Penglibatan dan daya tarikan bidang keusahawanan semakin meningkat ekoran daripada kemajuan teknologi yang turut memberi kesan positif kepada dunia perniagaan melalui platform digital seperti Alibaba, Shopee, Lazada dan sebagainya. Budaya pembelian secara atas talian yang semakin popular dalam kalangan pengguna, menjadikan fokus para peniaga mula teralih kepada menjalankan perniagaan melalui platform digital. Bagi mengimbangi kehendak semasa dalam bidang keusahawanan, kebanyakan institut pengajian tinggi mula membuat perubahan terhadap kursus-kursus pengajian supaya merangkumi aspek keusahawanan. Perubahan ini diharapkan dapat mengubah persepsi, minat dan memberi galakan kepada para pelajar untuk menjadikan bidang keusahawanan sebagai salah satu kerjaya selepas menamatkan pengajian. Walaupun begitu, masih lagi wujud stigma tentang kerugian kepada para graduan bukan bidang keusahawanan yang menyertai bidang keusahawanan selepas tamat pengajian dan persepsi ketidakmampuan graduan untuk menyertai bidang keusahawan akibat kekurangan pengetahuan berkait keusahawanan semasa mengikuti kursus pengajian masing-masing. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini akan merungkai kesan pembelajaran kursus pengajian yang ditawarkan di ACIS dalam memberikan keyakinan kepada para pelajar untuk menyertai bidang keusahawanan. Kajian ini akan menggunapakai kaedah kuantitatif melalui soal selidik kepada sejumlah pelajar yang sedang mengikuti pengajian di ACIS. Hasil soal selidik dianalisis menggunakan kaedah SPSS bagi menjawab objektif kajian. Hasil kajian mendapati wujud sikap dan minat yang positif dalam kalangan pelajar untuk menyertai bidang keusahawanan serta pelajar percaya bahawa kursus pengajian yang telah mereka ikuti memberi pengetahuan dan keyakinan untuk menceburi bidang keusahawanan. Justeru, kajian ini diharap dapat membantu pelbagai pihak untuk meletakkan aspek keusahawanan sebagai elemen penting dalam struktur pengajian.   The involvement and attractiveness of entrepreneurship are increasing due to technological advances that also positively impact the business world through digital platforms such as Alibaba, Shopee, Lazada, and so on. An increasingly popular online purchasing culture among consumers, making the focus of traders began to flower business through digital platforms. To offset the current needs of entrepreneurship, most institutes of higher learning began to make changes to courses for entrepreneurship. This change is expected to change the perception, interest and encourage students to make entrepreneurship one of the careers after graduation. Nevertheless, there is still a stigma about losses to graduates non-entrepreneurship participating in entrepreneurship after graduation and perception of graduates to participate in entrepreneurship due to lack of entrepreneurial-linked knowledge during their respective courses. As such, this study will undermine the impact of learning courses offered in ACIS in providing confidence to students to participate in entrepreneurship. This study will apply quantitative methods through the questionnaire to several students studying in the ACIS. The following questionnaire will then be analyzed using the SPSS method to answer the objectives of the study. The findings show that there are positive attitudes and interests among students to participate in entrepreneurship and students believe that the course of study they have followed provides knowledge and confidence to venture into entrepreneurship. Hence, this study is expected to help various parties to place entrepreneurial aspects as an important element in the structure of the study.

Inclusive education is arguably currently one of the most debated topics in the field of education. With more and more families opting for this approach to education for their special needs child, there is a rise in the number of schools adopting this approach. The present study examines the perceptions of visually impaired individuals towards inclusive education in Malaysia, including the challenges faced. The impact on their social lives was also investigated. Participants for the study comprised of 4 visually impaired individuals who had previously gone through inclusive education in their secondary school years. Employing a qualitative approach, a semi-structured interview was conducted in order to generate an in-depth insight into the phenomenon. The results of the study have indicated overall positive experiences for the participants. While the majority of the teachers were reported to show positive attitudes towards the participants, there were rare occurrences of teachers being unaware of the appropriate approaches of including the visually impaired students while teaching. Moreover, although there were a few instances of being bullied by peers, this improved once the visually impaired and their sighted peers began to socialize and understand each other. This positive repercussion of socialization was evident in the social development of the participants with regard to their working life and relationships with others. Some suggestions were made by the participants, which have been put forth as implications. These include more viable education options and widespread opportunities for attaining stable jobs. Nonetheless, further research is required in the field involving female participants to gain a wider perspective on the phenomenon, while the integration of quantitative methods of data collection will generate more conclusive outcomes.

