The Physical Education (PE) policies in Brazil have been poorly explored and discussed. Health, education, and sports are areas of knowledge sustained by PE. However, it has not been addressed together, as the PE field purpose. The aim was to present an overview of the main historical aspects of PE policies, by systematizing their technical and operational aspects and unveil the challenges in Brazil. The research did a data extraction, which characterized as a policy analysis in the process of organizational and operational information. Additionally, a bibliography review was applied to support the discussion. The actual public programs in Brazil are established since 1995 to 2017, and most of them prioritize a specific stratum of the population to develop actions and usually cover the national territory. Actions linked to moments and not temporal construction. Finally, Brazil has a large in the evaluation and monitoring of policies around PE. For future application an alternative is the unification of political sectors to favor environments and practices to meet the current demands of society, promoting a continuing and multidisciplinary professional training and link actions beyond the public sector.

This chapter proposes two principles that should inform the development of copyright law and policy and of user rights. The first calls for more cohesion between copyright law, private law, and public law, and for less exceptionalism in copyright law. The second requires that the balance in copyright law be adjusted for its future application as a mediation tool between the competing interests of copyright holders, users, intermediaries, and the public. Instituting positive obligations for copyright holders in relation to users and steering freedom of contract toward the objectives of copyright law are necessary regulatory changes to rectify ongoing imbalances. The principle of technological neutrality should guide the judiciary in its application of copyright’s objective of promoting a balance in copyright law. The proposed guiding principles lead to the creation of a taxonomy and hierarchy of copyright user rights that take into account the myriad ways users experience copyright works.

Abstract Introduction Reducing the global prevalence of severe, avoidable medication-related harm (MRH) by 50% by the end of 2022 is the WHO’s third global patient safety challenge [1]. MRH is reported frequently in the academic literature, with increasing age being a key risk factor. The WHO have highlighted the need to improve public health literacy and knowledge about medications. Little is known about the frequency and nature of Irish newspaper reports about MRH. This study sought to address this gap and to examine reporting during the calendar years 2019 and 2009. Methods In this mixed-methods study, LexisNexis® [2], an online newspaper archive database, was searched for newspaper articles reporting on MRH, published in the Republic of Ireland during the calendar years 2019 and 2009. The search strategy focussed on “medication” AND “harm” AND “patient”. Quantitative data extraction aimed to describe the frequency (by count of articles) of reporting of MRH and the nature by describing the publishing newspaper titles and the reported details of: drug class(es), demographics (age or life stage, gender) of those experiencing harm and the severity of harm. Qualitatively, a systematic content analysis, using inductive coding is ongoing and will be reported separately. Research ethics committee approval for this study is not required because this is an analysis of material in the public domain. Results In total, 7098 newspaper articles were identified through database searching for 2019 (n=3217) and 2009 (n=3881). To date, 54% (3867: n=3217, 45% 2019, n=650, 9% 2009) of these were screened, of which 63 newspaper articles (n=44 2019, n=19 2009) were included and quantitative data were extracted. Within these 63 articles, 71 cases of individual people experiencing MRH were reported (52 in 2019 and 19 in 2009). The newspapers most commonly reporting MRH were Irish Daily Mail (31/63: 27 in 2019 and 4 in 2009) and Irish Times (17/63:9 in 2019 and 8 in 2009). Drug classes most frequently reported as causing MRH were central nervous system drugs (antiepileptics n=10, opioid analgesics n=5, antidepressants n=9, and anxiolytics n=1), cancer chemotherapy (23 cases) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (n=3). MRH was reported as being fatal (13 /71:8 in 2019 and 5 in 2009) and non-fatal (58/71), with seven cases (5 in 2019 and 2 in 2009) of permanent harm. Among the 71 individual cases of MRH, the majority were adults aged 18–64 years (n=36), children (n=7), older adults (n=8), foetus (n=3) and newborn (n=1), while the remainder did not report the person’s age. Conclusion MRH is frequently reported to the public through Irish newspapers. The study is limited by focus on newsprint media with the exclusion of other forms of digital or social media and restriction to two calendar years in a single country, which likely stifles the generalisability of findings to other contexts. Future work could explore this issue across a wider range of media platforms and examine changes in reporting over time. The study findings may support an agenda to improve the general public's exposure to information and knowledge of MRH and medication safety. References 1. On May 4, 2020, the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Latvia’s national independence was celebrated, and the 160th anniversary since the birth of the first President of Latvia, Jānis Čakste (1859–1927), was remembered on September 14, 2019. In 1917, even before the establishment of the Latvian state, Čakste published a longer essay in German, entitled „The Latvians and Their Latvia” (Die Letten und ihre Latwija), in which both the ethnic and geopolitical history of the Baltics was presented to communicate the public opinion and strivings of that time internationally. The essay also reflected economic relations in the predominantly Latvian-inhabited territory, demonstrating the political convictions and the culture-historical background of the era. The article aims to characterise the history of writing and publishing the essay in German, and its translation into Latvian (1989/90), and the translation’s editions (1999, 2009, 2014, 2019). Part of the article is devoted to analysing the culture-historical aspects, which in the authorial narrative have been expressed in the interethnic environment of the territory and the era.

