scholarly journals Contributing Factors of Good Corporate Governance and Employee Performance to Bank Performance

This study aims to figure out the influence of good corporate governance and employee performance on bank performance. The method used in this research is explanatory. The samples were 73 people including directors, Vice president division, chiefs of BJB branches based in Indonesia. To analyze the data, a PLS method was carried out to find out the contributing factors of good corporate governance and employee performance to bank performance. The results show that good corporate governance has a greater influence on the performance of the bank directly, rather than on the performance of the employee’s. Any findings on the of this research, which is the effectiveness of GCG, must be based on the road map that has been prepared by a top-down approach.

Changes in business environment lead various companies to continue to strive to improve their business strategies in order to survive and have a competitive advantage. The peak changes occurred with the coming of business era in the era of information and science. In this era, business strategies that are considered suitable, among others, the application of human resource development system based on human capital and company management based on corporate values and good corporate governance (GCG). PTPN VII as state-owned enterprise in agribusiness has tried to implement the system. This study aimed to examine the relationship between human capital, corporate values ​​and GCG and their relation to the performances of the employees and the company. The population of this research as many as 400 people consisted of the employees of PTPN VII head office, but the number of the samples set  was 120 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with quota sampling technique. The methods of processing and analyzing the data was structural equation modeling analysis-partial least squares (SEM-PLS),  and the data processing used software smartPLS. The results indicated that the implementation of human capital by the company contributed positively to the increase of the employee performance. The implementation and internalization of corporate values ​​to the employees positively contributed to the improvement of the employee performance. The increased employee performance  played a positive role in improving the company performance. The implementation of corporate governance principles could improve the performance of the company, but did not play a great role in improving employee performance

The present study attempted to investigate the role or training effectiveness on the employee performance of blue-collar employees working in Bahrain Transportation sector. Therein, the study examined the effectiveness of five different training programs offered to large vehicle drivers serving in the transportation industry. A total of 135 bus drivers from Alsadiq transport company Bahrain were sampled for the study to outline the effectiveness of three major training programs that they were offered including Customer Handling & Passenger Safety, Health & Hygiene and Guide to traffic laws and driving in Bahrain on their driving performance. Structural equation modeling using smart PLS was used for the present study for data analysis and interpretation. The study found a significant relationship impact of two programs on their driving performance of the respondents. The study forwards theoretical and practical implications and scope for further studies.

Objective: This study reports current status of knowledge and challenges associated with the emergency vehicle (police car, fire truck, and ambulance) crashes, with respect to the major contributing risk factors. Background: Emergency vehicle crashes are a serious nationwide problem, causing injury and death to emergency responders and citizens. Understanding the underlying causes of these crashes is critical for establishing effective strategies for reducing the occurrence of similar incidents. Method: We reviewed the broader literature associated with the contributing factors for emergency vehicle crashes: peer-reviewed journal papers; and reports, policies, and manuals published by government agencies, universities, and research institutes. Results: Major risk factors for emergency vehicle crashes identified in this study were organized into four categories: driver, task, vehicle, and environmental factors. Also, current countermeasures and interventions to mitigate the hazards of emergency vehicle crashes were discussed, and new ideas for future studies were suggested. Conclusion: Risk factors, control measures, and knowledge gaps relevant to emergency vehicle crashes were presented. Six research concepts are offered for the human factors community to address. Among the topics are emergency vehicle driver risky behavior carryover between emergency response and return from a call, distraction in emergency vehicle driving, in-vehicle driver assistance technologies, vehicle red light running, and pedestrian crash control. Application: This information is helpful for emergency vehicle drivers, safety practitioners, public safety agencies, and research communities to mitigate crash risks. It also offers ideas for researchers to advance technologies and strategies to further emergency vehicle safety on the road.

This study aims to determine: the effect of the role of the commissioners, to the implementation of the principles of good corporate governance, the influence of the role of the commissioners and the implementation of the principles of corporate governance either partially or simultaneously on the performance of Bank Perkreditan Rakyat in Tasikmalaya. The method used a quantitative descriptive study population is a Bank Perkreditan Rakyat in Tasikmalaya, sampling using purposive sampling technique, with analysis tools using path analysis. The results showed that: the role of the board of commissioners, the implementation of the principles of corporate governance and bank performance generally categorized as good; the role of commissioner to the application of the principles of good corporate governance positively and significantly; and, the role of the commissioner and the application of the principles of good corporate governance partially and simultaneously on the performance of positive and significant influence.

