The results of researches of signs of milk productivity of the cows from different bulls for the first, second, third and higher lactations are presented. Studies were conducted on Black-and-White cattle (n = 1981) at Private Joint Stock Company “Plemzavod Styepnoy” Zaporizhia Oblast. There was studied the duration of lactation, milk yields of full and 305 days of lactation, fat and protein content in milk, quantity of milk fat and milk protein of descendants of different parents on the basis of a retrospective analysis of data for the period from 2004 to 2017 (the management program of the dairy herd “Uniform-Agri”). It was established that bulls have a significant impact on the formation of milk productivity of cows. Daughters of E. Naitinhel 683403608 had the longest duration of the first, second and higher lactation and descendants of N. Ardent 137922325 of the third one. Daughters of the bull G. Dzhungl 7816598 were the best by the milk yield of the full first and higher lactation, daughters E. Naitinhel 683403608 for the full second, and daughters of N. Ardent 137922325 – for the third. For 305 days of lactating there was observed a significant level of intergroup differentiation for the number of milk yield, milk fat and milk protein and much less by the amount of fat and protein in milk. For the first 305 days of lactation daughters of bull L.H.F. Bay 66821678 (10188.0 ± 377.12 kg) were characterized by the highest milk yield, and daughters of F. Gailuron 103356429 (correspondingly 11028.8 ± 30619; 11643.3 ± 590.20 and 10311.7 ± 382.07 kg) for the second, third and the highest lactation, with both bulls belonging to the line R.O.R.E. Eleveyshn 1491007. For 305 days of the first lactation descendants of the bulls V. Silas 7419933 (7003.5 ± 317.79 kg) from the line H.H. Starbak 352790 had the lowest milk yield, daughters of E. Naitinhel 683403608 (7633.0 ± 182.18; 7605.8 ± 224.58 and 8491.7 ± 185.42 kg respectively) from the line R.O.R.E. Eleveyshn 1491007 by the second, third and highest lactation. Detected by comparison of group average conditionality of phenotypic variability quantitative characteristics of the milk productivity of cows derived from different parents was confirmed by the dispersion analysis conducted by us. The most significant influence of bulls were made on the milk yields of daughters for the first-third lactation (12.9–16.8%), lower – for the amount of milk fat (12.4–15.6%) and milk protein (12.2–15.8%) and even lower – for the content of fat (2.5–4.2%) and protein in milk (3.7–6.6%). It should be noted that the effect of the bulls on signs of milk productivity for the lactation under study in their daughters in almost all cases was reliable (P & lt; 0.05–0.001) except for the fat content in milk for the first lactation and fat and protein – for the second and third lactation.

The classic method of improving breeds in cattle breeding is in-line animal breeding. This method allows to preserve the hereditary features of the ancestor and enrich the line by accumulation over several generations of valuable heredity and use the most to perfect the breed outstanding the qualities of individual animals and turn individual peculiarities of the ancestors of the lines into the group. The main property of the line is characteristic of its representatives of consolidation of individual economic utility signs due to kinship and directed breeding and selection that makes the line somewhat different from others. In view of the above, the purpose of our research was to study the milk productivity of black-and-white of different line. The research was conducted on Black-and-White cattle of Public Company "Plemzavod Styepnoy" of the Zaporizhzhya region (n = 1928). In cows of different lines, on the basis of retrospective analysis of data for the period from 2004 to 2017 (program dairy herd management "Uniform-Agri") studied dairy performance for the first, second, third and higher lactation. It was found that cows of the studied lines (Bell 1667366, Valiant 1650414, Eleweishn 1491007, Starbak 352790 and Chif 1427381) differed with each other by the duration of lactation and milk productivity indicators. Eleweishn line animals had the longest duration of the first, second, third and best lactation was noted. By this indicator, they dominated the breeds of others lines respectively at 3.2–34.8; 6.7–27.4; 5.0–38.3 and 28.6–47.8 days. Simultaneously, the highest yields for the first (8705.7 kg), the second (9722.7 kg) and the higher (9740.4 kg) lactations were characterized by the cows of the Chif line, and the lowest ones had the Eleweishn line (respectively 8146.8; 8815.5 and 9251.4 kg). Starbak line (9893.0 kg) appeared to be the best by the third lactation yields, after