Speaking is one of the speaking skills possessed by students. Speaking skills have been trained from an early age, but the results of speaking learning are still far applied. Many students still experience difficulties in learning to speak. such as shame, fear and anxiety and lack of confidence inhibiting learning factors in speaking to students lacking motivation, poor student learning habits, mastery of students' vocabulary is still low, as for student learning strategies are one aspect that determines the success of students in speaking, students can have student learning strategies by memorizing vocabulary, believing themselves and improving vocabulary pronunciation. This research was conducted to identify the difficulty of speaking in English faced by students and find out the strategies they used to overcome these difficulties. This researcher used a qualitative descriptive method involving as many as 17 students in grade 9 at 3 Medan Christian Middle School, research results this shows that students have difficulty speaking in English namely lack of grammatical understanding, lack of vocabulary, incorrect pronunciation of words fearing the response of others feeling nervous in making mistakes, lack of self-confidence and shame in the strategy that students do is asking help to others trying to compose sentences in different ways by using gestures, taking the rules in positive thinking, can be concluded that students have a sense of difficulty in speaking English.

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk analisis penggunaan Schoology pada Mata Pelajaran PPKn terhadap minat belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan Bantul Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus tahun 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah : (1) satu orang Kepala Sekolah SMA N 1 Srandakan Bantul (2) satu orang Guru Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (3) Siswa SMA N 1 Srandakan sejumlah 8 orang. Teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pemerikasaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Schoology memiliki kemudahan dalam mengatur administrasi pembelajaran siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan karena siswa dapat presensi, mendapat materi hingga evaluasi di Schoology; (2) Schoology dapat mengendalikan minat belajar siswa dalam aspek preventif dengan cara kegiatan belajar menyenangkan, persuasif dengan cara membujuk melalui fitur massages, dan represif dengan cara didatangi rumahnya berdasarkan informasi yang disajikan dalam aplikasi tersebut; (3) Schoology memiliki tampilan seperti media sosial Facebook ditandai warna dasar yang sama yaitu biru dan putih serta menu yang identik; (4) Schoology memiliki keunggulan untuk diskusi pada pembelajaran daring, siswa dapat berdiskusi kelompok dengan guru sebagai pemantik materi dalam fitur Groups; (5) Schoology mengakomodasi aneka macam media pembelajaran antara lain media gambar visual, audio, dan audio visual atau video. Kata Kunci: Schoology, PPKn, Minat Belajar Siswa Abstract The research aims to analyze the use of Schoology in PPKn Subjects on student interest in learning at SMA Negeri 1 Srangkan Bantul in 2020. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Srangkan from July to August 2020. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were: (1) one principal of SMA N 1 Srangkan Bantul (2) one teacher of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (3) 8 students of SMA N 1 Srangkan. Data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity was checked by data triangulation. The results of this study are: (1) Schoology has the convenience of managing the administration of student learning at SMA Negeri 1 Srangkan because students get presence, receive material and evaluation in Schoology; (2) Schoology can control student interest in preventive aspects by means of fun, persuasive learning activities by persuading through massages, and repressive features by visiting their house based on the information presented in the application; (3) Schoology has a display similar to Facebook's social media marked with the same basic colors, namely blue and white and identical menus; (4) Schoology has the advantage of discussions on online learning, students can have group discussions with the teacher as material triggers in the Groups feature; (5) Schoology accommodates various kinds of learning media, including visual images, audio, and audio-visual or video media. This article aims to look for learning problems faced by students of class VI MIS Handapherang-Ciamis, the teacher's efforts and the steps taken to overcome these problems. By using qualitative-descriptive method, research concludes; First, students experience difficulty in reading and writing. The problem factor comes from the parents and from the students themselves. Second, the efforts made by the class teacher at school to grade VI students who experience learning problems that is maximizing their sense of hearing by listening to the teacher when explaining the learning material, guided when the child does not understand the learning material and finally teacher guided when the child does not pay attention to the teacher explaining in learning process. Third, the teacher's stages in overcoming student learning problems starts from determining the problem to solving the problems that occur in students of class VI MIS Handapherang.


