur). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model animasi yang didesain dengan ABC (animation character building) berdampak pada pembiasaan positif sebagai langkah awal untuk pembentukan karakter pada siswa SD.Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Karakter, Film 3D Animasi

Quality education comprises of so many factors, such as teachers' professional and academic qualifications. This study deals with the quantitative part of a larger study that looks at factors that influence the quality of education in private schools as well as in public schools in the Malakand Division. The study's sample consisted of four hundred and eighty teachers from forty-eight randomly selected schools (fifty percent public and fifty percent private sector) in Malakand. A survey questionnaire technique was used for the collection of data, which was then analyzed using inferential statistics and descriptive statistics. Results indicate that teachers at public secondary schools had higher academic qualifications, more teaching experience and were on average older in comparison to private school teachers. In light of the recruitment guidelines of the National Education Policy (2017), the paper recommended that teachers in both public and private schools improve their professional qualifications as well as academic qualifications.

Integrated learning is a learning approach which involves multiple course subjects in order to provide meaningful experience to the students. Integrated education can be realized through the formulation of the vision and mission from the school that need to be achieved, school’s objectives and programs (the strategic plan of the school), the formation of institution culture that reflects the blend of values and learning, which is operationally in the form of curriculum and extra-curriculum plan that formulated such a way so that the fundamental values of Islamic teaching and the science (general education) are integrated coherently. The implementation of integrated PAI learning in Darul Hikam Senior High School is clearly seen on the typical curriculum (kurhas) of character education with developing 7 values (sincere, patient, trustworthy, discipline, caring, smart and good deeds) through Taqwa Character Building (TCB) as mentioned above. This TCB is in line with the philosophy and vision built by Darul Hikam Senior High School. Moreover, TCB is also aligned with the objectives of the national education.

The values of nationalism can be learned from educational materials that are oriented towards character development. Character education is part of a revolutionary zone among students, therefore character education is a very important part to be urgently developed in the minds of the student head because students are the next generation who will lead the nation and state. Character learning that is oriented towards the values of nationalism can overcome various social problems. Building character for the current generation is one of the goals of national education. The Ministry of National Education (2011) describes the matter of character building through educational institutions that in the implementation process designing students to have caring care and responsibility. This analysis concerns that character education is part of the formation of identity, selfconcept, self-esteem, psychology, personality, character, individualistic behavior, character and character. This writing method uses a descriptive method. Discussion: 1). Zone of Nationalism and Learning. 2). Character Education and Learning Development. Conclusion: Character learning in universities is one of the development of learning which should provide an effective space in internalizing the values of Nationalism in shaping the character and civilization of the Indonesian nation to students

Moral degradation that is now going on in Indonesian, assumed was sourced from ethical and moral crisis in religion. Akhlak and moral crisis is an indication of poor mentality of the nation and the decline of the national dignity. It can be one of sign to the destruction of the nation. Responding to these conditions, lately, character education has become one of the hot issues in education. Program of "character building" has become a priority in the era Minister of National Education (Mendiknas), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nuh, to build the nation's character. In step of the ideals above, Islam is a religion that aims to form his people have morality and noble moral character. Therefore, character education that emphasizes ethical-religious dimension becomes relevant for application. From this, conceptually articulate character education to know how the Islamic perspective in looking at the issue of ethics and moral character in helping his people is very important to put forward. Therefore in this paper, the authors will discuss the issue comprehensively.

Issues of intolerance in Indonesia, even involving children, have become the concerns of all related agencies, particularly those in children’s education. Although character building has been mainstreamed in the national education system, little is known how preschool teachers contribute to the nurturance of tolerant young children as future global citizens. This study explores priority sustainable character values and their building strategies in counselling practices of pre-school teachers in West Java Province of Indonesia. Analysis of questionnaire, classroom observation and interview results by criteria of Global Citizenship Education (UNESCO, 2017) and character education in the 21st century of Bialik, Bogan, Fadel and Horvathova (2015) show that counselling topics of the participating teachers have included sustainable values of global partnership, independence, nationalism, integrity, and religiosity exercised through individual and team works. By involving social agencies such as parents, principals, and religious leaders, teachers involved their students in various characterbuilding activities. The study also recommends more detail indicators and activities for teachers to improve their students’ sense of tolerance as future global citizens.

Abstract: Prophetic Literature learning as a Medium to Develop Student Character. Recently, the character education mainstreaming has been boosted in the national education development. Substantially, the concept of character education is included in the formulation of the national education goals. Therefore, one important aspect in the context of character education is the collective consciousness of all parties involved in the activity. One attempt to develop character is through literature learning, including prophetic literature. Prophetic literature learning can provide joy of life and balance between thoughts and feelings. Demoralization occured in school life. Teachers as the person incharge of the students?óÔé¼Ôäó education in school must find the way out to demolish the demoralization. Character Education needs to be developed in school to maintain students?óÔé¼Ôäó behaviour. Character Building is important to be developed in the learning process. The development of Character Building is integrated into subject matters in elementary schools. Teachers should be involved in the character education for students. In running the process of learning, instructional materials are needed. Syllabus and lesson plan are parts of the instructional materials. Teachers are not only responsible for educating students in school but also responsible for building students?óÔé¼Ôäó characters through the material they deliver. Character Buildings are integrated in the syllabus and lesson plan in order that the students can apply the moral values from the material they learn in their daily lifes. The syllabus and lesson plan improvement with all the potency can be used for supporting the effectivity of character education implementation which is becoming the prior attention. Teachers should know more about students personality and what students need in the learning process. Teachers can improve their skills in making syllabus and lesson plans based character education by joining this workshop. Teachers need to be ?óÔé¼?ôan up-date?óÔé¼?Ø person in giving materials and delivering the moral values to build the students?óÔé¼Ôäó character. Through the program of repetition drills and monitoring, teachers can learn more about syllabus based character education to fulfill the students?óÔé¼Ôäó need. Syllabus based character education has to be used for imprasing the character education in order for gaining teachers?óÔé¼Ôäó and students?óÔé¼Ôäó creativity.Key words: Syllabus, Character Buildings.