Chif line (29.9 kg). Bell line had the lowest level (9044.9 kg) of yields by mentioned lactations. It should be noted that the highest growth rate is 305 days from the first to the second lactation was observed in the cows of the Chiff line (by 1017.0 kg), somewhat less – at animals of the Starbak line (853.0 kg), even less – in the individuals of Valyat and Eleweishn (819.5 and 668.7 kg respectively), and the least – in Bell line cows (on 282.0 kg). The level of the yield curve between the second and third lactations was significant lower (exception Starbak line) and animals of the above lines was respectively 140.4; 851.0; 230.1; 311.3 and 156.2 kg. It was found that the smallest variability was worth the first lactation and, depending on the line of cows; the coefficients of variability were within19.4–22.8%. For the second lactation, this indicator ranged from 23.3 to 26.8, for the third – from 23.9 to 28.7 and for the best – from 21.3 to 24.7%. Pretty high the variability in the cow's yields of all studied lines indicates the need for their consolidation on this indicator. One of the important features that characterizes the quality of milk is the content of fat. This indicator in the control cows fluctuated, depending on the line and lactation, from 3.74 to 3.82%. The highest fat in milk is for the first lactation was observed in the animals of the lines Eleweishn (3.77%) and Starbak (3.77%),for the second – Starbak line (3.82%), for the third – the lines of Bell (3.79%) and for higher – the cows of Starbak lines (3.77%) and Bell (3.77%). The lowest indicators of the named feature was observed at the beginning of the Bella line (3.75%), for the second and the third lactation – in the cows of the Valiant line (3.76%), and for the best – in the animals of the Chif line (3.74%). The content of protein in the milk of animals of the studied groups is significantly between they did not differ and it, depending on the lactation and line of animals, was within the limits of 3.17–3.21%, which corresponded to the standard of Ukrainian Black-and-White and Holstein breeds. A certain level of intergroup differentiation is also noted in terms of quantity milk fat. For all the lactation under investigation, cows of the Chif line had the highest rates and the lowest ones were the Eleweishn line. Eleweishn line had the lowest amount milk protein for the first, second and best lactation, and by the third Starbak line, and the highest values for the indicated lactation are respectively in the Chif and Starbak lines. Thus, the comparative analysis of the group average on the numerical livestock of cows of different lines showed a significant level of intergroup differentiation by diet, amount of milk fat and milk protein and much less – by the amount of fat and protein in milk. The highest milk yields for first, second and higher lactation showed cows of the Chif line, for the second – the Starbak line, and the smallest – respectively, the Eleweishn and Bell lines. Strength of influence of lines onto the phenotypic variability of the yield, milk fat and milk protein for the first, second, third and best lactation was insignificant, however reliable, on the content of fat and protein in milk – even less and unreliable.

GH. The interrelation of allelic variants of prolactin and somatotropin genes with indicators of milk productivity of black-and-white cows for the 1st and 3rd lactation was studied. The highest milk yield (4642 and 6240 kg) amount of milk fat (174.1 and 215.0 kg) and milk protein (149.0 and 182.5 kg) were in the group with the PRL AA genotype in first-calf heifers as well as in full-age animals. In terms of the mass fraction of fat and protein of milk, the cows with the PRL BB genotype significantly exceeded animals with the PRL AA genotype by 0.12% (P<0.05) and 0.05% (P<0.05), respectively. According to the somatotropin gene, the highest level of milk productivity was revealed in cows with the GH LL genotype with a significant advantage over GH VV in first-calf heifers in milk yield by 439 kg (P<0.01), milk fat yield by 13.6 kg (P<0.001), milk protein yield by 15.3 kg (P<0.01). The excess over the other groups in full-age cows was only in terms of milk yield that was by 219-548 kg (P<0.05). The highest protein content of milk is a characteristic of animals with the GH VV genotype, 3.83% is for the 1st lactation and 3.82% is for the 3rd lactation, and the best protein content of milk in cows with V allele of the GH gene is 3.21 and 3.23%, respectively. The obtained data  indicated a higher level of milk productivity in cows with the PRL AA and GH LL genotypes but the best fat and milk content was noted in cows with alleles B of the PRL gene and V of the GH gene in their genotype.