English communication is a problem faced by the human resources involved in the tourism activities in Desa Wisata Tista, Kerambitan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency, Bali. However, there had been no research that identified English problems. Then, this research was done to (1) identify the problem faced by the human resources involved in tourism activities in Desa Wisata Tista, Kerambitan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency, Bali and (2) finding out the proper and suitable English learning strategies to improve the English mastery of the human resources involved in the tourism activities in Desa Wisata Tista, Kerambitan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency, Bali. The data used in this research were gained through interviews, observation, and literature studies. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the analysis reveal that (1) the numbers of the human resources who can speak English is limited, (2) the lack of speaking skills using English, (3) the lack of English vocabulary they have, and (4) low level of self-confidence to communicate in English. These problems can be overcome by implementing several strategies, namely (1) memory strategy, (2) cognitive strategy, (3) affective strategy and (4) social strategy. Based on the identification, the managers can conduct English course for the community. This study aims to apply "lesson learning" in increasing student learning participation in class. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The study involved fifth-semester students of the English Teacher Education program at Muria Kudus University in the Teaching English as an Additional Language (TEAL) course. The data in the study were obtained using observation and documentation. Data were obtained from before and during student participation during class learning. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data tabulation, data presentation, and concluding. The results show that the application of lesson study can increase student participation as long as learning activities increase critically and critically affect the learning atmosphere. Study lessons can make students have a strategic and significant contribution in all stages and development of course materials. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the application of lesson studies in increasing student participation in learning in other subjects.

This article aims to describe the barriers to student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at MA Maarif 06 Pasir Sakti, East Lampung. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with data sources of teachers, homeroom teachers, students and parents. The result of this determination is that there are several obstacles faced by students, teachers and parents in teaching and learning activities in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, namely the addition of internet quota costs, communication and socialization between students, teachers and parents is reduced and working hours which becomes unlimited for teachers because they have to communicate and coordinate with parents, other teachers, and principals. The positive contribution of the results of this study is the spread of information regarding the urgency of mastery of technology to support every activity carried out by humans, one of which is in the realm of education to be able to compete globally.

This study aims to find out a brief history of the history of Muhammadiyah education in Tulangan, Sidoarjo, learning strategies, analyzing the courageous learning process, supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in carrying out learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a very big impact on education, especially in the learning process that was initially carried out directly but is now converted into courageous learning. Students are required to be accustomed to less effective courage. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. This research used This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. By taking sound recordings during the interview process. Learning strategies are carried out in order to achieve learning objectives which are expected to establish good communication between teachers, students and also guardians of students. As for some of the supporting factors for teachers in the learning process, namely the number of cellphones, quotas, and stable internet networks. And the inhibiting factor is not being able to meet face to face directly which makes students not focus on receiving online learning.

AbstractCharacter education in Indonesia is being re-implemented to shape students to have intellect and character and can be taught through art education, one of which is Javanese opera. Langen carita is one of the arts that is intended to shape children's character as a continuation of children's art education. Langen carita is a form of the sariswara method in which there are literature, songs/music/karawitan, stories and solah bawa in short operas or children's plays (ages 10-14 years). Langen carita has also developed as a performing art with many historical stories, chronicles, or daily life, including Patine Arya Penangsang. This study aims to describe the values of character education in the language of the play Patine Arya Penangsang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by studying, analyzing, expressing, and describing character education values in performing art. Data collection techniques used literature study, interviews, observation, and documentation, which were then validated using triangulation. The results showed that Langen Carita entitled Patine Arya Penangsang has values of religious character education, tolerance, discipline, creativity, love for the country, responsibility, leadership, self-confidence, never giving up, cooperation, obedience, perseverance, patience, courtesy, and sincere. AbstrakPendidikan karakter di Indonesia sedang diterapkan kembali untuk membentuk siswa memiliki akal pikiran dan budi pekerti dan dapat diajarkan melalui pendidikan seni, salah satunya dalam bentuk opera jawa. Langen carita merupakan salah satu kesenian yang ditujukan untuk membentuk karakter anak sebagai lanjutan pendidikan seni dolanan anak. Langen carita adalah bentuk dari metode sariswara yang di dalamnya terdapat sastra, tembang/lagu/musik/karawitan, cerita dan solah bawa dalam bentuk opera kecil atau sandiwara anak (usia 10-14 tahun). Langen carita juga berkembang sebagai seni pertunjukan dengan banyak cerita sejarah, babad atau kehidupan sehari-hari, salah satunya patine Arya Penangsang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam langen carita lakon Patine Arya Penangsang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengkaji, menganalisis, mengungkapkan, dan menggambarkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter di dalam suatu kesenian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa langen carita berjudul Patine Arya Penangsang memiliki nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter religius, toleransi, disiplin, kreatif, cinta tanah air, tanggungjawab, kepemimpinan, percaya diri, pantang menyerah, kerja sama, patuh, tekun, sabar, sopan santun, dan ikhlas dalam unsur drama, tari, dan musik.

