Lifelong learning plays an important role due to the actual needs that we have in terms of knowledge-based economy. It provides education both to working and non-working people who want to be part of this developing society. In this study, two different levels of the Spanish Adult Education are assessed but not only from an individual point of view, but also from the point of view of cooperation between them in order to improve the teaching-learning process. Both the Education Centre of Olmedo (Olmedo, Spain) and the University of Burgos (Burgos, Spain) are described deep inside and likewise, the activities that they two are developing to interconnect both the two centres and the educational levels so that the learning process is never interrupted. Activities such as seminars, web pages management, oral presentations and questionnaires showing different aspects of the educational process will be discussed in the present study. The use of the new Information Technology and Communication (ICT) should be enhanced for effective learning of our adult students. From our results, it will be demonstrated that adults can be part of the education system and therefore gain new skills and knowledge that let them succeed in their lives. Key words: adult education, developing society, lifelong learning, teaching-learning process, teaching methodology.

Empathy is an important part of emotional intelligence and the latter is crucial for human relations, whether they be interpersonal relations, relations among people at work, or in a wider community. Therefore, empathy is important for adult education, for guidance counsellors, and for other adult educators. Adult educators must be empathic in order to understand the perspectives and needs of the participants in the educational process and empathy is a precondition for understanding. The development of empathy as a competence is a lifelong learning process. Namely, despite some biological predispositions for empathy, the latter can be learnt. It is the contention of the article that empathy is one of the most important intercultural competencies, because if a person is not empathic, other intercultural competencies vary rarely cannot develop to their full extent. Thus empathy is a precondition for successful intercultural dialogue.

From our point of view, this should be based on clarity and objectivity, and students should be part of it. We introduce a practical proposal of metha-assessment for Physical Education in secondary schools. The central element is called: «Logbook». Our goal was to make students principal actors of their own learning and development process, including assessment. Thanks to the use of this notebook, the teaching-learning process «exceeds the class’ walls» to become a tool that students can use in and out of school. Students’ responses after the application of this approach have been very positive, because it gives «voice» to the real main character of the whole educational process: the student.

The United Nations (UN) identifies four key elements as agents for change and for addressing societal challenges: education, research, innovation and leadership. The use of technology, from a pedagogical and organizational point of view, in higher education institutions has brought about new challenges. The integration of them in the teaching–learning processes has experienced a great evolution, giving way to a digital transformation and the acquisition of new skills and knowledge, thus pointing towards quality education within the framework of sustainable development objectives. This document aims to describe and analyze the ways in which seven higher education institutions, three in Spain and four in Mexico, have taken up the challenge of adopting technologies and applying them to the educational process. To this end, in-depth interviews and direct observations were carried out. The results point to three dimensions: technological, pedagogical and organizational, which shed light on the different factors that influence the choice and availability of the use of technologies. The results indicate that contextual factors play a determinant role in the ability of an institution to profit from technologies to aid the educational process and guarantee its quality.

Abstract The article deals with the theoretical foundations of teacher training for adult students in the UK. It has been found out that the system of adult education is based on the andragogical approach that reveals patterns, psychological and pedagogical factors of effective learning. In applying the andragogical approach to adult education the following factors contribute to the learning process improvement: considering the motivation of adult learning, defining educational interests and needs of each adult student, the choice made by andragogue of the learning strategies and techniques designed to increase the professional level of adult education, practical implementation of knowledge and experience acquired by adult students in training process, taking into account the individual characteristics of each participant in the learning process, the desire to cooperate with the teacherandragogue. The theoretical basis of this process is the science of andragogics. It has been revealed that when working with an adult student, the following approaches are used: traditional didactic, problem-search, facilitating that are focused on the content and the learning process. In the article it is justified the relevance and necessity in the learning process of pupils in the conditions of information society to develop not only their personal qualities, but thinking which is a significant factor, determining the process of improving the system of continuous education of a person in XXI century. As early as in the 70s of XX century the Russian philosopher and psychologist Davydov V. V. emphasized that in the rapidly developing society the classical pedagogy in its current variant aims at constant expansion of the information volume of curricula that will eventually lead to a crisis of education, falling level of education, as pupils will not be able qualitatively to master the whole volume of knowledge during the period of study at school. The idea of way out of this situation was formulated by Davydov V. V. It lies in the fact to “teach a child to learn independently”. It means that it is important to convert a child from trainee into “learner”, i.e. “being able to teach yourself”, to make “subject of his own education”. It is appropriate in the primary school to form pupils’ ability to independent theoretical knowledge, to develop their theoretical thinking. If during the teaching process the pupils have not formed conceptual thinking, then children’s unconsciousness of own intellectual operations and inability of their voluntary use are kept. Memorized the rules and formulas, a child does not see their field of application, he is not able to use them, he has difficulty with transferring of intellectual skills into similar situations, he does not notice illogicality of own wrong conclusions, contradictions in the statements. In the article it is particularly emphasized that the main purpose of general secondary education in the information society is to teach the pupils to think. Educational process has to promote development of conceptual thinking which is formed only by studying sciences, i.e. through the development of objective laws of the surrounding world.

The aim of this mixed research is to analyze the students' perception about the use of the collaborative wall in the educational process of global climate change considering data science. The collaborative wall is a web application that allows the active participation of students and discussion of ideas in the classroom. During the face-to-face sessions, the students use mobile devices to share the information and images of the courses through the collaborative wall. The sample is made up of 74 students from the National Preparatory School No. 7 “Ezequiel A. Chávez” who took the Biology IV course during the 2019 school year. The results of machine learning (linear regression) indicate that the organization of ideas and dissemination of information in the collaborative wall positively influence the learning process of global climate change, motivation and interest of the students. Data science identifies 6 predictive models about the use of the collaborative wall in the field of Biology through the decision tree technique. In fact, the use of the collaborative wall in the Biology IV course facilitated the assimilation of knowledge about the global climate change and improved the active participation of the students in the classroom. Finally, the collaborative wall allows the creation of new educational spaces where students acquire the main role during the learning process.