The scientific community has shown that the genetic improvement of dairy cattle depends on many genotypic factors, including paternal ancestry and lineage. With this in mind, the purpose of our research was to evaluate the Holstein bulls of black-and-white and red-and-white suits of different lines for the milk productivity of their daughters. The research was carried out on the basis of primary breeding records of 10 breeding herds of Ukrainian Black-and-White Dairy breed, 3 – Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed and one – Ukrainian Red Dairy breed, which are subordinated to NAAS. Cows of the studied breeds has divided into groups according to lineage and paternal origin. Studies have revealed a significant differentiation of milk yield of cows of the first and highest lactation not only of one breed, but also of linear affiliation and paternal origin. It was found that the yield of the first lactation in cows of the Ukrainian Black-and-White Dairy breed varied from 3211 kg (Damir 7100354042) to 7884 kg (Dzhokus 113080315) of milk. Noteworthy are the daughters of Dzhokus 113080315, from which 9143 kg of milk were obtained for higher lactation, Polyarsten 342347941 and Manteno 344222859 – 8248 kg and 8290 kg of milk, respectively. The significant influence of paternal origin on the yield of Ukrainian Black-and-White Dairy breed cows of the first and higher lactation (31.0%; P > 0.999) and 37.3% has been proved; P > 0.999). The influence of genealogical formation on the milk productivity of cows was significant and amounted to 10.8% for the first lactation, higher – 10.2%. Some of the first-born Ukrainian Black-and-White Dairy breed has characterized by high milk productivity, which steadily increased until the third and higher lactation. The yield of cows of the Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed of the first lactation varied from 5414 kg (Dialog 2009) to 6689 kg (Larets 6177), testifying to better homogeneity of herds in terms of milk productivity compared to the Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy breed. The highest yield of the third and highest lactation – 7626 kg, had cows-daughters of the bull Roman 660886883 Starbuck line 352790. The variability of milking cows of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed of the first and highest lactation by 25.0% and 15.2%, respectively, was due to the influence of the father offspring and to a lesser extent – belonging to the line. A very high (6517–8013 kg) realization potential of milking cows of the Ukrainian Red Dairy breed was established, but it also depended on the paternal origin and linear affiliation. The highest yield of the first lactation were shown by the daughters of the bull Belisar 365235897, Dzhorin 114414759 and Tumpi 112367468, who produced 8013 kg, 7323 kg and 7170 kg of milk, respectively. In cows of this breed it was found that yield increased with increasing serial number of lactation, with the third and higher lactation cows produced more than 8000 kg of milk per lactation, and the daughters of bull Dzhorin 114414759 – more than 9000 kg. The influence of the bull on the milk productivity of the first-born cows of the Ukrainian Red Dairy breed (16.7%; P > 0.999) is almost three times higher than this linear affiliation. Significant phenotypic variability of milk productivity of cows of different breeds of half-sisters by the father is established. The advantage of the daughters of the bull Belisar 365235897 of the Ukrainian Red Dairy breed on milking of the first lactation over the representatives of the Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed was 1932 kg (p < 0.001). The difference in milk yield of the first lactation of the half-sisters by the father, the bull Konbeo 579810507 was 1007 kg (p < 0.01), and Roman 660886883 – 717 kg. Thus, a significant phenotypic variability of milk productivity of cows of different breeds of half-sisters by father was established. At the same time, regardless of the breeder, the cows of the Ukrainian Red Dairy breed were characterized by higher milk yield of the first lactation in comparison with the Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed.

