This study deals with the effects of applying drama method in the teaching of environmental issues in science courses on the achievement, retention of learning, student interest and attitudes of primary school students and also whether these effects are dependent on teachers. The study was designed on the basis of the Solomon Four-Group Design. The study is a two group pre- and post-test experiment in two parts, each part having an experimental and control group. The courses were delivered to both groups by the researcher in the first part and drama teacher in the second. The experimental groups received 144 hours of teaching for six weeks, during which a drama course outline was employed, while in the control groups the courses followed the course outlines covered in the curricula. The data were collected using the Environmental Achievement Test, Interest Scale towards the Environment and Attitude Scale towards Science. The findings suggest that the teachers had some effects on the methods, but the significant differences in scores were due to the drama method, which was found to improve the achievement of the third-grade students and the interest towards environment and attitudes towards science of both third- and fourth-grade students. This research aims to analyze the effects of argumentation-based teaching (ABT) on the 4th-grade students’ academic achievement, argumentative tendencies and attitude towards science. The universe of the research was 4th-grade students studying in Yığılca district of Düzce province in the 2017-2018 academic year, in Turkey. The sample of the research consists of 37 4th grade students studying in two different classes. The pretest-posttest matched control group design was used which is one of semi-experimental design techniques. While activities related to ABT were administered to the experimental group, the existing curriculum was applied for the control group. The data of the research were collected using three tools: science achievement test (AT), science attitude scale (SAS), and argumentativeness scale (AS). All data collection tools were administered to experiment and control groups as pre-test and post-test to determine if there was a difference after the application. The findings revealed that the academic achievement of the students was significantly influenced by the activities related to ABT. However, there was no significant difference between experimental and control groups in terms of argumentative tendencies and their attitude towards science.

The aim of this research is to examine the effects of creative drama method on students' achievements towards the music lesson . In addition to this, in the research, it was aimed to develop appropriate educational activities prepared with creative drama method for the theoretical subjects of music, to eliminate the unwillingness of students towards these subjects, to facilitate the learning of information about music theory, to make learning fun and permanent, and to provide the student to learn voluntarily. In this study; For the determined purpose, creative drama method was applied in the teaching of theoretical knowledge of the 4th grade musical perception and information learning field in the 2018-2019 Academic Year Music Course Education Program of the Ministry of Education. The study was carried out by experimental method. The study group consists of 80 students, including 40 students in the Samsun Mimarsinan Primary School, an experimental group and 40 students in the control group. While the subjects pertaining to the musical perception and information learning area were taught by the classroom teacher with the traditional (classical) teaching method in the control group, the experimental group was taught by the researcher using the creative drama method. The pre-test and post-test post-test music course success scale was applied to both groups. With the results obtained from the scale, the effect of creative drama method on students' achievements towards the music lesson was investigated. As a result, it was found that creative drama method had a positive effect on students ' achievements, there was no significant difference according to gender, and the effect on students' achievement levels was 'enormous'.

This study was developed and conducted to test the effect of cognitive restructuring in the management of mathophobia (that is, Mathematics anxiety) among secondary school students in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria. To guide the study, two research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated for testing at 0.05 level of significance. In executing the study, the pre-test, post-test, and control group experimental research design was adopted using a randomized sample of 120 SS2 students drawn from three public secondary schools only. The researchers developed an instrument titled “Mathematics Diagnostic Questionnaire” (MDQ) which was adequately assessed for validity and reliability and was used in collecting pre-test and post-test data for the cognitive restructuring and control groups. Data analysis was done using mean, and standard deviation for the research questions, while independent sample and paired sample t-test were used for the hypotheses. The result obtained showed that the cognitive restructuring was significantly effective in the management of mathophobia among secondary school students. There is a slight reduction in the effect of cognitive restructuring during follow-up; there is a statistical significant difference in the mathophobic level of students treated with cognitive restructuring and those in the control group. Based on the major findings, recommendations were made among which is that functional guidance and counselling centers be established at all educational levels and be manned by professional counsellors who are competent in cognitive restructuring techniques to assist those who have mathophobia and other maladaptive behaviours. Suggestions for further study were made.

This research aims to find out Is there any significant differences between the impact of traditional teaching method and using Index Card Match in teaching English vocabulary at the First Year Students of SMA HANG TUAH 3 MATARAM and to find out does using Index Card Match have a positive effect on students’ vocabulary knowledge. The sample of this research is 40 students. The kind of this research is experimental research. The students are divided into two groups such as experimental group and control group. Then the research subjects are pre-tested to know their prior vocabulary mastery. After the treatment, the sample is post-tested to know their recent vocabulary mastery as the result of the treatment. The scores in both pre-test and post-test are taken as the main data of the research. The data is analyzed by using t-test.

In this study, it was investigated that effect of games including physical activity on digital game addiction of 11-14 age group middle-school students. Along with the determination of digital game addiction, conducting applied experimental study is important regarding showing results of application with theoretical knowledge towards solving problem. Within this framework, it was thought that “games including physical activity” will be important tool for decreasing the level of digital game addiction. Experimental Design method was used in the study in which was adopted Quantitative Research model. When 11-14 age group students who addicted digital games consisted of the population of the study, the sample of the study consisted of 29 girls and 51 boys who have studied. In the study, personal information form and digital game addiction scale that was developed by the researcher were used as measurement tools. During data collection period, by accepting applied pre-test to students as criterion sample process, students who have high addiction level (total scale score is 49 and above) were detected and control (n = 40) and experimental (n = 40) groups were created with unbiased assignment method. After the 12-weeks period “games including physical activity” training, the data which was collected from the control and experimental groups by taking post-test data was evaluated with SPSS 20 packaged software. It was found that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test of both sub-dimensions and total addiction scores and post-test scores were lower than pre-test scores. It was shown that post-test addiction scores were significantly higher than pre-test addiction scores in control group. When investigating post-test addiction scores of control and experiment groups, it was shown that addiction level of experimental group significantly decrease comparing control group. It was determined that pre-test/post-test scores of experimental group students did not show significant differences in terms of gender, age, education level of mothers, education level of fathers, number of siblings. It was also found that pre-test/post-test addiction scores of experimental and control groups showed significant differences regarding playing digital game duration. When playing digital game duration decreased in experimental group, playing game duration increased in control group. Therefore, it was concluded that addiction levels of students who are digital game addict decreased because of interesting games including physical activity. As a result; physical moving games and sports can be said to be an important tool in dealing with digital game addiction. It can also be said that an important way to protect children from such addictions is to do sports.