The results of this study indicate that based on the analysis of the BPR Sinar Kuta NPL formula in 2018 increased every year 2016 = 2.55%, 2017 = 3.12%, and 2018 =3.75%. and Liquidity risk using two ratios, namely LDR and LAR, has increased anddecreased. This shows that BPR Sinar Kuta has good profitability towards third partyrefunds. GCG Bank Sinar Kuta also has very good management as evidenced from 2016 -2018 showing a good composite predicate by determining a healthy bank valuation matrixbased on Bank Indonesia Regulation No.13 and the predicate is that all the compositevalues are still in greater or equal rules with (?) 1.5. When viewed from CAR, BankSinar Kuta is ranked 5th, it shows that Bank Sinar as a BPR Bank has a reasonable levelof health. Keywords: Factor Analysis, Bank Soundness, Bank Performance, RGEC

The paper deals with one of the most pressing problems in the field of management, the problem of employee satisfaction with working conditions. The value orientation of modern Russian society has changed significantly, partly under the influence of the axiological dominants of foreign economies, and partly due to the processes of reforms in the Russian society. At the forefront were such categories as success, efficiency, flexibility, stress resistance. However, all these trends do not always have a positive effect on the physical and mental health of employees. The experience of foreign colleagues dealing with occupational physiology can be taken into account in Russian conditions. More and more attention is paid to the problem of preventing premature employee burnout, to the study of the main motivational mechanisms that contribute to improving the quality of work. The study aims to analyze the objective and subjective factors of assessing employee performance in terms of quantitative and qualitative indicators. At the same time, the authors set the following goals: the systematization of the results of the employee survey; identification of the main problems in the workplace; development of mechanisms and methods for maintaining the motivation and health of employees; and, finally, the formation of an optimal image of a modern manager, focused on improving performance indicators and at the same time maintaining a good psychological climate in enterprises (such as government agencies, educational institutions, private companies or small businesses). It is concluded that a happy employee with a certain freedom of action, deserving the confidence of their superiors, is ready to fulfill the assigned tasks even in the face of loss of wages. Internal balance acquires the highest value for a modern employable person, and this must be taken into account when forming the road map for enterprises.

Regional Water Company (PDAM) is a company that is managed by the Local Government to operate as a body of community service that is selling services and trust in society. PDAM has to must still understand the behavior and wishes of the customers in the utilization of services of drinking water and the discretion of the company in the form term of service standards set, so as to provide a good service that causes customers to be satisfied.                One of the PDAM in Indonesia is PDAM Tirta Kahuripan located in Bogor. PDAM Tirta Kahuripan is often get complaints from their customers. Of the Many customers who complained about the poor service system so far is are leaky pipe impact on the high notes of erroneous meter, water quality is still dirty muddy, and sluggish handling of a complaint.                The aim of research is to find out a complaint management system in order to improve customer satisfaction at PDAM Tirta Kahuripan.               The theory used to analyze a system of customer complaints is the referring to the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform No. 3 Year of 2015 on the Road Map Development Complaints Public Service Nationwide with 3 sizes of complaint management : outcomes, targets, and programs. While, improving customer satisfaction using Fandi Tjiptono and Gregory Cahndra theory (2006: 130) with four dimensions to measure customer satisfaction : the system of complaints and suggestions, Customer satisfaction Survey, Ghost Shopping (Shadow Customer), and Customer Switching Analysis.               Research methods used in this research is descriptive quantitative method using questionnaires / questionnaire and interviews as the main instrument to collect data.                The results showed that the management of customer complaints in accordance with  to existing procedures with the acquisition of a score of is 3.32 according to the with category of interpretation of the category is as quite good enough (moderate).  Meanwhile, the results of data analysis by increasing customer satisfaction PDAM Tirta Kahuripan obtained a score of is 2.83 in the category with category of interpretation as good enough (moderate).                  Nevertheless, But there is a needs to be have a system or application that can be accessed in to the customer complaints and the organizers therefore PDAM can respond and follow complaint subsequently. Keywords : Complaint Management System , Customer Satisfaction

This study investigated the effectiveness of the WAIS–R Block Design subtest to predict everyday spatial ability for 65 university undergraduates (15 men, 50 women) who were administered Block Design, the Standardized Road Map Test of Direction Sense, and the Everyday Spatial Activities Test. In addition, the verbally loaded National Adult Reading Test was administered to assess whether the more visuospatial Block Design subtest was a better predictor of spatial ability. Moderate support was found. When age and sex were accounted for, Block Design accounted for 36% of the variance in performance ( r = -.62) on the Road Map Test and 19% of the variance on the performance of the Everyday Spatial Activities Test ( r = .42). In contrast, the scores on the National Adult Reading Test did not predict performance on the Road Map Test or Everyday Spatial Abilities Test. This suggests that, with appropriate caution, Block Design could be used as a measure of everyday spatial abilities.