The tradition of school sports facilities has its roots in ancient civilizations, primarily in ancient Greece. The preserved ruins of gymnasiums at Delphi, Olympia, Millet, Priene, Dedina, Pergamon, Ephesus or Thermessos, document well that sports facilities were a major part of the education system. They served not only for students and sports training but were opened to the public, used for social gatherings, political meetings and disputes. Contemporary school sports facilities derived from the 19th-century concept of the school’s educational program. It also included the indoor and outdoor physical education classes and facilities used for ‘body-building exercises’ - as it was named. In Poland, according to the current basic curriculum of the Ministry of National Education, the goal of physical education is to shape the long life habit of physical activity. The school activities should develop the appropriate interests and attitudes of students. Therefore, school activities should meet the needs, interests and abilities of the individual student as fully as possible. The present regulations of the Ministry of Education demand, that such classes should take place in a well-equipped sports hall or on a school playground.

Professional training assumes the formation of the young generation of spiritual values and ideals, behavioral stereotypes and concrete actions. The purpose of the research was to analyze the directions of using volunteer activity in the formation of professional and social competencies of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. The realities of the training of specialists allowed us to single out professional and social competencies as a separate species. The graduate should have an understanding and perception of ethical norms of behavior, understand the need to observe the norms of a healthy lifestyle, be creative, sociable, tolerant. In his professional work should provide for the prospects of working with the formation of a system of goals, to design the content of educational and upbringing activities with self–monitoring and self–evaluation of the work performed. It is determined that the pedagogical functions of volunteer activity are the orientation of the individual in social relations; The creation of an educational space; Ensuring the possibility of acquiring the experience of social and communicative interaction. The experience of using volunteer activity testifies to the need to ensure the unity of theoretical knowledge and practical activity, which is represented by the «model of formation» using different forms of organization in the following areas: educational, sports and social component within the framework of the students' practical training of the faculty of physical education and sport. To assess the effectiveness of experimental work on the impact of volunteer work on the formation of professional and social competence, we used quantitative and qualitative assessments, which express the changes in the characteristics of individual students. In terms of readiness of the future teacher to education of students was recorded positive trend: students with low level of readiness was 36,4 % less; middle and high readiness – more by 26,4 and 11,1 % respectively, confirming the effectiveness of educational practice using components of volunteering and its impact on the formation of professional and social competencies. Analyzing the experience of using volunteering at the Faculty of Physical Education and SportsKherson state university note that it promotes the professional experience of moral consciousness; encourages the development of motivational sphere student, his personal qualities, aspiration to self development, to expand professional competence.

OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this wok is the exploration of two preponderant dimensions of professional training. MATERIAL AND METHOD: An experimental study was carried out with a non-probabilistic selection of 300 students, considering their insertion in professional practices and social service in organizations allied with the public university. RESULTS: A dual structure of norms and values found with eight indicators explain the formation of job expectations in future professionals. CONCLUSION: The design limited the findings to the research scenario, suggesting the inclusion of other factors as well as the comparison of the model in other vocational training contexts such as the companies that participate in government subsidies to promote the first job in young graduates.