Effective interbreed selection, which involves family breeding, is an important task today, because the presence of valuable families characterizes the degree of herd selectivity and the level of breeding in it. Therefore, the purpose of our research was to conduct a retrospective analysis of the zootechnical accounting data of dairy productivity and breeding value of cow families at highly productive herd of Public joint-stock company “Stud farm “Stepnoy”, in Kamyansko-Dniprovskyy district of Zaporizhzhya region created by crossbreeding of the females of the Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy breed with Holstein breeders. The analysis included 45 families, with a head count of 8 to 19 heads, including foundation cows. Malta family UA2300205993 had the maximum number of descendants (6 daughters, 6 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren), and Malta family UA2300241359 (3 daughters and 3 granddaughters) – minimal. Found to be that the families under control were characterized by a significant level of differentiation in milk yield and fat and protein content in milk. The Mazi family UA230023375 was the best by milk yield, the Lemonka family UA2300233684 – by the fat in milk, by the protein in milk – Nasypa UA2300222571. At the same time, foundation cow Kviten UA2300077306, Nasypa UA2300222571, Yana UA2300248883, Lamysta UA2300198909 and Sokyra UA2300241365 had the most highly productive daughters; their milk yields for higher lactation was in the range 11143.5–12780.0 kg. At the same time high-productive foundation cows did not always receive high-productive daughters. In particular, 3 daughters of the foundation cow Krovlya UA2300229133, whose milk yields for higher lactation was 12671 kg, had lower milk yields by an average of 2704.7 kg. However, foundation cows with low milk yields level had daughters who had this rate significantly higher, including the foundation cow Kviten UA2300077306, Toskana UA2300077167, Liga UA2300034958, Maket UA2300241388 and Manilka UA2300233701, whose highest milk yields level for the highest lactation was in the range 5625–7701 kg, and ho had daughters whose milk yield was higher than their mothers by an average of 4858.5; 3975.3; 3704; 3299.5 and 3186.7 kg respectively. The granddaughter of the experimental foundation cows ranged from 8413.0 to12942.6 kg, fat content in milk – from 3.50 to 4.13% and protein content in milk – from 3.05 to 3.29%, and the figures of great-grandchildren were respectively 7114.0–11991.3 kg, 3.49–3.92% and 3.00–3.29%. It should be noted that 15 foundation cows gave granddaughters with an average milk yield of over 10000 kg, 13 with a milk yield more than 11000 and 3 – with a yield of more than 12000 and only 2 foundation cows had second generation descendants with an average yield of less than 9000 kg. The grandchildren of 14 foundation cows had over 10000 kg of milk yields, and 7 over 11000 kg. The breeding value of the foundation cows by the milk yields was within -497 (Liga UA2300034958) – +1614.4 kg (Tsykl UA2300233484), by the fat content in milk – within -0.098 (Hanh UA2300233710) – +0.280% (Stezhka UA2300205863) and by the protein content of milk within -0.073 (Maket UA2300241388) – +0.053% (Stezhka UA2300205863), breeding value by the above indicators of their daughters were accordingly within -554.9 – +819.3 kg, -0.065 – +0.095% and -0.038 – +0.045%, granddaughters – within -326.3 – +786.2 kg, -0.048 – +0.145% and -0.033 – +0.025% and to a great-granddaughters – within -670.5 – +590.3 kg, -0.067 – +0.043 and -0.043 – +0.030%. The most valuable in the herd relation by milk yield appeared to be Mazi family UA2300233755, Lemonka family UA2300233684 – by the fat content in milk and by the protein content in milk – the Nasypa family UA230022257. Among evaluated families by the nature of changes in breeding values in generations 31 (68.9%) were progressive, 4 (8.9%) were stable and 10 (22.2%) regressive. The prediction of the efficiency of dairy cattle breeding and prediction of certain changes by the productivity indices of subsequent generations can be made by correlation and regression coefficients of the main features: milk yield, fat content, and protein content in milk. The highest and most likely coefficients of correlation (r = 0.39) and regressions (R = 0.42) were observed between the milk yield of foundation cows families and their daughters. Each succeeding generation had declined and the indices of descendants of the third generation were unreliable. Influence of foundation cows in future generations, depending on the generation and nature of the features of milk productivity, was also different. Milk yield (h2 = 0.26–0.79) was characterized by the highest and most reliable heritability estimate, much lower and unreliable in the second and third generations – the fat (h2 = 0.10–0.22) and protein content in milk (h2 = 0.12–0.24). It indicates that in the controlled herd more attention is paid to milk yield focus breeding. Therefore, to improve family fat and protein content in milk it should be used breeders whose mothers have high fat and protein content in milk.

