In mobile, many applications provide services to the users based on the photos provided by the user.Certain applications, client users take a photo of a certain spot and send it to a server, the server identifies the spot with an image recognizer and returns its related information to the users. It can cause a privacy issue because image recognition results are sometimes privacy sensitive. To overcome the problems of existing approaches, proposed an Encryption-Free framework for Privacy preserving Image Recognition, called Enfpire.InEnfPire, the server cannot identify the client users current location, its candidates can only be presented. In proposed thefeature extraction with CNN algorithm help to collect the unique and accurate features from input image and also used Duplicate Detection process to detect images with same features present within same index. In proposed approach user transform the extracted image feature x into y on the user server and sends it to the public server. With the transformation , the effectiveness of the original feature x is degraded so that the public server cannot uniquely recognize the spot-ID of user from y.It only retrives the relevant spot ID’s.The unique spot ID will identify and information regarding the spot and relevant images will be given to the user.

Background: Chikungunya is a vector-borne disease, mostly present in tropical and subtropical regions. The virus is spread by Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus mosquitos and symptoms include high fever to severe joint pain. Dhaka, Bangladesh, suffered an outbreak of chikungunya in 2017 lasting from April to September. With the goal of reducing cases, social media was at the forefront during this outbreak and educated the public about symptoms, prevention, and control of the virus. Popular web-based sources such as the top dailies in Bangladesh, local news outlets, and Facebook spread awareness of the outbreak. Objective: This study sought to investigate the role of social and mainstream media during the chikungunya epidemic. The study objective was to determine if social media can improve awareness of and practice associated with reducing cases of chikungunya. Methods: We collected chikungunya-related information circulated from the top nine television channels in Dhaka, Bangladesh, airing from 1st April–20th August 2017. All the news published in the top six dailies in Bangladesh were also compiled. The 50 most viewed chikungunya-related Bengali videos were manually coded and analyzed. Other social media outlets, such as Facebook, were also analyzed to determine the number of chikungunya-related posts and responses to these posts. Results: Our study showed that media outlets were associated with reducing cases of chikungunya, indicating that media has the potential to impact future outbreaks of these alpha viruses. Each media outlet (e.g., web, television) had an impact on the human response to an individual’s healthcare during this outbreak. Conclusions: To prevent future outbreaks of chikungunya, media outlets and social media can be used to educate the public regarding prevention strategies such as encouraging safe travel, removing stagnant water sources, and assisting with tracking cases globally to determine where future outbreaks may occur.

Residential demand response empowers the role of electricity consumers by allowing them to change their patterns of consumption, which can help balance the energy grid. Although such type of management is envisaged to play an increasingly important role in the integration of renewables into the grid, the factors that influence household engagement in these initiatives have not been fully explored in Japan. This study examines the influence of interpersonal, intrapersonal, and socio-demographic characteristics of households in Yokohama on their willingness to participate in demand response programs. Time of use, real time pricing, critical peak pricing, and direct load control were considered as potential candidates for adoption. In addition, the authors explored the willingness of households to receive non-electricity related information in their in-home displays and participate in a philanthropy-based peer-to-peer energy platform. Primary data were collected though a questionnaire survey and supplemented by key informant interviews. The findings indicate that household income, ownership of electric vehicles, socio-environmental awareness, perceived sense of comfort, control, and complexity, as well as philanthropic inclinations, all constitute drivers that influence demand flexibility. Finally, policy recommendations that could potentially help introduce residential demand response programs to a wider section of the public are also proposed.

With the advent in mobile and internet technologies, there is a significant increase in the number of users using smartphones and other internet based applications. There are a large number of applications available online that use the internet and provide useful information to the users. These include ones that provide location-based services e.g. google maps etc. These applications provide many facilities to the users who want information regarding a specific area or directions using an optimal path to a destination. Due to these reasons, the number of clients using these applications is increasing on a daily basis. Although these services are very useful and are making it easy for us to get information about our surroundings, some issues are also linked with the use of these applications and their services. One of the more significant issues of using these services is privacy with respect to sending personal location information to location-based services servers. Researchers have provided many solutions to solve these issues. One of the solutions is through caching and use of k-anonymity techniques. In this paper, we have proposed a method to solve the privacy issue that uses caching data approach to reduce the number of queries sent to the location-based services server. We also discuss the use of the concept of k-anonymity when no relevant data is available in cache, and queries are sent to the server.

In response to a growing demand from the public for health information resources, North American public libraries have provided varying levels of consumer health information (CHI) services since the 1970s. Due to the availability of funding in the US, many American public libraries have provided CHI services, although the majority of these have been as partnerships with health sciences libraries or via the “Go Local” programs. In Canada, where no specific funding has been available for CHI services, few public libraries have set up CHI services; health information has generally been provided by augmenting health collections or “virtually,” i.e., by providing links to recommended electronic resources via the library’s Web site.