Productive thinking is the cognitive ability to plan, reason logically, analyse, synthesize, evaluate, and make decision to reach at the solution of the problem or we can say that it is the ability by which one can refine their creative work with critical thinking to give strength and value to it. It is a way to solve problems creatively. For this research, a model has been developed called as FIESI (Foundation, Ideation, Evaluation, Stabilization and Implication) for fostering productive thinking. Researchers conducted an experiment to foster productive thinking among VIII standard students with the help of this model as elementary level is delimited to standard VIII. Quasi-experimental pre-test post-test control group design was used. Two Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) were selected purposively for experiment purpose. One section of standard VIII from each school was selected as the sample for the experiment and control groups. Students of both the classes were made equivalent on the basis of a science achievement test. The equivalent groups consist of 26 students each. Researchers taught Science to the experimental group for one academic year (2019-2020) using FIESI model and the control group was taught by their regular teachers. Researchers developed and validated a productivethinking test for data collection. Data were analysed using chi-square. The finding revealed that FIESI model was found significant in fostering productive thinking among standard VIII students.

This study investigated the effects of problem-solving teaching method on elementary school students’ physics achievement at elementary school. In this investigation an experimental research procedure was used. Along with this, a sample of sixty students was drawn from a total of three hundred seventy-eight students using lottery method of sampling technique. Physics achievement test (pre-test and post-test) covering the unit ‘’Introduction to Electronics’’ was used as measuring instrument. Then, based on the pre-test scores, mixed ability groups such as fifteen high and fifteen low scoring 30 students each were assigned as experimental (13Fand17M) and control(15 and15M) groups using lottery method of sampling technique Students in the experimental group were taught using problem solving teaching method while those in the control group were instructed with lecture teaching method. The post-test constructed by the writer in the sample unit taught was administrated to both groups immediately after the treatment was over. Finally, the results of the study revealed that problem-solving teaching method was more effective in teaching physics as compared with lecture method at elementary school level.   Key words: Achievement, Effect, Elementary, Physics, problem

When teaching or training fencing we find that most learners are able to perform some fencing skills during learning within the lesson, but they find it difficult to perform the same skills when linked in one sentence after a short period or in subsequent lessons, or during practical exams, so I conducted those Study to develop solutions to this problem by investing the Zahoric model and its distinctive educational steps in learning the kinetic sentences in the female blinds, and its impact on the process of learning and linking kinetic sentences in the sport of fencing and make the learning process more effective and economical.   The experimental method was used by designing the experimental and control groups with pre- and post-test on a sample of the second stage students (B22), representing the experimental group and learning the skills using the Zahoric model in its five steps, while the (D26) student representing the control group, which is learning the fencing skills according to the teaching method. Followed. The learning and performance of some kinetic sentences were evaluated by a standardized form of fencing according to the parts of the movement and their manifestations.  An educational curriculum has been prepared using the Zahorik model to learn the kinetic sentences by fencing according to the sectoral vocabulary of the second semester by following the steps of the model (activating information - acquiring - understanding - using - thinking in information). After the statistical treatments, it was concluded that the Zoharic model, designed to learn some kinetic sentences in the experimental group, gave positive results in evaluating the kinetic sentences better than the teaching method used in the control group. In light of the conclusion, it is recommended to adopt the Zoharik model in learning some kinetic sentences with a blind weapon, as it gives the learner a positive in the analysis, composition and understanding of the movements that are combined to give a kinetic sentence that ends with a touch in favor of the attacker who clearly understands where it begins and ends the syntax of the correct kinetic sentence, which resolves the sentence in his favor.

This study sought to determine the effect of the problem-solving approach on academic achievement of students in mathematics at the secondary level. The secondary school students studying mathematics constituted the population of this study. The students of 10th class of Government Pakistan Girls High School Rawalpindi were selected as a sample for the study. Sample size consisted of 48 students who were equally divided into an experimental group and a control group on the basis of pre-test. Treatment of the planned problem-solving approach is the guideline of Sherreen (2006) and Polya’s (1945) heuristic steps of the problem-solving approach. After the treatment, post-test was used to see the effects of the treatment. A two-tailed t-test was used to analyze the data, which revealed that both the experimental and control groups were almost equal in mathematics base at the beginning of the experiment. The experimental group outscored the control group significantly on the post-test.

The general aim of this study is to determine the effects of teaching method based on digital storytelling on students’ learning and study strategies. In this study, as one of the true experimental models, pre-test/post-test control group experimental design was used via detachedly selected experiment and control groups. In the study, a teaching method based on digital storytelling was applied for the participant students in experiment group on the other side, the teaching technique based on PowerPoint Presentation was used in control group. According to the results of the data that was analyzed for this study, it was determined that there was a positive effect of digital storytelling on learning and study strategies. It was clarified in this study that digital storytelling succeeded more points on dimensions namely attitude, anxiety, concentration, selecting main ideas and test strategies under the main concept of learning and study strategies than the teaching technique based on PowerPoint Presentations.
