This article focuses on the study of the macro and interdisciplinary aspects of the sharing economy. Based on the perspective of social networks, the overall evaluation of the development of this new economic form is carried out, with a view to exploring the sound development of the sharing economy with a new perspective of sociology. First of all, the sharing economy has changed the structure and relationships of social networks. However, social networks have negative effects on trust mechanism, heterogeneous connection, social governance, individual autonomy and capital circulation in the considerable changes. Based on the concern for these negative effects, this article still launches the development strategy of the sharing economy in the aspects of traditional relations, institutional supply, lowering barriers, abandoning inertia, and identifying social capital from the perspective of social network.

This study explores the social structures illiterate adults create, and their relationship to notions of dependence and independence. In-depth unstructured interviews and participant-observation were used with 43 adults in a medium-sized northeastern urban setting. Analysis shows that illiterate adults create social networks that include readers and are characterized by mutuality. Illiterate adults contribute a range of skills to their networks and see themselves as interdependent. Networks are related to the extent to which illiterate adults are involved in the larger society; this ranges from extensive, for cosmopolitans, to minimal for local adults. Dependent adults have networks that are characterized by asymmetrical relationships. Literacy programs must learn to respond to adults-in-networks.

Although research on social networks is progressing rapidly, the positive and negative effects of this area should be evaluated. One of the problems is that social networks are very broad and anyone can have influence on them. This matter can cause the issue of people with different beliefs. Therefore, determining the amount of trust to various resources on social networks, and especially resources for which there is no previous history on the web, is one of the main challenges in this field. In this paper, we present a method for predicting trust in a social network by structural similarities through the neural network. In this method, the web of trust data set is converted to a structural similarity data set based on the similarity of the trustors and trustees first. Then, on the created data set, a part of the data set is considered as the training data and it is trained based on the multilayer perceptron neural network and then the trained neural network is tested based on the test data. In the proposed method, the MSE value is less than 0.01, which has improved more than 0.02 compared to previous methods. Based on the obtained results, the proposed method has provided acceptable accuracy.

To explore the regulating effect of entrepreneurial alertness on the motivation of makers to use online social network. It is found that high entrepreneurial alertness can improve the sensitivity of information seeking motivation and the perception and reaction speed of external environment changes, so as to adjust the team structure and development strategy more quickly, gain competitive advantage and succeed in financing entrepreneurial projects; with high entrepreneurial alertness, makers will treat emotional motivation factors more rationally and weaken the negative effects of personal emotional motivation on financing of entrepreneurial projects. At the same time, high entrepreneurial alertness will help makers to learn forward-looking knowledge and business, and promote entrepreneurial projects to obtain leading time and fruitful innovation.

This modern era demands for a lot of technological innovations. Networking is one such most unavoidable thing in this world. Social networks are considered as a medium of communication which is used for sharing and gathering information, messages, images, news, videos etc. There are about 3.2 billion social network users worldwide that sums up to 42 percent of the world population (Emarsys,2019). People worldwide are well connected professionally and personally by using social networks. In India, there are about 325 Million users out of which Tamil Nadu is the second largest user. It is also found that youth are the main users of social networks. The very popular social network sites are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Gmail, Youtube etc. Youth find Social networking as a very integral part of their life. More than real relations, they find pleasure in spending time with Social media. There are both positive and negative effects on the usage of social media. Hence the researchers has taken up the study on impact of social networking on youth to analyse the effect on Youth. Through this study, the researcher has concluded that the effect or impact of social networking lies in the usage of these social networking sites by the users.

Objectives: Previous research has examined the link between discrimination and health in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender (LGBT) individuals. The purpose of this study was to examine if health-promoting variables, like social networks, might disrupt this association. Method: Participants were 2,560 LGBT older adults who reported on the composition of their social network, level of discrimination, stress, and health/well-being. Results: Moderated mediation results indicated that social network size disrupted the associations between discrimination, stress, and health outcomes when social networks were (a) larger and (b) comprised of LGBT individuals (but not straight individuals), regardless of age. Discussion: Larger social networks that include fellow LGBT individuals helped buffer experiences of stress and discrimination on health outcomes among LGBT older adults. Implications for how protective factors can reduce the negative effects of discrimination and stress are discussed.

Based on the tenets of the uses and gratifications theory (UGT) of media, this study investigates the impact of information gratifications on the subjective wellbeing of social network users in a central Asian country. Data from 244 adolescents were collected using a convenience sampling method. The study reveals the effect of information gratifications on subjective wellbeing, though this influence appears to be moderated by user habits in terms of passion and obsession toward social network use. Furthermore, personality traits have a significant moderating influence on the relationship between information gratifications and subjective wellbeing. Using the empirical findings, this study offers recommendations to mitigate the negative effects of social networks on users' subjective wellbeing.

Popularity of the social media and the amount of importance given by an individual to social media has significantly increased in last few years. As more and more people become part of the social networks like Twitter, Facebook, information which flows through the social network, can potentially give us good understanding about what is happening around in our locality, state, nation or even in the world. The conceptual motive behind the project is to develop a system which analyses about a topic searched on Twitter. It is designed to assist Information Analysts in understanding and exploring complex events as they unfold in the world. The system tracks changes in emotions over events, signalling possible flashpoints or abatement. For each trending topic, the system also shows a sentiment graph showing how positive and negative sentiments are trending as the topic is getting trended.

This study focused on social networks and business performance among Igbo businessmen in Ibadan, South-west Nigeria through the exploratory research design. Social exchange, social network and social capital theories were employed as theoretical framework. Twenty-six in-depth interviews, key informant interviews and case studies were conducted with purposively selected respondents in four business locations in Ibadan. The results showed that among the factors that facilitated migration of the Igbo to Ibadan were their interest to learn a trade, their inability to attain higher education, and having a relative in Ibadan. The types of social networks available showed that social network was not location bound, as all the respondents belonged to town progressive unions and mutual benefits/cooperative associations. Social networks played vital roles in business performance, including social support, access to loan, business growth and expansion. The main challenges to maintaining adequate social network in business were distrust, envy, unbridled competition, dishonesty and inability to keep terms of agreement. The study concludes that social networks have positively influenced the business performance of migrant Igbo in Ibadan. There is need for the Igbo to strengthen their social networks through honesty, forthrightness, and transparency in all their dealings.