Abstract. Multiculturalism has been criticized and rejected by an increasing number of politicians, and social psychological research has shown that it can lead to outgroup stereotyping, essentialist thinking, and negative attitudes. Interculturalism has been proposed as an alternative diversity ideology, but there is almost no systematic empirical evidence about the impact of interculturalism on the acceptance of migrants and minority groups. Using data from a survey experiment conducted in the Netherlands, we examined the situational effect of promoting interculturalism on acceptance. The results show that for liberals, but not for conservatives, interculturalism leads to more positive attitudes toward immigrant-origin groups and increased willingness to engage in contact, relative to multiculturalism.

Subject. The article addresses economic relations that are formed in various areas of economic application of digital platforms. The target of the research is the modern economy of digital platforms across different economic activities. Objectives. The aim is to systematize principles for share economy formation in the context of the digital society development. Methods. We employ general scientific methods of research. Results. The study shows that the development of digital platforms is one of the most important trends in the development of the modern economy. We classified certain characteristic features of modern digital platforms, analyzed principles for their creation. The paper emphasizes that the network effects achieved through the use of digital platforms are an important factor in the development of the share economy. The network effect describes the impact of the number of the platform users on the value created for each of them. The paper also considers differences in the organization of traditional economy companies and companies that are based on the digital platform model, reveals specifics of changes in socio-economic systems caused by the development of digital platforms, systematizes principles of the sharing economy formation in the context of the digital society development. Conclusions. The analyzed principles for sharing economy development on the basis of digital platforms can be applied to create models for the purpose of forecasting the transformation of economic activity in the post-industrial society.

RESUMO:Este artigo trata dos impactos das plataformas digitais no Direito do Trabalho, tomando como exemplo sintomático o padrão da plataforma Uber. Inicia discutindo o cenário da economia digital e suas transformações nos modos de organizar a atividade empresarial, caracterizando a disrupção destas tecnologias e examinando criticamente se tais inovações situam-se realmente no discurso de economia do compartilhamento. Adiante, aborda as condições fáticas das plataformas de trabalho, questionando a dimensão formal-jurídica de liberdade e a condição econômica de hipossuficiência. Examina o caso da Uber como paradigma do modelo de organização empresarial desta economia digital e a situação dos seus motoristas tidos como parceiros para, ao final, pontuar algumas conclusões a cerca da necessidade do Direito Trabalho estar conectado com essas novas relações sociaisABSTRACT:This article deals with the impact of digital platforms in Labor Law, taking as a symptomatic example the standards of the Uber platform. It begins by discussing the the digital economy scenario and its transformations in the way business activity organize itself, characterizing the disruption of these technologies and critically examining whether such innovations are really part of the sharing economy speech. Hereinafter, it addresses the factual conditions of work platforms, questioning the formal-legal dimension of freedom and the economic condition of hypo-sufficiency. It examines the case of Uber as a paradigm of a business model organization in the digital economy and the situation of its drivers, taken as partners in order to, in the end of it, point some conclusions about the need of Labor Law to be connected with these new social relationships.

UNSTRUCTURED Users of highly visual social media (HVSM), such as Snapchat and Instagram, share their messages through images, rather than relying on words. A significant proportion of people that use these platforms are adolescents. Previous research reveals mixed evidence regarding the impact of online social technologies on this age group’s mental wellbeing, but it is uncertain whether the psychological effects of visual content alone differ from text-driven social media. This scoping review maps existing literature that has published evidence about highly visual social media, specifically its psychological impact on young people. Nine electronic databases and grey literature from 2010 until March 2019 were reviewed for articles describing any aspect of visual social media, young people and their mental health. The screening process retrieved 239 articles. With the application of eligibility criteria, this figure was reduced to 25 articles for analysis. Results indicate a paucity of data that exclusively examines HVSM. The predominance of literature relies on quantitative methods to achieve its objectives. Many findings are inconsistent and lack the richness that qualitative data may provide to explore the reasons for theses mixed findings.

Political conversation is at the heart of democratic societies, and it is an important precursor of political engagement. As society has become intertwined with the communication infrastructure of the Internet, we need to understand its uses and the implications of those uses for democracy. This chapter provides an overview of the core topics of scholarly concern around online citizen deliberation, focusing on three key areas of research: the standards of quality of communication and the normative stance on citizen deliberation online; the impact and importance of digital platforms in structuring political talk; and the differences between formal and informal political talk spaces. After providing a critical review of these three major areas of research, we outline directions for future research on online citizen deliberation.