This research study is focused on how efforts to foster self-confidence speak Arabic through Whatsapp groups in PKPBA UIN Maliki Malang? The purpose of the study is to describe efforts to foster self-confidence in PKPBA UIN Maliki Malang students in speaking Arabic through Whatsapp groups. The positive results that contributed to this research are positive things that can be used by educators in the use of WhatsApp group as an effort to foster confidence for students to speak Arabic, train students to dare to speak Arabic, and become one of the source of thought for speaking skills learning strategies in PKPBA UIN Maliki Malang. Based on the above objectives, this research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques: observation, and documentation. While the data is descriptive and analyzed inductively. From this research, a finding was found that self-confidence in students to speak Arabic can be grown with the use of Whatsapp groups.

Learning that does not pay attention to individual differences in children and is based on the wishes of the teacher, will be challenging to be able to lead students towards the achievement of learning goals. One application rather than active learning is the Question Students Have strategy (questions from students). This study aims to find out and understand the forms, steps, strengths, and weaknesses of the Question Student Have (QSH) learning strategy, as well as how the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) is modeled in Fiqh subjects in MTs Negeri 9 Bantul. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the form of the Question Student Have strategy teachers stimulated students to learn firsthand the learning material materials that would be delivered within a specific time. After that, students are invited to submit questions from material that they do not understand nor understand. Steps to make the Question Student Have strategy more effective then allocate time for each session after that if the class is too large so that there is not enough time to distribute the paper to all students, divide the class into groups and follow the instructions as above. This Question Student Have a strategy that can attract and focus the student's attention even though the classroom situation was complicated before or students had a joking habit during the lesson. However, not all students were comfortable with making questions because the level of students' abilities in the class was different. In the future, a teacher must continue to look for and formulate strategies that can embrace all differences held by students. <p class="abstrak">The purpose of this study was to find out if the ability to speak English effectively by 10th graders at SMA IT Rahmaniya was improved by using YouTube. This paper focused on implementing YouTube as a method for teaching speaking that is different, interesting, and fun, while creating a classroom atmosphere that is comfortable and increases students’ enthusiasm for learning. This paper used the qualitative descriptive method as the method of research. The result of using YouTube was very effective because it allowed students to speak with more confidence and expression. They also did not have to worry about the phrases they used when speaking because they were able to see how foreigners speak English properly and correctly.</p><p class="abstrak"><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan ketermapilan berbicara bahasa inggris secara efektif dengan memanfaatkan media YouTube di SMA IT Rahmaniyah, untuk kelas X. Penelitian berfokus pada implementasi Youtube untuk pengajaran berbicara yang berbeda, menarik, menyenangkan, menjadikan suasana dikelas nyaman dan meningkatkan semangat belajar untuk siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penggunaan media YouTube selama pembelajaran di kelas sangat efektif, karena siswa berbicara dengan percaya diri dan lebih berekspresif. Siswa juga tidak perlu khawatir mengenai frasa yang mereka gunakan ketika berbicara bahasa inggris, karena mereka sudah melihat bagaimana orang asing berbicara bahasa inggris dengan baik dan benar.</p>
