In today’s world, information technologies and systems are becoming more diverse and multifaceted. The spheres of their activity are changing and expanding, offering new qualities and characteristics of social development. The information component has been an important element for the formation of potential competition between countries and the development of international relations for decades. Technology affects the development of the economy, but there are many factors that affect the quality of technology and their modifications. One such factor is COVID-19 pandemic. Pandemic has forced information technology to penetrate even deeper into human life. Now, with the help of IT, people not only are able to store, process, and analyze information, but also companies are capable of managing subordinates, and they in turn have the most comfortable conditions for work and achieving goals. And in general, due to pandemic systems for distance learning and delivery of any goods anywhere have been developed. After analyzing statistics, presented in this article, we can make a conclusion that over the past year, information technology has been greatly affected by the pandemic, but it has become an integral part of economic (and not only) development of countries. “Closed circle” has been created – due to the development of technology the state of the economy is improving, and together with the development of the economy more and more new technologies are needed.

Air transport as an organized form of service provision, especially in passenger transport, can be important for increasing the number of foreign tourists. Globalization and the development of information technologies have contributed to the development of the business model of airlines, which has enabled a significant reduction in the cost of air travel and the accelerated development of this industry. Therefore, the emphasis is placed on the global trend of development of low-cost airlines, their way of doing business and the effects they have on the development of tourism. The increase in the number of low-budget airlines has multiple effects on the development of international tourism and passenger transport due to cheaper transport, which is made possible by improving the competitiveness of air transport after its deregulation. In addition, lower prices and a better logistical position can contribute to an increase in the number of foreign tourists and a higher income for this industry, as well as other related economic activities. The aim of this paper is to examine through theoretical and empirical insight whether there is an impact of low-cost airlines on the volume of air traffic and the intensity of passenger transport, with an emphasis on existing literature, as well as empirical confirmation on the example of Serbia. The conducted research has important implications, since in pandemic conditions, further development of low-budget airlines is expected to contribute to the recovery of air traffic and tourism.

This paper reviews the complex, overlapping ideas of two prominent Italian philosophers, Lorenzo Magnani and Luciano Floridi, with the aim of facilitating the nonviolent transformation of self and world, and with a focus on information technologies in mediating this process. In Floridi’s information ethics, problems of consistency arise between self-poiesis, anagnorisis, entropy, evil, and the narrative structure of the world. Solutions come from Magnani’s work in distributed morality, moral mediators, moral bubbles and moral disengagement. Finally, two examples of information technology, one ancient and one new, a Socratic narrative and an information processing model of moral cognition, are offered as mediators for the nonviolent transformation of self and world respectively, while avoiding the tragic requirements inherent in Floridi’s proposal.

The paper examines the trends of international business in the field of information technology in the context of global constraints associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. In terms of global restrictions, the role of information technology development in the resilience of companies to changes in the external environment and ensuring the possibility of business survival is particularly acute. Analytical IT forecasts need to be considered to be ready for change. It was found that despite the appearance of growth in the field of information technology, due to the pandemic, and the transition of a many number of operations online, in general, there is a reduction. These trends are due to the fact that in the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, most companies and individuals will delay the modernization of hardware and software, trying to use what already exists. However, a more detailed analysis shows the heterogeneity in the change in demand for certain types of information technology services. Thus, there is an increase in such information technology services as public cloud services and video conferencing, and the presence of deferred demand in declining areas. At the same time, it can be argued that in the long run we can expect a resumption of rapid growth in demand for most information technology services, the consumption of which has been postponed. Today, software vendors help companies of all sizes and industries survive, grow and grow. We looked at the ten most profitable IT companies in the world in 2020. All of them have the highest revenue as of November 18, 2020. The ranking includes mainly US companies, countries with developed post-industrial economies. Almost 80 % of US GDP is accounted for by services, which has made them a world leader in this segment. Material production accounts for only 20 % of GDP, including all industries, agriculture and forestry, construction. Focus on scientific and technological progress is one of the hallmarks of an effective economic system. Given the current trends in the development of IT technologies, we can say that they are the driving force of global transformation and economic growth of the world, as well as increase the competitive advantage of any economic entity.
