This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to increase knowledge and train teachers in creating and applying learning tools based on scientific approaches that contain the character and creating and applying contextual and innovative media/teaching aids in learning. The method of implementing PKM activities consists of socialization, seminars, training, mentoring, and implementation. Participants in PKM activities are science teachers at SMP and equivalent who are members of the MGMP IPA for SMP Kota Singkawang. The results of the activity show that the teachers are enthusiastic about participating in the series of activities carried out; the teachers are motivated to make science learning media and apply them in classroom learning. Teachers are motivated to create and apply learning models based on scientific approaches with character learning in the classroom.

Abstract This research was conducted with the main objective to develop a model of character education integrated with science learning in elementary, junior, and senior high schools. The research was focused on the needs analysis study involving 36 elementary school science teachers, 34 junior high school science teachers and 27 senior high school science teachers to collect information on science learning in relation to character education. Data were collected by questionnaires, observation and interviewing techniques. Data were analyzed by descriptive and qualitative meaning. The results showed that: 1) character education can be developed through selection of science learning model, assessment model, and teaching materials, 2) science learning models that contribute significantly to the development of the character of students are inquiry learning, problem-based learning, cooperative learning , science-technology-society, problem solving, and contextual learning models, 3) science teacher’s responses to the character education are generally very positive and seek to develop good character through a learning process, 4) some (55.3%) science teachers include indicators of character values that to be target of learning in the syllabus and lesson plans, and some (44.7%) do not explicitly specify its, but implicitly implied in the syllabus and lesson plans. This research aims to identify the difficulties of science learning among sixth grade students as determined and estimated by science teachers and students. To achieve the aims of this research, the researcher depends on the analysis descriptive approach. It identifies the percentages of the difficulty aspects included in questionnaires. For this purpose, the researcher designed two templates of questionnaires. First questionnaire consists of 20 items regarding the difficulties of science learning from students' perspective. Second questionnaire consists of 22 items regarding impediments of science learning from teachers' perspective. The validity and reliability of questionnaires were established. A random sample of 24 science teachers and 295 sixth grade students was used in Mubarak Al-kabeer area. The study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2018-2019.The findings reveal that there are no significant differences in the responses of students in different schools about the difficulties of science learning listed in the questionnaires such as the required topics quantity that forms a common difficulty for the student and the teacher in the same time , and some topics that needs longer time more than the given time in the lesson plans to explain and simplify them for the students. In light of the findings of the research were presented a number of recommendations and proposals, including: the need for attention to quantity and quality of academic content, where suitable for students in the sixth grade level and the specificity of the stage they are going through, the need to use teaching methods, activities and teaching aids, and to train in-service teachers on modern trends in science education.

This research is motivated by still many obstacles faced by teachers, including, not all teachers develop the Syllabus and Implementation Plan of Learning well. In addition, the researchers also found that some teachers did not make plans for implementing learning in carrying out classroom learning, so the teacher taught without preparation at all. Then in the implementation of teaching and learning interactions, not all teachers use teaching aids / media and various learning models. The method used is less varied, only lectures and questions and answers. The purpose of this study was to improve teacher performance through supervision of class visits by principals. this research was conducted at SDN 26 Bathin Solapan. The subjects of this study were all six class teachers. The results of the study prove that, there was an increase in assessment after supervision of class visits. The increase is as follows: in the first cycle the class I teacher got an average score of 71 while in the second cycle it increased to 86.3. Class II teacher, in the first cycle got an average score of 69.6, while the second cycle increased to 86.6. Class III teachers in the first cycle got an average score of 68.3, while the second cycle increased to 83.6. Grade IV teachers in the first cycle got an average score of 67, while the second cycle increased to 89. The fifth grade teacher in the first cycle got an average score of 69.6, while the second cycle increased to 87.3, and the class VI teacher in the first cycle got the average score. 72, while the second cycle increased to 89. From these results, researchers can conclude that by implementing supervision of class visits by principals can improve teacher performance at SDN 26 Bathin Solapan.

The community partnership program implemented in Aisyiyah Kindergarten aimed to improve thecompetence of kindergarten teachers in the application of multimedia learning. The existence of technologicalchanges, as well as changes in student generation are of concern to all educators so that they can also improve andchange the learning model that has been applied. The activities applied to improve the competence of teachers inAisyiyah Kindergarten were: a) Trainedthe Kindergarten teachers to find out the method of using ICT in learning; b)Trainedthe teacher groups to skillfully plan ICT-based learning for PAUD children. The activity was conducted inManuruki Street, Tamalate District. The implementation methods used were the lecture method and practice. Theteachers were given knowledge about learning models for millennial generations and the Alpha generation.Furthermore, they were offered practical activities, including making slide presentations in Microsoft power pointand creating the media for audio video providers, namely media-based website or youtube.com. The observationresults of the program implementation showed high interest of teachers to learn and actively ask questions in thetraining process. Thus, this community service partnership program could help in improving the quality of thelearning process.

