Recently, the world has been in a state of global crisis because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A significant number of spheres of activity, including such a global sphere of activity as tourism, are at risk of extinction. It’s understandable, that until the end of the pandemic, the resumption of tourism activities is almost impossible, since the safety of millions of people depends on it. However, the issue of maintaining and preserving the tourist interest of people – potential tourists – is more relevant than ever. The article emphasizes that in isolation to preserve tourist interest, it is advisable to use information technology. At this, according to the authors, among all means of information technology it is necessary to focus on virtual tours and excursions. Justifying this statement is a significant list of advantages provided by virtual tours and excursions in case of their creation and consistent implementation both on a paid and free basis for a wide range of potential consumers of tourist services. Also highlighted are advantages for objects and subjects of tourist activity. The authors allocate a variety of approaches to creating virtual tours and excursions in terms of attracting performers to create them. Among the performers, different categories of specialists with different levels of qualification and education are specified. In addition, the need for the mandatory involvement of professional guides is defined, specific knowledge and experience of which will allow to provide at least a minimum guarantee of the quality of virtual tours and excursions. Thus, the creation of virtual tours and excursions will not only preserve interest in tourist sites and destinations, but also provide work for a wide range of specialists even in crisis conditions. In addition, virtual tours and excursions can act as an independent tourist product, which in any case will bring financial and image profit to all the tourism sphere entities involved in its production.

Progress in information technology that is so fast is expected to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. In the world of information technology education can help and support the learning process. Especially now all the learning process activities can be done online. Progress in information technology must also be supported by quality human resources. In this case the teacher is very instrumental in the utilization of information technology in the world of education. Because the teacher is one of the education supervisors who will encourage the advancement of the quality of education in Indonesia. But in reality the quality of teachers in Indonesia is inadequate. There are still many teachers who cannot use information technology in learning especially for teachers who are senior or old. As teacher supervisors, they must improve the quality of their performance in using technology. To improve the ability of teachers to use technology, ongoing training is needed to use technology. The role of the head of the school as a supervisor is also needed, namely the principal is obliged to supervise, control, and approach the teacher in terms of the use of technology in the learning process.

The development of safe and effective vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases associated with high mortality or morbidity is among the most significant accomplishments in medicine. The ultimate goal of eradication of a disease through immunization is an elusive one, having been achieved for only one disease—smallpox. However, a significant reduction in the number of childhood cases of diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, and rubella has been realized through the use of modern immunizing agents. Recent introduction of vaccines for the prevention of invasive disease caused by Haemophilus influenzae will hopefully provide similar results in the near future. The success of a vaccine in preventing disease is dependent on both the quality of the immunizing agent and the degree to which it is utilized. Obviously, the safest and most effective vaccine in the world will contribute nothing to the decline of a disease without clinicians' efforts to immunize at-risk individuals and without a willingness on the part of these at-risk individuals (or their parents) to receive the vaccine. This critical issue of vaccine utilization deservingly receives attention in the medical literature with some frequency.1,2 Similarly, the quality of vaccines is frequently addressed in publications concerning aspects such as reactogenicity, immunogenicity, and overall efficacy.3-6 One important factor that can influence efficacy, however, is rarely discussed—how vaccines are handled during shipment and storage. Discussions concerning preservation of vaccine potency through proper storage and maintenance of the "cold chain" may seem more pertinent to developing countries of the world, where refrigeration is not readily available and exposure of stored product to extreme environmental conditions can be expected.7-9

The use of Information Technologies in government as a strategy for public sector reform has increased in the last few years. Governments around the world are attempting to obtain the benefits of what is now called “electronic government.” However, Information Technologies are only one component of what should be a much more complex reform strategy involving changes in organizational characteristics, institutional arrangements, and contextual factors. Based on a survey of public servants from the federal Mexican government and using institutional theory as the analytical lense, this chapter presents descriptive results about the characteristics, objectives, results, and success of inter-organizational electronic government initiatives. Overall, the projects were considered successful, and some of these aspects could be considered important for administrative reform efforts. The areas identified with the greatest success were (1) improvement in the quality of service, (2) creation of a more transparent government, and (3) creation of the necessary infrastructure for the use of Information Technologies. In contrast, the areas with room for improvement were (1) fostering citizen participation, (2) cost reduction, and (3) increased agency productivity.

The world of commerce has undergone a transformation since the early 1990s, which has increasingly included the utilization of information technologies by firms across industry sectors in order to achieve greater productivity and profitability. In other words, through use of such technologies as mainframes, PCs, telecommunications, state-of-the-art software applications and the Internet, corporations seek to utilize productive resources in a way that augment the efficiency with which they provide the most appropriate mix of goods and services to their ultimate consumer. This process has provided the backbone to the evolution of the information economy which has included increased investment in information technology (IT), the demand for IT labor and the initiation of such new paradigms as e-commerce.

This paper reviews the complex, overlapping ideas of two prominent Italian philosophers, Lorenzo Magnani and Luciano Floridi, with the aim of facilitating the nonviolent transformation of self and world, and with a focus on information technologies in mediating this process. In Floridi’s information ethics, problems of consistency arise between self-poiesis, anagnorisis, entropy, evil, and the narrative structure of the world. Solutions come from Magnani’s work in distributed morality, moral mediators, moral bubbles and moral disengagement. Finally, two examples of information technology, one ancient and one new, a Socratic narrative and an information processing model of moral cognition, are offered as mediators for the nonviolent transformation of self and world respectively, while avoiding the tragic requirements inherent in Floridi’s proposal.
