Abstract: Breast milk is the best food for babies, especially in the first month of life. Breast milk contains all nutrients to build and provide the energy needed by the baby. The low rate of breastfeeding is a threat to child development. Several factors related to the success of exclusive breastfeeding are the level of knowledge of the mother and husband's support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers and husband's support  towards the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Lubuk Kilangan Puskesmas in 2017. This study was analytical with a cross sectional design. The population in this study amounted to 153 respondents. A sample of 31 respondents obtained by simple ramdom sampling. Data were analyzed bivariate. The statistical test results obtained p-value = 0,000. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and husband's support for the success of exclusive breastfeeding.

Sparked by recent scholarly interest in identifying the drivers or antecedents of employee engagement, this article examines the relationship between an employee’s perception of voice and his or her propensity to socially engage in the form of sharing advice. In this article, we conceptualize an employee’s perception of voice as multi-directional in nature. This is because, whether directed upward, downward, or laterally, employees will develop multiple perceptions of voice as they distinguish between their social exchanges across and within the various levels of the organization. Surveying the city workforce of Marietta, Georgia, we found a positive perception of voice is a key driver or antecedent to advice sharing across vertical boundaries with superiors and subordinates and across lateral boundaries with peers. Yet contrary to what the literature would suggest about the influence of superiors on subordinates, we found that low perceptions of upward voice (i.e., perceptions shaped by those at higher levels of the organization) did not influence an employee’s decision to share advice with his or her own subordinates or peers. This research shifts some much-needed attention toward advice sharing as a social manifestation of employee engagement and establishes the importance of assessing and managing an employee’s multiple perceptions of voice.

Breast milk contains substance known as IgA for the defense system in digestive tract against infection. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and working mothers with exclusive breastfeeding in Sidomulyo, Stabat. The type of research used is a descriptive analytic survey using a cross sectional study. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with 150 as population and 30 people is involved as the research sample.  The data analysis applied chi square test to determine the relationship between two variables. The results of this study revealed that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge of exclusive breast feeding with a significant level (ɑ) = 5% (0.05) and df = 2, the result is value = 0.026 at df = 2 where sig <ɑ (0.026 < 0.05) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.  Therefore, mothers are advised to continue to provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies even though they work by storing breast milk in the refrigerator.

Abstract Background It is well established that exclusive breastfeeding can play a critical role in reducing child morbidity and mortality. Limited research has been done thus far on the practice and perceptions of breastfeeding in Sierra Leone, where more than 10 % of children die before the age of five. This study aimed to gain understanding into and explore both matters in order to develop recommendations for effective strategies to promote breastfeeding practice in Pujehun District, Southern Sierra Leone. Methods This exploratory mixed-method study included a cross-sectional survey of 194 mothers, semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. Logistic regression analysis was used calculated odds ratios of factors associated with primarily breastfeeding practice, defined as ‘Children under six months of age who are fed with breast milk only and children older than six months of age that were exclusively breastfed up to six months’, based on recall from birth. Exclusive breastfeeding rate was based on breastfeeding practice 24 h prior to the survey. Qualitative data was analysed through a deductive approach, using a pre-determined framework on determinants of breastfeeding. Results This study revealed an exclusive breastfeeding rate of 62.8% (95% CI 53.9, 71.7); dropping from 74% in the 0–1-month age group to 33% in the 4–5 months group. Triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data revealed enabling factors for primarily breastfeeding practice included mothers receiving support during their first breastfeed, pregnant women being provided with information on the benefits of the practice, counselling by nurses, support from husbands, and women’s awareness of how their friends and family members fed their own babies. The main barriers were a lack of encouragement by husbands, women’s perception that their infants’ stools were abnormal or that they were not producing enough breast milk. Conclusions Although the exclusive breastfeeding may have risen over recent years, a gap remains compared to World Health Organization recommendations. According to the breastfeeding determinants identified in this study, promotion of counselling by a nurse, encouragement of husbands’ support, and improve knowledge of mothers on breastfeeding are recommended to be incorporated in the design of future health programs.

Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar memberikan MP ASI dibawah usia 6 bulan, sebagian besar mengalami kerentan penyakit dan terdapat hubungan antara pemberian MP ASI dibawah usia 6 bulan dengan kerentanan penyakit di Desa Payung Agung Kecamatan Panumbangan Kabupaten Ciamis 2014.MP-ASI (Companion Food-Breast Milk) is food or drink other than ASI that contains nutrients given to the baby after the baby is ready or 6 months old. Breast milk companion food is a supplement for babies. This food should be complementary and can meet the needs of the baby. So in addition to breast milk supplements, breast milk should still be given to babies at least until the age of 24 months. The results of the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) in 2013 found that Exclusive Breastfeeding increased only about 10% in the period 2007-2013. In SDKI in 2007 the number of exclusive breastfeeding was only about 32%, and in SDKI in 2013 increased to 42%, although there is an increase this is still far from the perfect figure. The success of Exclusive Breastfeeding in West Java reached 42% of the target of 80%. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the provision of MP ASI less than 6 months with the susceptibility to disease in Payung Agung Village, Panumbangan District, Ciamis Regency in 2014. This type of research is to use analytical surveys with case control (retrospective) approach.