AbstrakPembelajaran IPA dan laboratorium tidak dapat dipisahkan keberadaannya secara fungsional. Guru sebagai komponen penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan menjadi protokol dalam kegiatan pembelajaran IPA berbasis laboratorium dan pengelolaannya. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikan alat peraga laboratorium, serta meningkatkan kemampuan guru terhadap teknik pengelalolaan laboratorium dan keterampilan menggunakan alat laboratorium guru. Kegiatan pelatihan ini menerapkan strategi kontekstual, yaitu mengaitkan antara teori dengan praktik yang disampaikan  dengan metoda praktik terbimbing yaitu sistem pengajaran yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi mengenai pengelolaan laboratorium. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini bertempat di SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, dengan subjek kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah 75 orang guru mata pelajaran IPA SMP/MTs se-Kota Bandar Lampung. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan ini menunjukan bahwa ada peningkatan pengetahuan managerial laboratorium, dimana seluruh kemampuan peseta meningkat kecuali bagi para peserta yang tidak mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan hingga akhir. Kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan alat peraga (kit) IPA sudah baik. Hasil penilaian 100% guru telah mencapai standar ketuntasan yaitu > 70. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pelatihan dikatagorikan berhasil dalam meningatkan kemampuan guru IPA MTs se-Kota Bandar Lampung tata kelola laboratorium dan penggunaan perangkat/kit IPA serta mampu mengenal fungsi dan kegunaan alat dan bahan praktikum dalam menunjang pembelajaran IPA. Kata kunci: alat peraga IPA, pembelajaran IPA, pengelolaan laboratorium. Training of Laboratory Management And use of Natural Science Teaching AidsFor Junior High School Science Teachers in Bandar LampungAbstractScience and laboratory learning is not be separated as functionally tools. The teacher as an important component in determining the success of education becomes a protocol in laboratory-based science learning activities and its management. The purpose of this training activity was to improve the ability of teachers to operate laboratory teaching aids, and to manage laboratory techniques. The method used in this activity was to applying the contextual strategy to linked theory with practice delivered with the guided practice method. There was teaching system oriented towards solving problems encountered regarding laboratory management. The implementation of the training activities took place at SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, which was held for 4 days (32 hours). The subjects in this training activity were 75 Junior High School Science Teachers in Bandar Lampung. The results of this training activity showed that there was an increase in laboratory managerial knowledge, where all trainees' abilities increased except for participants who did not attend the training activities until the end. The ability of teachers to use science teaching aids (kits) is good. The results of the 100% assessment of teachers have reached the completeness standard of >70. Therefores, the training activities are categorized as successful in reminding the ability of science teachers throughout Bandar Lampung in laboratory management and the use of science devices and being able to recognize the functions and usefulness of practical tools and materials in supporting science learning.Key words: science teaching aids, science learning, laboratory management.

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 changed the way of looking at education. The changes made are not just a way of teaching, but are far more essential that is in the perspective on the concept of education itself. The competence of Biology teachers in Enrekang Regency in designing learning tools and media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is still low. This community partnership program activity aimed to improve the ability of high school biology teachers to use android-based e-book creation software. In the implementation of this training activity, the following results were obtained: (1) Increasing the ability of MGMP teachers for Biology subject in Enrekang Regency in designing Android-based e-book learning media, (2) As the assessment, an overall average score of this program was 4.93 (categorized as good criteria). Based on the results of this community partnership program, it is hoped that the results can be a good input for the Enrekang Regency Education office in particular, education practitioners and the government in general. To sum up,  the ability of teachers related to the application of technology and information in learning activities using various technology utilization through sorts of trainings still need hard efforts to increase.

Survey of questionnaire-based research was conducted to assess the perspective of junior high school (JHS) science teachers on scientific literacy in science learning. Four perspectives for teachers in JHS on scientific literacy were obtained from the research results of the experiments, namely the reading of scientific texts, scientific knowledge, the use of science in everyday life and the use of science-based learning tools. The majority of participants chose the response choice to train all students to apply science learning results in decision-making on daily life challenges. Thus, JHS Science Teachers in Purwakata Regency have a variety of scientific literacy perspectives, but there is no perspective that is considered outside the context of scientific literacy

This community partnership program (PPM) aims to improve teacher professionalism through modification of the learning model. Improving learning practices is an alternative for the development of quality of learning that is oriented towards the benefit of students. The method used in community partnership activities with resembles a ToT (trainer of trainer) form by collaborative-participatory dialogic approach includes in-house training (lectures, questions and answers, discussions) for the delivery of material, direct practice for making modifications to learning models, testing, modeling modification practices. Supervision and visits to ensure the running of training results and to get support from resources in the continued implementation of improving the quality of learning. The training participants in the community partnership program activities included 15 participants from several elementary school teachers in Kahu Subdistrict and also involved students as teacher assistants in modifying the learning model. The results achieved are knowledge partners about learning models, partners are able to modify learning models according to teaching materials and class situations that are innovative, interesting and fun.

The purpose of the science teacher training program organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture with Empowerment of partner 1 teachers through the partnership program is to improve the ability of partner 2 teachers in understanding and applying science learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The Training Method is On The Job Learning with a pattern of pairing more competent teachers (having high Teachers Competency Test/UKG scores and coming from developed regions) called partner teacher 1 with teachers deemed not competent (having low UKG scores and coming from disadvantaged areas) called partner teacher 2. The sample of this study was a science teachers' at SMP Negeri 1 Tilamuta (Middle School) and SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province. The results obtained, a collaborative program through partnerships in basic education teachers with training methods on work learning partner teachers in Boalemo district 2 in Gorontalo province who initially did not understand and never applied the 21st Century Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) specifically Discovery Learning learning models and models Project Based Learning (PjBl) is understood and able to implement it in the classroom even though it still feels strange. Students also become happy with the model implemented by the 2 teacher's partners in the class. The interview results show that at SMP 1 Tilamuta Boalemo, 94% of students were happy with the lessons given by the teacher. While in SMP 1 Wonosari Boalemo as many as 90% of students said they were happy with sustainable learning.