The article presents data on the productivity of cows of the Kholmogorskaya breed and their crosses with varying degrees of holsteinische. In the course of studies conducted in the period from 2000 to 2019, it was found that in the Komi Republic, cows with a blood content of more than 75 of the Holstein breed outperform pure-bred Kholmogorsky cattle in terms of milk productivity and fat in milk for the first lactation by 40.3 and 0.63, and in the third by 52.8 and 0.64 respectively. However, an increase in milk yield per lactation does not lead to an increase in lifetime milk production, which is due to a decrease in the duration of economic use: in cows with a Holstein blood ratio of more than 75, the average leaving age is 2.400.11 calving, which is 1.5 times less than in purebred animals. The highest lifetime yield is given to animals with a blood content of 50 obtained by crossing Chi-pedigree Holstein and Kholmogorsky cattle (19850618 kg), and the lowest with a blood content of 2550 when breeding crossbreeds in themselves (123281134 kg). The production of milk fat during all lactation in cows with a blood content of 50 is 799.625.3 kg, which is 1.9 times more than in animals with a blood content of up to 25. When accounting for milk production on a day in the life of an animal is established that the highest milk yield observed in cows with percentage of the blood 50 and 7.4 kg of milk, natural fat content, and at recalculation on basic fat content (3.4) from 75 of the Holstein breed hybrids (9.00.3 kg), which also has the highest production of milk fat on day 1 of life 307.310.1 grams

The results of researches on studying of sires influence on milk production and reproductive properties of Sychevskaya breed cows, bred in the breeding farm, JSC "Vostok", Smolensk region. In order to determine sires, cows, which are able to increase milk productivity of the herd without compromising reproductive properties, population of full-aged cows, according to their origin, was divided into six groups. Their milk yield was analyzed for first and third lactations, mass fraction of milk fat and milk protein, live weight, coefficients of milk yield of cows and the sustainability of lactation. The most stable, in all groups, is the first lactation, then there is a decrease to the fifth lactation. Cows received from the bull of Sychevskaya breed Pyl 6782, for the first lactation have a productive advantage over livestock received from other bulls. In full-aged animals derived from this bull, this advantage is lost. The daughters Hanke 6749, Holstein red-and-motley breed, have intensively promoting milk productivity, indicators of milk fat and protein is higher in daughters of Holstein bull Marder 6721. Reproductive properties were studied: open days and calving interval, age at first calving, days to first fertilization in lactation. The best reproductive properties have Sychev bulls. After calving, reproductive function in daughters Naliv 6791(sychevskaya breed) were restored earlier, in daughters Hanke 6749 - for longer period. The correlation of signs is defined: milk yield between lactations, milk productivity with mass fraction offat%, live weight, age of the first calving, the period of days before the first insemination in lactation.

Abstract. The aim of the research is a comparative assessment of the morphological and functional properties of the udder, productive longevity of cows of Black-Mottled and Simmental breeds. Methods. The work was carried out on the basis of an agricultural enterprise of the Tyumen region, where a loose method of keeping cows and voluntary milking by a robot is used. In the first group – cows of Black-Mottled breed, in the second – Simmental. Results. Cows of the first group of the Black-Mottled breed had a uniformly developed udder with an index of 45.1 % and were superior to animals of the second group of the Simmental breed: in girth by 7.2 cm (5.4 %) (p < 0.001) and width by 1.0 cm (5.0%) (p < 0.001). The indicator characterizing the capacity of the udder in animals of the black-mottled breed is greater than in simmentals by 295.2 cm2 (10.0 %) (p < 0.05). The difference in the rate of milk yield of cows was 0.05 kg / min (2.3 %) in favor of simmentals. The period of production use of Black-Mottled cows is longer than this indicator in simmentals by 0.4 lactation (p < 0.001). Animals of the Black-Mottled breed gave 2471.0 kg (p < 0.001) more milk over the entire period of use compared to animals of the Simmental breed. In addition, in Black-Mottled cows, the amount of milk fat and milk protein during the life period exceeds simmentals by 86.3 and 72.3 kg (p < 0.001). Novelty. When using the developed method of selecting highly productive cows, it makes it possible to get more milk from cows per day by 1.4 kg (6.7 %), for 305 days – by 268.1 kg (5.4%), for the period of life – by 1684.4 kg (9.7%). This method allows you to extend the period of economic use of the dairy herd by 0.4 lactation (14.8 %).

