The use of private transportation modes to the Tegal Boto campus, Jember University has increased. The increase in the volume of private vehicles will cause congestion if it is not regulated properly. Therefore, an analysis related to the selection of student transportation modes is needed to determine the tendency of students to choose transportation modes. The results of this study will be used as a first step in the improvement of transportation facilities in the area around the Tegal Boto campus, Universitas Jember. Analysis of the factors that influence students in choosing the mode of transportation will be carried out in this study. In addition, the priority of choosing the mode of transportation used by students to the Tegal Boto campus, Jember University will also be known. Research data will be obtained from questionnaires and documents from the University of Jember. The data will be analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the AHP analysis show that the factors that dominate the choice of student transportation modes to the Tegal Boto campus, Jember University are the time factor (33%). Meanwhile, the student's priority modes of transportation are motorbikes (32.7%). The choice of motorcycle mode has the largest percentage due to it is based on consideration of the time factor. Students need transportation modes that have high flexibility such as motorbikes so that the time needed to reach campus is shorter.

Coal produced in open pit mines should be moved to thermic power plants for production of power. Thermic power plants require very large amounts of coal. In transportation process of this coal, both costs and technical parameters should be considered. Common alternative transportation modes in this process are belt conveyors, truck types, suspension rail conveying systems, pipelines and railways. Selection of one of these modes is influenced by transportation distance, inclination of the haulage road, amount of coal reserve, investment costs, production capacity and unit production cost of the open pit mine. In this study, advantages and disadvantages of alternative transportation modes are analysed using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP). The results revealed, belt conveyors and trucks transportation by are superior to others.

A.  Kata kunci: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), bandara, jalur kereta api, trase Based on the Minister of Transportation decision number KP. 1164-2013, Adisutjipto Yogyakarta Airport is planned to move to Kulon Progo Regency because the existing passangers number exceeds the terminal's capacity. One mode of transportation to support the integration accessibility is the train. This research aims to evaluate the trace alternative of previous research, give a new alternative trace approach, and determine the best tracking. Preliminary survey was done by direct observation at the research sites to evaluate the previous research track and to survey possible areas for new plan. The criteria scoring and selection of trace alternatives were done by interviewing and filling questionnaires by stakeholder and analyzed using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Stakeholders are determined by purposive sampling technique involved in institution variation. The result of the research show that the trace planned by prvious research (Trace A) has the potential for social conflict and is not in accordance with new airport master plan. The new trace alternative (Trace B) has the shorter trace length and mostly using agricultural land so that social conflic is low. The best tracking based on AHP method is Trace B with total score is higher than Trace A.  Keywords: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), airport, railway, trace

The problem with many alternative decisions in the areas of management and administration commonly referred to as multi-attribute decision problems. For example, the decision problem with many variables so that the target decision can not always be determined easily. Well-known method of approach, to overcome this kind of problem is called the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP technique is given by arranging alternative levels of decision, so as to provide a structured quantitative description. Application of multi-attribute types ofproblems such as problems in the selection of software, car, project proposal, the university, the best employees, and so forth. In this paper, the approach developed using the AHP in software selection project management.