ABSTRACT Background The patient-centered medical home (PCMH) is an accepted framework for delivering high-quality primary care, prompting many residencies to transform their practices into PCMHs. Few studies have assessed the impact of these changes on residents' and faculty members' PCMH attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The family medicine program at Brown University achieved Level 3 PCMH accreditation in 2010, with training relying primarily on situated learning through immersion in PCMH practice, supplemented by didactics and a few focused clinical activities. Objective To assess PCMH knowledge and attitudes after Level 3 PCMH accreditation and to identify additional educational needs. Methods We used a qualitative approach, with semistructured, individual interviews with 12 of the program's 13 postgraduate year 3 residents and 17 of 19 core faculty. Questions assessed PCMH knowledge, attitudes, and preparedness for practicing, teaching, and leading within a PCMH. Interviews were analyzed using the immersion/crystallization method. Results Residents and faculty generally had positive attitudes toward PCMH. However, many expressed concerns that they lacked specific PCMH knowledge, and felt inadequately prepared to implement PCMH principles into their future practice or teaching. Some exceptions were faculty and resident leaders who were actively involved in the PCMH transformation. Barriers included lack of time and central roles in PCMH activities. Conclusions Practicing in a certified PCMH training program, with passive PCMH roles and supplemental didactics, appears inadequate in preparing residents and faculty for practice or teaching in a PCMH. Purposeful curricular design and evaluation, with faculty development, may be needed to prepare the future leaders of primary care.

Nepotism and cronyism are forms of favoritism towards certain people in the workplace. For this reason, they constitute a problem for organization managers, ethicists and psychologists. Identifying the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the increase of nepotism and cronyism may provide a basis for organizations to assess their extent and to take possible measures to prevent their negative effects. At the same time, the research presented in the article may provide a basis for further research work related to nepotism and cronyism at the times of other threats, different from the pandemic. The aim of the article is to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on growing acceptance for nepotism and cronyism in Polish enterprises. Qualitative and quantitative methods have been included in the conducted research. Qualitative study aimed at improving knowledge of nepotism and cronyism and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on these phenomena, followed by a quantitative study conducted in order to verify the information obtained in the qualitative study. This research has demonstrated that Nepotism and cronyism in the workplace, are phenomenon that are basically evaluated negatively. They adversely influences social and economic development, but the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on nepotism and cronyism is not significant.

Objective: This study sought to investigate the impact of a service user-led anti-stigma and discrimination education programme, encompassing numerous interventions focused on facilitating multiple forms of social contact, the promotion of recovery, and respect for human rights, on medical student attitudes. Method: A comparison cohort study was used to compare the attitudes of two cohorts of medical students who received this programme as part of their fifth (the fifth-year cohort) or sixth (the sixth-year cohort) year psychological medical education attachment (programme cohorts) with two cohorts of equivalent students who received a standard psychological medical attachment (control cohorts). Attitudes to recovery (using the Recovery Attitudes Questionnaire) and stigma (using the Opening Minds Scale for Healthcare Providers) were measured at the beginning and end of the attachments for each year and compared both within and between the cohorts using Wilcoxon signed-rank or Wilcoxon rank-sum tests. Results: With sample sizes ranging from 46 to 70 across all cohorts, after their psychological medicine attachment both the programme and control cohorts showed more positive attitudes towards recovery and less stigmatising attitudes towards people with lived experience of mental distress. Significant differences between the programme cohorts and the control cohorts were found for recovery attitudes (median difference of 2, p < 0.05 in both fifth and sixth year), with particularly large differences being found for the ‘recovery is possible and needs faith’ subdomain of the Recovery Attitudes Questionnaire. There were no significant between cohort differences in terms of stigmatising attitudes as measured by the Opening Minds Scale for Healthcare Providers. Conclusion: The introduction of a comprehensive service user-led anti-stigma and education programme resulted in significant improvements in recovery attitudes compared to a control cohort. However, it was not found to be similarly superior in facilitating less stigmatising attitudes. Various possible reasons for this are discussed.

Abstract Learning through reflection is one of the most interesting experiences that students might have. It is considered a very good tool for self-assessing learning. It is believed that “teachers who promote reflective classrooms ensure that students are fully engaged in the process of making meaning” (Costa and Kallick, 2008, para.5). Dewey (1991) was among the first researchers who based his work and research on the positive roles that reflection plays in fostering self-reflection and critical thinking. He has defined it as an active, persistent and careful consideration of any belief. Reflections give students opportunities to think and reflect about their learning and note down the obstacles they might face during this process. The present study aims to investigate the impact of journal writing in promoting critical-thinking skills, and its impact on enhancing learning. The study uses two instruments, a student refection journal and an interview. Also, Marzano’s New Taxonomy of Educational Objectives developed in 2000 was used in the third phase of the study. This Taxonomy contains Three Systems: the Self-system, the Metacognitive system and the Cognitive system. The overall study results show that reflection journals help students to become more independent learners, reflect on their learning experiences and identify the most useful learning strategies. Most importantly, all study participants hold positive attitudes towards reflection and they consider it as a valuable tool which can increase learning.