The article presents the data of ethological studies on dairy cows of the Ayrshire breed of the second lactation under conditions of stall-tethered keeping in the spring. Animals with increased nutritional activity have milk yield per 305 days of lactation higher by 1662 kg (P> 0.999) compared with animals with reduced nutritional activity. The amount of milk fat in animals with increased food activity is 72.8 kg more (P> 0.999), and the total amount of milk protein is 47.8 kg more (P> 0.999) than in animals with reduced food activity. An increased index of food activity characterizes Ayrshire cows. Comparison of milk yields obtained from Ayrshire cows with milk yields of cows with reduced food activity leads to the establishment of the following results: there is a difference in milk yield for the first lactation of 1179 kg (P> 0.999), a difference in the amount of milk fat 53.2 kg (P> 0.99), and by the amount of milk protein – 36.4 kg (P> 0.99). Comparison of the total activity index led to the following results: the difference in milk yield per 305 days of lactation is 1386 kg (P> 0.999), in the amount of milk fat 61.3 kg (P> 0.999), milk protein 40.0 kg (P> 0.999). The highest correlation is observed between the index of food activity and milk productivity in ultra-active animals. In infra-passive cows, the correlation between the index of food activity and milk productivity is negative. Therefore, an effective means of increasing milk productivity is the selection of animals of Ayrshire breed by ethological individuality, taking into account indices of food, motor, and general activity. The studied indices of ethological activity are inherited by cows and can be effectively used in breeding and breeding with highly productive cattle of the Vologda selection.

The paper highlights longevity  of industrial use of cows. The authors analyze criteria of dairy productivity during the first lactation, maximum lactation and lifetime of cows in relation to their linear belonging, heifers fertility in the highest lactation and the of the first successful insemination. The longer period of industrial use was observed in Montvik Chiftein cows (2.90 lactations), in offsprings of low-fertile cows (2.97 lactations) and in cows that were first successfully inseminated aged 15-18 months (2.95 lactations) . The indicators of lifetime milk productivity in Montvik Chiftein cows are higher in comparison with Vis Ideal cows and Reflection Sovereign cows: milk yield on 2322.1 (9.4%) and 1084.0 kg (4.4%) (P <0, 05) respectively, fat mass - on 0.02% (P <0.05), protein concentration - on 0.02 and 0.03% (P <0.01). The milk fat and protein obtained from Montvik Chiftein cows is higher  in comparison with the 1st and 3rd groups; fat - on 96.4 (9.7%) and 43.8 kg (4, 4%) (P <0.05), protein - on 76.6 (9.8%) and 37.5 kg (4.8%) (P <0.05). High milk yield produced by heifers (more than 10,000 kg of milk for the highest lactation) allowed the offsprings to take the leading positions in terms of milk productivity in the period of the first and maximum lactations. From offsprings of low fertile cows (less than 7000 kg of milk for the highest lactation), the researchers received more milk than from the cows of the 2nd and 3rd groups due to linger lifetime (219.9 (0, 9%) and 544.2 kg (2.3%)). The heifers, which were first successfully inseminated at the age of 12-14 months, differed from the cows inseminated at a later stage by higher milk yield    for 305 days of the first lactation – on 562.7 kg (6.5%) (P <0.001), milk fat and protein in milk - on 19.3 (5.6%) and 17.3 kg (6.4%) (P <0.001), respectively. The heifers  inseminated in younger age have reached their maximum productivity at, the age of 1.6 lactation. The cows, successfully inseminated for the first time at the age of 1518 months, had high parameters of lifelong milk productivity (P <0.001). According to the milk yield, this variation was 2,294.5 kg (9.5%), the fat mass of  milk - 0.04%, 99.3 kg (10.2%), milk protein - 69, 2 kg (9.1%).

Abstract. The experiment was conducted on three farms of dairy goats. The experimental groups of animals were during the four months period supplemented with 5g Mepron®, (Degussa, Germany), daily. Milk yield, milk protein and milk fat content were recorded throughout the experiment. The milk production was statistically higher in the experimental group of animals on two farms, farm 1 and farm 3 in the first control period, a month after the application, whereas on farm 2, the higher milk production was present in the third and forth control period, two and three months after the application. During the experiment there was no statistically differences in milk protein and milk fat content between experimental and control groups on farm 1 and farm 2, whereas on farm 3 the milk fat content was statistically lower during the Mepron® supplementation. In conclusion, the higher milk production in the first control period on farm 1 and 3 with great probability referred to the influence of Mepron®. The higher milk production on farm 2 in the third and fourth control period coincided with introduction of alfalfa hay in daily ration, that may have enriched the amino acid supply.
